Took years of preparation on every discipline, singing, dancing, acting, people would be dumb to think that Netflix fiasco "Blonde" was actually about her life, she was a pro, she was too smart and therefore self critical, which made her focus too much on her flaws and insecurities. She is lip syncing which was common, even if the actress could sing (unless they were known for singing) the studio heads always had a professional singer do the somgs, they felt it was less risky. Personally, I think it was just another way of controlling the female stars and keeping them in place, Hollywood still does this kind of stuff today.
