Think the technology is getting a little ahead of itself without proving much long term durability. The cost of these trucks keep going up while the engines are getting smaller and more complex without any cuts in pricing. The ability to service your own vehicle is getting more difficult and parts are less accessible or of lower quality. The vehicles look nice, but I can't justify the price for what you get. I generally would give it a few years before considering buying one at a lower price if at all.
@calebmelton5989 Well, I got an 07 Yukon Denali and had to buy a used rear wiper motor recently because they no longer make them (oem and aftermarket). Can't imagine the trouble finding and replacing some of these specialized touch screens (new escalade) or electronic parts when they fail years later. Love Ram trucks. If and when I need to get a new truck I will stick with Ram, but I’m eyeing the Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter because it has that off road look that I like. Even though the Hemi V8 is gone, twin turbo V6 standard is pretty powerful compared to the current V8. I wouldn’t need the high output, not a gas saver because of having to use a higher octane. Still a awesome truck
Beautiful truck, awesome interior. If I had the money I’d consider it along side a sierra Denali ultimate but maybe in a few years when we know about any gremlins in that hurricane engine.
Dodge also had a 1978 Midnight Express in 1978 that was obviously Black in color with the same twin exhaust pipes as the Little Red Express. I remember seeing a few on the road and in pictures.
I feel like Ram did a lot of things right on this redesign (new engine, interior, etc.), but one major thing wrong. The new trucks look very much like the old trucks.
Because of what new trucks cost now, I'm most likely keeping my 2017 Ram1500 until I die. I've had zero problems with my 5.7L hemi that gets 22 MPGs on the highway.

I’ve owned 3 Rams. 2011, 2016 and a 2019. All three leaked water in from the rear brake light and all 3 the black pillar decals had to be replaced. Have they fixed the issues with the rear brake light leaking into the interior?
I have a 2017, it was never the rear brake light leaking, its actually the rear cabin vents, the gaskets are cheap and degrade over time, allowing water to flow behind and into the truck, parts are cheap but have to remove the entire back seat to replace
@@youngblood23rb the 3rd brake light gasket was very much a issue for leaks. I’ve had 2012 & 2014 1500’s and still have a 2015 2500 and I had to replace the 3rd brake light gaskets on all 3 to fix leaking into the cab. I never touched the vents on any of them.

To tell how accurately you are centered in your lane look at the lane markers in both side view mirrors. If the mirrors show the markers are equal distance from your vehicle you are centered.
Trucks didn't have to meet as strict emissions regulations as cars did so it's 360 produced more power than the 360 in say, a Dodge Aspen R/T or Chrysler Cordoba.
Frankly I like the style of the 2025 Ram T Tungsten Is it's very muted no excessive Chrome and I like the wheel flares the size of the wheels and the paint color and the power and the quietness are definitely very upscale
First off, welcome to Michigan sir! As a Ram owner I would like to say, as much as I like the truck I don’t like hearing the price and the fact that it still isn’t loaded to the top for that amount of money.
I'm so glad that Ram doesn't overdo the chrome on the front like those other guys, my opinion of course. To me, the Ram truck looks like a truck and not a novelty. Good job, Ram!
Have to admit, although I am a v8 man, I believe Toyota and Nissan made it abundantly clear, the turbo straight six is the closest thing to a perfect engine. Really wish GM would have done it in their previous Trailblazer SS.
You guys should have a “cruise off”. Compare each manufactures autonomous cruise system through a series of tests establishing which one is the best at recognizing hazards, least hands on needed, best while towing, etc.
The wife and I ordered a 2025 1500 Limited and we got to test drive a Grand Wagoneer with the HO engine since the new 1500's hadn't hit the lots yet. It's super smooth and has a LOT of power. The dealer said our new truck will do about 4.7 from 0-60. Not too bad and almost as quick as my Challenger...almost. :)
The vented seats in our 2021 Ram Limited are absurdly loud in both the front and rear seats. Many have compared it to static when on an empty channel. Also, the 2 speakers on the roof are great until you have someone in the middle seat. For some reason, the speakers right by both of your ears gives you a really bad headache. The most annoying thing about the truck is the lack of physical buttons for heated/vented seats in the front. The truck is only 3 years old and the leather on the front dash is peeling up. Door handles feel like super cheap plastic on the inside.
The last thing I want is hands-free driving. My friend had a Cadillac with the Super-Cruise and he was involved in a minor accident. He said, "Never Again"! I like the styling and I especially like the Sea Salt color leather interior.
True, you shouldn't be driving if you need that 'hands free' feature. Higher chance you'll get yourself into a bad situation. People need to focus on driving when driving.
@HAHA.GoodMeme Toyota rolls out newer technology slowly to reduce complications. Other manufacturers should follow Toyota by focusing on quality and reliability first then following it up with affordability.
My neighbor is a driving instructor, he taught me all the important things for free one day and taught me things that he likes to do himself driving. He says it is good to be closer to the yellow line than the white line. Dont let people push you around, show confidence, hug the yellow line if you want to. Hugging the white line shows insecurity and people find it anoyong because its showing that you want everyone to pass you when if your doing the speed limit noones has to or should pass you if they dont want to. Its not your road, you dont get to choose when somone passes you.

There are good reasons why other companies don’t have air suspension and it has a lot to do with normal truck buyers using their trucks in conditions where air just doesn’t stand up.
I don't think Ram even produces crank windows anymore and hasn't in years. We have a few Tradesmans at work and they're all power windows. I think they went away when the 4th gens came out.
That's a used first or second Gen. Yes, that's what I want. No electrical junk. Nothing on that new truck will be working in 20 years. It will be scrap while the 2nd Gen lives on.
Beautiful truck. They refreshed it very gracefully. Im still having a hard time with the Hurricane COMPLETELY replacing the Hemi. I wish they wouldve eased the public into it by offering both this and the HEMI, for a while anyway. Im having a hard time getting behind the I6. Sure its more powerful and supposedly more efficient. 1-2 mpg isnt enough of a jump for me to consider this engine THAT more efficient. Ram claims the Hemi was going to start having trouble meeting newer emissions regulations, but we all know that if they wanted to get the HEMI up to snuff, they could have, they were just lazy and chose not to.
The hands free thing is RIDICULOUS! Talk about falling asleep at the wheel not to mention when it malfunctions! I would crawl in the back seat and drink a 6 pack while the thing drives me to the casino!
If system requires you to drive at or below speed limit you'll just plain get run over especially on highways around Detroit or any Michigan freeway. I'm originally from south central Michigan

Biggest complaint of my grand Wagoneer (other than the 7 times it’s been to the dealer for repairs) is the tire noise coming through. I have a 23 series 3 obsidian and on blacktop it’s perfect super quiet but on concrete roads it’s very intrusive. As stated in this video, the expansion joints are heard but worse, felt clearly in the cabin - not something I’m particularly happy about after writing a check (after a decent dealer discount) for $105k
Are you hearing about the issues with the RAM's? The wiring harness is too short according to the assembly line workers causing electronic gremlins when the trucks get run hard on rough terrain.
If you tried it, you’d probably get it. It’s very useful on a road trip, just lightly keep your hand on the wheel (for safety), let it do its thing. Reduces stress on long trip. It’s something you have to try.
I can definitely here when you're driving over expansion joints. And you're right, for 90,000 it should be a lot quieter. It's definitely not worth that price but i still prefer ram for riding with family vs the f250 at least. I think the f150 wasn't so bad. I drive both constantly. Still haven't driving a Chevy.
The Hemi is a strong motor and great in massive wind storms. The Pentastar sucks in wind and holding cruise going up & down hills. I wonder on the Hurricane is going to handle wind and cruise.
@@pathunter7003 I drove the Ram with the V-6 and she didn't maintain speed using cruise control on a 6% grade nor in high winds. The Hemi never had any problems in either situation. This is why I'm curious about the Hurricane.

Even though the Hemi V8 is gone, twin turbo V6 standard is pretty powerful compared to the current V8. I wouldn’t need the high output, not a gas saver because of having to use a higher octane. Still a awesome truck
wow, it's like they read my mind... I need a truck with MORE sensors.
Beautiful truck, awesome interior. If I had the money I’d consider it along side a sierra Denali ultimate but maybe in a few years when we know about any gremlins in that hurricane engine.
🔥Thanks Andre and Ian..Love the Morning Coffee Entertainment 😁..Have GOOD Week Ahead everyone ✌️
Thank you for the kind words.
That’s because it is the same truck, 2025 is just a refresh model year
Because of what new trucks cost now, I'm most likely keeping my 2017 Ram1500 until I die. I've had zero problems with my 5.7L hemi that gets 22 MPGs on the highway.
Take care with oil change, avoiding doing Iddle with it: Hemi have a big design camshaft lubrification flawn (I know by experience 😢) Around 200k kilometers and you may have Hemi tick (with fuel consumption raising year by year).
I had two Ram's a 2010 and 2014 and neither had any leaks anywhere... however my 14 did have the issue with the pillar decals crinkling.
From my experience every brand of truck has small stuff like that happen. Buddy has a 2013 f 150 starting to fall apart electronically.
@@SoonerMikeD Just explaining my experience, did you remove your back seat and test the vents to see if they are water tight? If so I am glad you got lucky
To tell how accurately you are centered in your lane look at the lane markers in both side view mirrors. If the mirrors show the markers are equal distance from your vehicle you are centered.
The little red express truck was the fastest vehicle you could buy, even faster than a corvette.
Hahahahaha
Trucks didn't have to meet as strict emissions regulations as cars did so it's 360 produced more power than the 360 in say, a Dodge Aspen R/T or Chrysler Cordoba.

First off, welcome to Michigan sir! As a Ram owner I would like to say, as much as I like the truck I don’t like hearing the price and the fact that it still isn’t loaded to the top for that amount of money.
Great job Andre!!!
I love the 78 lil red express. For me that was the cats meow. I also like the small yellow one. It looks cool.
Time to get some rec dank Andre
I'm so glad that Ram doesn't overdo the chrome on the front like those other guys, my opinion of course.
To me, the Ram truck looks like a truck and not a novelty. Good job, Ram!
Have to admit, although I am a v8 man, I believe Toyota and Nissan made it abundantly clear, the turbo straight six is the closest thing to a perfect engine. Really wish GM would have done it in their previous Trailblazer SS.
Gm had rumbles about a straight 6 gasser. I think they canned it for a smaller turbo v8.
You guys should have a “cruise off”. Compare each manufactures autonomous cruise system through a series of tests establishing which one is the best at recognizing hazards, least hands on needed, best while towing, etc.
Just what america needs a $90K hands free self driving mopar P/U.
That silver reflection off of the red PW 😊
Looks like the new truck that comes out tomorrow 🤠
Over $90,000! Seriously? You can fit 6 lawyers or doctors in that truck!
I actually think the RAM RHO stands for "Ram Hemi Omitted"
0 issues with Toyota's system. very safe. And it's only supposed to be a driver aid anyway. Not a replacement for not paying attention.
It's safe and perfectly fine if your smart but it's dangerous if your stupid so guess what.

I can drive hands free too… with my knees
Andre i really enjoy your positive outlook on life. The TFL Team rocks
Why do we need hands free driving?
So people can watch their favorite RUclips videos while driving 80 MPH of course!🤔😏😳
25:12 That was a good sounding door thud! Not G-Wagon level but still sounds solid. Really excited for the RamCharger
Looks great
It's nice to see my neighborhood in the video. Btw on 94 there are always a bunch of deer hanging around lol
I don’t understand active cruse control. Why would you pay all that money and not drive your car/ truck? If I’m not in control or driving, I would buy the cheapest crap can I could get.
Give it some time. It’s very useful especially in heavy traffic that moves briskly. It also REALLY helps with gas mileage!
@@ronnestman4696interesting - does it help with fuel economy more than typical cruise control in your experience? I suppose that would make sense since it is reading the traffic pattern
For people who drive 3-5 hours at a clip, not having to actively drive can be a big help and reduce stress.
It’s very nice in stop and go traffic and on long trips.
I agree driving gives you something to do. I’d be bored to death….
Love the truck BUT NOT THE PRICE and FOR THAT PRICE needs to be a helluva lot more quiet!!
Still not sold on turbos either
Would also like it to be a lil more off road friendly
I’m not saying I’m going rock climbing in a 90 k truck but would like to at least be able to take it out Whn hunting or working in the trails
There are good reasons why other companies don’t have air suspension and it has a lot to do with normal truck buyers using their trucks in conditions where air just doesn’t stand up.
Yeah, air suspension doesn't stand up, huh? Especially on semi trucks, right?? 😂😂 good reason you got there
I'll wait for the Ram Utilitarian Edition, where power windows and bumpers are optional
Less people buy stripper models than they do the fully loaded ones. Most people buy what's in the middle which is why the dealerships stock them.
I don't think Ram even produces crank windows anymore and hasn't in years. We have a few Tradesmans at work and they're all power windows. I think they went away when the 4th gens came out.
Warlock sounds like a good fit for you
That's a used first or second Gen. Yes, that's what I want. No electrical junk. Nothing on that new truck will be working in 20 years. It will be scrap while the 2nd Gen lives on.
I will wait for the model with steering wheel, brake and gas and open cab. That's all we need. 😂
Or maybe they did try and it couldn’t meet epa specs
I love the new styling. I also wish I could afford it.
The hands free thing is RIDICULOUS! Talk about falling asleep at the wheel not to mention when it malfunctions! I would crawl in the back seat and drink a 6 pack while the thing drives me to the casino!
It alerts you after about 10 seconds that you're not paying attention. 😂
@@Jcruzer70 It is RIDICULOUS!

For whom willing to buy/prefer the V8 Hemi: Hemi have a big camshaft lubrification design flawn (I know by experience 😢). So, around 200k kilometers Hemi tick start to occurr with fuel consumption raising year by year…
Had 2 over that milage.. never an issue. There is 3 different hemi ticks.. only 1 has the camshaft issue. I had 1 that had the tick for over 80k kilometers, sold it and is still going on same engine.. the actual camshaft issue is so small it shouldn't even be a concern. The problems with Ford/ Chev 10 speeds trannys are way more of an issue..
They didn’t change enough and way overpriced
Biggest complaint of my grand Wagoneer (other than the 7 times it’s been to the dealer for repairs) is the tire noise coming through. I have a 23 series 3 obsidian and on blacktop it’s perfect super quiet but on concrete roads it’s very intrusive. As stated in this video, the expansion joints are heard but worse, felt clearly in the cabin - not something I’m particularly happy about after writing a check (after a decent dealer discount) for $105k
Just the thought of writing a check for that amount for a vehicle makes me sick. Lol.
should have enough power to pull a tow truck behind it when it has a problem.
Are you hearing about the issues with the RAM's? The wiring harness is too short according to the assembly line workers causing electronic gremlins when the trucks get run hard on rough terrain.
I completely do not understand the appeal of hands free driving.
Remember, it’s a truck..with a big price is all
Man I hate that knob
The Hemi is a strong motor and great in massive wind storms. The Pentastar sucks in wind and holding cruise going up & down hills.
I wonder on the Hurricane is going to handle wind and cruise.
It doesn’t take much power to hold at highway speeds
@@pathunter7003 I drove the Ram with the V-6 and she didn't maintain speed using cruise control on a 6% grade nor in high winds. The Hemi never had any problems in either situation.

I don’t like the styling, looks bland and uninspired. And the shift dial is enough for me not to buy it.

The shift dial’s suck I don’t know why they can’t just leave things alone and keep what people like.
It's understated, classy as a high optioned vehicle. The dial shift is really nice, I've had one for 10 years. Easy to use with just a flick.
@@xsiner I've never had a problem with the dial. It always worked well for me.
I bought a 2021 ram 1500 and was skeptical about the shift Dail at first. Then I realized how little I actually shift gears and how much room it saves not having a giant stick taking up storage/ cup holder space.
