  • Hello!
    This is my unkillable, god mode, infinite sustain, super chungus tank build designed for all classes. I dont normally make clickbait, but when I do... Im usually poking a bit of fun at it. This really is a guide on how to set up your tank for survivability when in any content.
    I stream trials several days a week here on youtube.

    Nice video! There are some legitimate content creators who really do make builds that survive really well and a lot of the times they are useful if you are not in super organized content. But it is definitely beneficial to learn how to throw on a couple skills to survive so that you can use the sets for anything else you need. I tend to run leaching a lot because even if my group falls apart I can often recover it. The problem with people making so many generalizations in this game is it is completely dependent upon a billion different factors and while sometimes there's a best fit curve there isn't always a best fit curve. If I could put my finger on one thing and say this is the biggest problem with the eso community it would be people don't spend enough time trying to understand the perspectives of people playing the game a different way. We spend too much time arguing back and forth when we have different end goals XD just like every other peaceful resolution in life people need to let people pursue what they want to and understand that their way isn't the same for everybody. I think if we can absorb that we can grow the population back and make it even bigger than it was

      Thanks Scott. Yep, still hard at work. I need to get some Dps and healer videos out but I have quite a few already for tanks on a lot of topics. Next one out will explain damage taken and resistances. It’s a bit of a deep dive but a simpler video will be out on the same subject soon.

    Ur video is so useful.
    Im playing as a templar high elf tank ( which is not the most recommended setup) and im having a blast and even going through veteran content in such a easy way…
    Is ridiculous how many “guides” just go with common sense builds ( like dks and necros tanks) because of their pssives and bla bla blas plus racial passives so we have to make the perfect tank and forget to teach the foundation which every tank relies on. U did perfectly.
    I did a “lazy tank build” and although its cool and plays nice on trash mobs, it had zero survivability. Which is what i was always aiming for.
    Currently im running. Pearlescent ward - turning tide - spaulder of ruin and i forgot the name of the head 😅, but gives you more stamina and magica

      Thanks Luis, it’s really nice to hear it’s helping out.
      And it’s funny you mention running Spaulder now, because that is not a trivial set to wear. I was running it in vSS HM last night and I felt like I had zero stam recovery. The argument so many end gamers make about survival setups is that they say basically that people will never swap out of them if they start using them, which is crazy. I guess they expect people to just pick anything up and be good at it? Idk, but again, I’m glad it’s helping out. I laughed out loud when you said your current setup is Spaulder. Guess they were wrong. Lol

    If you going to go with Engine Guardian, why not just use 1pc Magma Incarnate and Torc of Constant Tonality? I am asking sincerely, not to bust on Engine Guardian (or Rkugamz).

    • @Nightharrow
      @Nightharrow  2 года назад +1

      I think that is a valid thing to do, or even front bar/back bar some 5 piece sets and keep the monster set. I think there probably several other solutions as well, and one of them might even be better than what I recommend. Having said that, the reason I didn’t recommend the torc is because it gives you regen of the stat you are not low on, so in theory there is some management required. Where as engine guardian just kind of works as long as you are casting abilities. Just less of a mental load.
      Having said all that, I know tanks who have historically used the torc in HM’s so they can cast more buffs, so it’s a great item and you are right on in your thinking!

    DK vs NB vs Necro? Which would you say is better and why? Note, I play DK mostly and I like the chains, but I love that Necros have the rez ult

    • @Nightharrow
      @Nightharrow  Год назад +1

      Define better? Necros have the best survivability when it comes to dots, and some of the hardest fights in the game have wicked dots, so at the high end I would recommend them. Necro Rez can carry newer groups. Some fights will be much more difficult on a cro and you will die more until you get used to the melee/mob based heal.
      Dks are 80%-90% as good as the best tank class for a given job. Wardens are great in vCR, then a dk is 90% as good. Necros are good at staying alive when it matters most, dks are 90% as good. And so on and so forth. They are a jack of all trades but they are really good at most things. Also being able to be unkillable and get back all your resources with magma shell is broken.
      NB are just fun. Always on major expedition, lots of hots and group utility. You need the extra healing because you will take more damage. You are very mobile when you need to be. You are the only class/way to eke up 100% major/minor cowardice and only a nb support can do it without large trade offs.

    • @Motherclucker369
      @Motherclucker369 Год назад

      @@Nightharrow Thank you for the reply!
      I might have to switch back to necro then. I love the resource sustain that DKs have. That and chains is really what keeps me on DK. One of the concerns I have is crowd control. DKs have it pretty easy in that department.
      As for nightblade, I’ve always been told that they make great tanks and healers and have crazy good resource sustain. I admit to being utterly trash at NB. I love the concept but good lord I suck at playing them.
      Another concern, is my resources. I’m unfamiliar with how to effectively play necro. I’m afraid that as a necro id run out of it super fast and then internally cry as a boss pummels me to death 💀

    • @Nightharrow
      @Nightharrow  Год назад +2

      It’s definitely different. DKs are certainly the easiest tank to play and offer a lot of group buffs (dks have long provided more unique buffs than any other class). I personally think it is helpful and fun to play and try them all. But yeah, they definitely all play differently. I have necro specific videos that you might find helpful, but the short version is always heavy attack on your s&b and don’t use any stam abilities besides taunt at first. Stam sustain can be difficult at first. (Sry for any typos, on my phone and hard to edit lol)

    You can pick bone shield from undaunted skills... no need for class stuff :P

    • @Nightharrow
      @Nightharrow  Год назад

      You can, but you want to be very careful you don’t waste your stam on a shield and not have any to block. It’s a not to uncommon thing for new tanks to do, and that’s why I don’t recommend it. If you can manage your resources that well, then you probably don’t need this video.
      But if it works for you, keep at it.
      Edit: Cloudrest is a great example, using absorb missile and then running out of stam is something I see fairly often. It’s worth it there, because you don’t have to block much, but that is not most fights.

    Which class does a better job at tanking?

    • @Nightharrow
      @Nightharrow  2 года назад

      What do you mean by better? They generally all have strengths and weaknesses. Dragon Knight is the best well rounded and it feels like some of the older trials where designed around have a dk tank. Necros have the Rez ult that can save a group from wiping. I’ve actually done a video about how I think necro tanks are the best option for most people. I could go on but let me know what specifically you mean and I can follow up.

  • @paulwelsheimer9164
    @paulwelsheimer9164 Год назад

    No I really stop by because I'm kind of looking for I don't know a monster set that has a usable taunt, but it needs to be able to work independently alongside like a heavy attack or a light attack cuz I'm working off of one bar build and all five slots are filled up with them currently refitting tank for Imperial City sewers and my tank has one job must be able to taunt hold and keep these monsters off balance so the DPS team can move in relative safety engage and neutralize the threats.
    So it could be a two-piece monster or even a three-piece gear set the only thing that has to do at 100%, it's got to be able to pull the bosses and The Heavy Hitters if if you have any ideas suggestions or two maybe point me in the right direction I would very so much appreciate it thank you

    • @Nightharrow
      @Nightharrow  Год назад +1

      The only thing that is going to give you an area taunt is going to be the 5-piece Tormentor set. You could use the Vatashran S&B to pull them in or the Swarm Mother monster set, but neither taunt.
      Generally speaking in eso the tanks job is to grab the big adds and the dps/healer needs to group up in such a that the smaller adds also group up. Then you as a tank Crowd Control them for a few seconds while the party aoes everything down. You don’t have to taunt everything and just want to focus on the larger adds or in some cases smaller adds that have flags on their backs (ZOSes way of saying “taunt this guy, we didn’t want to make him huge).
      Let me know if that helps or you have other questions. I’m happy to help.

      I run my NB tank old school Sap Tank style. Malubeth the Scourger, Bahraha's Curse and Leeching. Fits the theme of leeching the life force of your enemies for your own vitality and makes it extremely hard to die. Though I just run vet and vet HM 4 player content with it, but did the tri fecta for both Vet Bloodroot Forge and Vet Fang Lair so far
