Good morning everyone! Welcome to the final part 3 of our 2025 Ram 1500 review! This video includes driving scenes of both outputs of the 3.0L twin-turbo I-6 Hurricane engine. If you came here from our Ram 1500 Rebel video, this is the video you were looking for that has driving scenes from the off-road Rebel trim.
I ordered my Tungsten on Friday. It's too bad Ram in Canada is so slow to share information. I was told I couldn't get Ram boxes but it is standard. LOL I can hardly wait until it comes in...
I don’t know what impressed me more, the truck or this man’s ability to memorize & spew out every single detail of this truck’s features, with flawless articulation and precision without stumbling once. But the one thing that’s difficult for me to believe, and I’m not saying that it doesn’t, but that this truck supposedly has, what he say, around 550 hp coming from a six cylinder engine; and that after he fired it up, sounded a little better than a souped up sewing machine.
@zacharybarnes1824 wrong truck. This is directly powered by the 3.0 online 6. The phev is 630hp with the 3.6 pentastar as the generator. However, it can also apply power to the wheels. I don't think the Tungsten even has an optional eTorque
That's crazy. 500 horsepower and 28 PSI out of an inline 6. You know it's going to be reliable. Definitely worth the $100,000 price tag. Who buys these? Nobody I associate with. I guess I'm poor.
This is basically a luxury sedan that can tow and haul. THIS interior is what BMW and Mercedes should be trying to do. As much as I hate the reputation (deserved or otherwise) that Stellantis has gotten in recent years, you have to admit their interior design is on POINT.
Luxury? Are u blind ? In the beginning of the video did u catch the gaps on the front wheel well bmw , mebz would be out of business with that shoddy fit and finish and this vehicle was for a yt video
Ram rarely sells a truck at MSRP. For a decade now you can get at a minimum 10k off sticker and more around 13-15k all day at large dealers. My fully loaded limited in 2019 was 71k and I got it for 51k. People just need to shop smarter.
There's a dealer where I live that typically had over 700 Ram 1500's in inventory or on the way. A "sea of unsold pickups" as you said but they'd go through inventory fast. People want options and they want the truck now. It's their best selling model so of course they're going to have inventory. The last few years their supply was down at that dealer but now they're finally able to get them. Now we have people saying "look at the inventory!!" Hah!! Why didn't anyone say it 5 years ago????
Ram is down 15% YoY. It's the prices and interest rates. The monthly price is unaffordable, especially with all the addons dealers like. The increase in prices is three-fold. First is that in 2020 and 2021, the money supply increased by 50%. Any good company will also increase their prices to meet the obvious inflation coming. Second is the EV mandates which are expensive to bring to market. For instance, for each Mach-E Ford needs to sell 4 F-150s so the profits from the F-150 could pay for the losses of the Mach-E. With everything Stellantis, all the expenses are paid for from the profits of Rams and Jeeps. Third is that we are in the middle of a recession and 2024 is predicted to be a bad year. It's better to sell few vehicles at a high margin than many vehicles at a low margin.
I like thee wheels. I like it all. RAM keeps making the prettiest truck. I sure hope that motor works out for the long haul. I'm not used to that, and 200,000 is a lot of revolutions.

Mercedes had that much boost and more over time in their 4 cylinder in the AMG 45's, and that came out in 2013. Turbo technology has come a long way since the 90s.
Yes it's true turbos have come along way, but having crazy high psi will dramatically shorten the life of any engine and all components with it. Especially with heavy driving all the time. Towing

I6 motors are known for reliability, balance, and simplicity. It really is the only way they could have made a motor to compete with how cool the hemi was. @jordanreyes8880 with all extra costs for diesel and maintenance there isn't no difference..Ram has a diesel and prefer a v8 all day and Ram wins hands down in every way..most awarded most reliable pickup RAM-1500 KING OF TRUCKS 👌
@@RAM-KINGOFTRUCKS in my experience, my diesel is much cheaper. I put $10 def fluid in ever 2-3 months, and a $30 fuel filter every 20,000 miles. So far, that’s way cheaper than my rear window leak and exhaust manifolds were 🤣
Front bumper is no longer a 2 piece with steel lower. It's now more modern, inner impact bar style bumper with a front plastic bumper cover. Ram did it on some of the 4th gen trims.
Engines these days are designed for it. Head gaskets are built amazing for this added pressure. Back in the day, they slapped turbos on regular engines not designed for it. Things are so advanced now.
Most people buying this truck don't care about the price or they wouldn't be buying. It's an Option if you don't like the price don't buy it. Some of us want more options with every new and improved vehicle.
Great review! I always appreciate that you are the ONLY reviewer that shows what Apple Carplay and Android auto look like on the screens. That is a very important to me when purchasing a vehicle. When Ram initially came out with the large screen, Carplay only used up half of the screen, which was a huge disappointment.
Honestly for alot of people its much easier to adjust quickly and put it exactly where you want it over an electrical system. If its electric, its also just another point of failure, and there really isn't a reason for something most people adjust one time, to be electric.
People spend this much money on Mercedes and Cadillacs; yet, there's no practicality. This actually has practicality and luxury so I can't complain about the price.
Solid!! Thx for this great review. I am in the market for a luxury truck, but DAMN!! $87K!! That's a lot. My last 'cool' truck was my '06 RR Sport and now it needs to go to pasture. I'm due for another toy. Love the level of luxury of this one for sure. The Denali has so far gotten tagged at the top of my list. This has the geek factor pegged just a bit more which I caught my eye. The road test is the kicker for me. Comfort on the road is the key. I ain't towing, hauling, or shoveling $h!t with my truck. It's strictly for road trips and dinner dates with the wife!! Gonna drop by the dealer soon to see one up close.
Not possible because Ram owns the Patent to outside bed lockable storage. The only way around it is to put that same type of storage on the inner side of the bed.
If I am doing the math right the patent will expire in 2029 so other makers can then do it. Year 1 was 2009 and patents are enforceable for 20 years@@rotaryperfection
The Rear view camera wide view does not seem to cover as much area as the pre-refresh model. This is such an important feature that the RAM did better than any other competitor. Now they all blend together. I wonder if there is any info on the actual degrees covered by the wide lens?
Beautiful truck for sure. I think even if I was in position to buy one if these, I'd go limited instead. Even though my mechanic days are past, I just don't think I need the stress of a light coloured interior in my life lol
What data do you have to prove this? The inline six made by BMW is a solid engine which this engine is almost the same design. And if you look at the super tough internals of this engine, I'll bet you it turns out to be a super dependable.
@@RedBeardJohnny61 I have a Hemi and this new engine is way better, so what about sound. Do you want sound or performance? Both, but the Hemi does not provide the kind of power this engine has without the amazing MPG.
When Sofyan did the top tier walk up intro on this 1500 Ram Tungsten... I knew I was in for a treat. I'm actually looking at The Ram 3500 6.7L Cummins I-6 HO diesel engine myself.
The problem is anyone who waits to get one at auction in 2030 missed out on six years of experiencing it and enjoying it. Life is short, the longer you wait the older you will be once you finally do experience something. Time is the one resource we can never get back. Money can be replaced.
@@mackfar27 2020, it’s only the xdrive40i, but that thing rips. When I come home and drive it on occasion it’s scary how easily you’ll hit triple digits without even realizing it. 0-60 quoted at 5.0 sec according to caranddriver, so for this big ass truck to be doing 4.7 seconds is insane
@@krane15 real world mpg hasn’t been much better than the Hemi. At least the Hemi is easy and simple to mod without costing an arm and a leg, and has a long service life if maintained. And it’s an inline 6.
When *gm* introduced a new trim level they were trolled now everyone is doing it. Lol. It never fails. Anyway, this truck looks good and finally can compete with the attention to detail and craftsmanship *gm* is offering. Before the Sierra, nobody cared to engrave leathers, woods, or metals. Nobody was doing welcome animations on trucks or offering HUD and semi autonomous driving. *gm* has set a new standard since the 2019 RAM Limited took their truck up market and now Stellantis is responding. RAM and Ford are trying to look less goofy, more sophisticated, clean and futuristic like Sierra. Tundra appealing to a different crowd. I do think Stellantis giving this truck what’s basically a Jeep Grand Cherokee’s interior is playing it a bit safe. The pricing of their new lineup shall be very interesting. What they should’ve took from *gm* is the fact they have kept their marvelous V8s. Edit: Looks like I struck a few Ford & RAM fanboy nerves. It’s ok boys, Y’all will be just fine. 🥴
First, all manufactures steal from one another. Second, original or not, RAM does interior far better that any other truck in the industry. In fact, they rival most luxury automobiles. You'd have to go to ultra luxury to find a car that offer heated and cooled rear seats. RAM offer it in a truck. That's class leading.
@G-rated News flash, GM created nothing new, ford/ Lincoln made a luxurious truck called Blackwood back in 2002, they didn’t sell a ton of them because they were expensive and was an unusual truck for its time. So perhaps GM copied from the Blackwood? It never fails eh?😝
As of the end of March 2024, the Tungsten can only be ordered in the 5'7" box and only with the Ram box. I wish there were more options as I enjoy having the 6'4" bed in my 2019 Limited. My '19 Limited has the telescoping/adjustable steering wheel the same as the 2025. Need for it to be power? Meh, it's one o those set it and forget it things. If it were power however, it should be part of the memory driver settings. Impressive 0-60 times. I had a 2005 SRT-10 Ram Quad Cab (Viper engine) which was said to do 0-60 in 5.3 seconds and the regular cab 4.9 seconds. 20 years later, a 3.0L twin turbo vs an 8.3L natural asperated is getting twice the MPG's, beating the HP/Torque ratings, heavier, yet faster, this is an incredible power plant and truck.
@@theredline if the I6 is less reliable and more expensive and more complicated to fix out of warranty the Hemi will definitely be missed. Not to mention the lack of the exhaust note.
Hemi was a bad design. All bark and no bite. This new design is most balanced by design. Will last longer and easier to work on. Engine is designed for intense boost.
Wow! The tungsten version is surprisingly nice!. The interior is very luxurious and functional. I’m really surprised that Ram came up with this and not GMC. 👍🏽
I bought a 2500 Cummins 4x4 Tungsten edition Megacab back in 2018. It was loaded with everything available, it cost less than this truck and it would drag it down the road sideways!
$90K for a 1500 is WILD. What’s next, a $200K 1500 in 2035? I’d go for a Macan electric at this point personally, if they ever switch to NACS. Paying attention to the 500 mile range claimed 2025 RAM 1500 though. I’ve driven rams for years and I’m going to be looking to buy at that price point for my next vehicle but I just can’t justify $90K for a 1/2 ton that lags far behind the rest of the market with smart driver assistance packages (like full self driving, auto pilot, whatever Ford calls their Autopilot, etc..) I am a HUGE fan of the phone as a key feature as I currently have a Tesla that uses the same feature and it’s just so much better. They certainly did a fantastic job with the truck, I do have a soft spot for ram, but it’s just not for me at that price point. Even if it was at $80K it would be a lot more justifiable but honestly I think anything past $70K for a super nice 1/2 ton (aside from specialty 1/2 tons like the TRX) is just too much.
The Ram box is also a ice chest...both have a drain plug...therefore they are insulated.Plus there is a power plug in each also a hunting rifle can be safely stored in each box. They are both air tight and leak proof...I am buying one next year. after I get my worker comp settlement
Absolutely beautiful interior. Looks on par with Mercedes! Far better than the Tundra! This would have been an amazing platform to build a full size SUV to compete with the Expedition/Navigator and Suburban/Yukon💯
@@fromtheoutsidelooking197 I would think it would be a good opportunity to come up with a new name under the Ram badge. Especially if they want to move it up market
How those color seats gonna hold up over time I would like Ram to offer a brown leather or black leather for customers who don't like the light color seats
@14:40 I have never seen any RAM truck at any level with a power steering wheel. Why? Both Ford and GM offer them. The only thing other than that is rear-wheel steering. Once pickup get that, t hey will be unstoppable. You won't even need a second vehicle. Anyway, at this point I think its safe to get rid of the USB A. Especially when you can always get a cheap adapter. Speaking of multiple USB, I would have like to have seen on on the rear view mirror for an easy dashcam connection.
Klipsch, huh? I find it interesting that automakers build relationships with home audio companies and not mobile audio companies like Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Focal, JL, etc. Hmmm. 🤔
@@krane15 I grew up with the same brands too and no, they’re not truly the same companies; however, I would like to say that I would respect a JL, Morel, Focal, and an Alpine over a JBL, Harman Kardon, or an AKG system. Times have changed, I guess.
Many manufacturers used those names decades ago. Home Theatre Systems are the best to replicate especially when some customers have them in their homes.

It's European now with German engineers invested. And I like it. More efficient than Americanize engines. But pentastar and hemi are reliable though.
This is built for it. These will be built to last. Straight 6 is most balanced.

Hey, really good camera work today, and good editing. Bravo.
Center stack screen not big enough. Where’s the 70” TFT ?
Another Awesome Video! The 2025 Ram looks like a winner! However, 28 psi seems pretty high for long term reliability.
Engines these days are designed for it. Head gaskets are built amazing for this added pressure.
Back in the day, they slapped turbos on regular engines not designed for it. Things are so advanced now.
It's more than likely won't even touch that unless they're full throttling it 90% of the time. I don't think there's much worry tbh.

Manual steering column adjustment in this price range? Por qué?
Agreed. I'm not sure why RAM has issues with that.
Honestly for alot of people its much easier to adjust quickly and put it exactly where you want it over an electrical system. If its electric, its also just another point of failure, and there really isn't a reason for something most people adjust one time, to be electric.
You do not want it power, because people pull themselves up by the wheel. That hurts the motors. Set it and forget it.
@@ahastar1141 The best thing about electric is that once you set it, it always returns to that setting without doing anything.
That engine and sound system 😍
$90k seems high, but cheaper than a Grand Wagoneer? Very nice looking truck, and the lower specs could be very good options.
Best channel on RUclips.
90k is crazy
It is, but a Sierra Denali Ultimate trim comes very close to this price as well.
@@theredline I’m ok with that truck being that much, and for that money the only answer should be the raptor
And how many Sierra Denali Ultimate do they sell? Prices are getting out of hand
@@aladin_ko Probably a lot more than we think
I love the RamBox! I’m surprised more brands haven’t applied this to their midsize and full size trucks!
Totally agree, it’s one of the major reasons I’m sticking with Ram going ahead. Such handy storage capabilities.
@tjsullivan4793 Can Ram renew exclusivity, or is the patent OPEN after expiration no matter what?
Do you know what I hate about this Ram? The 0-60 time is faster than my Gen 3 Raptor 😆
I traded my 2024 Silverado High Country for a 2025 Ram Limited. Night and day difference. GM can’t touch these trucks!
Amazing job Sofyan.
19/23 MPG, with 540 HP, carrying 3 tons, is very impressive
Factory numbers are rarely accurate
Yeah, no shit. I saw that EPA number, then I looked again. Then again! 😅
Besides the the info provided I HAVE TO SAY that the picture quality is beautiful my man!
Ditto That. .. Great video. ..
28 psi 😮
The Rear view camera wide view does not seem to cover as much area as the pre-refresh model. This is such an important feature that the RAM did better than any other competitor. Now they all blend together. I wonder if there is any info on the actual degrees covered by the wide lens?
Still ridiculous to me that on a nearly $100k truck they can’t include a power adjustable steering wheel.
It's just another point of failure and a manual is much easier to adjust exactly where you want it quickly.
Manual is better. Less to break after people tug on them to get in the truck.
I wonder if it telescopes also?

That engine is scary af from an ownership perspective. Definitely a lease only vehicle.
I can already imagine them sitting at rows in dealerships, not selling 🙂

At 100k you'd need the 6'4 bed in this truck so you could sleep in it.

People can stop inflation if we stick together
The Ram box is also a ice chest...both have a drain plug...therefore they are insulated.Plus there is a power plug in each also a hunting rifle can be safely stored in each box. They are both air tight and leak proof...I am buying one next year. after I get my worker comp settlement
