Thanks for the very useful review! But for those of us struggling to break 100, it would help if one of your test team could be a 24-30 handicap.

I have enjoyed both your 5 golfers test using different tester with differing handicap and ball speeds. I like that you show their current driver stats vs the test club. I would like to see you with your gamer vs the test driver and if you can find someone that can carry the ball over 275 yards or longer would be great.

This is a superb way to do any Golfclub review. This review & comparison gave me confidence in purchasing this club even though i bought the D Type Draw option. Please keep doing your club reviews in this manner as it is just so helpful to all players of far different H'cap & abilities.
    Great job & many thanks.

Love this format Andy thank you for setting up these testing forums, they are far more useful for club golfers. So far IMO the M6 is disappointing when compared the Mizuno ST190 and Cobra F9, but it's great to see how it performs for fellow club Golfers

Well I just came back from the golf course. I tested out my new M 6 Type D driver. I had the red senior flex shaft put on it too. Now I don't have lots of swing speed and I haven't come close to 200 yards in some time. However my first shot went 211 yards, chipped it on the green and putted in the hole for a birdie. I was in heaven. Then I hit another over 200 yards. Funny thing is it didn't feel like I really put a lot of a charge into it either. My swing speed is only 75 to 85. Thanks for the reviews on this one Andy. This made my weekend. Spider Dubiel

This is an excellent review. So many good facets of it. I did pick one up today Andy. M 6 Type D with a senior shaft. Not a lot of swing speed here but it looked and felt good when I tried it out at my fitters . Heading out to the golf course shortly for some real testing ! :) Again, thanks for an awesome multifaceted review!!! Some seriously great work on your part. Peace and blessings. Spider

Real golfers giving real reviews to likeminded golfers....it’s the way it should be done. After all, as TAGERS we are certainly going to be peppering the whole club face and not just middling the lot.
Looking forward to the next one...👍🏼

Steve appears to massively benefit from a driver that helps reduce the Fades - this is the 2nd video I've seen that makes me believe this driver is more Draw biassed
Andy also had more Draws - again, not a coincidence I think
Walter - also more Draws - given his swing speed & spin he produced, he needed to up the loft - it would then for sure have given him more carry
Brian - seems to hit them about the same left/right but maybe also tiny bit less right given his added distance with the M6 - but that Callaway Rogue is also Draw biassed imo - as it's not a Subzero version
Louis - his 2253 spin M3 comes off the legendary 2200 spinning 2016 M2 and is therefore dialled in far better for his speed / delivery - a similarly dialled in M5 would be a better test for him. Surprisingly, or maybe not as he was by far the best golfer, the M6 was not more Draw biassed than his M3
    All in, my guess is:
    1) M6 like a lot of modern drivers, is very slightly more Draw biassed than older drivers = better for average golfer
    2) with the above said, the 13 degree launch & 2300-2500 spin zone is absolutely optimal for most average golfers - and this driver gets average golfers closer to those numbers
Really GREAT video! - and your summary at the end of getting everyone fit individually with the right head / shaft / loft / lie setup is 100% correct

Great format, it really gives a full picture of what the club would be like in a wide range of swing speeds and swing styles. Someone needs to give Walter some lessons because there is no way he can get any distance with spin rates that low - I am guessing that either his drives look like top spin tennis shots or they are in danger of knee capping someone 100 yards out.
Overall M6 looks a very impressive club but it needs to match the price of the Cobra

I agree that the price for new clubs is just ludicrous right now. We should all boycott buying new clubs and just stick with last months (oops I mean last years) model. Let’s face it, last years model was the dogs dangly bits approx 40 weeks ago.

Keep your cash, 1 to 2% gain at best each year.
Swing and strike is king, if you ain't hitting it well no driver is going to help.
Yoga, increased flexibility, health and general fitness with some lessons would get you so much more value than 500 squid on these.

  • @gerrygirvan696
    @gerrygirvan696 5 лет назад +2

The "gains" with any new driver are NOT worth the extra cost. None of the distances and dispersions in this test would make much difference to a players score. Spend your money on lessons, spend your time practicing short game and putting.
