Dont get me wrong I learned how to be submerged at a young age and stay there for as long as possible it wasn't till I was 11 till I learned how to stay a float. And now I'm a stronger swimmer then a good amount of people I know or have met

To the people complaining about johns weight or model in rdr2: the game has a weight system where you can get over or underweight, or just right depending on how much you eat, so this guy probably doesn’t eat enough and that’s probably the root of your problem.

Kinda funny how guns that were total garbage in the first one are now okay but guns that were epic in the first one have been nerfed quite a bit Major nerf victims are semi auto pistol, mauser pistol, carcano rifle, bolt action rifle and dynamite. While bolt action and carcano are fine in rdr2 they are not as powerful as in the first one. In the second one they balanced guns with damage, fire rate and ammo capacity while in the first one they didn't care about balance. In second one guns that fire faster have lower damage. In the first one most high fire rate guns also had highest damage.

Of Course bro me too. All the people in the comments fighting over which game is better. I have played both games, I played rdr1 for 4 years and rdr2 for 3 and rdr1 still does things better with more care. Such as in rdr1 a sheriff will take the time to actually place a new bounty poster on the wall each time you complete one. He also walks up to you and thanks you for doing his bounty and gives you're reward. Rdr2 there are lazy sheriffs who just sit there and don't even hand you the reward but it magically appears in your cash section at the top of the screen and bounties just appear on the wall, no one puts them up. I love both rdrs and had good times with them but for me overall I always come back to rdr1.
The reason why the mouser pistol is so liked in the 1st game is because it's fully automatic almost giving you an unfair advantage compared to the enemies
Rockstar kinda got the reloading mechanics wrong with the Schofield. It should be as simple as opening revolver, loading fresh rounds, and closing the revolver all in one fluid motion. It's what made the gun a favorite among calvary soldiers. It was a gun that could fired and easily reloaded while on a horse.

All you had to do is put fresh rounds in, close it up, and you're good to go again. It had the fastest reloading time of any firearm at the time. Until magazine fed pistols were invented. Not that the colt 45 single action army revolver wasn't slow to reload. It was just a little awkward to do on horseback, especially when you're being shot at. The schofield's design allowed the rider to reload, while maintaining control of the horse. If you look at modern day Smith & Wesson guns. They're all kinda modeled after the schofield revolver.
In game the characters flip the gun closed, if you did that in real life. You'd wear out the latch that holds the gun closed. In real life you'd simply bump the barrel against your thigh while on horseback to close it. When not horseback, just manually close it. They got the overall idea right, it's just flipping the gun open and closed is the only problem. It's same reason why you spin the cylinder while closing it, on modern revolvers. You'll end up breaking the latch spring if you do too often.

Don't forget the fact that most weapons in rdr2 can be upgraded to have a longer barrel but in rdr1 gun customization wasnt a thing so guns had longer barrels form the start.
It light things one fire in rdr1, i dought animations has too much of a effect on damage and effectiveness, it is an old game so subtle movements wasnt as much of an option (in old games movement was key, even if it was inaccurate)

Both of these games have *I N S A N E* reload speeds. Takes John like 3 seconds to reload 6 rounds into a SAA irl I tried it on a BB gun (with rounds) I found in my garage in a box and it took like 20 seconds to eject each round and reload, but jeeeeeeeeez these guys would be legends if they were real and could pull it off.

I like the bolt action Rifle sound and reload animation in Red Dead Redemption 1 than 2 because in the first game it has that bombastic sound and quick reload
Best gun in rdr1 imo. Good against people and for hunting since it dealt a lot of damage and had quite fast fire rate despite it being bolt action. In second one i prefer springfield for hunting because of the superior damage. And repeaters against people since bolt action rifle fire rate was slowed down.
The reload animation for the Krag-Jorgensen rifle (Bolt-Action Rifle) in Red Dead Redemption 1 is not realistic, the real one can't be loaded using stripper clips the rounds have to be loaded individually. I wish the M1903 Springfield rifle was in the game, you can load rounds into it using stripper clips or individually.
Honestly I hate the double- action revolver in Rdr2. It’s just the noise it makes when you shoot it. And when you shoot someone it doesn’t sound like it’s effective. Now guns like cattleman’s revolver I love the noise cause I can actually hear the impact of the bullet on the person shoot.
Except the part where shotgun destroys limbs in rdr2. But yeah sound wise the first onew sound more powerful. Enemies in second one can take more bullets but because sometimes they take time to bleed out.

The double action revolver in red dead redemption 1 was my go to handgun in the game once I got it the sound was satisfying and being able to quickly unload all six shots into someone was satisfying as hell

Don't forget the fact that most weapons in rdr2 can be upgraded to have a longer barrel but in rdr1 gun customization wasnt a thing so guns had longer barrels form the start.

It light things one fire in rdr1, i dought animations has too much of a effect on damage and effectiveness, it is an old game so subtle movements wasnt as much of an option (in old games movement was key, even if it was inaccurate)

That graphical difference between RDR1 and RDR2...In next 8 years games will be lifelike.
Both of these games have *I N S A N E* reload speeds. Takes John like 3 seconds to reload 6 rounds into a SAA irl I tried it on a BB gun (with rounds) I found in my garage in a box and it took like 20 seconds to eject each round and reload, but jeeeeeeeeez these guys would be legends if they were real and could pull it off.

@@karwat2577 Lasso mechanics in 2 is far better, just more to it. Pick up dead enemies, kill dead enemies on horseback not letting them fall when you do, etc etc, felt more smooth too.
Rdr2 weapon skills were nerfed but it only makes sense for the continuity of johns skills between the games

Best gun in rdr1 imo. Good against people and for hunting since it dealt a lot of damage and had quite fast fire rate despite it being bolt action.
In second one i prefer springfield for hunting because of the superior damage.
And repeaters against people since bolt action rifle fire rate was slowed down.

The reload animation for the Krag-Jorgensen rifle (Bolt-Action Rifle) in Red Dead Redemption 1 is not realistic, the real one can't be loaded using stripper clips the rounds have to be loaded individually. I wish the M1903 Springfield rifle was in the game, you can load rounds into it using stripper clips or individually.

Honestly I hate the double- action revolver in Rdr2. It’s just the noise it makes when you shoot it. And when you shoot someone it doesn’t sound like it’s effective. Now guns like cattleman’s revolver I love the noise cause I can actually hear the impact of the bullet on the person shoot.

@@BosSupes actually if im correct 50.cal desert eagle is the most powerful pistol right now. 500 magnum is the most powerful revolver. Everyone hates shooting it because it hurts your hand a lot. Doesn't matter what bullet you have ib your desert eagle 500mag will win because of the sheer size of the cartrige and projectile.

I like the initial snap in rdr1, they feel louder and more real, the one in rdr2 is a bit softer and seems too exaggerated. but it misses the proper after effect. and the sounds after the shot like the echoes in the distance are better in rdr2.
For gta 6, I hope the guns sound like the ones in the movie ‘heat’.
