I feel like a lot of people haven’t even tested the F9 yet and are already claiming it is the best driver out on the market solely based on Rick’s review. I’ve tested the speedback 3 times on 3 different days and don’t get me wrong, it’s great but, it’s not as long, consistent or accurate as my TS2 and the Flash is definitely the longest I’ve personally tested all year. So yeah, to each their own. With that being said, I’d still love to see you test it. The M5 is calling my name ughhhhhh I LOVE the look of it. Great video James.
I did buy m5 for my 12 yo sons.. using japan spec.. its awesome.. i can play around with the driver.. needed less or higher spin.. this give us more options depend on the course during tour.. love m5
For season 2021 I got an M5 Tour (435 CC) with an 44.75" Proforce Axivcore Tour Black 69-series x-stiff shaft. A killer combo. Put the front weight slightly back from forward (2 cm) and the back weight to slightly draw.
Such an interesting video and not at the results I was expecting! I have to tell you, if hitting fairways was your goal this wouldn’t be close. M6 all the way. I know you hit a lot of fairways though and greater distance is what you’re actually after. In that case the M5 is the clear answer for you. I’m sticking with my TS3 for now as it gave me exactly the right blend of distance and forgiveness that i’d been looking for. It beat the M3 in my testing. I’d love to see 2 different head to heads from you! 1) H2H between the M3 and M5 2) H2H between TS3 and M5 I really enjoyed this video! Keep me coming!
Hi James, I really enjoy your videos and reviews (all the way down in South Africa), what I would be really interested to see, is a comparison between the M5 or M6 and the older Taylormade drivers. Reason why I say this, is that I am still using a 2007 Burner, averaging +-300 yards and hitting 70% + fairways , and would be very interested to see how the new drivers compare.
Love the videos. Lots of data to absorb. Not every video fits every desire but taken as a whole you are providing a lot of information that can help us make decisions on which clubs to consider. Also like the tips videos to help us improve our game. Keep them coming. Great job.
You're killing me James. I play the M4 and you're trying to get me to move up to the M6. I'm kidding of course, but darn it, you make it hard to resist. Thanks, another great video.
Great video James. Really enjoyed it. After all those shots and all that data it comes down to aesthetics. That’s as valid a reason as any for buying a club when the gains from modern technology are marginal at best.
Love these head to heads and I can’t wait to see you take them out on to the course Looking forward to seeing you test the new cobra and Mizuno drivers
Of the M5 & M6 I would choose the M6 (keep it in the fairway), but if I was looking to replace my G400Max (which I'm not) I would choose the Cobra F9 and with the money I saved I would also buy a new Fairway wood!
Well done. Kinda makes you wonder why the speed accelerator was stuck outside the head. With all of the technology these days they should have been able to hide that or blend it in better. Cheers
When you fit the M5 (the one you preferred), move the weights, correct shaft, just totally optimised it to you and your swing I wonder how it would go for you? That review was an 'off the rack' comparison and something you'd likely never do. Or, would advise any of us to do? How about fitting the M5, Flash, T'S, F9 etc all up against each other (like we would when testing to buy) and see which one works out best, for you. I understand that everyone is different but that would give you a definitive driver. It's not all about length... fairways hit, playability and ease of use will all come into play. Also, you could do the exact same test/comparison/process for Mark? 👍
Id like to see these against the 2016 M2 which is commonly thought of as the best driver Taylormade have brought out in recent years. 2017 versions did not come close imho. How does m5/m6 stack up against it ? Distance/dispersion/ spin etc.
Neither, if I had to I'd get an m3 Driver, cheaper and Hardly any difference, if I had a choice though it would be the cobra f9 it's insanely nice in white!
Hi James TM bring out so many clubs ,if they are better than the previous clubs ,they must have produced some pretty poor items previously .I like your site ,but I would like to see other manufactures featured .
that M6 looks quite a lot like the original M2 IMO... and that's not a bad thing , loved that M2, event though I do not like TM as a brand to be honest
Its going well thanks James! Keeping that posture in place as best I can through the whole swing. Helped yesterday, with the drill was striking the ball a lot more consistently on the course. Really liking the first Online lesson!
A choice of style over substance, why would you go with a driver that is less consistent? 2 yards longer on the longest drive, but you would be taking 3 off the tee. Personally I’m excited to test the cobra F9, it looks amazing and some reviewers are touting it as the best overall driver of 2019, bearing in mind it £150 cheaper than the TM.
@@JamesRobinsonGolf I agree, you need to want to pull a club from your bag and give it a good rip. Has it gone in the bag or are you sticking with the TS3?
Christopher Keeler massive few weeks of testing out in Dubai now but not ruled anything out. Tried one that’s still under embargo last night and feel superb
Can you make a video comparing head to head the M1 2017 vs the M5 2019 driver? I'm using an M2 2017 driver right now and what to upgrade to an adjustable driver (M! 2017, M3 or M5).
The real question is would you advise a customer the same way? Exact same numbers, yet significantly improve consistency and dispersion. How do you not got M6? Could ego be creeping into the decision at all? Also, and i know this wouldn't matter for you personally, but doesn't the M6 cost a little less?
@@JamesRobinsonGolf I totally understand the ability comment, but isnt it about results? Generally speaking the M5 would be aimed at the better player, one that you would fit into, but if yardage is equal and dispersion is better how does the ability come into play? Guys on tour still swing M2s and they are the best out there. Either way I suppose it doesnt matter. I really enjoy your videos and your content, the M5 choice just surprised me. Cheers.
Price!!!!!! Need to add that as a factor to your videos. 4 year old driver - tried a couple of new makes last year - 4 yard difference yet cost was close to £500. Keep in mind who you are doing these videos for James. Like the channel but be realistic mate.
What’s unrealistic about testing something head to head? You all know the price. I’m not trying to sell them to you, I’m trying to give honest opinions.
Missing the point. By doing this comparison you are automatically promoting it as a quality product, which it no doubt is. It's a free advert for TM or any other company - well not free as they are providing clubs for you. If comparing any clubs you tubers should also consider their subscribers and consider price as a factor. Simply by doing video you are advertising it. Up to you what your videos are about though.
I want to know is it going in your bag or not And are you paying for these drivers if you put them in your bag if it’s choosing one just because you can and it’s not costing you money is different to changing from your Titleist driver if you have to pay for it
James Robinson Golf The difference is if you have just bought a new one is it really worth upgrading last year I bought myself a Rogue it’s going pretty well but I also play P790 so I love the idea of the new tailor-made drivers I’m scared if I try them that I really want one and therefore I have wasted my money
What happens if the injected gel degrades, fragments or moves over time? Will these clubs become non conforming? I’ve asked TaylorMade and they haven’t been able to tell me what long term testing they have done on the gel.
Robert Graham they wouldn’t be able to tell if you did it right. The one concern, from a technical standpoint would be if it changed the sound on impact. All that said, golf is a game played on the honor system. As tempting as it would be to try it I know I’d never actually do it. I’m one of those guys who never touches the ball and calls every penalty on himself. No mulligans either.
also, you probably won't answer, but I have a quick transition like you do, but only swing around 104-108. Weird thing is my total distance is longer avg. 300 with around 260 carry, low launch (9*) and optimal spin 2200-2400 spin with the Hazardous. Guess I'm hitting low on the face, just not sure which direction to go in. Currently in a 917 d3, which I'm leaving tons on the table. Any thoughts would be great, thanks from Austin, TX!
M6 looks loads better and you hit straighter and just as long. Its a no brainer
I feel like a lot of people haven’t even tested the F9 yet and are already claiming it is the best driver out on the market solely based on Rick’s review. James:
You’re swing is looking really good! Your lesson really paid off!
Thanks! Hopefully we will be saying the same for you!
James Robinson Golf if not it won’t be your fault. My swing already feels really different! Hopefully it’ll show up in the videos I post.
I did buy m5 for my 12 yo sons.. using japan spec.. its awesome.. i can play around with the driver.. needed less or higher spin.. this give us more options depend on the course during tour.. love m5

I think the M6 looks like a more expensive version of cobra f9 on the bottom. Great video James
Just picked up the M6, hoping it's not fake fairly cheap on eBay and in great nick. Few balls at the range tonight and it's looking promising!
I’m with the other subs here...what to see an on course vs your TS3. I’m super stoked still for your review on new Ping stuff.
It’s coming!!!

Great video James. Really enjoyed it. After all those shots and all that data it comes down to aesthetics. That’s as valid a reason as any for buying a club when the gains from modern technology are marginal at best.
I think your opinion may change to the m6 when you start playing all your 2nd shots from the rough.
Love these head to heads and I can’t wait to see you take them out on to the course
Looking forward to seeing you test the new cobra and Mizuno drivers
Soon mate! :)
great vid! would nice to have a comparison between M1, M2,M3,M4, M5 and M6! 😁

Managed to win an m6 driver and a custom set of m6 irons... still working abroad... not even seen them yet!!
The looks are important but if one is consistently going down the middle of the fairway that’s hard to beat
I’d like to see against the original M1 & M2.....see how far they have come or not...!
Well done. Kinda makes you wonder why the speed accelerator was stuck outside the head. With all of the technology these days they should have been able to hide that or blend it in better. Cheers
Wow, I was sure you would pick the m6 due to dispersion...more fairways more birdies. Can’t wait for the ping G comairisons!
Having had an m1 and now an m3. I would probably pick the m5.

Eyup Golf I agree. I have the M3 with the V2 shaft and it’s the best driver I’ve ever owned
Paul Brunt I have a g20 with a stiff fujikura shaft, may need to upgrade but I’ll do my videos fine for now
@BA MikeFoxtrot think a lot of people are, some of the guys on my channel are looking at it too
Let's do it James, Cobra F9 and 300 yards!!! And let's do it now.
I’d rather have the M6. I don’t like continually tinkering with settings options. Just wanna grip it and rip it and make my own swing adjustments.
Come on James on course review put these up against ts3 you no were waiting for it🏌🏽🏌🏽🏌🏽🏌🏽🏌🏽
Hey, it's cold out there.
Let's wait and see the new Ping drivers!
110%
Would love to see you review the Taylormade M 6 D type driver and also the wood. I am very curious about those.
Hi James TM bring out so many clubs ,if they are better than the previous clubs ,they must have produced some pretty poor items previously .I like your site ,but I would like to see other manufactures featured .
Not being funny Jeffrey but I’ve covered pretty much every manufacturer under the sun on this channel. And will continue to do so
great video James .....i'd like to see them go up against the f9 I have hit the cobra f9 nice driver
Hi James, great review. Could you please test the M5 against last years model to see what improvement if any exists?
Love your passion, go get that 300 yarder!!
One day!!!!!
I wonder what club that will be,, bring on cobra🤔🤔🤔🤗🤗
Compare them with your Titleist driver
that M6 looks quite a lot like the original M2 IMO... and that's not a bad thing , loved that M2, event though I do not like TM as a brand to be honest
Great looking clubs, compare the m3 with the m5! I just bought the m3 and now I’m wondering 🧐🤔
I would love to see the new Cobra Speed back driver vs the M6. They both have that similar weighting system, could be an interesting one.
How’s the practice going Kyle? :)

Its seems like the dispersion should have been the deciding factor. It looked like you hit the M6 straighter.

Please compare these to the TS2 and TS3
compare with the Calloway Rogue, then the new Epic
Could you do a review of the Cobra F9 as the other RUclipsrs seem to love it compared to the M5/M6 and Epic Flash models. Cheers 😁
hi James are you going to test new clubs (drivers) or have you done so for slow swinging people
Cobra f9 white and black version
Do you think the M5/M6 line is better then the hallway Epic Flash line?
The real question is would you advise a customer the same way? Exact same numbers, yet significantly improve consistency and dispersion. How do you not got M6? Could ego be creeping into the decision at all? Also, and i know this wouldn't matter for you personally, but doesn't the M6 cost a little less?
It depends entirely on their level mate and I’m not sure on the price I’ll get back to you
@@JamesRobinsonGolf I totally understand the ability comment, but isnt it about results? Generally speaking the M5 would be aimed at the better player, one that you would fit into, but if yardage is equal and dispersion is better how does the ability come into play?

Will do the F9 driver review soon pls n thank you
Soon as I get it!
As some one thats works for a undertaker its m6 all day speed inurscha ,, its a coffin
Song in the intro mate? Great content, cheers
Are you going to be testing the new cobra driver speed farce ( HA ha ) driver
TS3 is shaking in its boxing glove!
😂
James Robinson, I’d pick the M5, the M6 looks terrible (esthetic)

Already filmed mate just waiting on embargo :)
I'd get the 2017 M2.
Eyup James could u try testing M5 with weights forward just 2c difference in spin 👍🏌🏿🏌🏿😃
Funny you should say this Craig! Off to Emirates to do that very video now! Haha
Very nice 👍 hear the new cobra F9 driver is worth a look enjoy your trip mate 🏌🏿👍😃
M5 or M6?........
F9 I think
What happens if the injected gel degrades, fragments or moves over time? Will these clubs become non conforming?
I’ve asked TaylorMade and they haven’t been able to tell me what long term testing they have done on the gel.
Pretty scary that, they should be able to replicate long term testing in a lab...
Haven’t been able to or haven’t replied?
I had a thought remove the speed foam gel. How are they going to know and check the club on a monthly medal

Cobra F9!
awaiting your opinion to F9 speedback....
Can you test the m5 against the m1. Id like to see if there is a massive difference
I just got me an m5 for Christmas for only $180
M5 v epic flash sz v cobra f9 video coming??
Yes mate!

Compare to M3 & M4 please.
Did that months and months ago mate
Compare f9 cobra
What's your swing speed?
D V - it’s in the videos most of the time - James is in the 105-110 range so very decent
How does your driver only roll out 5 yards?
Launch angles and landing angles I guess mate
James Robinson Golf that’s so nutty haha. Figured you would at least get 15+. Love the videos man.
