For those who are struggling with the Plank ( not only in this video , but generally ) : one of the tricks is that the mind gives up FASTER than the body, so actually you have to completely shut your brain off and just concentrate on your breath; because in the second you think " I can't hold it anymore " is the second you actually collapse, but if you focus on your breath, then you increase your maximal potential to hold the plank, because your body will hold on to it much longer than your brain would " think " ( the plank is such a great analogy for the body intelligence )
Also , for the wrist hurting : be mindful to really keep your arms as vertically as possible, so that your weight is placed on the CENTER of your palms; don't let your wrist to bend, because that causes the hurting. The arm has to be perfectly aligned with the forearm, elbow and palms, otherwise it will hurt.

You are welcome and definitely do it !
Listen to me : I had WEAK ARMS and VERY WEAK WRISTS when I started to train - this is the reason for why I have read a lot of books about the correct techniques for every exercise.
These are just simple, easy to remember tips in order to maintain your body in a correct position, but it will make you go a long way, because you will reduce the chances of injury and this knowledge IS WORTH GOLD.
Do you believe that I haven't got any injury IN MY LIFE EVER since I started to train ?
      Yes, that's true.
And it's only because I paid attention to these important details, like the alignment of the joints.
You just have to pay attention in the beginning and your mind is going to remember it automatically after a while !
You will also improve a lot faster than if you would just rush through the movement !
FORM always comes before STRENGTH - without correct form, there is no real strength ( and this is a great analogy for everything you do in life ! )
I wish You All Smashing Health & Energy !!!

@@SupernovaSimplicity If you liked certain sessions, go back and do them again. You can even repeat the ones you find difficult to build up strength gradually. I sometimes go out of the 30 Days of Yoga challenge to do other things that Adriene has online to build up strength. As Adriene says, find your space.
I think this is the best way to get into yoga because each of us goes at our own space and pace without the pressure of a class. I am finding this class to be the best ever for me. I am 65, athletic (been a ballet teacher for years, do kayaking, but I have multiple weakened points on my body from all the abuse it has taken.

thank you Adriene!! I do your yoga at least 5 times a week, and your videos truly have saved me in so many ways. I started with your 30 day yoga in January this year, and I went from wanting to kill myself, recovering from a break up, working on my childhood traumas and generally feeling absolutely worthless, to happy, fulfilled and loving myself. I also saw the physical changes of your yoga(in conjunction with good eating, of course) had on my body! it has been amazing, and I am so grateful for these videos! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Really didn't want to practice today but made myself. Got extremely frustrated about half way through, to the point that I stopped the video and just sat on the floor huffing and puffing. Put the video back on, and got so frustrated I could feel tears in my eyes. Must just be a rough day for me. I wish I could say I enjoyed today, but if I hear "downward facing dog" or "kiss knee to elbow" one more time today I might cry, lol. Glad I finished the practice but still feeling grumpy/frustrated that I can't do all of the poses correctly or hold them for the amount of time. Ugh!

This was the first one where I didn't feel great about some of the poses. The other videos definitely pushed me, but the moment I was about to break I would hear "and one more breath here".. and be relieved. This one had me stopping a couple time :/

I am now back with a renewed passion for life and well being, 7 days in and loving everyday day of these yoga sessions...even day 6! and lets be honest, those abs killed after that 16min workout🤣 Thanks Adriene for providing these fantastic sessions.

First time I actually stuck to the daily practice!! I broke up with my bf and right after that, I got covid so I had to isolate in depression for 2 weeks. I have diffcult exams soon and quite a lot of work now so now even though my isolation ended, I don't really have time to socialize and get happier by hanging out with friends. Days go by fast and are always the same. Your yoga practice breaks the stereotype a bit and makes me feel more peaceful and lets me have a sense of achievement. I honestly really think yoga helped me not get crazy last days. Thank you!

    DAY 7:
Holy god was this work out intense! Are you punishing me for saying yesterday was too easy? Adriene! Peace! Lol. Despite my whining this was an awesome, and yes, for me a pretty testing work out. The whole kissing scene from downward dogs was brutally fun. And I did a sideways plank for the first time in my life! I held the right side-plank for about two breaths shorter than Adriene, and the left side was a wobbly mess that stayed at most ten seconds. Overall, if there's one big message I've taken away from my 7-days here, it's that my left side is inflexible and weak. I'm sweaty, thirsty and happy. Time for water and a shower! See ya'll on lesson 8!

Dang. Today was HARD. I sweat SO MUCH. Why did I underestimate yoga so much before?! It really is POWERFUL!
I always thought of Yoga as that thing that skinny, rich girls did to look cool and that it really didn't help, that it wasn't a real exercise, that it just made people look cool and look like they were working out when they really weren't. But I was so wrong and terribly misinformed.
I am thankful that I can do yoga from my home without having to go to a class. I don't think that I would have ever tried it if that had been the only way that I could do it. It is challenging. I fumble a bit. I am realizing just how little strength that I have in my arms and legs and how much I need yoga. I am here. I almost chickened out on today due to the length of the video, but I am here and I did it! ❤
