#Ram #trucks #1500 - Авто/Мото
57 before Covid we use to get fully loaded limited under 57k now we getting only base model
30K bump is ridiculous! These trucks are not going to sell as 4 dollar gas come again.
Base Tradesman should be max 30K
@@kennedyracing7527we some how need to put a halt on ppl buying these trucks or else they will keep going up cause ppl still find ways to pay for it
People forget that companies need to make money too.
@@kennedyracing7527 only way for trucks to go down is if there was sometype of decrease in sales due to overpriced vehicles . The only reason they are marked up is cause ppl find ways to get approved and buy it. Everyone would have to come together and stop paying those prices
57k for a base truck is insane……
2025 RAM 1500 Tradesman starting msrp is $40,275. ($42, 275 with destination fee)
@@mixedbyfiatcat wish I could find one that price around me!!! I would buy in a heartbeat!!! My 2018 2500 4x4 was that price brand new…. Not sure where you are finding them that price.
I have a 2023 Warlock crew cab, 6 ft 4 bed with several options like limited slip with 355 gears, the full-length console, power rear window, tow hoods, fogs, etc. and list was 53, i paid under 43 though. Truck WAS perfect but i got rear ended while sitting on an on ramp 2 months ago, over 6 grand in damage so it wasn't a 'love tap' If i buy another i will get a 2024 Laramie with the leather, HEMI, etc. depending on whats available.
Yes completely ridiculous, but guys like this goof ball think its agood deal... insane
@@mjuberian yeah these prices are ridiculous… I hate to admit it but I just bought a 2024 Nissan Versa 5 speed manual for 18k out the door to use as a run around/commuter car to keep the miles off of my truck. My truck is paid off with 90k miles so I have to make it last because I refuse to buy new at these prices.
I will take mmmmm none of them because i cannot afford one lol
Said this last year and it's still true, everyone should just stop buying trucks until manufacturers come back to real world pricing. We're not trying to buy Toronto real estate here.
It’s happening, all these high dollar top spec trucks are collecting dust on dealers lots. People are refusing to buy, including myself
RAM buyers must be rolling on dough. $57 k for the tradesman. Unreal.
Just 2 years ago I seen limiteds brand new for 55k. Ram is part of the problem why all these trucks are getting expensive.
Especially with as much money they're going to pay in repairs
It's actually why there aren't any ram buyers anymore. This is just a display that stelantis hasn't learned their lesson yet.
I remember the last time I looked at one back around 2020, I had an out the door offer for a hemi rebel right at $40k.
@DrKreiger yeah I got my rebel for 43k lol do I think that was expensive yes do I think it was worth it no lol. But I do love everything about it and wouldn't trade it for anything right now
I mean the economy is solid right now, so 57k is doable for a lot of people now. I expect a resurgence in Ram truck sales.
Wait what ...tradesman 57k? That's not "affordable" just a few years ago a power wagon base model was like 63k limiteds was like 60k.
So the ram RHO was just announced with a msrp of $71,990. It’s hard to believe that the RHO trim level will be the cheapest Ram with the twin turbo hurricane motor.
I presume you’re talking about the HO motor since the Tradesman in this video is also available with the base Hurricane twin turbo engine.
@@ALMX5DP right. The 540 hp motor
Many don't recall, but when the TRX first debuted, you could actually get one with very few options, which helped to keep prices low. But as with all of the Big 3, they went crazy on truck prices. Luckily, Ram is getting ahead of the curve and lowering prices and actually expect them to lower the prices of the upper trim Limited and Tungsten. The trends are starting to turn against full size trucks.
Translation to off the car lot price . 86k
Dealer markup to 100k. Ram knows dealers are going to mark them up so the MSRP has to be low.
What the hell… I know prices go up and rarely come down, but how is the Laramie $20K more on the sticker than what my 2021 was? I had the same packages minus a few minor new items.. $20K increase in 3 years time is absurd.
I guess that mean the equity in your truck is either flat or has grown. All vehicles equity plummets as soon as you drive off the lot
@@rjmendoza I was saying the new sticker price is $20K higher than the sticker price 3 years ago, not the used value.
Same I used to have a Laramie as well. I gitnit off the lot for 49 smh. Cracy
Same truck minus the digital dash, 14 inch screen, extra passenger screen, and automatic tailgate. I don’t know if that is worth 20k extra.
It’s crazy to think that a couple minor aftermarket additions to the Tungsten puts you under 1k payload. Really defeats the purpose of the functionality of having a truck.
Under 1,000 lbs payload is pretty low. I mean I just looked up a Honda Civic Payload and it's 850lbs.
These trucks will see the same work as a Honda Civic.
5 people at 200lb each max's out your payload before you put anything in the bed!
No lie this line of RAM's has got my attention. Specifically the RHO
Almost 60k for a tradesman...
I think options take that up a bit. Building a base quad cab with just the Hurricane and I see it is technically possible to get it in at under $50k. Still tons of money in my mind but quite a bit less if you choose options wisely.
The discounts will be substantial. I imagine 15k off msrp will be possible
I priced the warlock package at 57k. Now the key is to wait and buy when they are discounted. Ram usually discounts the bighorn trim the most. I got mine 11k off msrp.
Good point, I think this directly maps to just how desirable Ram trucks are today
Hopefully they have the sport appearance option again for the tradesmen. Got that option on my ‘23. Like the sporty appearance without the bells and whistles
In 2020 i got a laramie sport trim with the hemi and 4x4 for 41k out the door. In that short time the same truck now costs 30k more. Literally cocaine levels of crazy going on with these manufacturers.
You are looking at the sticker on the new one, you don't know what the out the door price so I don't think it's fair to say its 30K more. Also this is a night package which is significantly more then a standard Laramie sport. I'm looking at Laramie Sports now and they are stickering 67-72K depending on options. I'm hoping to get down closer to 60K with the discounts. That said I do think the Laramie night package is overpriced, just not worth getting it for what they want for it, it is much more reasonable on the Big Horn.
I have a 2019 Laramie edition with most of everything that was presented by RAM in the top editions for 30% less and I'm so glad for your review. My Hemi 5.7l is purring like a kitten at 73000 miles all of which was $49,000. The next bonus, I own my precious RAM. There is nothing revolutionary here but there is evolutionary greatness going on which I am excited about--Ramcharger is coming so good times. Great job brother!
I've never watched your channel before and I have to say you do a good job covering the bases. Nicely done. 👍
Welcome aboard!
Who is paying 60-90k for a ram or any of the other brands?the straight 6 is cool but to hell with the prices.these will be on the lots with 20-30k off just like the gladiators.
The Tradesman is more than enough in terms of features and comfort.
I'm impressed by the Tradesman. Of course I'd want heated seats and wheel to make it perfect.
I like the horizontal interior design of the GM trucks than the vertical display that RAM does.
Ram start the big screen deal
Hi Steve, you are my favorite truck channel, you and your Dad do a fantastic job and very informative. I would be. remiss if I didn’t mention your videographer, he’s fantastic. His ability to capture a shot of everything your describing is priceless, be good to him because he’s a big part of your channels success, thanks.
Thanks.
I would go with the Ram Limited, Has all the luxury features i like and front steel bumper, Front tow hooks & HO engine!
The prices are nuts.
Ram 1500 is a great overall truck.
Great review of Ram truck models. Thanks for taking the time to put this information out here!!
Watching this gets me happy i bought my 2021 bighorn night edition at a great price. Looks nice and payload almost 1700lbs and towing 11000. Prices are ridiculous right now. Love my hemi as well!
Hopefully they add the night edition package to the tradesman again
Ram needs a Peasantman trim.
The whole range is a winner.
With high prices for the trucks / gas / interest rates…..who can afford these?
UPS Drivers
@@captainamerica9353 maybe the 1099 contract once
Are you kidding me. These prices are insane. 90,000 for a truck , that’s a mortgage
They kinda predicted this about 12 yrs ago. Vehicles would become so expensive that it would be common to “ lease”the time you used it. Then the next person would lease their time with it, and so on. So it may be coming true after all
All the trucks are absolutely built in standard features ,valuable information and good looks.
First time visiting your channel, I must say very impressed. Through every model you gave a distinct and thorough overview. I really appreciate you showing the differences; you definitely have a new subscriber! I haven’t looked through all your videos yet but have you done one on all of the Ram 2500 and or 3500 trucks? Thanks again for the content and easily the best review of the 1500 Ram lineup.
I’m impressed, other than the Hemi being gone, Ram has done a nice job once again.
I understand why the Tradesman is pushing $60k: added options. This needs to be acknowledged. If you go to RAM's online configurator, the Tradesman is $40k which is substantially better priced.
Of course I'd go for the Tungsten if money wasn't an object. But with it being so, I'd go for a used Rebel. Even though I don't off-road, it's still nice to have if I unexpectedly have to. Second option being the Limited, again used.
Thanks for the great vid. Gives buyers a good example of each of these trims. Nice looking trucks. The luxury options on all new trucks are crazy. Anyone in the market need to take some time in the build and price tool to see what options they want and what they can do without.
Thanks for watching!
Very good reviews!
I wouldn't touch one of these trucks for at least 3 years. That engine has a lot to prove and the power numbers seem wild for factory straight 6.
Excellent episode!!! 😁
My first truck was a Tradesman Dodge B100 Van and it was a Slant 6, Ram has come full circle .Good lunch if you get problems needing an engine rebuild with that thing😂
Great segment TH !
Great Video!!
The pricing is out of reality for a "worktruck" - It might be great but all modern trucks are out of affordability for most people and if you have to spend that much money for a worktruck it's no wonder that's inflation get's out of control. I don't need adaptive cruise control, lane assist or a 14" screen Less than ever a passenger display or digital cluster. Even a speedometer is only necessary to avoid speeding fines. If a manufactorer comes back to a basic level and offers a full size truck with a high payload under 35K USD / 50K CAD he will sell high numbers to companies and working people
Beautiful trucks
what more or different options wouid you get with the limited longhorn over the limited.
I'm staying with my 2021 Limited Night Edition from here to the moon. 🥰🥰🥰
Can you option a locking diff in any model or do you have to get a dedicated off road model?
Another great review Steve. Insane prices though!!
Price is why Ram still is the highest days of inventory of all vehicles on the market … 153 days. Also I just looked at my Honda Ridgeline that’s says cargo max is 1543 lbs. Still tows 5,000 lbs V6. I would have bought another GMC Sierra SLE-1 Crew Cab. GMC priced out of my range. Call these Ridgeline Barbi trucks if you may …. But OTD cost $41640.
Will Ram still have the Sport trim available in Canada in 2025?
love the videos. Can you going forward let us know what is "subscription based "options.
Awesome review bro 😎
Thanks! 👍
Any indication from Ram of a forthcoming midsize pickup?
Man I wish u had the Longhorn was really looking forward to seeing the seats from the web it looks different than previous year
I had a Ram with those floor bins. I was crawling over some rocks and when the wheels came down off of a rock, it lowered the bin onto some other rocks. The bins crumpled like a soda can, puking out everything I had in them up into the floor of the back seat.
☕ Happy Sunday ☕
Cool trucks I have 2016 longhorn 4x4 and it’s been a great vehicle. I may go to the twin turbo .
That's the same sport hood since the 5th gen first came out
I love the Truck King’s reviews. For me the Laramie offers to perfect compromise between comfort and capability. I like this lineup but what I am really excited about is the new RamCharger and Ram 2500. Can’t wait for those models to be released.
If they add a new cab to the HD they need to
Do all trim levels have the “dead pedal”?
I like the Laramie, The Big Horn looks real good with the Red and black as well.
Love the Rebel!🎉
Are all the RAM motors built in Mexico now?? I see they assemble some trucks in the USA but all the window stickers I’ve seen on the 2025’s so far engine source:Mexico ??
Great video as always. Informative. And, I greatly appreciate your focus on payload. We are cross shopping midsize and 1/2 ton trucks to tow a small camper and haul camping gear. The payload benchmark for me is 1500 lbs for a midsize and 1800 lbs for a 1/2 ton. None of these trucks, as shown, have sufficient payload. All a sharp. Even the Tradesman as shown exceeds my price limit unless heavily discounted. Trucks have truly surpassed luxury sedans as status symbols. Why would I ever want a $90K pickup truck with only 1,000 lbs of payload? I will continue to look at the Tradesman and Big Horn, but I suspect not enough payload and too much money! ;)
Waiting on the REV now.
What happened to the all electric, with the 3.6l range extender?
I think that's coming later this year with the full electric
I think that rams decision to kill of the hemi was wrong only because GM,Ford and even the Toyota still has a V8 option. yes i know that the Hurrricane makes more power but Ram could have developed a hemi to make over 500Hp if they wanted to.
Toyota don't have a v8 in there truck
Basic truck: close to 60k!!🤯😱
Since when is this normal? People: stand up and protest. It's ridiculous with these prices. And society finds it strange we can't afford his health care for everybody, good roads, people evicted from their houses, people in debt....😒😒😒😒
I'd get a teadsman or bighorn in a quad cab. It has more payload than the crew cab and much cheaper. I don't really need a big back seat area.
The Tradesman is a good value. I have 2017 Hemi Tradesman and its payload is 1,283 lbs vs 1,646 in this one. Plus that 8 in screen is the one I want anyways- it’s a good balance between physical knobs / buttons and screen.
What’s funny is the lower half of the bigger screen is used for functions anyway. That’s why I also chose the smaller screen to have real buttons.
The tradesmen Quad cab with the pentastar engine and a few efficient rear axle with the locking differential is fine for me
19:39 why is the payload this small? I drive a Gen5 2020 4x4 Laramie with the 5.7 V8, and the payload is 1000kg / almost 2000lbs.
over 90k for a “truck” that doesn’t even have 1000lbs payload? oh hell no.
Hi TK, I'll be in the market for a 25/26 3500hd diesel and would suggest a future video of Howard comparing the 6.6 duramax vs 6.7 cummins. Thanks for the work you put into these videos, these new trucks are so expensive I will take my time doing proper research.
Cummins lol. Solid front axle tells you everything you need to know.
I love all the ram trucks.
Is the eco diesel coming back?
The interesting thing I’m seeing is when the 5.7 was an option I didn’t see much of any 3.6 pentastars. Now I’m seeing a bunch of them in the Big Horn trims here. And that motor in a Big Horn for $60k is terrible. When I can get an XLT PowerBoost for close to $60k.
U can get 3.0 in the big horn
@@843MudMafia.I know. Just saying it’s surprising to see so many 3.6s now.
@@bobdennis4801 yea
People are realizing the Hemi engine is goofy and not needed. Horrible mpg, outdated tech, and if you drove a 5.7 vs 3.6 Pentastar you really couldn't tell a difference in power, they just sounded a little different that's all.
Isn’t the Limited a step up from the Laramie? I always looked at the Rebel as that off-road cousin lol
It would be great if the payload numbers matched, he said this truck is good for 1646 lbs but when showing the “truck as tested “ info the numbers it said 1900lb payload
I was interested in Ram for the new Hurricane but at these prices and and super low payload I'll instead keep my 2015 Ford XLT 3.5 Ecoboost.
how many miles u got on that i also have a 15 3.5 i love it
He did not mention it comes with adaptive cruise standard
No warlock in canada yet? They announced it already
I find it silly that you can only get the high output i6 motor on limted/tungsten and RHO. You would think someone buying a tradesmen or bighorn perhaps would be actually using it for work and or towing and need the extra power for such use. But no, luxury options only, that will be there next big release in a year or two, high output option on lower trim levels.
8” is big enough, for screens too
Can't wait to see MPG and MPG with towing 5,000, 7,000 and 10,000
People have to stop buying these 60k trucks. I will never pay that for a base truck. They're trying to get us used to paying these crazy amounts of money for these trucks but trying to force us to accept this is the new normal .....not for me😮
Ram towing with the Hurricane appears to be a great option in a smaller truck.
What happened to the RHO?
That's a great truck to put in replacement of the TRX..
These prices are insane! Who can afford these higher end models? Crazy!
Maybe I'll get a used one in 2040 😅😅 it's closer than you think - That's like buying an 08 today
Laramie and continue limited are my favorite but they got to have ram box and split tailgate I owned a 2021 Southwest edition with Ram Box and split tailgate it was a game-changer at first I was skeptical about those features but they came very handy for the time I own my pickup truck the only downfall with this new drugs is no more hemi engines😢
I'll be buying one used...about 10yrs old, maybe 20! 😅
You missed on the RHO and Rebel X respectively
Because they're not even beight built yet maybe?
I think I would get the Laramies.
So no more Longhorn trim? I like the western/cowboy interior.
Id either get a Tradesman with the Hurrican or a Limited.
The limited tungsten is nice but it has a lot of chrome outside for being a tungsten it should just be completely painted the Laramie is really nice but prices are a little outrageous
So a base model truck is pushing 60k? And these engines are all assembled in Mexico, yeah no thanks
Plis review the family Ford F150 2024
As much as i hated ram getting rid of the Hemi V8 i gotta admit the limited, the tungsten, and the rebel are nice might consider buying one in the future thats if the market drops it 50k down i aint paying 85k to 100k for a 1500 truck if its a Bentley or lambo i get it
