What sucks the most is when a game grows and grows, and then the creator gets too greedy and starts to ruin the game. It’s honestly sad when creators of popular games only started because they wanted to create something fun, and then have it ruined because they forgot their own priorities

I remember when jailbreak was this funky prison life like game. Now there isnt even a proper prison lol. And the game is just a donation on a donation, or you can instead grind like crazy

@@Miqo_kit I also remember last time I was actually invested in the game it was mad imbalanced. Playing as a criminal was simple af and you just earned big money with almost no obstacles, while playing as a cop almost always was a constant fight against impossible odds, even with all the equipment bought and mastered. Didn't also help that there is no way to guard the prison so all your efforts were basically sisyphus labor
as someone who used to throw a TON of MeepCity parties, I knew that kind of stuff happened, but I do think people were overreacting quite a bit with it and (up until I stopped playing in 2019) it was actually pretty scarce. I also don’t think it was the parties driving it. am I sad they’re gone? yes. but the online dating got moved to the MeepCity school. Just saying, pre-2020, any MeepCity game you joined had most of the players gathering at the Hospital because THAT was the place to be

The big side effect and fallout of the pet simulator games, resulted in every game you see on the front page being very similar to each other. I remember any game >2020 was always unique on the front page and had a lot of effort put into it. Sad to see roblox fall like this

Bubble Gum Simulator probably one of most forgotten game like literally.
That game blows up every time there's an update and both pet simulator and bubble gum simulator were tough rivals back then. sadly there will be no more part 2 or at least a decent sequel for the game just like pet simulator
Man I remember playing Bubble Gum Simulator a lot back in like 2019/2020, since 2019 was the year I created my account, I was a kind of noob back then so I used to play tons of simulators, tycoons, and of course obbies, however the game that I played the most was Bubble Gum Simulator, I loved it a lot and I would play it for hours, but eventually the game got boring for me and I ended up quitting it, I tried to return to it a while back but it wasn't the same especially due to the lack of players so I abandoned it completely, however I still remember the game and it will always have an place in my heart, kinda sad to see how the game fell down...
Oh yeah! I remember this simulator! I try to reach the highest levels of this game and it became a bit boring. I would love to go back to it again.

I've been playing Roblox since 2015 and I had a lot of fun on the platform. I still come back today and see how much it has evolved but I am sad to see some of the childhood games I played go. From Vehicle Simulator, The Streets of Bloxwood, Treelands, etc., I will still always remember these games and hopefully will be revived.
Edit: I didn't expect to get this many likes. Thanks though. I may try to make a video on the old games of Roblox which died so put your games below. Ill probably do treelands first though.
since the developer of Vehicle Simulator got arrested irl for bringing a loaded gun to a roblox convention, it's safe to say that is just completely hopeless now

if im being honest, playing these games as a kid was so fun. but after we grew up, we realized: a lot of these games werent made to entertain us, they were made to get as many players and money as possible.

Did you play starving artist?. I started the game this year and it's probably the worse when it comes to being unsafe for kids. Someone used a script to make art to show their p*nis in real life. To make a script art, they put their picture in a drawing program and turn it into a pixel art by a click of a button. After they copy and paste each square and add it to the art canvas on starving artist. It's been happening too much this month. I wish that I havent bought some passes on that game.

I've known Roblox since around its transition from its classic era to the current era, and now I no longer focus on it, after finding better games than those on Roblox. Even if there are some I'd be willing to return to.
But it is a shame how greed can destroy video games, not just in Roblox, but in general. If anything all devs should learn is goodwill should be treated more importantly than income.

I remember playing meepcity around 2019-2020 and with the younger mind i had, I didn’t see the inappropriate parties, and thank god I didn’t. Before I found out about the parties, my friends started laughing at my face about me playing meepcity. So I later went on RUclips and then I saw the parties. I never played meepcity again.
i have played meepcity for a long time and never encountered any parties.i played from 2016 until now and haven't found one
I started playing meepcity around 2018-2019, I figured out what parties were but only looked at those undertale roleplay ones
all my years I've made 4 accounts 1 when I joined Roblox for the first time in 2015, 2nd in 2017, 3rd in 2019, and 4th account in 2023 (I forgot the username of my 2015 account, and I forgot the password to my 2017 account but for my 2019 account i made a mistake while putting in my birthdate I put in 2019 by accident but now I've done everything correctly)

I remember there used an old to be an attack on titan game where they remade the city in the walls and you would have to defend it against titans, there were a few event every once in a while, like protecting titan eren while he puts a boulder in a hole in the wall. The game even allowed you to turn into a titan. It was really fun, but I can’t seem to find it anymore.

Azure Mines. Was a crazy popular game in 2018 with up to 30-40k people at a time. It fell downhill as people quickly lost interest due to the intense aspect of grinding in the game.

This is happening to many games even now. And what sucks developers will just get older and older and just stop working on the game or they’ll keep working on the game and just get greedier about how much money how much robux and how much clout they think the game they made “needs”.
I loved giant simulator. One of prestons older games. Meepcity in general was awesome too. I went into the game for the first time in years today and parts of the map were gone and overall the game was broken. Its sad…
