Hi Mike, great review, I think the main thing this shows and with most of your reviews and other youtubers for that matter is that strike location, delivery and your performance outways anything
This driver doesn’t seem to be living up to the hype so far....nice review MNG. Looking forward to your review of the M6 as that’s seemed to be the better of the 2 offerings.
I have yet to see a test of the M5 and M6 where anyone has picked up much if any ball speed. It seems the manufacturers can claim whatever they want and there is no way to actually prove if their new "tech" works or not. This video proves that strike has more effect than all the "tech" that can be made up. Strike will always override the club design.
Thank you for an informative review. It seems that the tech story claim is a bit of hyperbole. But the accuracy is impressive considering you maybe weren't striking at your best this time. I'm going to stick with my Callaway RAZR Fit for the time being. Still a fab driver after all these years.
Of the new TM offerings, the Draw M6 would probably be the option that would suit most golfers, yet it is the only one that I haven't seen tested yet. I find that an odd omission from TH?
I tried m6 draw thinking it would fit me better along with f9 but ended up with cally flash sub zero. Cally much better performance for me i have epic currently and flash blows it out of the water.
@@darrenbell6376 Interesting and good luck👍 with your new driver. The low spin of the sub-zero would scare me, at my age I need all the help that spin can offer.
I'm 50 yrs old and have always produced tons of spin with the driver over 3000rpm but this epic flash sub got me around 2200-2400rpm and picked up extra yards with great accuracy on the fitting range. Just hope i can take it out to the course, Thanks for the reply
As an arthritic pensioner with a slow swing speed, I need spin to keep my ball airborne and I would be nervous about how forgiving a low spin driver was on my mishits. But if it works for you Darren that is great and I hope that you have a good season.
When you are setting your weights, the cg is the cg. Moving the weight will allow you to align the cg angle by changing dynamic loft. Do not get hung up on ball spin rate. The most distance you will get is when you align the ball center of gravity with club's center of gravity. Every driver has a slightly different cg position, based on the club dimensions. I wish the proper explanation of altering the cg is told. Moving the weights only alter the way the club's dynamic loft is changed & face rotation when struck rotating around the cg. It takes a lot of weight to move the cg 1/4 inch. That is the amount of movement it will take to make a large difference.
Shouldn't this club get better as you increase use throughout year. I can't get my head around the ball speed being lower but the club still producing good yardage. Can you explain that
Adjustable drivers cut down on the business risks of the manufacturers. No more heads with 1^ loft increments, no more bonded shafts of various flexes. We pay too big a premium for the bells and whistles that save the manufacturers money.
I am a big fan of Mike's and watch most of his content. The issue we're getting into is taking 5 swings with a driver, hitting it all over the face and expecting a solid evaluation of a product. Really not fair to TM and I don't even like most TM products. If the conditions aren't right or you're not feeling up to it, don't force a review out.
@@MichaelNewtonGolf My point is really about some level of consistency. People make buying decisions based on your tests. I really appreciate your integrity and unbiased approach but, this one just struck me as inconsistent with your usual reviews.
John Webb I see where your coming from but I really hope people don’t buy purely on my results. I always encourage and promote golfers to try & be fitted before purchasing.
It was interesting what you said about "Every driver is built illegal then they inject a small amount of resin into the front screw ports to make them legal". How would you know if the resin fell out or was taken out so now the club is Illegal. Sorry this club should be banned .
Club head speed is fluctuating because you have a piece of shit stock shaft that loads and unloads inconsistently...need to get a high quality shaft that consistently performs!

Can't wait for you to try the nee Mizzy and G410
Could you test a second generation M1 vs M5 That will give us a better idea if the M5 is worth buying
I hit the m5 today as was quite impressed, I was not a big fan of the m3 , but really like the new M5
Good honest review Mike.
Why not move the weights and see what happens? Seems silly not to use the components available with the M5

No big gains in Ball speed, definitely not compared to Epic Flash. Nevertheless, nice review !
its the slowest tm bs

Good launch and spin can still create distance even tho speed isn’t the highest
Thanks. Subbed
2 mph down in clubspeed compared to your epic and cobra review.. not much you can do.. but the numbers would probably be very close

Is that not real testing? Do we all feel 100% every time we tee it up.

Apparently it’s tiny amounts and obviously resin sets hard. Not sure it will fall out
Michael clearly your body is revolting as it only wants to hit the Cobra!
good storey its not the fasted
First viewer, like and in the comments ! Great content Michael!
Not sure mike. You hit some poor shots on this vid. I’m not sure results are that helpful really
haha f9 cobra much longer tm bs
