Kinda sad seeing how these scenes when strung together sort of loosely portray the decline of the Van Der Linde Gang. First you got Charles and Dutch raising hell to get their boy out. Then it's Hosea in Saint Denis with smooth words and some liquor. But by the end, with John, it's Abigail storming in like a one-woman army. At first the gang looks out for their own, but by the end it's the broken pieces trying to care for each other like they used to.
There would’ve been an extra jail breakout cutscene in Annesburg with Charles breaking Arthur out of jail too instead of just Hosea but it was unfortunately removed and became cut content
Its probably because they changed the cutscenes to be well thought out. Breaking someone out of jail in a town like Anneseburg wouldn't be very smart, only way out of Anneseburg is with words. Same reason why they never used violence to break you out of Saint Denis

Anything but Rockstar not wanting it there. Rockstar always delays the game release as much as possible so that it's the best, so expect GTA VI to release in 2026, but don't be sad about it.

On my first playthrough I got caught and I had no idea that was the alternate version and you were suppose to escape, but I agree that the alternate version fits better.
I thought that getting caught would fail the mission, like most of the missions do, and then I was worried of Lenny because he was caught and I was confused when he was in camp.

Same with the rest characters. Also just antagonize them 3 times to be more easy to get arrested, but even then Arthur pulls out his gun. But antagonizing is the best method I would say. It depends on chapters, like when Charles blows the cell with Dutch, that scene is in chapter 3, so you have to be in chapter 3, but some of them doesn't matter like the one in Saint Denis where Hosea comes with Liquor, that scene can be in chapter 2 , 3 , 4 too. Annesburg as well. So...some of the scenes requires a certain chapter to be in. Hope that helps 😊 (but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if you shoot the whole town or if you just antagonizing the sheriff, I'm sure you'll get the scenes)

You have to be in specific chapters and be careful at what missions you have available. Example: if you want to get the Valentine one where Charles blows up the cell with Dutch, YOU HAVE TO BE IN CHAPTER 3 and BE CAREFUL AT THE MISSIONS, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE AVAILABLE MISSIONS WITH DUTCH AND CHARLES IF YOU WANT TO TRIGGER THE CUTSCENE. @@RudyKafel No, if you get arrested in chapter 6 in Saint Denis or Annesburg it will simply repeat the default cutscene over and over.

Do i need to do something specific do activate those cutscenes, or is it enough that Arthur/John get arrested?
You have to be in specific chapters and be careful at what missions you have available.
Example: if you want to get the Valentine one where Charles blows up the cell with Dutch, YOU HAVE TO BE IN CHAPTER 3 and BE CAREFUL AT THE MISSIONS, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE AVAILABLE MISSIONS WITH DUTCH AND CHARLES IF YOU WANT TO TRIGGER THE CUTSCENE. LIKE: "The New South" , "Magicians for Sport" etc. LIKE YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE MISSIONS THAT INVOLVE DUTCH OR CHARLES IN IT. Hope that helps 😊
