Giving an update here now that Episode 4 is out. While the episode was enjoyable, it did not fix any of my major problems with how Season 2 has been handling its characters, and finding out Blitz and Stolas resolved what happened at Ozzie's through text messages off-screen is an entirely new problem. I still like this show, and this video releasing so close to the episode was pure coincidence (as stated in the video), this video's purpose is not to tear this show down but point out why I think Season 1 did things better. And as of right now, I have not changed my stance.
It was a very nothing episode. Not as bad to me as other episodes, but it left so little impact that I think I will forget about it in a short while. The others at least had an impact on me (however negative). This one has just very little to talk about. At least Moxxie protected himself and was not treated like shit, but it's sad it's an achievement. Also Stella is just awful. She is just an evil from birth dumbass. This is beyond lazy.
I’m actually surprised u enjoyed the episode. I thought the episode was well.. kinda bad :/ I would explain but I don’t feel like arguing to all the helluva boss c@ck riders who think the show is flawless and every new episode is the “best” one when the show actually peaked at episode 7
At this point I can't even believe there's professional writers working with the show anymore. The overarching plots are sloppily placed together as if they just create new sotylines with no actual objective in mind. Now Helluva Boss feels like beautifully animated mess to be honest.
This might seem minor, but one thing that really bothered me about the Moxxie's father episode is how much of a moron Crimson is for falling for Chaz's shit, the dude never once bothered to check if his claims of being rich were actually true, and he is a Mafia Boss out of all things.
THANK YOU, that was my biggest gripe with that episode overall, how are we supposed to take a villain seriously if he's an absolutely moronic dumbass???
@@ok.4720 Good point. I liked more when it looked like BOTH Stolas and Stella were in the in the wrong, we could have gotten some good development out of this but noooooo
@@Randomyoutuber-4831 “give it time” isn’t a counter to criticism, it’s a deflection. Yeah it may get handled later but it isn’t right now, now is it? So the critique is still valid. I swear to god why isn’t this common sense.
@@Randomyoutuber-4831 a ton of shows don't get more than like 12 episodes and do better jobs at development. none of this show was exactly planned, vivzie has said that herself, so the development, esp in season 2 so far, is really bad
Yknow what I wanna see? 1. Stella's side of the story 2. Verosika's relationship with Blitz before and after he broke up with her. 3. The fate of the Cherubs 4. More Millie stories please and Loona's ACTUAL development 5. More clients. We literally did not get more clients for Imp to serve Edit: 6. Wonder if Charlie and Stolas acknowledge each other as mutual royalties or would Stolas stop the growing threat which is Alastor
YOUR FIFTH POINT IS FANTASTIC, this show is meant to be about Imps killing people for their clients with their access to the living world, yet we have gotten so LITTLE of it?
It pains me to see Stella just being a mean wife who's evil just for the sake of being evil, the arranged marriage is such a good way to give her a good character development because she was forced to have a child with a man that she doesn't even love, but nooo, let's just make her a brainless arrogant bitch with absolutely no personality
More clients please! That’s what I miss the most from the show. There’s so much potential for mini arcs and fun plots to sprinkle in some character depth. Ep 1 was one of my favorites in terms of the story, pacing, and character development. It seemed like the show wanted to go in a similar direction many animated shows go where they start off episodic to get you attached to the main cast then slowly become more serialized and plot driven with higher stakes. But then it’s like they speedran the plot so they could get to the Blitzo and Stolas drama before we could fully expand on the universe and supposed main cast.
Funnily enough, with HB’s pilot implying it to be episodic, it makes me wish they did something like Jimmy Neutron, and have it be episodic but with bits of continuity.
Damn it has been implied Stolas was r4ped by Stella.. he didn't need any more trauma as is, that's a compelling enough plot to explore but it's completely glossed over
Proof that Moxxie's backstory was not planned? Remember Truth Seekers? That Truth Serum scene? Blitzo is tormented by the sins of his past and everyone he's ever hurt? Where was Grim in Moxxie's hallucination? Where was Chaz? WHERE WAS HIS MOM??
15:20 What I find laughable is Viv saying that HB is male centered and HH female centered when marketing for HH is mostly around male characters. Who did she show in the teaser of HH of all characters? Alastor. Who did she make comics about for HH? Alastor and Angel. Who did she made a music video about? Angel. Who she talks the most about of characters from HH? Angel and Alastor. Who is the least relevant and least present in marketing member of 3 Vs? Velvette, only female one. Which of three Vs went through the biggest character change between pilot and show which implies lack of thought and being low on prority list? Velvette, ONLY FEMALE ONE. Which villain Viv focuses on more out of Angels Adam or Lute the female one? Adam. I'm sorry, but Viv can say whatever she wants, but so far her marketing seems to be telling otherwise. Also her saying she deals "fine" with criticism is also... contradicted by what she often says. EDIT: Well we are in the future and... yeah. It happened. As I said back then. What are the odds?
Yeah, it's really weird how her male characters have more attention given to them than her female characters. But yet only a few people pick up on this. Most just brush it off or are just content with this for some reason
What's also weird is that she seems to like advertising the female characters in Helluva Boss promotional videos so I'm convinced she doesn't realize it or she's lying to neglect criticism
She’s kinda baiting people with the allure of the female sex for those promotional videos, cause in the end in her show, it’s basically her j**king herself off to the now stereotypical uwu gay yaoi couple Stolitz
@@KgEclispe252Wdym? You mean she focusses on promoting the female characters? How is that… lying? That’s just not living up to how much attention they get in the actual show
Honestly, I sighed so hard when Moxxie got knocked out after threatening his dad, because I already knew it was gonna happen. After everything we had learnt about him and his past and even the 3D shot of Moxxie making the threat, it wasn't even surprising, it was just flat out disappointing.
Moxxie is weak, character points it out, blitzo (or other characters) makes a weird sex joke about him, millie affirms him, moxxie tries to show confidence, torn down by bad guy, millie saves him from bad guy, blitzo says a one liner and the episode ends
The problem with Vivziepop is that she has interesting ideas but neither the attention span or maturity to go through with them. I think that has been a problem ever since her days as a webcomic artist and its honestly disappointing to see it continue especially since her shows are being used as poster children for indie animation. Basically she abandoned her webcomic to work on Hazbin but that took years and even now she got busy doing a whole other show instead. This was also a thing in her webcomic seeing as her main character fell into a hole one fourth into the comic and never came back. She never really cared for that main character so she never bothered to include her in her own doodles. Those doodles were all of side characters whose stories were more fleshed out than her main character ever was. The other problem is that her works just don't have much depth beyond the edgyness. Its what pulls a lot of people to her works but ultimately its all she got.
Damn. Her art process sounds exactly like mine. …which is exactly why I’m not creating a webcomic or a show! People need to realize that making stories can just be a FUN HOBBY. Not everything has to be a product for the world to see 😅
And this is why I keep most my ideas to myself now days and why I don't think I'm ready to make my own series any time soon😅my ideas are just too all over the place same as my ocs 😅😅
Tone shifting problem is an issue they've had since Hasbin Hotel, they wanna say the fuck-word, swear and have dongs up the walls and then sing like in a Disney movie to increase drama. PICK ONE!!!
Yeah that episode was the worst. The only joke that I had a laugh at was after when Millie rescued moxie and shouted this ass is mine. But that was about it. The rest of the jokes were too vulgar for me
I am really disappointed and hate how much Helluva Boss has undermined itself with its writing. It went from an interesting premise of an assassination business, fueled by the shaky relationship of a failed comedian and a prince that cheated on his wife to basically a dragged-on fan fiction between Stolas and Blitz with everyone along for the ride. The pilot was more interesting than this now. I don't even know what this show was supposed to be anymore.
@@lightninggear0131 The animation and voice acting are pretty good for the most part, but I can’t help but feel like there’s a lot of missed potential with both the story and characters.
Be careful with the word "hate" around here, the Vivziepop dick riders might come after you 😱😱.. Seriously though you're so right, it has an enormous amount of flaws and it just feels like whatever stolits is now is just a fetishized gay relationship.
Not to mention, Moxxie grew up traumatized being forced to kill people in a violent mafia, so when he grows up, he gets a job as an assassin? In ep 1 Blitzo + Millie both clearly made it clear they don’t actually care if a target of theirs is innocent or has a family. Sure the family in ep 1 was secretly evil, but what if they weren’t? What if the old man I.M.P. was trying to get to kill himself against C.H.E.R.U.B. was actually a good person with family too? Makes you wonder why Moxxie chose this job or a least didn’t discuss this with Millie or something Idk
Another weird thing is that "Oh Millie" shows that Moxxie is attracted to Millie because she's such an effective killer, when the rest of the show demonstrates that he's against wanton killing. Then again, Moxxie's personality was a bit different in the pilot, so maybe we should take "Oh Millie" with a grain of salt.
@@owo4288 probably cause this show was never pre planned. I’m not defending this show on how good it is I’m just saying it wasn’t which also shows how bad this show is. Poorly executed, has tons of plot holes, un-resolved character arc, bad character chemistry, and missed potentials. Also they try so hard to make us feel sympathetic for the characters when it only worked on Octavia. Not because of her daddy issues, but because of how she’s surrounded by horrible people.
It’s so weird when in season one they made it clear that Stolas was in the wrong and it made sense why his wife dislike him. But now she was born evil, actively shit talked him while they were married and has no redeeming qualities.
And in the new episode she is straight up dumb and just like a whiney child who doesn't gets the candy she wants (when she wants stolas dead for whatever reason). These episodes in season two are like a bad fever dream...😥
@@smcphee8499 I wasn’t expecting her to be a good person either but she is currently just evil for the sake of it which can work but it never really interesting to watch her on screen be mad at Stolas with no other character traits.
@@DromusTH totaly. They build up ideas and destroy them just as easy, just because they now want to tell another story that doesn't fit so perfectly. The Story in the episodes either don't feel dreadful because of the jokes they put just everywhere and it is mostly so damn fast that you don't feel mich when things happen. I think it's really sad since i loved it befor season 2....but what they do now is just too much😞 and it's also sad when i hear from the youtubers i like that they think this new episode was just amazing and there is nothing to critique about....i mean everyone should like what they like, but really the second season has so many bad ideas and it's something that should resieve critique
What was with Vivzie's "I find it funny that people call themselves, but don't understand the basics of writing" comment? That's not cool, Viv, It's important for everyone to incorporate criticism so they can improve and make their writing better! There's no need for this passive-aggresiveness, vivzie! You're not responding in a professional way.
They tried so hard to make us have sympathy after alot of us went "of course Stella is pissed, Stolas cheated on her very publicly" then they scrambled to give him a excuse by making her a monster. And im so tired of them being pushed to the front. Give me some other consistant plot please!
thank you! i felt this way about stella in s2ep1. it felt like they were building up to a plot where stolas and blitz would actually receive consequences for .... you know, cheating? no one was expecting stella to be nice, she isn't, but most people understood that she's at least somewhat justified in her actions. but then it felt like the writers turned around and went "actually, she was a bitch this whole time! so therefore stolas and blitz sleeping together is justified!". it just felt like a HUGE cop-out for what could otherwise be an incredibly nuanced storyline
@@EvolverForU Is it cheating? In s1 Stella is mad because Stolas cheated with an Imp. There was no romance. I don't see the problem with Stella being bad, Blitz and Stolas relationship is still bad tho.
What's even worse, is that it appeared from BOTH VAs of both Stella and Stolas, that there was something far more to Stella and her relationship with Stolas, her VA even liked a tweet saying that she was "heartbroken and not thinking clearly." Stolas' VA said that Stella "has a lot of pain inside of her." Which yeah, sure the latter could be seen as anything. But it comes across as something more than Stella just being a bitch just to be....well a bitch and not care about Stolas at all. So it seemed like neither VAs really knew what was coming to S2, but then I suppose that makes sense, seeing as Viv basically admitted she didn't have any real plan for the show or characters.. Even moreso, Stolas' song lyrics "I use to think that I was bold, I used to think love would be fun." Make...no sense because as S2 showed, he didn't want to get married and didn't seem to like Stella(given first impression from the photo). So...how can he be bold or think love would be fun if....he never even tried or wanted to be married to start with? Because what we get later, from Stella he's just "a plank of wood"....soo....what? His words don't add up at all. Via's words of "and my parents didn't fight all the time." Don't make sense either now, sorry but there's absolutely no way she could be this oblivious and sheltered from her mother's opinion on Stolas, especially later on when she's more grown up. It wouldn't be hard for her to put 2 and 2 together, I mean the have a portrait of them on their wedding day and neither look thrilled about one another....oh and the leaks just make everything worst for Via and she just comes across as an idiot. Anyway, sorry didn't mean to rant.
@@wolfscar5557 no need to apologize, I liked reading what you wrote! And your right, if Stella was the same through out Octavia's childhood I dont think she would be as upset as she is. Stella had no problem hiding her vileness in the flashback to the royals so im sure she would have done it in front of Tia as well. Also why haven't we seen Tia interact with her mom at all?? What is their relationship like? I would have been fine with the arranged marriage, we dont love eachother but this is our duty so we have to do it. In the portrait in season 1 they seem content with their life. Then Stolas slept with someone else, In the bed she sleeps in, and embarrassed her in front of her royal socialites making her a laughing stock. Of course she's pissed! And he had no remorse! He could have been "I was drunk, It just happened!" And everything could have played out the same way making Tia's emotions more valid because even though her parents weren't perfect, it was okay because they shared a understanding of what their life was. But then Stolas had to make the home a battlefield with what he did and keeps doing. (Also the fact that Tia's expressed her emotions on the matter to Stolas, but he still brings Blitzø into his home to sleep with him and keeps making things worse pisses me off).
There are only 4 to 5 main character One who doesn't have parents and another who has a very healthy relationship with her parents And one that is nobility so him having a rocky relationship with his family should be expected Having Moxxie be from a mob family is pushing it a bit but him having a bad relationship with his dad and mom was foreshadowed in the first episode

I love Helluva Boss but I've started to realise I really only like the characters and concept more than the actual execution. Doesn't help how annoyingly ignorant Viv and Brandon are about critisism.
Can Millie please have an episode or something that doesn't revolve around her going full-blown psycho murder-everything-in-sight? Like, WE GET IT, she loves Moxxie and will kill anyone or anything that is mean to him.

She's quickly cemented her place in my mind as a thoroughly immature show runner by her behavior. She's on par with Thomas Astruc with how aggressively opposed to criticism she is.
She always does that... since Zoophobia.. Yeah, people were too hateful towards her but the points were valid and made sense, the fact that she can't think about her shows having flaws is so bad for it.. Helluva Boss CAN be fixed but that wont happen because she acts like a 12 year old and it pisses me off because I like the show... I'm tired of feeling dissapointed after an apisode and go "well.. I hope we get a better one next time" WHAT KIND OF SHOW MAKES YOU THINK THAT???
That, and the fact that Viv has been pretty popular and gained a massive fanbase over the years. She was definitely a bit of a behemoth in the 2010's, and now it's only gotten bigger.

It would have been fun if we saw Loona find Octavia, but see that she was upset with her dad like Loona was. Then Loona suggest they just have a fun girls day out in Hollywood
I find it hilarious how in that episode Octavia and Loona get that big talk scene when it's like the first damn time they actually spoke to each other on screen. This was baffling to me. But I have soft spot for it because I personally am writing a fic and the day I finished writing a chapter for it was the day new episode came out and it turned out that this talk scene with Loona and Octavia was almost the exact same I wrote (but between Moxxie and Octavia and that had more of a setup with them talking to one another and warming up to each other throughout the chapter). It was damn hilarious to me.
Brandon Rogers’ (the voice of Blitz) skits on his RUclips channel has more in depth writing and effort in each small vid than all of Viv’s HB series combined.
Vivziepop can’t stay off Twitter, doesn’t take criticism well, and won’t stop replying to every single negative comment she receives. She’s basically just writing what she thinks the fans would want, not actually creating an interesting and coherent world and story.
HB is just an excuse to write her tragic gay softboy romance. Wasn't this supposed to be a business? HH will be the same thing too with Alastor and Angel Dust, even though it's supposed to be about the girls. I don't trust Vivzie at all.
She can take it well and she doesn't reply to every negative comment she receives. Not true she does create an interesting and coherent world and story.
My biggest gripe is once again with Millie. That whole mafia episode could've recolved around her but NOPE. Her only character traits are still "crazy and Moxxies' wife"
Millie honestly reminds me of those cringy and edgy sans fangirls. "I'm Sans' wife and girlfriend! He is MINE And ONLY MINE. And if you try to touch him... **transforms into spoopy scary demon** *you will pay...* " is painfully accurate to how Millie behaves 99.9 % of the time
@@LunarStarlightsArt I just imagined Millie killing Chaz who is tied to a wooden board and spewing out MS paint blood similar to how fangirls kill off other fangirls upon the slightest discovery.
That coulda been some nice symmetry actually, since the episode where we visit Millies parents was so Moxie focused, it make sense to have the Moxie parent episode to focus on Millie.
I have a rule that all secondary information (even from the crew/creator) is non-canon. I’m not hunting down information about inconsistencies just because they’re too lazy or incompetent to notice it themselves. Moxxie’s birth circumstances can easily be a throw away line. Or show his family moving from Wrath to Greed in the flashback.
I’m with you on that. That material is easily missable to any new person who begins watching give or take a long enough period of time which is why it should be optional reading in the grand scheme of things. Balan wonder world as an example where It’s clear that they couldn’t fill in the holes in story when they wrote it so they had trust better writers to correct their errors.
Honestly writers were just incompotent not to add line that Moxxie was only BORN in wrath ring and that he wasn't raised there. I suspect that they inted to make it more clear in some other episode since they were hinting at Crimson returning. Maybe they wanted it to be big reveal.
Completely agree. I've always said that if I have to read every one of your tweets, watch every one of your livestreams, and spend hours perusing your fan wiki to understand even the most basic aspects of your world and story then maybe you're just really bad at storytelling. Supplemental materials can be great, but they're meant to enhance a story, they're not something I should have to *rely* to tell me key information. HB is unfortunately guilty of this more often than not, and then to make matters worse Vivziepop will get super annoyed when fans are confused by something that should have been explained in the show itself because "Hey, I mentioned it in a tweet, what more do you want?"
I know this comment is 3 months old buut yeah. This summed up my thoughts exactly. My best friend and I recently decided to give Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel a chance again, we originally didn't like it since we hated the humor and pacing. Another friend of mine was filling me in on some of these characters backstories and details, just to almost always say that was revealed in a Twitter post or something. As an amateur story writer, that's a big problem. I shouldn't have to do bloody homework to find more characterization. And they seldom tie it back to the story properly, so it doesn't even go rewarded. This should've been in the episodes and not another batch of tasteless sex joke.
I thought this show was gonna be about killing humans and the troubles that can come from breaking the rules of hell in order to get this done, but the writers seem to forget that was what the original direction the pilot AND the first episode had set up. Thats like a game giving you cool mechanics with a tutorial and then it end up being a walking simulator.
Ur comment reminds me of a game called "Who is Lila? The face control mechanic are really cool but in later they don't use it anymore(still a good game tho)
my main issue with seeing stars is like... isnt it just loo-loo land but again? like.. the same plot of stolas and octavia having issues and octavia running away and having a heartfelt moment about/with her dad at the end. also the book taking her to LA was stupid as hell its obvious she didnt mean stars as in the human lingo for famous person. she doesnt even know anything about humans why the hell was she taken there???
Also her family is all about stars and cosmos and astrology and yet she doesn't know what a night is? Or what a meteor shower is? Her damn room is decorated with moons and she has a model of solar system under her roof. How the fuck is she oblivious to such basic shit?! That episode made her a dumbass.
so that viv and her team could make a “fun and funny callback to blitz’s va’s comedy/acting career!!! 😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣” except its painfully obvious, which makes it both cringy and unfunny bc its now a canon in the actual show.
the entire plot is written and a love letter to a popular va with some “conflict and resolution” to spice it up. it serves no purpose in the actual show and wouldnt even make a difference to the shows already effed consistency if the episode were deleted.
Stella's a crappily written character but it makes me laugh how people say she's the worst, most abusive character ... while Loona throws a violent tantrum over just being asked to do her job. A job she didn't earn or anything and doesn't consist of much to do. But she's a woobie so it's okay. The writing is so inconsistent it's not funny. And the women get it the worst. The males aren't anything to write home about either since every male is a stereotype of what a fujoshi thinks bi/gay/pan men are like with the DTF anything that moves and having massive daddy issues and AAANNGST! Plus the same exact tumblr sexyman body-type and violent tendencies.
My issue isn’t that Stella’s meant to be pure evil. I like that, and I feel like thats what Viv’s going for! My issue is that shes so poorly written, that she isn’t compelling. She’s very poorly developed, and we only see her being evil a few times. No backstory, no nothing. Just “oh here she is! Shes bad! Dislike her!” Its just not interesting. As much as I want to like her as an antagonist we get nothing. I’ve talked about this with people before, Blitzø and Stolas’ relationship shouldn’t have been the main focus of “The Circus.” It should’ve been Stolas and Stella’s backstory. Not an “oh guys look they were always meant to be!” episode. In my mind, pure evil antagonists aren’t hard to do. Especially if they aren’t one-offs. Their backstory can be “yeah they were just always bad” and that can work. But it really needs proper setup! However, Viv and her writers have really dropped the ball with writing their main antagonist. I can only hope for the future with her, but its not looking good honestly. I used to be a big Viv fan, she’s the whole reason I’m doing what Im doing with my life (fine arts/graphic design major), but I’ve become disillusioned with my former hero, and the writing on Stella’s a huge reason behind that. Apologies for the essay I never really publicly give my thoughts on shit with Helluva Boss 😂
That episode was so bad toward Loona. They had her talk to Octavia about how "dads mess up but they're trying" When we've not seen Blitzo ever mess up? He gave her a home, a family, a job! Seriously what did he do wrong to her
None of the woman in this show get good development. And Viv just says "W-well because its was supposed to be male lead first!" That's no excuse, and I bet Angel and Alastor are going to get good development despite HH supposedly being "Female lead"

I don't really understand why Stolas' cheating needs to be justified. It gave him more controversy and it made total sense as it IS hell, what do you expect?
I know, right? Stella didn't have to be a good person, I do like how much of an alpha bitch she is (until they revealed she has no braincells and it's her brother who thinks ahead), like, why was she this upset about Stolas cheating on her Blitzø when she only likes tormenting him? Keeping up appearances? This is Hell, no one gives a shit, and she constantly mocks Stolas with her friends anyway. Status? Again, she doesn't care, with how she's trying to assassinate him. And... Why is she waiting till now to assassinate him anyway? The anger at the infidelity implies Stella was invested in the relationship in some capacity (if just to make her look good). So it's clear to me that they just botched her characterisation in order to make Stolitz tamer. I say this as a Stolitz Stan.
Something that really bothered me about the mafia is that it was kind of established that imps were at the bottom of the demon hierarchy and often looked over, but here's an imp controlling an entire level of hell like it's nothing.

Things felt really disjointed this season with the plot with Stolas being resolved in the blink of an eye, while many of the new characters are just making these weird decisions like Crimson did trying to marry off his son and so on. I get they’re going for an episodic storyline, but they should at least stick to one character drama at a time instead of going all over the place.
The Stolitz thing makes it feel like the series just wears drama like a cute coat to look sexy but then shifts into a "lol guys back to sexy, angsty hijinks" mode without actually addressing that the relationship is really dysfunctional. It's like it goes with which ever direction gets Viv off in that particular moment. She has 2 modes, "woobie sad angst, daddy issues" and "lol-the-lustful-bi-bois-R-hawt!"
I find it annoying that Stolas lust for Blitz took over him to the point he was sitting in a sitcom for ages just to watch him. despite him supposedly caring about his missing daughter so much Like season 1 episode 2 once he realized she was actually upset he immediately went after her, not concerning himself with Blitz.
Except it does not feel like that as Stolas was not resolved yet, they are not really weird decisions as they make sense for the characters to make those decisions. Nah multiple character drama works too and they are not going all over the place.
@@Nightman221k The Stolitz thing does not make it feel like the series just wears drama like a cute coat to look sexy but then shifts into a "lol guys back to sexy, angsty hijinks" mode without actually addressing that the relationship is really dysfunctional as it does address that and their relationship IS trying to improve. As an amateur writer who has had a few years of practice now, I feel for Vivzie. I have no clue what her history is but I'm guessing Helluva boss is her first major project that became a big hit. There's a negative to that, it's her first writing project with a wide audience. A lot of the issues I'm seeing with the show are issues I've had when I first started writing, amateur issues. Stuff that you would expect to see for someone who's new to this craft. And I understand that this is hell, but I'd appreciate if they stop using trauma as a method for character development. You don't need to have a messed up childhood in order to feel real. Furthermore, it seems obvious that her craft appeals to the creative character designs... and that's mostly it. Hell feels... boring and uninspiring. It's our world, that's it. It's a very bland interpretation of the underworld and after a full season we still have no idea how hell functions and what makes it different from Earth. Like I said, there are a lot of flaws in this shows writing and I recognize them all as issues that a new writer would experience. You learn, you get better, you practice and take advice from others who have been there. She can resolve this issue if she hires professional or experience writers, just be sure those writers share the creativity and ambition that the show desperately needs.
i agree, i do feel for her as from what i can see, this is her first major project, i just hopes she is able to improve and hopefully the fact that Hazbin Hotel has been picked up by and actual network means there are some professional experienced writers working on it too so it doesn't turn out like Helluva Boss
Bro, it's been a few hours, and ALREADY Cartoonshi and his harasser both had to private their Twitter. I hate this fandom so much, like these adults act like fucking children.
@@zenchantrelle9779I dislike that viv doesn't do anything about it, like I get it you can't control your fandom but at least address it! The vague subtweeting doesn't help either
And the S2 E4 episode seems to be the worst one currently. They destroyed whatever they built with Striker and whatever the hell was that with Stolas, Stella and her brother... The show is not just going down, it's diving in the damn pit with story quality with each episode of this season. What the hell is happening?
@@jayceallen6530You too? Honestly, I thought it was just me, but yeah, I found myself asking more than once "Are... Are they really going for what I think they are?" I couldn't tell whether the show was purposely *trying* to give me backwater Alabama vibes or if I was just reading too much into it.
Tbh, Vivziepop's animated content started to fall off after 2021. It's sad because the first season of Helluva Boss was better than the second. Her cartoons are still uniquely animated and there were some funny moments. But they're slowly starting to feel like how Pencilmation became after mid-2020.
Her stuff has always been overrated tbh. I know viv fans will call me envy but just think about it. Many people just know and like her stuff bc of her old nolstalgic works. That, mixed with wokeness and lots of gay stuff, makes getting fans and attention much easier. They're trying too hard and its cringe. Sorry not sorry.
@@minoki46 I'll somewhat agree with you that her content is nowhere near the levels of like jacknjellify, Sr Pelo and Alan Becker, since those guys have alot of talent and effort in them. But at the same time, I still enjoy her style of cartoons in my opinion.
At this point, I’ve lost all faith in Hazbin Hotel. I’ve always seen Helluva Boss as Viv’s way to improve her storytelling skills, and at this point it’s clear she also needs to work on continuity and world-building (the foundations of a decent story).
And if anyone brings up A24 producing as a saving grave, no just no. A24 are not paragons of the film industry that will guarantee good quality. If anything, I think is that they’re gonna give Vivziepop no restrictions or guidelines quality control, just like how they supported Ari Aster’s asinine ideas in Beau Is Afraid.
literally this ^ I was super excited for hazbin when the pilot hit because it seemed like interesting world building and fun characters. and helluva seemed cool too but not as much my thing, but it made sense for them to go with HB because it could be easier to handle with how they set it up. But uhhh yeah it's not going well it seems unfortunately. i wanted something like this to be good so bad, since it is a smaller team working to put out a show on youtube not backed by a network. oh well, at least it's pretty to look at ig.
@@untappedpotential2761 I wouldn't call BiA asinine, but more the lines of inaccessible to a large amount of people. It's still a good movie IMO. But I do agree that A24's lack of restrictions could fuck them in the butt if HH doesn't turn out well.
@@susankornas2613 I can't remember if Viv herself said she wanted Helluva to be more geared towards the guys, but with the insane number of fujoshis (otakus, usually female, who enjoy and consume homosexual male content often to unhealthy levels) in the fan base getting overly excited every time Blitz and Stolas are on screen, could have fooled me.
Your description of Chaz as a “worse Blitz” is just perfect. His personality and dialogue doesn’t go beyond sex, having said sex with Moxxie, and his dick. That and the other stuff about Moxxie’s orientation (this includes the dildos built into the house), just made the episode a drag to watch. I’d say the only redeeming quality of that episode is Moxxie talking up to his dad, but the sheer whiplash from constant sex humor to this made it less effective for me.
@@ravengrey9709 His dad and hoe he handles it. Using the stereotype of Bi=Gay and the dildos eveeywhere making more like Gay/Bi/Pam=Sex and nothing more.
As a huge fan of the show, I get where you're coming from and it is valid Edit:Holy shit, dude. Saw your tweets just now and I'm so sorry about the bullshit the fandom has been doing to you and others. I knew some of the fandom were shitlords, but my god. I can't believe this shit. This is utterly disgusting behavior and NOT OKAY. I understand if you never want to talk about or watch the show again after this. That's completely valid and in your right, even though, I thought your critiques were fair and honest.
I remember hearing somewhere that season 2 feels like it came from a wattpad fanfic. Pretty accurate comparison imo; complete with extremely poor pacing and flanderized characters. I love this show, but lord are the issues season 2 has GLARING... Makes me very nervous for the Striker episode.
Helluva Boss show me how to NOT fix your characters. Instead letting Blitz and Stolas facing the consequences of they action and by that becomeing better people, Vivzie decide to justified their action by giving them a sad backstories to make viewer feel bad about them and to make them look better transform Stella from angry wife who has reason for hiring assassin to kill her Husband to a total unredeemable monster. Backstory can explain character behevior but CANNOT justified them.
Funny how Viv says she loves Bojack Horseman when this kind of crap is heavily criticized there. She could be one of the people that would believe him whenever he says he is sorry and will change.
Better people? Blitz is an assassin, that's one of the reasons why he stands out as a protagonist. He's not a goody two shoes, he's a villainous assassin and that makes him stand out as a villain protagonist
Cartoonshi got harassed by HB stans for critizicing the show; they insulted him, called his opinion worthless, and used "autistic" as an insult. He got so fed up and tired, that he has stated that he'll no longer HB on his channel. And all because he gave his opinion on the lousy second season of a mid show. Seriously, as someone who is hyped for Hazbin Hotel and hopes that it'll be good, screw Helluva Boss and it's fanbase. Proof that you're what you consume.

THANK YOU! One of my biggest peeves is the way they write Stella literally doing everything to wash Stolas's sins. And Stolas being so damn young. If you are going to have a universe where out earth is a thing WITH CHRISTIAN JEWISH MYTHOLOGY at least have some consistancy. Stolas didn't need to be a child. I get it different universe but if you are going to use a real life demonology figure at least make him fucking OLD not human 35. Loona always had issue and some violance problem but never to that one episode extent. They treated what could have been a very interesting trauma response into a slapstick. I love this show but my passion for it cooled significantly. Also literally no developed female characters. No guys Millie having good childhood doesn't mean she cannot be a 3D character. I genuinely didn't care for Moxxie's mafia backstory. Hey now don't go disrespect fanfiction. Many does better job than OG ones sometimes
The Stolas being 35 stressed me out so much. As a demon, you'd think he has at least lived for centuries and have had so much knowledge about crap. It would have added to the humor to his character that he was quite bored with everything and his long marriage that only just now birthed an heir- and one fcking imp rizzed him so hard he was like #ooh and didn't even think to petrify him.
@@psychonautmaddy7409 it's when you want to complain about someone but you don't want the repercussions of it, so you make it somewhat vague about who you're talking about so that you have plausible deniability
@@psychonautmaddy7409 when someone would make tweets about the lore of their show instead of it being in the show itself. The best example I have to give to this is if you have to rely on an outside source to fill in certain plot points of a series.
S1 made me so invested in Stolas and Blitzo's relationship to the point that I literally could not care less about any of the other characters getting a major character arc, I just wanted to see those 2 characters fix their relationship, or have the relationship break apart even more and see the results and how it affected both of them. Then S2E2 came out and basically said "fuck it, all that character development and build up is gone" I probably enjoyed the cherubs episode more than S2E2/E3, so theres definetly a major problem if the writing has gone downhill THAT bad
Same. There was so much intrigue to their relationship and Season 2 brought it all down. I was purely wtf when we find out Stolas is just fcking 30 which cheapened his character. Instead of some ye centuries old Goetia demon who Blitz rolled a nat 20 on rizz alone.
@@runawayfromtoads674 and it wasn't even genuine rizz, it was all an act of pity. This whole scene is very hard to watch and icky to describe in my mind, I wouldn't call it r4pe on either side of the coin but I feel like Blitz committed some sort of sexual assault in the moment (Stolas was defenitely not all about it at first and was genuinely uncomfortable almost all the time until Blitz bit him.. which he is lucky Stolas liked because imagine if he didn't!). This show generally has a problematic relationship with sex as almost everytime it happens on screen it's because a character is trying to get something out of the other without them noticing (I guess except the throwaway line in e1s1 with the "perfect" lady in which she knew exactly she was given what she wanted because of her privelages). For a show that talks and revolves around sex so much it's almost weird we didn't get a SINGLE healthy sex scene (we almost got it with Moxxie and Millie but for some reason the show preferred to just show them sleeping as Blitz was spying on them) To be clear, I don't WANT more sex scenes (I'm a mostly sex-repulsed asexual, I couldn't care less about sex scenes), it's just an interesting observation I had
@@billcipher8645 The pity fuck bothered me so much because it felt really wrong. Sure, say they do decide Blitzo would pity fuck Stolas. But there was literally the option of Blitzo feeling bad for Stolas' loveless marriage. They didn't need to have Stolas go 'omg ive never been wanted this way and i love how its from my first true friend'. Idk, the dialogue felt forced and so, the entire Blitzo going #aightletsgetthisoverwith felt forced. Blitz could have just left. And it also really felt odd for me because Stolas is tipsy. It felt borderline predatory. Like, was it necessary to make a character drunk or tipsy to have sex? I would rather watch the quick sex scene in s1 ep1 and I'm 100% certain I cringe less. At least that sex scene was funny and consensual. Stolas was very interesting in the beginning. In the sense that it felt he was an ancient demon prince who really could have deleted Blitzo if he wanted to. And yet he didn't. So waiting for the 'why' felt interesting. Was Stolas bored for eons and felt so much excitement from the one night stand hence the book exchange? Or did Stolas possibly fall for Blitzo? The 'why' was so interesting and you anticipate their first meeting. So all that buildup really fell flat when this ancient demon prince is actually 30s, already met the guy as kids, and got pity fucked.
Viv has always been writing problems and Helluva Boss highlights all her problems not just with writing but world-building in general. I have a feeling she's not going to get better
She's going through like a lot. She's trying hard and she's getting backlash or drama. How can you make something better if you're constantly getting backlashed for making it better? Also, seems like viv is doing fan service episodes, which if it's the case, then oh boy that's not a good idea.
@@DrAngelKins Friend, if you are working on a series, you must be aware that you are going to be criticized all the time, some are going to be reasonable, others not so much. As a writer, you should take those that are reasonable and improve, not cry because they criticize you

There’s a comic that will interest you that also set in hell but with better world building and cosmology called Requiem Vampire Knight, the art are amazing but be warned every single characters are evil and depraved to the core since they set in a purgatory like realm called Resurrection where the evil they are the higher the ranks they climbed, there’s a power struggle between the Vampires led by Dracula (Vlad the Impaler not that Dracula), the Ghouls Sky Pirates (souls of peoples doing evil things but hide in their hypocrisy led by Mitra her obese body image alone will gives you nightmares) Vampires hates Ghouls because the Ghouls don’t embrace their vileness and considered justification as weak, The Dystopians (Evil money grubbing British imperialist Reptilians-Dragon like race) led by a snake queen Elizabeth I and King Ruhtra (Reverse King Arthur), the main character also bad but not as evil as the rest of Resurrection populace, well the reason he’s in resurrection because he’s a Nazi and second he’s desperately trying to find his dead lover a Jewish woman name Rebecca died in the Camp and reborn as a Lemures (Spirits of the innocent trapped in Resurrection and only way to escape is to kill their murderers), and it gots a lot of British sense of humour similar to Terry Pratchett.
@@AzraelSoulHunter Helluva boss stans are attacking him for his valid criticisms. They are sending him death threats, and being abelist toward him. Now he's not going to cover anymore of the show
What I initially loved about Stolitz _was_ how "problematic" it was, how the dynamic skewed heavily in Stolas' favour but he's too much of a privileged hedonistic ditz to notice and Blitzø felt inadequate and objectified by it, how Stolas' infidelity was apparently hurting Octavia, how Blitzø was using this relationship first and foremost for material gain to game a rigged system. It was messy, complicated, and painful, and i was looking forward to see how they handled this layered situation. But no, despite some preservation of messiness (Blitzø being a child... Slave companion? Indentured servant playmate? To Stolas, and the book seduction point), they uwuified everyone and it sucks.
Dont get me started on the world building and character designs. I love Helluva but the amount of research Lackadaisy's author goes through is amazing. I was engrossed reading her Tumblr about how they did their best to be historically accurate, save the car the characters used - and how it was off by a few months. And welp when you're done with the pilot, you can flip through the beautiful webcomic. There are things in the pilot that I wish were explained (like Atlas and the establishment of Lackadaisy) for people to better understand the show but apart from that, the pilot was truly fun.
15:38 Vivziepop: "I deal with it fine. Criticism of any kind is a constant for any creator. I just think it's funny when people call themselves writers and then don't understand basics of writing. It's funny." Wow! Just wow! Firstly, her response is proof that she's not "dealing with it just fine" and is in fact doing the exact opposite. Ash is clearly trying to be straight with her about the fact that the show will get criticized and that she needs to be able to address it and take it to heart when people have perfectly legitimate criticisms about the show. And if the latest episodes are any indication, Vivziepop is not taking them to heart at all. Secondly, the only thing that's funny is how absolutely backwards her statement is when all the writing issues in the show suggest that Vivziepop is the one lacking in understanding the basics of writing because, quite frankly, if she did understand them the show wouldn't have sll the issues that it has right now.
And what's funny is that, the Diregentlmen actually seem to have a good understanding of writing, keep in mind I am not fully acquainted with them nor am I saying that this tweet was made in correlation with her tweet on Diregentlemen.
After seeeing HezuNeutral’s review on the last episode recently, I’m really hoping they don’t go the route the they are for Millie if it’s true of the hints by the creators. For context: Helluva Boss Leak, In a future season 2 episode, Millie is tempted by a villain to kill herself because she's a "Big dumb brute and she should let her husband find someone better" AKA Millie almost kills herself for being a "bad wife" to Moxie. Viv and Adam went on an entire rant when this episode is allegedly* in the works for mid season 2.
I kind of love that the proposed episode is just using the arguments that the fandom has for why Millie's character needs work retooled to be "the evil baddies tell poor Millie 'KYS'! See what you've done to her!!!" Like, dude, you're the one who wrote her to be a background cheerleader who just acts like an accessory for Moxxie not anyone else lol.
Um, why are we even bringing up leaks about an episode we don't know much about or where it is coming into play with the story? Also, it's a leak that NEVER should have been showed
WARNING SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 4 The new episode was so ungodly painful to get through, it was tone deaf, the transitions were super rough, the humor was actually awful, and a lot of the characters did not act like themselves AT ALL, my biggest example being Loona, who was just full on acting like a dog
@@Twinklenighterstarshine the fact they made constant cuts between Loona getting a shot (funny, necessary because of health reasons, in general a positive thing) with STOLAS GETTING TORTURED AND MURDERED was just.. I have no words really. They didn't even try to make it serious
@@billcipher8645 it really took the stakes and tension out of the whole scene/situation, I literally felt like I was gonna cry when they switched the dramatic western music to that pop song all for a simple joke. @@Twinklenighterstarshine yeah I completely agree, it was just super awkward cause she’s like…what, a 24 year old woman? Idk, I understand that she didn’t have a voice actor that episode, but she could’ve literally just had her whole story off screen
The issue with every single Helluva Boss character: Blitzø: The show WANTS to redeem him but he's had like 4 wake-up calls to be a better person for those he cares about and he hasn't changed. It's good that we SEE him care in private but that's not anyone's responsibility, you don't have to put on with people who are neglectful just because they have a sob story if they're not trying to change. Moxxie & Millie: They basically don't exist apart from each other. Every time they're apart Moxxie becomes a massive klutz for Millie to save and Millie isn't given any room to grow (even the "Millie episode" with her family became a Moxxie episode). They're not characters, they're a dynamic. Loona: Not given enough time to shine and as such is a contradiction. "Well actually she does care about Blitzø because- oh never mind she kicked him in the balls". Stolas: They realized he's a fan favorite and want to have their cake and eat it. Stolas is wrong for cheating because he scarred Via and what semblance she had of normalcy (and Stolas doesn't hide that her birth was basically just a chore for him) but he is good because grrrr Stella bad (which she is but is such a shallow reason). The depth of Stolas is a telenovela romance with Blitzø that is extremely toxic. Everyone else is either a downright caricature with almost no depth as of the time I write this (may 2023) or just has almost no screentime.
I am genuinely scared for Hazbin Hotel at this point, I loved the pilot and if this really is the way the writing is going to be and if Vivziepop is really going to keep acting like this, then it’s not going to be a pleasant time for me or any other fan

I honestly cannot put into words how frustrating it gets watching this god forsaken show. Actually, at this point watching an episode of helluva boss is like watching a marvel movie: it used to be fun but now it feels like I have to just to see how downhill it’s gone.
I just realized something. Why is it when the characters blush, it’s the normal pink/light red glow, but the show makes it known multiple times that their blood is black? Why even make their blood black if you won’t commit to it???
For those who don’t know, Season 2 Episode 4 of Helluva Boss will be released tomorrow. Based on the trailers, it’s expected to be a follow up to Season 1 Episode 5, with IMP having to battle Striker to save Stolas.
Stolas is going to be fine, calling it already, there is no tension because we know Viv won't kill off the sex toy the fans that are primarily teenage girls in adult bodies use as an unhealthy coping mechanism for their raging mommy issues. Sorry, I just really fucking hate Stolas and the show converting to a soap opera to serve Stolitz as the main (and probably only) focus.
Helluva Boss devolved into Mexican Soap Opera tiers levels of melodrama focused in TWO characters, that's the biggest flaw of the series... Its so focused on making feel "the woobie" for both Blitzo and Stolas that literally throws anyone under the bus and underplays its antagonists (Like Stella and Verosika) into caricatures of assholes in order to make the pairing look less awful, while ignoring others that were supposed to be part of the main cast (coughMillieCough)
Vivzie herself isnt doing the show justice considering thar she is very egotistical with how she points out people who make criticism of the show and thinks she is in the right for most situations. It doesnt help that she admits to some situations as her fault, but does a 180 and tries to put the blame on someone else. In the case with the part 2 finale of season 1, it is clear that it is important to the whole show since it shows the reason as to why Loona is mad and beats Blitz physically in the second season when the last time we saw them they were both happy. I hope this show gets someone else directing or watching more closely at what's happening and fix the situation with the plot and characters
I'm worried about Vizzy now.... especially since another youtube creator who took criticism poorly has been recently exposed for horrible mistreatment of coworkers.....
The worst part is that a mafia and prison could've worked if it was the sinners bringing them over from the real world, like power a hungry police continuing their business in hell and a mafia staying as well, but no it's the natives who run them in a place where there are 0 sinners so it makes no sense
And why is Moxxie's father the one who controls the Greed ring? Wasn't the whole plot point of the first season is that the imps are the lowest demons in Hell's society and Blitzo have to put up with Stolas to run his bussiness? Even the entire motivation of Striker is tied to this theme.
Tbh this show doesnt even have a plot anymore which was supposed to be the imp crew doing their job as murder professionals and helping clients. Its just been a blitz x stolas fanfiction.
@@caylahsayshiyeah definitely. "Unhappy Campers" was just alright. To be honest, it didn't really do her character justice I mean it kinda did but not really but that's just my opinion. I would honestly like to see Millie and Loona interact more but we'll see.
Stolas x Blitz reminds me a lot of those anime Yaoi couples like Naruto x Sasuke, Kaneki x Hide from Tokyo Ghoul, Shizou x Izaya from Durarara and Eren x Levi from Attack on Titan. Most of them are bad, barely make any sense and a bit uncomfortable to get into. These shippers tend to make a lot of disturbing and disgusting fanfiction and fanart which leads to the two of them having sex which looks and sounds like rape as Sasuke, Izaya, Hide and Levi tends to be on the top and more dominant. Plus a lot of these shippers tend to hate female characters like Hinata, Touka and Varona for getting in the way of their “precious Yaoi”. Some Naruto fans accuse Hinata of being a Stalker with an unhealthy obsession with Naruto when both Sakura and Karin are way worse than her seeing how they lust over Sasuke whose a wanted terrorist that started World War 4. Some Tokyo Ghoul fans tends to think that Touka is abusive towards Kaneki without getting to know her at all. Plus they accused Touka of raping Kaneki in Re: Chapter 125 when Kaneki consented to sex along. Do they not know that other characters like Tsukiyama, Jason, Arima and Mitsuki have done way worse to Kaneki than Touka? I mean when Tsukiyama kidnaps Kimi and breaks Kaneki’s arm, he gets a free pass. But when Touka hits Kaneki for abandoning when she needed him the most, the fans think that she’s worse than Hitler. Some Durarara Fans think that Varona is mentally 10 years old when really she’s 20. At least Varona and Shizou had a way healthier relationship that his relationship with Izaya, a sociopath who tries to kill him every other time, breaks the law just to piss him off and tried to frame him for murder but letting Shizou kill him during the series finale. At least Varona was mature enough to kill Izaya so she could take the blame for Shizou since he just got out of the slammer for a crime he did not commit. About Eren x Levi. That’s basically pedophila since Eren was 15 and Levi was 30 during the start of the series. God I hope that my favorite anime such as Chainsaw Man, Spy X Family, Hell’s Paradise and Zom 100 Bucket List of the Dead doesn’t have a lot of toxic and unhealthy Yaoi couples that these shows have.
I sure hope Hazbin Hotel will be better than this show…… The idea of a young demon in Hell wanting her citizens to become happier and better people has a lot of fucking potential and I will be pissed if they screw it up.
the problem with hellaverse and vivziepop's writing in general is that there's not much explanation to the setting and a lot of the times it just doesn't make sense at all and feels cheap (with how hell is just another Earth world painted in red colors). another issue is the inconsistensy, it just feels like the author has an idea and instead of thinking of how it fits into the story and its universe, they just slap it there with laughable attempts to connect it to the story (very obvious with blitz and stolas' childhood arc since it goes absolutely nowhere). and to top it all off we have one-dimensional antagonists who are evil just bc they are, no explanation no depth, just for the viewers to have someone to blame everything on (stella and adam)
@@Dr.Oofers He was not. It does count as it was still defying his dad but of course he will not beat him yet, they are setting up a major fight between them and him being tased did not ruin anything.
I wish there was a way for me to watch Helluva Boss WITHOUT directly supporting Viv's channel. Because I'mma be real... I don't like it. I only watch it to find the numerous gapping plot holes which are near neverending at this point. Also, Viv can fuck right off with letting her fans harass you for criticizing Helluva Boss. Not ONCE has she EVER called out her fans for their shitty behavior towards people that criticize her shows. Cartoonshi was sent death threats because of this very video. What does Viv do? NOTHING. She could care less! she's a bully, point-blank! Also, Helluva Boss was recently revealed to have four seasons which is hilarious when you consider that the views for Helluva Boss continue to tank with each new episode that comes out.
I’m glad someone spoke up about my problems with the new season. There’s tons of highs and tons and lows. Very inconsistent, but when it hits, it hits I suppose. I’ve been really enjoying your commentary recently, keep it up man!
So i want to say this, but there was a youtuber name miss zi-zi who did a video on viv's art, critizising on her coloring, anatomy, and consisticing ( forget spelling ) and apparently after that video, the toxic fans went after her and the comments are just gosh awful. Every artist is gonna flaws, no one is perfect ( this was during the time when hazbin hotel was being produced )
We must all admit that - viz is just bad writer, and all helluva boss episodes so far look more like fanfiction to pilot episode. Major plot wich they show us in pilot episode disappear, and show is way more focused on romances or showing new characters/villains that's never come back, ignoring all that what happen in previous episodes.
i...don't understand why tVizzy didn't just say "Oh, he IS from Greed but since he hates his father he lies to anyone and says he is from Wrath". there, believable, simple and not BS. Also, for Stella, i THINK Vizzy is trying to paint it as if the problem isn't that Stolas is cheating, it's that he is cheating with an IMP. Stella has been shown to be a massive egocentric so the idea that her husband is finding happiness with someone so inferior to her, means that she HERSELF is lower than an Imp. I'm guessing that if Stolas cheated with another noble she would be pissed (for the gossip) but she wouldn't have hired an assassin
My main complaint with the show is that there are so many characters left in the dust for the sake of giving Blitzo and Stolas more screen time. My best example is Seeing Stars. It seemed like the episode was gonna center around Octavia and her adventure through L.A. Then they said, "y'know what? We don't care if Octavia is a neglected character. Here's a painfully cringy bit about Brandon Roger's and a bit of shoehorned backstory for Loona."
Honestly, haven’t even started with S2 yet. I know it’s an independent production, and as such, it’s going to be a very shaky process at times, I just can’t keep going with a show where they skip the season finale to continue the show, especially for a story-driven show like this.
@@talkingfez1265 Basically. S1E8 has been "finished" for ages.. but it cannot be posted because of those legal issues unless they are resolved or they rework the episode (which would go beyond just whatever scene is the problem and to the scenes around and leading to it) they cannot actually release it.
I still enjoy Helluva Boss but I am getting really worried with the Shows Habit of constantly introducing new Antagonists, like slow down the Pace a little bit. On the bright Side, Vivziepop herself has stated that she is disatisfied with Millies Characterization and that she will get her own Episode this Season ( which should have already happend ) Edit: Okay, right after i wrote the Sentence about Millie I got to the Part of the Video where he mentions those exact Tweets, this is scary
Finally someone who sees this the way I do. I really want this show to be good but the issue is everything feels extremely forced. Its not too late to save it, but at the rate its going I’m honestly concerned.
I think this is what they should have done with Stella. Make her pressured by her parents to be perfect when getting in an arranged marriage with Stolas even though they both dont like eachother. Stella doesn't give the love Stolas craves leading to the arrangement with Blitz and since shes less important than Stolas she'll get the blame leading her wanting to kill Stolas. Shes still an antagonist but people can sympathise with her and see where she's coming from.
So regarding missing s1 e8, Vivzie has this tidbit to share about… “telling” viewers and critics how to judge the episode… that was suppose to be a “Part 2” to the Ozzie episode… “Just a reminder 8 is very much spectacle.✨It was meant to be a big visual BANG with a simple story as a direct follow up to another episode. I REALLY hope everyone likes it but at this point that really is what it is. Be mindful of expectations, please❤️” …You mean expectations about your inability to write proper resolutions to conflict arcs you started, on your main ship that you’re suppose to sell to us why we should care about a pair of toxic people that are corrosive to each other?

She’s kinda baiting people with the allure of the female sex for those promotional videos,

You just took the words out of my mouth.
She's overly ambitious to sum up your words

Makes you wonder why Moxxie chose this job or a least didn’t discuss this with Millie or something Idk
also with the trauma of having to kill people as a child, it makes the plot of moxxie learning to toughen up to kill uh..... a little worse in a way?
Another weird thing is that "Oh Millie" shows that Moxxie is attracted to Millie because she's such an effective killer, when the rest of the show demonstrates that he's against wanton killing.
Then again, Moxxie's personality was a bit different in the pilot, so maybe we should take "Oh Millie" with a grain of salt.

thank you! i felt this way about stella in s2ep1. it felt like they were building up to a plot where stolas and blitz would actually receive consequences for .... you know, cheating? no one was expecting stella to be nice, she isn't, but most people understood that she's at least somewhat justified in her actions. but then it felt like the writers turned around and went "actually, she was a bitch this whole time! so therefore stolas and blitz sleeping together is justified!". it just felt like a HUGE cop-out for what could otherwise be an incredibly nuanced storyline
@@EvolverForU
Is it cheating?

Thats like a game giving you cool mechanics with a tutorial and then it end up being a walking simulator.

also the book taking her to LA was stupid as hell its obvious she didnt mean stars as in the human lingo for famous person. she doesnt even know anything about humans why the hell was she taken there???
Also her family is all about stars and cosmos and astrology and yet she doesn't know what a night is? Or what a meteor shower is? Her damn room is decorated with moons and she has a model of solar system under her roof. How the fuck is she oblivious to such basic shit?! That episode made her a dumbass.
so that viv and her team could make a “fun and funny callback to blitz’s va’s comedy/acting career!!! 😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣” except its painfully obvious, which makes it both cringy and unfunny bc its now a canon in the actual show.
the entire plot is written and a love letter to a popular va with some “conflict and resolution” to spice it up. it serves no purpose in the actual show and wouldnt even make a difference to the shows already effed consistency if the episode were deleted.
i agree- that episode i entirely tune out and dont even accept it because it feels so insanely out there
Stella's a crappily written character but it makes me laugh how people say she's the worst, most abusive character ... while Loona throws a violent tantrum over just being asked to do her job.

I don't really understand why Stolas' cheating needs to be justified. It gave him more controversy and it made total sense as it IS hell, what do you expect?
And it made it more compelling when he actually began to realize his mistakes and wanted to build his relationship with Blitz.
I say this as a Stolitz Stan.
well, being in hell is not a requirement for cheating.
Vivzy just needs to stay off twitter. Her excuses are just embarrassing.
She can't handle any form of criticism, either. She acts like a fool when someone says anything remotely negative about her show.

Resolution? What resolution? The plot with Stolas is still going!
I find it annoying that Stolas lust for Blitz took over him to the point he was sitting in a sitcom for ages just to watch him. despite him supposedly caring about his missing daughter so much
Like season 1 episode 2 once he realized she was actually upset he immediately went after her, not concerning himself with Blitz.

For a show that talks and revolves around sex so much it's almost weird we didn't get a SINGLE healthy sex scene (we almost got it with Moxxie and Millie but for some reason the show preferred to just show them sleeping as Blitz was spying on them)
To be clear, I don't WANT more sex scenes (I'm a mostly sex-repulsed asexual, I couldn't care less about sex scenes), it's just an interesting observation I had
@@billcipher8645 The pity fuck bothered me so much because it felt really wrong. Sure, say they do decide Blitzo would pity fuck Stolas. But there was literally the option of Blitzo feeling bad for Stolas' loveless marriage.

Vivzie just simping hard for Blitzo and Stolas
That’s the show.
Ugh
Watch the superior Lackadaisy instead. It doesn’t rely on crude jokes, gives scenes time to breathe, and is just more gorgeously animated.
Not to mention, the characters in Lackadaisy are a million times more likable than most of the ones in HB, in my opinion at least.

Vivziepop: "I deal with it fine. Criticism of any kind is a constant for any creator. I just think it's funny when people call themselves writers and then don't understand basics of writing. It's funny."
Wow!
For context:
Helluva Boss Leak,
In a future season 2 episode, Millie is tempted by a villain to kill herself because she's a "Big dumb brute and she should let her husband find someone better"
AKA Millie almost kills herself for being a "bad wife" to Moxie.
Yikes.
"There are no bad characters just bad writing"
Millie is never gonna be saved
Um, why are we even bringing up leaks about an episode we don't know much about or where it is coming into play with the story? Also, it's a leak that NEVER should have been showed
Knuckles: oh no
WARNING SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 4
The new episode was so ungodly painful to get through, it was tone deaf, the transitions were super rough, the humor was actually awful, and a lot of the characters did not act like themselves AT ALL, my biggest example being Loona, who was just full on acting like a dog
The entire scene of Loona getting a shot was unnecessary. It should’ve been done off screen.
It made it impossible to take the important M&M's v Striker fight seriously when they prioritized the "funny" shot scene.
The voice actress for Loona is on break because her boyfriend passed
@@Twinklenighterstarshine yeah I completely agree, it was just super awkward cause she’s like…what, a 24 year old woman? Idk, I understand that she didn’t have a voice actor that episode, but she could’ve literally just had her whole story off screen
The issue with every single Helluva Boss character:
Blitzø: The show WANTS to redeem him but he's had like 4 wake-up calls to be a better person for those he cares about and he hasn't changed.
Helluva Boss is on the same downhill spire that RWBY is on now.
I am genuinely scared for Hazbin Hotel at this point, I loved the pilot and if this really is the way the writing is going to be and if Vivziepop is really going to keep acting like this, then it’s not going to be a pleasant time for me or any other fan
I feel like that hazbin hotel will have more consistent writing since viv was writing hazbin for more than 10 years while viv wrote helluva along the way

Actually, at this point watching an episode of helluva boss is like watching a marvel movie: it used to be fun but now it feels like I have to just to see how downhill it’s gone.
The only reason I liked Helluva Boss was the human assassination business and they messed it up already
I just realized something. Why is it when the characters blush, it’s the normal pink/light red glow, but the show makes it known multiple times that their blood is black?
Why even make their blood black if you won’t commit to it???
Finally someone noticed it!
For those who don’t know, Season 2 Episode 4 of Helluva Boss will be released tomorrow. Based on the trailers, it’s expected to be a follow up to Season 1 Episode 5, with IMP having to battle Striker to save Stolas.

And why is Moxxie's father the one who controls the Greed ring? Wasn't the whole plot point of the first season is that the imps are the lowest demons in Hell's society and Blitzo have to put up with Stolas to run his bussiness? Even the entire motivation of Striker is tied to this theme.

UwU gay couple with the depth of fanfiction is EXACTLY my thoughts on Stolas and Blitz but I hadn’t figured out how to express that until now
Tbh this show doesnt even have a plot anymore which was supposed to be the imp crew doing their job as murder professionals and helping clients. Its just been a blitz x stolas fanfiction.
I agree and tbh, I'm getting a bit tired of everything blitz x stolas. I'd much rather see more episodes of other characters like, oh idk... MILLIE??
You do not want to know how upset I was when Moxxie got wasted after all that build-up to stepping up to his father.
Moxxie was not really wasted
@@Jdudec367 He was. He didn’t get a single W (standing up to his dad doesn’t count because it was immediately ruined by him being tased).

Also, Helluva Boss was recently revealed to have four seasons which is hilarious when you consider that the views for Helluva Boss continue to tank with each new episode that comes out.
from what I've heard issues like this has been a problem with her LONG before she made the show
I’m glad someone spoke up about my problems with the new season.
With how Cartoonshi got harassed, I'm sad to see this still happening :(
We must all admit that - viz is just bad writer, and all helluva boss episodes so far look more like fanfiction to pilot episode.
I'm still so mad about that I wanted Octavia and Loona to get the character development they deserve and they just threw that out the window.
Honestly, haven’t even started with S2 yet. I know it’s an independent production, and as such, it’s going to be a very shaky process at times, I just can’t keep going with a show where they skip the season finale to continue the show, especially for a story-driven show like this.
Let's hope A24 can put Viz and her team under control
They had trouble with putting the episode up because of legal issues.
@@talkingfez1265 Basically.
So regarding missing s1 e8, Vivzie has this tidbit to share about… “telling” viewers and critics how to judge the episode… that was suppose to be a “Part 2” to the Ozzie episode…
