Oh my goodness gracious Michelle - you are just so inspiring! Seeing you balance everything - work, blood sugars, food, making RUclips content, and SO much more, whilst just casually creating a human life!!!!! You are so incredible!!!! I'm so glad you guys have come out of lockdown there and are finally getting a little breath of normal life- I really think it makes all the difference and am glad you're able to have that before giving birth. I'm just so impressed with how you're managing everything and truly am over here taking notes for one day when I hope to be a Mama!! ❤️❤️❤️
As a 22 year old with type 1 and someone who wants kids, you encourage me so much!!! Thanks for sharing your journey 🥰🥰 I hope baby girl comes out happy and healthy
You are doing such a great job sharing your journey in your unique style. I am sure this is so inspiring and encouraging for many type 1 women out there! Wishing you and your family all the best Michelle!
You look amazing Michelle. I have 2 kids, 39 & 36 yrs old, long before com's were a thing. I well remember the insulin resistance of 3rd trimester! I also loved the amazing way I felt in those months! All the best for the delivery and early days as a mom, challenging but amazing! Thanks for sharing your journey. My first pregnancy was 1 yr post t1d diagnosis so there a few learning issues....both kids are still diabetes free, but areveryunderstanding and knowledgeable about the challenges.
Hi Michelle. I’ve been watching your videos from the beginning. I had tears in my eyes when you gave us a quick glimpse of baby girl outline. You and Raffi will be amazing parents. She chose the right Mommy and Daddy. This will all be worth it! 💙💙
Aww thank you Sydney! That means so much to me ❤️. We are so excited to welcome our little girl soon 🥰. Also, thank you for watching my videos for all these years!!
Good catch with the car seat in the background! We are trying to make sure we are prepared in case she makes an early appearance 😂. Thank you so much - so far mat leave has been wonderful! ❤️
Watching this just eases my mind so much more about eventually trying to start a family with T1D - thanks so much Michelle for sharing your pregnancy journey with us! You’re doing amazing and you absolutely should be proud of how well you’re handling it! You’re amazing! 👏🏻
Thank you Carlie! And you are so welcome :). I'm happy that my experience has made you feel better about trying to start a family one day. I used to be super nervous about it as well ❤️
Another great video, looks like you have everything under control! You are so well organized and prepared! Enjoy your Mat leave and the next month before your baby arrives!
Hi Michelle. What a wonderful time in your life. Although I loved being pregnant, I have to admit that I was always glad to hit the last trimester and that very soon I would get to meet my new baby. It was such an amazing time! The best is yet to be!
So happy for you Michelle. You can be so very proud of yourself you’ve done so well. Soon you and your hubby will meet this little girl and fall completely in love. Enjoy your time before baby. 😉🥰
Michelle you look so amazing!!! Coming out of lockdown before giving birth must be a huge sigh of relief. You are doing an awesome job mama of taking care of yourself and the baby 💓 On another note I started the Tandem with Control IQ on May 12th and from from April to now my A1C has gone from 9.2 to 6.6. Thank-you again for helping me to come to and informed decision as to which pump to choose. 😁
Thank you Lindsey! Yes, it is so nice to see everything getting better in the city and things reopening 💖. That is super exciting that Control IQ has helped so much, but I'm sure a lot of that is from your hard work as well. Way to go!! ❤️
Hi Michelle, I am glad you can get Maternity Leave in Canada. In the US most American will get 2 weeks unpaid buy the government if lucky after birth. I am glad you are doing well.
I am so happy to hear everything is going well with your baby girl ❤️ I’m jealous of your tight control! I’m also type 1 and just had my baby girl (second baby) last June (yay Covid) and have spent my mat leave pretty much in lockdown (here in Sudbury). Wishing you the best of luck in your last month of pregnancy and for delivery! Can’t wait to see her ❤️
Aww thank you❤️! The control is not always as tight as what you see in this vlog, but I'm doing my best 😊! Oh my goodness, I really feel for you having your whole mat leave in lockdown 😣. I can't imagine how hard that must have been with a new baby! I hope you are able to get out now!
@@MichelleLord My COVID related anxiety is something I still need to deal with! Getting there though. I am getting my second Pfizer shot tomorrow, so I’m hoping that helps me feel calmer after! Crossing my fingers 😊
Hi Michelle ! Happy to see everything is going well during your last trimester - you are killing it ;) I just had a question regarding the t-slim settings. How do you change the target to 7.8 in your graph ? I’m in the middle of my second trimester and still can’t figure it out how to do it... I understand if you don’t have time to answer ! I wish you a nice and relaxing end of pregnancy ☺️ Thank you !
PS the inn you went to for your get away looks lovely. Are you sharing the name? It looks like most of our travel will be in Ontario this summer and it’s fun to discover new places. We spent the first whole day out of lockdown on a beach on Lake Erie.
Im 20 weeks pregnant, I was diagnosed at 6 weeks into this pregnancy with t1d. The struggle is real, I'm glad to see you still eat ice cream and other things. Any suggestions for me when I try to treat myself with ice cream?
Congrats💖!!! I can't imagine receiving a T1D diagnosis during pregnancy. You are tough!! My trick for eating ice cream is to go for a walk after and just monitor my blood sugar super closely. If I notice it's going up, I keep walking lol.
Do you have an updated fav diabetes supplies or what you keep with you in your purse? Do you put anything on your old sites? Like coconut oil? My daughter has had type 1 for 10yrs and I worry about scar tissue
I just did a "what's in my purse" video for when I visit the OB, but I didn't really go into diabetes supplies too much. It honestly hasn't changed over the past couple years. I don't have a solution for old site scars :(. What helped me the most was switching to a different type of site - I use the autosoft 90 for the t:slim. For some reason that one doesn't cause scarring for me!
Congrats, glad you are doing well! Is it common in Canada to induce before 40 weeks in case of t1d? It is in many European countries, usually around 38-39 weeks, or even 37 if the baby really is on the larger side. (No judgement or anything intended! Just curious about policies and protocols in other parts of the world).
I’m in the US. I’m curious about the differences in maternity leave with pregnancy. Is it normal to go on maternity leave before you have the baby? That would be amazing as those last weeks are so hard to continue as normal. How much time will you have off with the baby?
Hi! Canada is quite different from the US, from what I understand. So I technically just took all my vacation days for 2021 first (I had been saving them up), then I officially start my maternity leave days in July. I will be off for a total of around 1 year, but not receiving full pay of course.
I'm being induced at 38 weeks and that's about all I know haha, but hopefully I will find out more soon and have time to go into more detail in a video before the baby gets here. And no, the baby won't be on this channel :(. Neither my husband or I feel comfortable with it.
@@MichelleLord our kids barely misses any school which has been nice. Last March was so hard with the few weeks off at the beginning. I’m glad they found a way to make it work. Our kids school never had an exposure either.
To be completely honest, this is a pretty sensitive question to be asking someone who is 34 weeks pregnant with T1D, and something that you could have easily Googled yourself in less than 1 min.... but here are the statistics: www.webmd.com/diabetes/diabetes-type-1-genetics
Bonjour Micheel. Je suis très content pour toi, je t'adore, je voudrais savoir les chiffres de hémoglobine chez toi il est combien. Merci beaucoup.😗😗😗😗😇😇😇😇😇
its so annoying to hear you say 7.7 is a spike.. like i really dont get it. That's a really good number either way and its still on the way down because of ur insulin on board.
I agree, it's super annoying! I would be annoyed too lol, but this is T1D pregnancy. You are right, it is 100% not a spike... but the ranges are different for pregnancy. Also, I was up in the 8's prior to filming that clip and the target range for pregnancy is 3.8 - 7.8 mmol/L. If you go back and watch my vlogs pre-pregnancy, you will see more reasonable blood sugar values. It wasn't my intention to make anyone feel bad, so I apologize. This is why I'm very hesitant to show any blood sugar values in my vlogs. I will be careful of this in the future.

Does vomiting during pregnancy is due to low sugar or high sugar?
