At the age of 19, I had to have emergency back surgery and had lost the use of my left leg due to nerve damage. Post surgery I could use my leg but it is permanently weak with nerve damage. At 26, I had my second surgery and was told that the next surgery could leave me paralyzed. I knew that I needed a way to strengthen myself but I was always afraid or frustrated at what my body could not do. This has been the first time that I felt the accommodations my body needs are accepted and that I can do this even though it scares me. This has helped my soul (and body) more than I can say and I thank you. You matter and what you do changes people for the better.

I have also had 2 major back surgeries and I appreciate the accommodations so much as well! I also love having the opportunity to chose to do what Adrianne is doing, and feeling accomplished!! I love this so much! I have never committed to doing any type of exercise daily, and this has given me a lot of inner pride.
I did want to find out if there is anything you suggest for nerve damage in my arms. I have terrible circulation due to my severe back injuries, so the only thing I am having problems with is when we are doing a new pose for the first time, and it takes a few extra breaths to get the explanation or to watch the demonstration by the time you start the count my arms are completely numb. I hate to give up and stop early, and was wondering if there are any additional accommodations that we can do to help with the numb arms. I love love love this so much and have recommended it to literally anyone who will listen!! Thank you!!!💜

Day 13: Oh are 25 mins done already?
I'm genuinely loving this, I'm a bit sore, my flexibility and balance aren't 100% but I am loving loving LOVING the burn and I'm remembering why I loved yoga so much.

The first time she said "I love you" I was touched. The second time she said it, I spontaneously started to cry. So amazing what we hold in the body. Thank you for this practice, it's the perfect fit for where my life is right now. Even more than I realized, obviously.

It has taken me longer than 13 days to get here, but I've been enjoying every day so far and can't wait to discover the next 17 days. Thanks Adriene! This is as good as any private class, so I've sent you a donation on your site. Happy to help keep these RUclips videos coming. I encourage others to do the same. Even a buck or two each would show Adriene how much we all appreciate her classes and effort to make these videos for us.

Adrienne, you often ask this question” what brought you to the mat today” and I always thought I had to have an amazing answer -I’ve come up with many good answers! But today I realize I’m here because it always and consistently makes me feel better physically and mentally to do yoga with you. The difference in my body and energy and thoughts running through my mind is so noticeable. This is incredibly grounding and centring. Thank you!

EASE - Oct 2023. I was frustrated with my body for the first half of this practice. My intention was "presence", but I was having a hard time sticking with it. Balancing poses are an amazing reset for me - just a little fall, a little laughter, and a little acceptance. Good stuff. (Day 4 of my yoga journey. Worried my resolve will waver with the weekend. But MAN this is feeling good.)

I did the whole practice until shavasana so I'm happy with that. Sometimes you just gotta accept and try again the next day. Namaste ❤

Yoga works! I'm completing the #30daysofyoga challenge for the 7th time this year and this practice was always more of a fight than bliss for me, as eagle pose and humble warrior are two poses that i truly struggle with. But this time around i found the ease! Even managed to wrap my foot around my leg in eagle. Truly Adriene, this beautiful program is one of the best things that has happened to me all year! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Words cannot express how grateful I am for you and for sharing this practice with the world. I just happened upon the 30 day yoga challenge, well I guess 13 days ago, and it's been great, but today was exactly what I needed. I've been going through a really hard time and the last few days I've wondered how I'm going to make it through the next few days, let alone weeks and months. This practice was the first time I actually realized I was present in my body and when thoughts about everything happening in my life came in, it wasn't with a sense of overwhelming hopelessness, it was with a sense of "I'll get through it" and then they floated away, leaving me to focus on what I was doing in the moment. Your daily reminders of the intention of our practice is perfect: My intention for the whole 30 days is intentional self-care and when I find myself getting frustrated about not doing something "right" or body image or anything else, I just say that mantra over and over and over again. I'm rambling, but I needed you to know how much I appreciate you.

So I’ve read comments from other users who say they cry during practice. Well, today I had my cry. It’s been a rough time for awhile for me and a few months ago I decided I needed new habits to replace my bad habits. I’ve never been one to exercise or even really care about my body/health, apparently losing 3 special people, who were too young to die makes you reconsider your life choices. I’m still partaking in my bad habits and I hope thru my yoga practice I can feel better about myself so I don’t need those crutches. Thank you so much Adriene, your soothing voice reminds me that I’m on the right track and if I keep challenging myself to get on my mat everyday I will begin to see improvements with my practice, posture and poses as well feeling good about myself. Thank you. ❤️

I'm still struggling with life and decided to find adriene again. I'm trying to find me, the real me. This 30 challenge is giving me something to focus on. I'm not the most enthusiastic person atm but thinking this is something I can throw myself into, use it to work magic in my head and hopefully I'll be bending in half and wrapping me legs round me neck when I'm 90! No one's perfect, no one's life is perfect, but we do deserve to find balance and happiness. The light in me sees the light in u darling, namaste x

Hi Adriene! I've signed up on RUclips solely for the purpose of letting you know how much I love your Yoga videos and how unexpectedly you managed to improve my inner and outer existence! I've first started with some little random videos of yours, then got hooked on Yoga Camp and now going through the 30 Days of Yoga challenge. I've been through some extremely difficult years emotionally speaking and there were times when I considered not being part of this world anymore. I somehow pulled through this very deep depression but struggled to find joy in life. Your videos help me so much on this journey of re-discovering myself and the world, I'm taking baby steps to re-learn hope and shed crusty thick layer of cynicism. I recently began doing yoga also in the morning, along with pranayama and meditation. I am excited to see where this journey leads. I think you are an absolute gift to this world and the internetz!

Ive done yoga here and there over many years but I had never done more than one yoga session in a week. My girflriend & I started this, 13th day in a row I've done yoga. I noticed flexibility improvement on day 3 and today is just a whole other level. I've had lower back issues off and on since April and that is gone. My ease of total body movement and my hip flexibility(major weak spot) have gotten so much better. Try it out if you've never given yoga a chance. Each day ranged from 13 to 33 minute sessions. So thankful! Thank you!

I've been a competitive runner since age 12, and I could never even touch my toes. Throughout the past year, I've ran more miles than seconds I spent stretching. A stress fracture forced me to stop running for 6 weeks. Instead of letting the injury be devastating, I decided to use it to improve my running by focusing on stretching and strengthening. I am so happy it brought me to your site! The first few days were extremely difficult. As a runner, your mind must be engaged the entire time, pushing your body to go faster, farther. It has taken practice to "check out" with my mind and focus on breathing. Even as a beginner (beginner is an understatement), I come out of your sessions feeling confident and ready for more, which is more than I can say for any other yoga class I've been to. One day soon maybe I'll even be able to touch my toes thanks to you :) Thank you for doing this!!

+Yoga With Adriene. Adriene you are an inspiration. Thanks for keeping it light and making me laugh during each session. 2 days ago I cried, and I don't know why - some sort of cathartic release that happened at the end of the session - I think you said something about doing this for yourself because you deserve it. I felt grateful and happy in that moment. My sister recommend this series to me as I was having trouble finding time for myself and getting back into fitness after 3 kids (6 and under). Life is busy but I have now thanks to you, found motivation to give this short time to myself before the household wakes up and life demands my attention in other ways. Thank-you for making the difference in my life.

Learning to let yoga not be a tool to tone, but a tool to cultivate positivity- Usually I push myself to do what is most challenging or more like a workout. I'm realizing how distorted that idea is. It contradicts the grounding intention of yoga, and man is it a relief to be letting that go. I love finding what feels good and in turn makes me feel good about myself inside and out, rather than doing what I think is best or "right" to look good or be better.

Each day I spend with you, Adriene, is easier and more calming than the day before. I am a beginner for yoga, and you have helped me through every step of the way, even if it's virtually. I have tried so many yoga teachers on RUclips and none of them have known how to make variations for everyone. Even 13 days in, I have noticed I am stronger and a lot more flexible. I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me.

day 13. Today I don't know why but just felt very insecure, stressed. Probably because of the uncertainty about my future academic life? (I'm in high school now) I was just so worried and I had a panic attack. After my mom comforting me and took some rest, I did my day 13 of yoga and I start to feel better now. I always feel calmer and relaxed after doing yoga. Thank you so much, Adriene.

Good morning from Brighton, UK, city of seagulls... I was woken at 4.45am today by these feathered residents, squawking and shrieking all over the rooftops (was going to ask for Yoga for Insomnia, but is there a Yoga for Seagulls?) Gave up trying to get back to sleep... came to my mat. Child's pose first. Aaah... accept. Accept I'm awake. Accept the damn crazy birds. Tuned into my 13th day of this awesome 30 days. Endurance was exactly what I needed. Gonna rename "eagle pose" as "seagull pose". Now bright-eyed, feathered-tailed and flying with the rest of them. Thank you, Adriene! :-D

Well, this is weird. No comments here? Maybe it's my computer... Anyway, I just wanted to say, like many, many others before me, thank you. When I was 6 years old my left foot was run over by a car and my achilles tendon was severely damage and had to be reconstructed. I was told I would never have balance on that foot, and that's the way it was, no balance whatsoever in my left foot, until now. Now, 34 years later and after doing your yoga practice for a few weeks, I cannot believe how healthy and strong my foot (and me!) is. This is amazing. My whole body has benefited from your practice but having my left foot back is what astonishes me. Again,. thank you!

Mercedes Cordero hey Mercedes, that's a really inspiring story. First of all I wanna congratulate you! I didn't get one thing, though. Your foot has been steadily recovering all these 34 years, or you mean that it was because of this practice, that there was a drastic improvement?I've been practicing for the last 13 days and I've been loving the positivity it brings to mind throughout the day and the how I'm not tired until it's already night but sometimes I develop a little pain in some parts occasionally and I have had some injury in my scapula which kind of feels funny while doing it. Sometimes I'm wondering weather or not to exert so much. Thanks for reading this through!

Day 13: Yoga with Adriene - Endurance & Ease. I had a few days now where I was unable to give myself the time and come and bring myself to the mat. Thats ok, because here I am on day thirteen and it's an auspicious kind of day. My return highlights, to myself, my dedication to my self improvement both physically and mentally. I know the spirit of the challenge is that we follow along 30 days in a row. Kudos to those that do. But also know that life happens sometimes and we can always make up a day or two. Persistence, determination, and having your heart in what you do will see you through this challenge, and any other dreams you aim to achieve. It felt good to move again after missing the past couple of days. Thank you for a wonderful session Adriene! Namaste.

When thinking of my intention for doing yoga today, the first thing that came to mind is "Because I'm worth it." It was a pleasant surprise to hear you use this phrase later in the video. The combination of her saying "because you're worth it," and "I love you," made it so this was the first video to make me cry. Feeling so supported and cared for by a community has given me a sense of peace and love that I didn't know I was lacking. I have never felt better physically or mentally. I may not be in the best shape of my life but the positivity I feel towards my progress and my continuing journey makes me feel like I am in a better place than ever before.
