Does anyone else sense a huge amount of happiness when the music kicks in at the end? It's as if "thank goodness I took this time for myself and boy do I feel good!"

4 yrs ago I rolled out a towel and started the 30 days of yoga with Adriene. Today I finally did triangle pose without the assistance of a block. I struggled hard with half moon but now I understand what Adriene means when she says PLAY and ENJOY. It’s so incredible to feel and watch your progress. That’s YOGA! I’ve done the 30 days on and off for the past 4 yrs and can look back at that girl on her towel and give her a big hug for trying. My body is my home and Yoga has remodeled it. Thank you Adriene and friends! You inspire me every single day to keep on. ❤️

To everyone who feels 'disappointed' because they found this practice hard or couldn't do it: It is OKAY! We tried. And we will continue to try! Sometimes trying is also a victory. Let's give ourselves a hug for that.
Let's be kind towards ourselves. Sending hugs!

I wish I could send you a gift basket or something, because I have noticed such a difference in my workouts, how I stand and walk, and just how I recover. Yoga with you has made me actually touch my body and notice the power underneath the chubby layers, and I don't punish myself for the way I look anymore. Yoga has such a wonderful balance where you can notice what you already have and that it's amazing, but it gently pushes you. This was such a great way to get back into working out, and you make my days so much better. I hope you read this, because I am seriously so so thankful. Thank you so much for making yoga fun and attainable for beginners. I wish you many more years of happiness and yoginess!

I doubt anyone actually cares and wants to read my dumb story, but if you do, cool. Welcome. So, I’m a tiny human. I look like a stick. Every other day of yoga I’ve done with Adrienne before was a breeze. The hardest part was getting myself to stop procrastinating and get onto the mat. From there, easy peasy! You want me to do the harder version of the pose, sure! But today was very difficult physically. I fell a lot and got REALLY frustrated. It gave me a taste of what I’m sure it feels like for some other people who aren’t as flexible as me to come back to the mat every day. It really put things in perspective. So if you struggle on the mat every day, and come back the next one, you’re strong enough to move mountains with your mind. (I dunno, it’s a dumb metaphor I just made up, leave me alone.) I hope you have a great day and come back for day 16. Because if you’ve made t this far, you might as well finish, eh? Namaste 🙏 🧘‍♀️ ❤️

Sometimes the toughest (but most important?) part of my new yoga practice is reaching the point where you're overwhelmed with the negative thoughts ("I'm too slow! I'm too inflexible! I'm too weak! I'm too fat!), breathing them out (with a few tears!) with strength, and moving on with hope (and maybe some humility? ;-P). Definitely reached that point today. I'll be coming back to this one.

  • @blackrosetmv6039
    @blackrosetmv6039 4 года назад +10

This was tough. I found myself becoming frustrated during half-moon because I wasn't able to balance at all, not even for a second. Yet, each time Adriene reminded me that this was a playtime, a time to explore your body and stretch it out, and I found myself slowly relaxing and pushing back that frustration. I may not be able to do half-moon right now but maybe one day I can with enough practice. The rest of the practice was enough to make me sweat haha but it was a good sweat. I feel accomplished and proud of myself for sticking through with the poses even as my thighs started shaking. I just want to say to anyone who may be doubting their strength that is ok to not be perfect. Every time you come back and do your best, whatever that may be, is a time you can grow. It is important to believe in yourself and know your worth no matter where you are in your journey.

Adriene! Video after video you spend forever on one side and then rush through the other side and it's really stressful! Please try to make them more even!Also-- I would love to spend 2 minutes in shavasana listening to you breathe (reminding me to breeeaatthhheee) at the end of each video, instead of having to rush up and press pause and then try to get back into the zone of shavasana.I love your channel, I love your videos, I sing your praises literally everywhere. If you could improve on these two things I would be willing to pay for these videos.

I've been doing the 30 days of yoga now for 15 days , and I have not felt so moved to comment on any of the videos until now!! Today was amazing, and so far my favorite session, not only was I in a healthy sweat, but I discovered my body could do certain poses that I never thought it could!! The half moon pose pushed my body to its limits perfectly! When you said we are going into half moon pose, I was like hmmmmm Adriene you and your crazy poses, I'm just going to go into CHILD'S POSE hahah, but I was so relieved and happy to find that I could do it, maybe not for as long as you could hold it, but the push was great! I've done my 15 days in many locations; friends houses, my boyfriends bedroom as his friends paint the hallway outside, my moms basement and my tiny room I've rent for the summer in a city far away from everyone I love. In all the commotion this has been my constant. Thanks Adriene. ❤️

Have been doing yoga with Adriene for three months now, and i am so grateful... And, actually, i have lost some weight (but besides practice, i've also changed my diet - no more junk food, no more sugar, cookies and other unhealthy stuff, and much less alcohol :D)
So, to everyone that is seeking for health in any way - physically, mentally, i can only say - just stick with it, be patient, courageous to come to the mat everyday, grateful to be given the opportunity to practice. Be grateful that you are alive (seriously).

Day 15 and I'm reflecting on the challenge. What I'm aware of most is how this challenge has helped me not only to connect to myself but also to connect to a positive community of people around the world who are spending time being still and truly alive whilst the rest of the world seems to be rushing around doing and forgetting what it is to just be. So thank you everyone and thank you Adriene. Namaste.

Today, as with everyday of the program, I found there was a little adventure as well work on building skills for developing a really positive home practice. I look forward to the second half and can't imagine now a day without having it to look forward to. Thank you.

I started doing yoga about 9 months ago, nothing serious I just thought I would go to a class here and there to help regain some of that lost mobility. As time past I stopped going weekly and then pretty much altogether. I met this guy who teaches acro yoga along with some other classes and my interest rekindled. I did not however want to pay for classes that I may or may not go to on a regular basis.
I did a little research and found your channel, I think it's one of the better youtube yoga channels out there. I have been following this 30 Days of Yoga and have reached the half way mark. I've missed three days but made those up by following two videos the next day along with any other supplementary yoga video that I feel will help my body.
So far this has been a great experience and am planning on going much longer than 30 Days!
    Here's to Adriene!!!

I'm 8 weeks postpartum and have been doing your 30 days of yoga for about 3 weeks now (have had to take some breaks here and there) I feel amazing after doing this one today. I fully believe yoga is speeding up my recovery and putting me in a positive mindset. Thank you!

Though I couldn't complete my half moon for the full time, I am so happy I was able to do part of it and I can't wait to try it again. I reached muscle failure with this one which is why I fell out of my half moon, which means next time I try it, I will be stronger, until one day I will be able to stay in half moon for the amount of time required. Thank you Adriene for this gift you are lovingly gifting us! Your precious time and an awesome inspiring workout! You are amazing girl!

I know I'm a little bit late to the 30 day experience, but by day 15, I feel so released; physically and mentally. I've decided to deal with some issues and events in my life that I had never dealt with before, because of the awareness and comfort I've found in these routines. After sorting that out and experiencing day 15, I feel reborn. Thanks so much for the time you devote to sharing your practice!

I only skipped the vinyasa once today! And just once, I even managed to go from upward dog to plank without using my knees for support. Woohoo! I love your videos, especially the bits where your personality shines through - that shoulder shimmy today was adorable. Thanks for sharing!

I love this series! Adriene, ya make me laugh at least once in each video. Fencing? Haha! Just when I am taking myself too seriously, you make me imagine myself as a fencer, which immediately takes the stress away . Anyways, just FYI, on this video, at 28:00, the editing cut off the left leg cradling. We cradled the right leg for almost a whole minute and then the left one for only like 8 seconds. Might want to fix that so you don't get trolled by critical people. I just paused the video and did it myself.

mildret plotka I suspect we've all been through that at some point. Just look upon it as room for growth & development. Keep practising and one day you'll nail it and find the biggest smile on your face ever. Yoga can be a slow journey for many of us. Stay mindful and enjoy the ride.

I think this was the hardest yoga practice I have ever done! Not that I'm an expert by any means, but gosh my butt is gonna hurt tomorrow ;-) I hope that you've been better able to do the half moon since your post. I choose to remind myself that a hard practice session only means you still have so much to look forward to :-)

Mildret-you can do this pose against a wall (with support) and you are getting just as much benefit. It feels wonderful. This is a challenging pose. Don't give up and don't "worry" about using the wall, as my yoga teacher reminds us, it is a sign of intelligence to do so.

Your videos are amazing. Thank you for being a positive light in this world. I'm getting back to the rhythm of things and I just wanted to say thank you! Although, I didn't do as good as I thought I could have done on this video I am still happy on what I did achieved. Anyone else have a dog that wants to join in on the yoga? Mine is normally strange. A bit cat like because he only wants affection when he wants it. But when I do these videos he lays down and stares at me for at least half of it. Then when there's resting poses on the floor, he lays beside me for a few minutes.

It was 4 months so far that I was fighting with my imbalanced state of mind. Some days are bad, others are worst. This challenge was helping but I still was finding myself crying for the rest of the day. I'm having eating and sleeping issues, I'm used to feel helpless, weak and devastated...
TODAY'S PRACTICE CHANGED SOMETHING! SOMETHING LITERALLY CLICKED INSIDE ME!
I actually started to think about opportunities and possibilities to make the world better place which was my aim in the first place but I got lost... And finally I think I was able to let go regrets about the past.
Of course the previous state of mind can come back and probably will, but now after I experienced this emotions it will be easier for me to find equilibrity.
Adriene, thank you for showing the road to those who lost themselves.

I tried this routine (can we say routine about a yoga sequence? I'm not a native speaker so feel free to correct me) after a pretty though workout and I wasn't satisfied with it. I'm just done doing it for the second time and it felt much better. I still can't keep a half moon for more than three seconds, even with half of my (law school) books piled on the floor to help me, but at least it's better than this morning :). After all, I love 30 days of yoga because it "forces" me out of my confort zone... In a sweet way (Thank you Adriene!)
Ps. One of Adriene's breath = five of mines. Am I the only one?
