Lame
@@atg1338 yet true
@@fl_atv_riders4455 yes it's true you are lame
Maybe because Tundra’s Market share has fallen to less than 5% of the full size truck market.
Yea they are huge Toyota simps and don't want to lose special access.
As much as I appreciate V8s, esp the Coyote and LS platforms, the only truck I would buy today is the Ford Powerboost. It's a truck meant to be a truck, awesome for work sites and home. I think Ford made a great decision to push it even more.
Exactly
If i need power i get a generator.
My dream truck is a resto-moddes 1976 Ford 4x4 ext cab with a 7.3l diesel or a 24 valve cummins swapped engine. Love the looks of that old Ford and I am not a Ford guy, but I would go for one of those oldies!
I'm with you guys, the F-150 all the way! I I think it has the best balance overall and I especially like the power outlets in the bed, you really can't beat that. Although it would be nice with the Coyote engine as well
Next time do all 4 brands fully loaded with their highest trim except for block heater. I would pick tungsten fully loaded with its body style and just add from other brands. Give me the ford outlets, weight system of your load, function of automatic running boards, and under seat storage. Now GMC give me supercruise, it’s rear bumper, and the back seat lower back storage. The only thing I wanted from Toyota was reliability, but that is not possible now.😢
Have ‘23 Lariat Powerboost and it is the best truck I have ever had. Utility is 150%!
Ford with 34 open recalls at the moment. No thanks.
I would keep my 2017 F150 XLT 2nd gen 5.0 Supercab in race red!Absolutely love my truck! Has just the right amount of modern tech without all the new techy nanny crap in it! Just a simple capable comfortable and reliable truck that I hope to have forever!
I get it, but, remember, it's not professional grade
You are so cringe
2015 5.0 keeping it as long as possible ❤🎉
That beautiful soft material on the dash for the ram starts to bubble up in the Florida heat after 2 years.
True
Just about then “RUST “ Fiat kept that for RAM and the fact Stellantis introduced their quality into the FIAT RAM you can’t go wrong with….lol
Is it fair when you compare a Lariat (F-150) to two top trims in the form of the GMC Sierra Denali, and a RAM Limited? 🤔
It is certainly fair when it’s an $80,000 Lariat. That’s *Denali* price range. They _tried_ to help Ford’s case by opting out of mentioning/comparing price. Now you’re in the comments pushing the issue lol
Well the lariat starts at $65k and is well equipped already and yes you can get a higher trim f150 for around the gmc and ram $$$ however at the price point of the Lariat your better off with the Ford Because apples to apples the GMC Sierra SLT would be its competition and it isn’t as sexy. Nutshell-The Denali is more expensive than the Lariat. But it’s not crazy expensive considering the two and you can definitely option up an f150 way more if you wanted.
I guess so. Dealers are asking $62k for a new 2024 Denali with $75k sticker. Not sure how much they want for the new 25 ram though
on my second Ram 1500 right now. I was seriously considering switching to a High country after my lease was up on the Ram 1500 but the Ram seats are in a class of its own . The rear seats are not even comparavle. Rear in Chevy feels like a bench and quite honeostly arent confortable. Interior is pretty much even in the both the GM refreah. In the end went for confort and stayed with Ram Laramie
I like the Ram with the 3.6
That would be the one I go with. Good luck with your truck!
Three vehicles are excellent. It’s personal preference. What do you like more and what do you like? Less in each model has different features that make that decision easy
I was a Dodge Ram guy with my last truck. I've always just liked how they look, that signature mean looking grill. And I test drove some new ones and I will definitely say they are fast with a smooth ride. But there's just some things about them that I'm not a huge fan of, at least as far as the 1500s go. All the heavy duty trucks are still awesome but I can't justify buying one
So this time around I went Ford. I got into Lariat but I went with the V8 Coyote. It's hard not to use sport mode lol. It might be lacking in horsepower compared to that RAM but man it can still take off quick for a big truck and it is fun hearing that engine growl. But overall I am super impressed with the vehicle. I think it rides more than smooth enough compared to what I'm used to and it definitely felt different than the XLT I tried out. And even that felt pretty good
These days I don't really think you'll regret picking any of these trucks.
Ram - You don’t need to hold the start button down. Haha.
But you get the Ram tough cute little gear selector dial.
@@fishonalbertaoutdoors9761I hate that! I love the console shifter in my 2011 ram
$88,000 for a 1/2 ton??????? When did pickup trucks become a rich guy status symbol? These will never be used as trucks.
Why not? I use mine as a truck everyday. And I definitely didn’t pay $88k.
Nothing wrong with that, more sales means better products for everyone.
I see your point was made!
1150 lb payload from the ram is LAUGHABLE. 10% tongue weight on a 8k trailer - 800 lbs so you can haul 1.5 people.
It gets even lower than that with a fully loaded Tungsten. Like 930.
@@SliderFury1that’s what happens when you’re trying to be the S-class of pickup trucks. I wonder how reliable that air suspension is. Lol 🤡
1.5 dang people must be from the south 😂 I'm from the south but 222 and 6'3 lol
My sienna has 1150
My Titan has 2300, and front bebch seat. I take that over all these useless electric features. Why do i need a scale if i don't have payload? I guess to se how much weight have i gained. Engine without a dipstick in a truck🤮. Premium fuel in a truck? $80k+ price tag. Time to buy some used trucks as a spare...
great video lads i love all these trucks i live in Australia and now all three are available here but not in that configuration though.. Ram is the sale's leader here but Ford and Chevy are doing ok too...
Hands free? The truck will wake up and drive itself to the bank when you fail to make the payments.
L😂L
😂😂😂
I would choose to keep my beautiful 21' Power Wagon :) Thanks guys, good show
Ford is the last American truck manufacturer. Every Ford F150 is built in US. GMC / Chevy crew cabs and engines are made in Silao, Mexico. So every crew cab Sierra and Silverado is built by Mexicans. GMC gets to sell trucks for a premium, even though they pay cheap labor.
Horseshit. The Tundra is built in America.
Yeah the lariat is like the equivalent to an SLT GMC. 2 more trims above a lariat.
The Lariat’s *price* at $80k is equivalent to a Denali though. Lol
I own a 23 Platinum, 24 Raptor and 23 Tremor (all F150s) and the Tremor rides amazing and is my favorite trim level if I only had 1 truck. The tremor is smoother than the Platinum
The Tremor rides even better than the Raptor?
That's crazy but I believe it if you have both. I have a '21 Platinum and had been interested in a Tremor as well for our second vehicle. I may have to take one for a spin and see how it feels.
Do you have the 402A?
Are the seats comfier in the raptor?
As soon as he said an $80,000 truck, I stopped watching. That is ridiculous
Have you heard about depreciation. You can buy these for high 50’s
Have to appreciate GMC for still offering a v8. In the past, i was least interested in sierras but now theyve become much more attractive.
Ford is to the f150 with the 5.0 coyote.
There is no such thing as the Big 3 anymore. Stellantis is not American as in USA, it is a Netherlands owned brand.
Italian
Also GM is Chinese government motors. Ford is the last real American brand
@@rayshawnrayborn6624are you a bot or a delusional MAGAt?
@@jorgedelatorre474 Italian when it was owned by Fiat. German when it was owned by Daimler Benz AG. Netherlands since 2021.
None of these trucks are American. Look at the foreign parts list on the Ford 😂.
I only considered the Tundra and F-150 and went with the F-150.
Me too. So millions of Americans over the last 76 years.
I’m actually shopping for a new truck right now. But something more simple, I don’t need a luxury truck. I’m interested in a Ram 1500 BigHorn, a Chevy Silverado 150 RST Z71 or a Ford F150 XLT.
Ford 3.5 is hard to beat
I think I’d take the hybrid system from the Ford, Denali interior & some of the power systems. Air suspension from Ram.
All these guys hating on reliability must not really remember the trucks they say were so great. Had a 1998 v8 obs F250. 3 transmissions and ran and drove like hell before 150k miles. My 2020 3.5 ecoboost is 4 times the truck in quality , comfort and capability, while giving me zero issues to 100k so far.
True. But paying $70k to $90k compared to $15k will increase your expectations a bit lol.
At least the fixes/replacements were somewhat reasonable between supply, price and finding a mechanic that deal with it. A transmission and/or engine failure on some of these tin cans is a potential financial disaster for people who aren't made of money.
Ford automatic transmissions back then were crap. The engines, however, would run forever. 300, 302, 351, 460 and the 7.3 Power Stroke were all legendarily reliable. The same went for Chrysler and GM engines of that era, and the Chrysler autos were crap as well. GM definitely had the most reliable autos of these three back then.
I agree I love seeing in the comments "vehicles aren't built the way they used to be" Nope you are correct!! They are safer, have more power and capabilities, more fuel efficient, more comfortable and last on average 4-5 years longer than vehicles did 30 years ago. 👍
@@SoonerMikeD first new truck was 21k in 1998. Last new truck was 41k in 2021. I get the lowest trim with heavy duty tow package and bigger motor. I don’t buy all the fancy crap that raises the price. So I guess if you have to be fancy then complain away. Otherwise it wasn’t bad. Yes, The last 3 years saw huge increases due to inflation. I’d wouldn’t buy any truck for a few years unless you can find a sale. My brother just got 12k off on a new 150. So prices are getting better.
Love the video. I wish you guys would talk about the the tech problems(like the Fords with all the updates you have to do and the Rams air ride sometimes sticking and both trucks that will just kill power in the middle of nowhere) not saying they all do those things, all the time but which do you think will be more reliable etc.
the ford with the 5.0 is the only one i'd buy . if you want the most powerful V8 (most reliable) with the other 2 brands you need to spend $63k+ to option for it . ford will give it on second trim level
34:30 A Duramax 3.0L Diesel hybrid obviously with the high power outlets, and with Fords interior, and exterior, with Rams Usb outlets, wireless phone charger holder, and HDMI video player.
Serious question. I subscribe to several different car channels and have watched many different car shows on tv over the years. Why does everyone always do comparisons on top-of-line models and not the middle of the road “normal everyday” models that the average truck buyer is actually looking for?
Serious answer, because people say they want to see reviews of affordable trucks but when we publish one….no one watches it. 🤔
The people who want low spec or middle of the road models are in a minority these days. Trucks are not what they once we're nor is the demographic that buys them. Fact is, most truck buyers these days want top end models so they can use it as a luxury family vehicle.
@@TFLtalk now, while I understand that, and maybe it’s just the area of the country I live in (Southeastern US), in my observation, the vast majority of truck owners drive and buy middle of the road models. I live about 30 miles outside a very affluent city in a pretty affluent area and while there are some top of the line models, most are middle of the road, working man trucks.
@@TFLtalk also… thank you for your reply.
@@TFLtalk😂 good answer
Generally most drivers tend to drive 5 to 10 miles over the speed limit in most vehicles so they really don't care about exact mpg it seems unless they are forced to drive the speed limit in case of employment
Nathen Ford has adaptive suspension in the King Ranch and Platinum for a better ride, you cannot comparing a mid grade truck on ride is a little unfair to the top range of the other brands. You can also get bigger beds in both the Chevy and Ford too. Like the review it would have been better if Ford had sent you the Platinum or Platinum plus.
You mentioned that Ford has refined the Hybrid for 2024, or at least it seemed implied, however you didn’t get into what refinements those were. Can you expand on that?
GM is making another V8. I'd be surprised of there isn't a hybrid V8 truck when it comes out. I'll be surprised if you can get it without being hybrid.
I’m opposite of most truck shoppers, I don’t care for all the do dads and shiny trinkets. When I’m buying a truck I’m buying a tool for a purpose not a fashion accessory to match my wife’s purse.
Why do trucks have to be a tool for a purpose? I’m a tradesman and when I hear that It makes no sense to me.
With that logic buying a Porsche GT3 means you must be a race car driver that tracks it daily. Or buying a jeep wrangler means you must be an off road enthusiast. Come on man!
@@22killakush22bro I’m 6’9 I need a truck for comfort I wish I could get a car it’s not all about work these guys tripping
I like your comment… it’s funny…. But you are correct…. I f want a luxury ride… I buy a car…. If I want something to carry my s$&t, hunt and fish… I buy a truck.
Gucci Gang!
I'd get a normally aspirated 5l F150 Tremor.
Ram has had the smoothest ride and nicest interior since 2019 but the new 6 cylinder is a big disappointment. No serious truck buyer would consider a Tundra to begin with so it wasn't needed for this.
Drive the new 6. Certainly NOT a disappointment 💪
I agree on new Tundras. Co worker bought one 8 months ago and it’s just not refined at all. Cheap plastic everywhere and it looks like his is going to have to have engine replaced. Very rough shifting transmission to. He wants to trade it on a new F150 but dealers don’t want it knowing engine is going bad, he is stuck and not a happy camper. Toyota use to be unbeatable but those days are gone.
Not sure why they keep calling the Ram a new generation, it is just a refresh of the 5th gen that also included a new powertrain.
I’m a Ford guy. I recently drove my son in law’s 2023 GMC 1500 with the 3.0 diesel. I drove over 5k, Fairbanks Alaska to Kentucky. That drivetrain absolutely blew me away. I wonder if it would smoke a 5.3 0-60. Not on the top end though. I’m t was quiet, smooth and the fuel mileage was unbelievable. If I bought a new truck, it just might steal me away from Ford.
Selling his Powerboost was a good business decision (he made more money by producing videos on a new first year truck), but a terrible quality of life and personal decision as that Powerboost was perfect for his needs and offered at a price he will never get close to again.
My favorite truck is a 1972 Chevy K10 Super Cheyenne.
Booyah 👊🏽 😁 👍🏽 🇺🇸
Too darn expensive
He says "Pro4X" But he **means** FX4...
You would think Andre would’ve caught that having owned an FX4
For the price these cost I want a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty. Guarantee it won’t break down for 30 years and I’ll take a mortgage out for it.
I ve got my first f150 raptor a few weeks ago and I did not even consider any of other brand's truck actually
The Ram truck is no longer an American brand but instead a foreign truck(European but built in America), like the Toyota, Nissan, and Honda(Japanese but built in America), and it should be treated as such.
I like the Ford hybrid system but their prices are just insane and the Ford chime is the most annoying sound in any vehicle. Not to mention all of the recent issues they're having. If I were looking for a half ton the Silverado LT with any of the drivetrains but preferably the BabyMax is the best value these days. As much as I like an inline 6 RAMs prices are insane for their low capability.
Ram really has to do a redesign if they want that kind of money. Ford and GM will be 1a and 1b in my opinion
RAM air suspension = no sale, never again
So let me understand this. The Ram truck is still considered "All American Big Three" even though the company is owned by Stellantis, a French/Italian group. Toyota should be part of this and based on your selections, I have just viewed my last TFL truck video.
Easy does it.
I have trust issues I only like Toyota and Ford ..... totally Bias
This Samoa Samoa we wont to see small pickups drag race?
The ride, brakes. 0 to 60mph times quitest cabs? Fuel MPG? Please John
The Perfect truck for me would be the FORD Power boost but with the 3.0L diesel ⛽ not the 3.5 Ecoboost. It may not be as fast but the reliability and longevity of the diesel runs circles around the maybe not so reliable Echo boost gas.
Bahaha! U obviously don't know much about that diesel. Stay away, it's junk!
Not apples to apples... ford platinum or king ranch... seats are super nice.. agreed on gmc seats it's what keeps me away from it.. also I Ram I can't get passed the vertical iPad otherwise I'd seriously consider one
I always look forward to your tests, but to compare the Ram & GMC to Fords hybrids systm is not fair. I know it is hard to get all 3 the same, but at least get the same tires , the same axel ratios Etc, close to the same price. That would make for a more apples to apples test. I watched another youtube chanell. This guy had 4 fords, & posted all there epa mileage, Then took each truck & drove each one on the same loop & then posted the real mieage compared to the EPA. Very interesting. That is what i want to see..
All three have their fans all three have their detractors it’s Personal choice and they’re all gonna be pretty close. I’m a ram guy because I think it is comfortable. It rides better but I think it’s a better work truck at Halls more and Silverado Scott fans, GMC engine choices are better so it’s a preference thing.
I actually prefer feeling like I’m in a truck, not a car with a truck body
Then get a 1 ton, nice harsh ride with poor handling.
Maybe your right😮
Do the super duties have cylinder deactivation? I’m already thinking what my next traditional truck will be after I am ready to upgrade from my 23 Titan.
@@corydegree8531no they do not. They are not bound by the same rules because they are considered commercial vehicles.
@Bruhwhatthehellbruh both GM and Ford have cylinder deactivation in 3/4 ton and up gas engines Ford started it with the 7.3 but not the 6.2 and GM first yr is the 6.6 gas.
These trucks are all headed to the 30% off shelf. Do your homework… never pay msrp. Find a $70k truck and buy it for $49k.
I just seen some of these with the pOwer outlets in NJ
The F-150 should be a Platinum to be compared with the Denali and limited
They said it has all the upgrades making it comparable to the platinum
The grills on the F150 and GM are ugly, too much bling...
Ram isn't American, it is owned by European Stellantis!
And GM went bankrupt a couple of times and was bailed out with taxpayers money. Ford 100%!
Saic gmc owns 50% of gmc. Saic is china
Great Video Fellows.
Awesome comparison review guys, Huge fan. I drive Ford trucks, but like all three you are showing us. Thank you.
I’ve really never been an F.150 fan but can’t argue the usefulness of that power on board tech.
Ram 🐏 Turbocharger is the best option, more powerful for towing.
There’s only 2 American gas trucks. Chevy/gmc or ford. Dodge is not American and hasn’t been for over 10 years. 2013 fiat owns them now stellantis owns them and they’re from Netherlands
Chevy made in Mexico. Even Toyota makes in US
My dream truck is a CYBRTRK,,Beast if possible ., yeah it looks like an Origami , but that's part of life with the best truck that breaks all the norms, it also outsold the Ford Lightning this Qtr.and will outsell all BEVs from legacy auto and Rivian for 2024,Yes " Ugly" sells.
Sierra Denali is beautiful. My choice all of the way - best riding/looking, tech, V8. Easiest decision ever.
That V8 has tons of problems.
Lol. The GEN3/GEN4 Coyote in the F150 blows the L86/L87 GEN5 6.2L out of the water in the 1/2 tons. The 6.2's aren't close to being as easy, cheap, rewarding, or potent to mod as the 18+ 5L trucks. If you want to argue a 6.2L with a ported head, and aftermarket cam setup, then okay then it could compete in the N/A arena, but do you really want to buy a $70K+ dollar crewcab truck to then spend probably between $6K-$7K in getting the heads ported, getting a big aftermarket cam, a DOD delete kit, and the supporting fuel system, and exhaust mods that would be needed to run with a tuned on E85/bolton, 5L truck? For that $ you can get add a blower to the 5L and put down more power than a stock L87 will safely handle.
And yes I own both a 3.5L/10R80 truck (wifey's truck) and a 5L/10R80 truck, but I also used to own a 19 Camaro 1SS 1LE, and understand the GEN5 SBC pretty well. I would still own that car, but a semi ran into me and it was totaled out.

You guys do a great job! If Nathan would not swear it would be better still. There are some things you guys either missed or are not aware of. Ford F150 Platinum Plus offers suspension dampening. You tried to say the Lariat is the best ride quality. Try the Ford with dampening, it is great. Also you said the Lariat was $80K, which is not correct either. You were not comparing the same price levels of vehicles. You mentioned the three trucks were American trucks! Very false. Ram is a foreign owned company from the Netherlands. The US taxpayers bailed out Dodge two times and now they are NOT a US company. PLEASE do this comprehensive comparison again when you get the Platinum Plus 2025 truck, I look forward to your thoughts. Thank you.

I wonder if the outlet on the F150 could power a Traeger Ironwood pellet smoker cooking a brisket?
probably
That’s been apparent in their latest ads
Not a Fan of the Ram for various reasons. The Ford I think is the most American since all their trucks are assembled in America unlike GM trucks. But I do like the 6.2l in the GMC.

Honda Ridgeline isn't a real truck, Cybertruck is total garbage build quality and an embarrassment to be called made in USA, and Toyota Tundra has a flawed engine. Ford is always looking into innovation and I think Ford really listens to its buyers in what they want.. 👌

So what we really need as consumers is Ford's tech package, Chev's LS and Dodge's styling with a price tag by Tata.
So I was lucky enough to take a full tour of the Ruhe Valley factory of the Ford outside Detroit- “ where I was Told All F-150 of every single version are made - “ about three years ago - “ Everyone should go to a a Auto factory- the scope and scale of everything is amazing- an nothing happens by accident.. Always been a GM fan but really like the RAM. would move to the RAM; however, I just can't do a gear shifter that's a rotating knob. . . that is absolutely ridiculous on a truck. Great reviews (as always) and appreciate all you guys do. thank you.
The gear shift isn’t an issue, I was skeptical before I purchased my RAM, after a short while it’s second nature.
😂😂😂 all that and they didn’t pick a truck
The question as to the trim level these reviews have. The companies know their products are being compared to the competitors. People get caught up on stupid things like plastic texture. They want you to buy loaded trucks they don’t want their entry level trucks nicked against a high end truck. What should count most is the bones of the truck. No one seems to care about that. My perfect truck was the 1980 f150 beater I bought in 1993. 2wd 300six four on the floor. Wish I could buy that new.
That f150 is my dream truck but I prefer the long bed with an xlt trim. I hate leather and sunroofs in Florida.
Man I miss my Ford F-250 with the diesel 7.3 Powerstroke! None of these trucks are even close.
If it’s which is the most luxurious it’s the Ram period. The quality, materials and attention to detail far surpasses the others.
Where does Stellantis quality, materials, or attention to detail surpass that of *gm?* Thats not true in any segment including this one.
The D. Ultimate is the only truck with laser etched topographical maps of the mountain the truck’s trim is named after. GMC is the only one with engravings in the actual leathers and decorated real metal trim too. The same topographical maps are in the Sierra’s welcome animation that includes both displays.
Where does the RAM have more attention to detail? Lol
Ram all day
