[ IN COLOR ] Marilyn Monroe Singing Happy Birthday / President John F Kennedy 1962

  • Marilyn footage singing to JFK on his gala birthday bash on May 19th 1962. The running joke for the evening, as planned, was that Marilyn was late! it was planned that way for the event. Everything we see Marilyn do on stage was rehearsed right down to her arm movements and jumping up and down at the end of the song as we can see in the rehearsal photos before the event. so Marilyn did this spot on as planned.

@@pup2006 In reading the book "Killing JFK" they hooked up twice. JFK flew to california and they met up at Bing Crosby's house for a party and then a second time. After that Marilyn called the white house MANY times but JFK never took her call.
Also the conservative estimate of how many woman he slept with is in the 100's and started even before he was president, and could be in the 1000's. And Jackie was fully aware.

It’s not really historically proven. The only source are tabloids. When historians tried to match their timeline, they had only one night when they could have done it. So it’s either they did it that night so it wasn’t an affair but a one night stand or they didn’t do it because they weren’t alone that night.

From her history , Marilyn was known to become late arriving on a film set to work. She addressed the habit during her final interview in 1962. So, that is why Peter Lawford mentioned it before she appeared on stage. It was just for humor . I was introduced to her legacy by a close friend of mine back in 1983. Like many, I became a fan and collector too. As you know already, she will never go out of style.
