Blockland was such an essential part of my life. Its where I discovered PC gaming, Created my screen name i've used my entire life, and started my understanding of coding that led to my computer science degree. I'm so happy someone has finally talked about it.
as someone who pre-ordered bf1, I can honestly say that while the game is incredible, imo it was at it's best on release when no one really unlocked anything yet
Real, the game was at it's best when people just had fun and used whatever instead of servers being dominated by meta weapons and ace pilots with 100 service star attack planes.

At first the game was insanely fun because people were figuring things out, messing around with different loadouts etc. You could have fun and drop alot of kills without sweating your ass off. As the game progressed the game became unplayable without using meta weapons

It also has nothing to do with unlocks (unlocks are just an annoying part, especially if you start out later) - people naturally get better over time (especially those that play more often than others), most aren't even sweating on top. As soon as a game is primarily PvP and is not something that offers a lot of fun RP options like e.g. Holdfast it'll just end up with servers being populated by high skilled folks. Unless you're playing something like CS where some admins automatically ban everyone who's better than them, but that's a whole different story as there's no chilling there to begin with. And that's precisely why SBMM exists nowadays, so tryhards can play against other tryhards and everyone can have fun (well, for as long as there's enough players to be able to properly run a SBMM system) - with the obvious drawback that it'll always try to solely match you with people on your level of skill.
Finally blockland! My BLID is 1976 :) I've made lifelong friends and flown across the globe. Learned 3d design to make addons. Hosted servers with hundreds of people. Game was gold.
Hi, I am Strynd (82190), the one with the kitty face and big farm cottage at 9:22. I did wanna correct that the boss did kill two people. Me somewhere at 40% health, and patyos at the very end of the fight. I died because I was all up in his face doing a lot of dps. He wanted me DEAD and harvested me with his railgun, lol. It was fun to show you around in the small capacity I did! I made some major renovations to my cottage if you wanna check it out, added a big garage and took out one floor of the big silo rooms.
there's something really beautiful about these small communities they're small in size but their love and passion for these games is huge and it is genuinely so heartwarming to see , its just a bunch of people keeping a game alive just by sticking around and its so sweet
G'day Rye, from PC to XBOX I have roughly 7500 hours on Battlefield 1, and I still play almost everyday since the beginning of launch. The game came out when I was only 11, however my dad purchased the game, and the xbox, for me in 2016 after my family had moved from Aus to the US. My Dad was a very busy man with his line of work, so I never really got to see him much. One thing that we did have in common was our love for modern history and we used to spend a lot of nights watching the history channel on tv (He would always fall asleep within the first 20min, I was just grateful he wasn't working). I didn't have any mates and it was very tough to make them, however every Friday evening me and Dad would play Battlefield 1 together, whether it was rerunning the Gallipoli campaign together harnessing some of that Aussie Spirit, to solving easter eggs on some of the most beautiful maps I have ever seen in my life. The game truly helped me connect with dad, and the fact that he would spare time in his very busy schedule to sit down with me and play this game every Friday evening made me feel a bit less lonely. Dad sadly isn't around anymore but I just wanted to say thank you for showcasing what a beautiful game BF1 was and still is, and how the player connects with the game through the awesome atmosphere, just as me and my dad did all those years ago. :)
This is beautiful, I never played it with my father but he was the one who secretly got it for me because I had eagerly shown him the trailer on my ipod touch weeks before 😂. It's so amazing that you have those memories, I'm sure your father is smiling up there ❤

bro seeing blockland again was a trip. it was the biggest competitor to roblox when it launched, but ultimately failed due to the paywall and low player base.
There is one game I haven't really seen _anyone_ cover in a long, long time: Skies of Icarus. You had a team of steampunk-era airships going against each other in a bout for air supremacy by having the crew of the ships be responsible for several things going on with the ship: Engineers repair, Gunners shoot things and board ships when possible, and the Captain is the only one capable of steering the ship while given the ad-hoc role of leading the crew. _Every_ airship was built different, too. One could be like a sloop, the other a Man o' War, and the third one like an ariel Galleon. Each had their unique advantages and disadvantages, and combined that with the cool maps we had that utilizes thick clouds and terrain to hide behind, you could pull off some crazy tactics. It was a very cool thing for a while, but hardly anyone remembers it.

Mr Queeba here :^) BLID 44574, played demo in 2011 and bought the game in 2013. Easily put 3500+ hours into it. Definitely one of the experiences of all time.
"The modern state of Interstellar Marines" Let me tell you something here, as someone who bought it together with a friend shortly after it came to early access (and actively tried to play it for over a month) - there never were any actual players around, we tried on almost a daily basis at that time and at best 1 or 2 other people joined a server. So it pretty much always had been that way.

I am sorry you got a sub par experience for the video, because, realisms are usually 16/32 minimum, then there is a planning phase and people play the map. I feel as if you didn't get the proper experience, and I HOPE that with enough players from this video, we maybe could get a full server for the first time in a while Hope to see some of you guys there this Saturday!
Ea not doing a season 2 of Battlefield 1 instead focusing on Battlefield 5 was a dumb decision in the long run. Also cutting support for Battlefront 2 when the game was finally getting good.
I'll have to disagree with that first part, i don't think there was much more WWI left for them to be able to put into a season 2 and working on a sequel was probably the right idea, but they should have kept the atmosphere and that authentic feeling for BFV.
To be honest, them leaving BF1 behind was a good thing for the game. The result of what could have been is shown in BFV and I'm happy they decided to make a separate game to try what they attempted to achieve
@@loztwalker5068 I must disagree with you on that, as someone who studies up on history and loved BF1, there is so much missing to Battlefield that could’ve and really should’ve been added. I think there was a lot of scrapped stuff because some maps, items, and small Easter eggs are so radical that it seems like the last 2 DLCs we’re gearing up for something big. Anyways the additions I refer to are a Serbian and/ Montenegro Campaigns where you must face off the Austro-Hungarians in the mountains to the north and the Bulgarians to the east. A campaign or a battle or two involving the Belgians, such the opening invasion with the Siege of Liège or the battle of Ypres. Another notable one is the Japanese siege of Tsingtao and invasion of German Islands in the Pacific. There’s also a notoriously missing African Theatre Campaign, as well as a Romanian battle missing. Anyways enough rambling, I really do think they messed it up.

(BLID: 1263) WOW. So crazy seeing the Block Eye Entertainment throwback. Darkstar was such a cool guy. When I was a young and fresh PC player he worked with me for days and let me make my own little movie on that channel and feature in a bunch of his. Being nearly 28 now it’s really crazy how time flies.
This is a great video. You've reminded me of a few abandoned mods from back in the day. One is Zombie Master a Half Life 2 mod where one team is human survivors and the other team is the zombie master who has an RTS view of the map and can spawn zombies and set off traps. The survivors had objectives to complete depending on the map while the zombie master tried to stop them. I played it so much back in the day. The other is DayZ Origins. It was a modification of the Arma 2 DayZ mod that extensively expanded on things and used the map Taviana. Origins had different ranks of hero and bandit depending on your actions and would unlock various things and change your player model. Tons of new vehicles, players could build houses, lots of lore, even an entire AI survivor island that was heavily defended and had some high end items needed for building certain things. I really miss both of these mods and wish they were popular again but I know that more than likely will never happen. Thank you for the video and reminding me of those great mods.

Yea the outfit look terrible to you but to explain myself: On my side I actually have a custom decal/face pack that makes my outfit have a six pack and pecs as I regularly frequent my local gym. So from my point of view I am in a pair of white shorts beating up zombies with my bare muscles with some war wounds via bloodstains! Haha!

Hey Rye, I have a game recommendation! This game isn’t very well known at all but it definitely has hit that “dead game” feeling this year. It was a Sony titled called “Concord”!
14:07 it does look like a game from 2016... games didn't look bad back then, hell, I shouldn't even say ''back then'', it feels like yesterday. Games in 2011 already looked good. It is just that games today haven't really improved the visuals that much, they just got more demanding.
My best friend and I actually starred in a few block eye entertainment videos xD. You can see our names in a behind the scenes video (Penguin Man and Penguin_Person), we're in a few of his films. There was also an airplane safety joke video he made we were in. I used to play Blockland with him all the time in middle school in 2008/2009 after introducing him to the game. When I first met him, I asked him if he had a computer, he told me he had a laptop that wouldn't boot up, so I offered to fix it, and we become fast friends from there. Unfortunately, he died in 2018, I have no idea how it happened, and I have no way to contact his brother to find out how. I've kind of felt soulless since then, life just lost all it's color.

Man, I enjoy watching videos like this simply because its not only nostalgic, but also brings a bit of awareness to games I've never heard of or just haven't tried yet. It shows the communities that are small, but still alive on games that they really love that could easily be taken down at any moment. I know the feeling of loving a game when you were younger, only to grow up and try to go back to it and unfortunately finding it gone forever. I will never forget the original ToonTown (thankfully it was brought back) as well as the Disney Infinity games that I loved to play with my nephew when he was just a child. It's sad to see games that you loved and enjoyed just be thrown away by developers, and never to be seen again. I truly hope Blockland continues to live on for many more decades. Maybe one day the developer will see that he has a dedicated community that loves the game, as well as the people sharing their sadness for the way the game is now, and bring amazing updates and revive the game once again!

Hey bro, old Quake3 player here, tabbing in any quake engine game is a big no no, little trick if you ever play a quake3 engine game again, press alt+tab and it will make the game go window mode, then if you hit the console key which is ` (the button to the left of 1 normally) then youll be able to do whatever you like. That's pretty much the only reliable way to have quake open and do other things. Hope this helps! There was another really big quake3 mod that was popular in the early 2000s called Urban Terror, not sure if you know about it or if anyone plays it anymore, but that could be worth a look at. Was a super popular mod back in the day. Was kind of like counter strike for quake. Soldier of fortune 2 was another amazing quake3 game too, though it got its own stand alone game produced by Ravenware. One of my favorite games ever made, had a really big competitive scene back in the day pretty sure that would be dead by now if the master server are still alive.

Please make a video about Due Process!!! I've been commenting about it for ages now. The game is sooooooooo good, sooo polished. You could really give this game a revival. It's basically Rainbow Six Siege, but better in my opinion. But it's really dead. It would be great if we could revive it as a community. I really wish I could play a whole round again one day... The worst part is that the game isn't even old. It just never got the attention it needed. It's a gem of a game.

I started playing Blockland back during it's open alpha stage back in '05 when i was in my early 10s (i'm 30 now 👴) and the game resembled actual LEGOs, so i'm one of the few oldest players who are still active within the community, the game, and it's modding scene, so i have the low low ID of '590' in the retail version of the game and thusly have seen the many changes and additions to the game over the years, and it's been a fun and great time overall to see this game's rise and (unfortunate) fall, as well as seeing the community's efforts that were put into many of the game's popular add-ons and gamemodes, and i'm glad that, at least in that sense, the game is still very much alive And lastly, thank you (and Sentry (Hi! 🖐😀)) for giving Blockland the attention and showcasing it deserves!
My friend and I coincidentally revisited Battlefield 1 ourselves last month. To our surprise matchmaking didn't take very long (for some game modes) and we had a good time in battle.
On Steam BF1 had 10000 average players in July, with peak players reaching 22k. And for the whole 2024 montly average hasn't dipped below 5000. Not to mention a big portion of PC players probably don't even play through Steam.
I play bf1 like once every two weeks, its got active loyal servers, everyone flocks around some 20 servers in total, although most of them are conquest, only like 3 operations servers are populated
I never expected Blockland of all things to appear here. I haven't booted up the game since 2015. I won't share my BLID here, but I was playing since 2008, with fond memories of all the builds and insane game modes my brother and I participated in. What did the game in for me was the removal of maps in favor of shadows and shaders. The Bedroom map was iconic, and Slopes was fantastic for vehicles. I remember GSF Ghost's Paradise map being a wonderful place to explore and uncover all its secrets. This video was a wonderful trip down memory lane. Thank you for covering my childhood game, and stay off the Forums.

Ive been in "dead" video game communities and its such a different feeling. Playing AvP on the xbox 360 servers when it was like 12 people total was such an indescribable experience. Those in your "chosen" faction taught you everything, and the others were sporting rivals. I played battlefront 2 ea post garbage fire when it was pretty much maintained by a couple milsims. I left that because all those i would call brothers left too. Shout out to the homies in the GAR 104th battalion. I still love you guys

Watching the Blockland part is probably the best, most fun i've had watching in this entire series, and I've never played it ! I still play Battlefield 1 to this day, and don't believe it fits with the series as I think the game is still doing very well, other than during late night for U.S servers. Still enjoyed seeing it on here though anyway !
When you was playing battlefield 1 you unlock some my memories. Being a sniper on the bridge taking people out behind the flag , one time the enemy team locked down the spawn as my team going into a tunnel they die so I went around got behind the enemy gun them all down they didn't know what hit them. there was like 11 people shooting down the tunnel.then I got shot in the back. Fun times.
Blockland looks genuinely fun and so does the 3rd game the ww2 shooter id love to play a game like that the maps alone look amazing and are so thematic.
seeing so many comments talking specifically about blockland really puts into perspective just how beloved that game is. it puts a smile on my face, but also makes me sad that the game seems to be on its last legs

Some of my best gaming experiences have been while reliving old games. Older communities are always SO much more welcoming than newer communities because the older communities actually want new players to stay. I hope these videos help add some more players to these groups to help keep them going strong!

Battlefield 1 is either one of the best multiplayer games ever or a frustrating experience, depending on where you play. If you're in Asia, good luck finding a server that isn’t run by admins who ban you just for beating them, or one that isn’t overrun by Mainland hackers who mess up the game and even DDoS the server.
I play in Asia servers and never faced the problems you mentioned. I avoid the official DICE servers and instead stuck to custom ones. They usually have strict rules like no mortars trucks, mortars, SMG08/18; and also a strict KD limit. Yeah I sometimes get kicked out for exceeding that KD limit, but it's not that much of a problem for me.
@@spinyslasher6586 prob you play in "noob&pro" and "no limit" server. But what happened if you play in "admin no limit" or "green noob server" but being a good player? Yea that server kinda a problem for me, and many of them, so i went into EU or AU server to play peacefully
@@spinyslasher6586 you cant play inside actually, and mortar truck also forbidden in those server because admin would not let people farm killing. Many of admin noob server just spectate or using Vbot to kick.
You should do more segments getting on with a guy thats in the know to show the best their little corner had to offer Its interesting to see what most games are like now but you could hardly get a real picture from just playing a bit

Blockland is crazy. So many cool memories there, even though I only joined once it was already basically dead. Prison Escape and other PVP servers are just great

RnL was such a great time back in the day. One of the maps I wish you tried had you parachuting (in first person) out of a plane onto some fields at night, then as the round progressed you would move into town.
Man.. the mention of Interstellar Marines hit different. I remember following it when I was a kid first learning how to use Unity. I game develop as a profession now so this has a special place in my heart. Thanks for covering it!
World Adrift is such game. A real masterpiece released on steam. The art style was beautiful, the progression steady and fun, the OST, OMG THE OST WAS JUST beautiful and so good. The lore deep and interesting. I played it for 30 hours and then they shut down the servers... No single player. they removed the exe via an update and never released the source code. It just died. Men I'm crying at the memories.

Hi, I am Strynd (82190), the one with the kitty face and big farm cottage at 9:22. I did wanna correct that the boss did kill two people. Me somewhere at 40% health, and patyos at the very end of the fight. I died because I was all up in his face doing a lot of dps. He wanted me DEAD and harvested me with his railgun, lol.
It was fun to show you around in the small capacity I did! I made some major renovations to my cottage if you wanna check it out, added a big garage and took out one floor of the big silo rooms.

G'day Rye, from PC to XBOX I have roughly 7500 hours on Battlefield 1, and I still play almost everyday since the beginning of launch. The game came out when I was only 11, however my dad purchased the game, and the xbox, for me in 2016 after my family had moved from Aus to the US. My Dad was a very busy man with his line of work, so I never really got to see him much. One thing that we did have in common was our love for modern history and we used to spend a lot of nights watching the history channel on tv (He would always fall asleep within the first 20min, I was just grateful he wasn't working). I didn't have any mates and it was very tough to make them, however every Friday evening me and Dad would play Battlefield 1 together, whether it was rerunning the Gallipoli campaign together harnessing some of that Aussie Spirit, to solving easter eggs on some of the most beautiful maps I have ever seen in my life. The game truly helped me connect with dad, and the fact that he would spare time in his very busy schedule to sit down with me and play this game every Friday evening made me feel a bit less lonely. Dad sadly isn't around anymore but I just wanted to say thank you for showcasing what a beautiful game BF1 was and still is, and how the player connects with the game through the awesome atmosphere, just as me and my dad did all those years ago. :)

bro seeing blockland again was a trip. it was the biggest competitor to roblox when it launched, but ultimately failed due to the paywall and low player base.
Blockland has driving physics, so it's automatically more advanced than the average Bethesda game.
There is one game I haven't really seen _anyone_ cover in a long, long time: Skies of Icarus.
You had a team of steampunk-era airships going against each other in a bout for air supremacy by having the crew of the ships be responsible for several things going on with the ship: Engineers repair, Gunners shoot things and board ships when possible, and the Captain is the only one capable of steering the ship while given the ad-hoc role of leading the crew. _Every_ airship was built different, too. One could be like a sloop, the other a Man o' War, and the third one like an ariel Galleon. Each had their unique advantages and disadvantages, and combined that with the cool maps we had that utilizes thick clouds and terrain to hide behind, you could pull off some crazy tactics.
It was a very cool thing for a while, but hardly anyone remembers it.
A true breath of fresh air to see someone not write off blockland as another no-go dead game.

Let me tell you something here, as someone who bought it together with a friend shortly after it came to early access (and actively tried to play it for over a month) - there never were any actual players around, we tried on almost a daily basis at that time and at best 1 or 2 other people joined a server.

Ea not doing a season 2 of Battlefield 1 instead focusing on Battlefield 5 was a dumb decision in the long run.
Also cutting support for Battlefront 2 when the game was finally getting good.
I'll have to disagree with that first part, i don't think there was much more WWI left for them to be able to put into a season 2 and working on a sequel was probably the right idea, but they should have kept the atmosphere and that authentic feeling for BFV.
To be honest, them leaving BF1 behind was a good thing for the game. The result of what could have been is shown in BFV and I'm happy they decided to make a separate game to try what they attempted to achieve
@@loztwalker5068 I must disagree with you on that, as someone who studies up on history and loved BF1, there is so much missing to Battlefield that could’ve and really should’ve been added. I think there was a lot of scrapped stuff because some maps, items, and small Easter eggs are so radical that it seems like the last 2 DLCs we’re gearing up for something big. Anyways the additions I refer to are a Serbian and/ Montenegro Campaigns where you must face off the Austro-Hungarians in the mountains to the north and the Bulgarians to the east. A campaign or a battle or two involving the Belgians, such the opening invasion with the Siege of Liège or the battle of Ypres. Another notable one is the Japanese siege of Tsingtao and invasion of German Islands in the Pacific. There’s also a notoriously missing African Theatre Campaign, as well as a Romanian battle missing. Anyways enough rambling, I really do think they messed it up.

When I was a young and fresh PC player he worked with me for days and let me make my own little movie on that channel and feature in a bunch of his. This is a great video. You've reminded me of a few abandoned mods from back in the day. One is Zombie Master a Half Life 2 mod where one team is human survivors and the other team is the zombie master who has an RTS view of the map and can spawn zombies and set off traps. The survivors had objectives to complete depending on the map while the zombie master tried to stop them. I played it so much back in the day.
The other is DayZ Origins. It was a modification of the Arma 2 DayZ mod that extensively expanded on things and used the map Taviana. Origins had different ranks of hero and bandit depending on your actions and would unlock various things and change your player model. Tons of new vehicles, players could build houses, lots of lore, even an entire AI survivor island that was heavily defended and had some high end items needed for building certain things. I really miss both of these mods and wish they were popular again but I know that more than likely will never happen.

My best friend and I actually starred in a few block eye entertainment videos xD. You can see our names in a behind the scenes video (Penguin Man and Penguin_Person), we're in a few of his films. There was also an airplane safety joke video he made we were in.
I used to play Blockland with him all the time in middle school in 2008/2009 after introducing him to the game. When I first met him, I asked him if he had a computer, he told me he had a laptop that wouldn't boot up, so I offered to fix it, and we become fast friends from there. Unfortunately, he died in 2018, I have no idea how it happened, and I have no way to contact his brother to find out how. I've kind of felt soulless since then, life just lost all it's color.

Man, I enjoy watching videos like this simply because its not only nostalgic, but also brings a bit of awareness to games I've never heard of or just haven't tried yet. It shows the communities that are small, but still alive on games that they really love that could easily be taken down at any moment. I know the feeling of loving a game when you were younger, only to grow up and try to go back to it and unfortunately finding it gone forever. I will never forget the original ToonTown (thankfully it was brought back) as well as the Disney Infinity games that I loved to play with my nephew when he was just a child. It's sad to see games that you loved and enjoyed just be thrown away by developers, and never to be seen again. I truly hope Blockland continues to live on for many more decades. Maybe one day the developer will see that he has a dedicated community that loves the game, as well as the people sharing their sadness for the way the game is now, and bring amazing updates and revive the game once again!

Hey bro, old Quake3 player here, tabbing in any quake engine game is a big no no, little trick if you ever play a quake3 engine game again, press alt+tab and it will make the game go window mode, then if you hit the console key which is ` (the button to the left of 1 normally) then youll be able to do whatever you like. That's pretty much the only reliable way to have quake open and do other things. Hope this helps!
There was another really big quake3 mod that was popular in the early 2000s called Urban Terror, not sure if you know about it or if anyone plays it anymore, but that could be worth a look at. Was a super popular mod back in the day. Was kind of like counter strike for quake. Soldier of fortune 2 was another amazing quake3 game too, though it got its own stand alone game produced by Ravenware. One of my favorite games ever made, had a really big competitive scene back in the day pretty sure that would be dead by now if the master server are still alive.

Please make a video about Due Process!!! I've been commenting about it for ages now. The game is sooooooooo good, sooo polished. You could really give this game a revival. It's basically Rainbow Six Siege, but better in my opinion. But it's really dead. It would be great if we could revive it as a community. I really wish I could play a whole round again one day... The worst part is that the game isn't even old. It just never got the attention it needed. It's a gem of a game.

I started playing Blockland back during it's open alpha stage back in '05 when i was in my early 10s (i'm 30 now 👴) and the game resembled actual LEGOs, so i'm one of the few oldest players who are still active within the community, the game, and it's modding scene, so i have the low low ID of '590' in the retail version of the game and thusly have seen the many changes and additions to the game over the years, and it's been a fun and great time overall to see this game's rise and (unfortunate) fall, as well as seeing the community's efforts that were put into many of the game's popular add-ons and gamemodes, and i'm glad that, at least in that sense, the game is still very much alive
And lastly, thank you (and Sentry (Hi! 🖐😀)) for giving Blockland the attention and showcasing it deserves!
My friend and I coincidentally revisited Battlefield 1 ourselves last month. To our surprise matchmaking didn't take very long (for some game modes) and we had a good time in battle.
On Steam BF1 had 10000 average players in July, with peak players reaching 22k. And for the whole 2024 montly average hasn't dipped below 5000. Not to mention a big portion of PC players probably don't even play through Steam.

I never expected Blockland of all things to appear here. I haven't booted up the game since 2015.
I won't share my BLID here, but I was playing since 2008, with fond memories of all the builds and insane game modes my brother and I participated in.
What did the game in for me was the removal of maps in favor of shadows and shaders. The Bedroom map was iconic, and Slopes was fantastic for vehicles. I remember GSF Ghost's Paradise map being a wonderful place to explore and uncover all its secrets.
This video was a wonderful trip down memory lane. Thank you for covering my childhood game, and stay off the Forums.

Ive been in "dead" video game communities and its such a different feeling. Playing AvP on the xbox 360 servers when it was like 12 people total was such an indescribable experience. Those in your "chosen" faction taught you everything, and the others were sporting rivals. I played battlefront 2 ea post garbage fire when it was pretty much maintained by a couple milsims. I left that because all those i would call brothers left too. Shout out to the homies in the GAR 104th battalion. I still love you guys

Watching the Blockland part is probably the best, most fun i've had watching in this entire series, and I've never played it ! I still play Battlefield 1 to this day, and don't believe it fits with the series as I think the game is still doing very well, other than during late night for U.S servers. Still enjoyed seeing it on here though anyway !

When you was playing battlefield 1 you unlock some my memories. Being a sniper on the bridge taking people out behind the flag , one time the enemy team locked down the spawn as my team going into a tunnel they die so I went around got behind the enemy gun them all down they didn't know what hit them. there was like 11 people shooting down the tunnel.then I got shot in the back. Fun times.
I love these videos, I love seeing the little communities they hold or bringing awareness to lesser known games that deserve the spotlight.
Blockland looks genuinely fun and so does the 3rd game the ww2 shooter id love to play a game like that the maps alone look amazing and are so thematic.

Some of my best gaming experiences have been while reliving old games. Older communities are always SO much more welcoming than newer communities because the older communities actually want new players to stay. Battlefield 1 is either one of the best multiplayer games ever or a frustrating experience, depending on where you play. If you're in Asia, good luck finding a server that isn’t run by admins who ban you just for beating them, or one that isn’t overrun by Mainland hackers who mess up the game and even DDoS the server.
Looks like im not the only one here tought asians many badmins, not only kick person for stupid reason, but also kd limit is really annoying
I play in Asia servers and never faced the problems you mentioned. I avoid the official DICE servers and instead stuck to custom ones. They usually have strict rules like no mortars trucks, mortars, SMG08/18; and also a strict KD limit. Yeah I sometimes get kicked out for exceeding that KD limit, but it's not that much of a problem for me.
@@spinyslasher6586 prob you play in "noob&pro" and "no limit" server. But what happened if you play in "admin no limit" or "green noob server" but being a good player? Yea that server kinda a problem for me, and many of them, so i went into EU or AU server to play peacefully

RnL was such a great time back in the day. One of the maps I wish you tried had you parachuting (in first person) out of a plane onto some fields at night, then as the round progressed you would move into town.

World Adrift is such game. A real masterpiece released on steam. The art style was beautiful, the progression steady and fun, the OST, OMG THE OST WAS JUST beautiful and so good. The lore deep and interesting. I played it for 30 hours and then they shut down the servers... No single player. they removed the exe via an update and never released the source code. It just died. Men I'm crying at the memories.
