Could you please do an updated version of this since there have been soooo many products that have come out over the past year for SPF reapplication products & tools & methods?!?! There are now so many setting sprays, rehydration sprays, powders, cushion compacts, & sticks/balms! I would love to see a video comparing all of these for each skin type.

I use a cushion and spray SPF on it then pat it on my skin. Really like it. Only found 1 SPF setting spray that is not greasy!
I used to use the Physicians Formula SPF powder for a long time and I had kinda forgotten about it until now. That’s a very good powder that I would use with or without the SPF. I’m gonna purchase it again after watching this. Thanks for another great video! Your recommendations are some of the most trustworthy on RUclips because you are so well-informed and unbiased.

Suntegrity is and will always be my go to for physical sun protection/priming/moisturizing I have dry skin and the dewy and matte formula both work amazing. These are tinted but not light where it does nothing but not full coverage, it’s a perfecting look and it’s so easy to reapply.

You should try one of those silicone sponges. You can easily clean it. And it won’t absorb product.
hi abbey! can i use the skin aqua gel sunscreen to reapply on top of a tinted mineral sunscreen? or i should use the tinted sunscreen to reapply?
Very helpful! I don’t wear make up on my skin, so reapplying isn’t a problem for me. I only wear powdered eyeliner and fill in my brows. I also have an oily T-zone, so sometimes will opt for powder, over reapplied SPF.

Hi Abbey,-I have normal skin. Not sure if you ever tried out face sprays with spf. I tried Neutrogena spf 50 (,pink & yellow bottle) today & liked everything about it except for the scent. Returning it but was curious if you ever tried any sprays for the fave. Thx Abbey
I didn't hear you talking anything abt gel-based sunscreen, when re-applying over makeup🥺 I'd wish to hear your thoughts on this type of sunscreen as well, as this one is transparent thus leaving no white cast, and claims to be more lightweight. I'd like to know how does that one perform over makeup, whether it lifts, rub off or move around some of your makeup products etc..

Can you try chanel beauty please do a review on it I use chanel and dior powder foundation to retouch my makeup it works like powder and it Dosnt cakes up but it only haves 15 spf 🥺 i belive dior is 20 spf
I own the maybelline spf 50 and it is matte on me. Problem is how it works when reapplying throughout the day since it's in the medium to buildable coverage side and I would love for you to test it out!
That one has added fragrance & essential oils so no go for my sensitive skin unfortunately 😕

I’ve used a variety of things! Bar of soap, baby shampoo, Parisian spirit. I try to clean every 2 weeks

What kind of primer are we talking? I’ll do some digging 🤔 I think SPF is such a good primer because most dry down slightly tacky!
Dermablend Jelly Primer
I actually use the Australian Gold tinted sunscreen as my primer and it works great for my oily skin because it has a mattifying effect!
Abbey Yung I’ve actually been using the drmtlgy tinted spf as my primer, but I think I need something to help with oiliness in my t-zone and to blur pores.
I’d be interested in knowing this too
I just drop the liquid sunscreen (ISDIN), "warm" it with my fingers, pat it along my face and neck and if I look too shiny I just wait for it to absorb and pat a liiiiiiittle setting powder (rarely do this) I really don't mind mi skin to look dewey.

That’s another option! But it is the trickiest to ensure even coverage, so not my top recommendation!
Random but have you ever gone to see an esthetician/facialist? I’m really intrigued but I feel like they all use products with fragrance and essential oils. I wish fragrance/irritant-free was the norm for estheticians :(

I always worry with powder also that the brush takes off the base sunscreen and possibly removes more spf than adds - how do you deal with that?
Also, I think the revlon colorstay and Maybelline outlast 3-in-1 are fragrance-free matte foundations with spf (though low-ish)- you should check them out!
If I have makeup over top the base spf that doesn’t worry me! Also, the patting motion vs. dragging helps! Ohhh good to know 😊

Super thorough review of this topic! 🙌🏼. Thanks for addressing the issues for each skin type. Re-app is a hassle over make up. For makeup days I’ve decide it’s time for me to go Jackie O style ... big floppy hat and sunglasses! However she looked glamorous and I look a bit silly.
Ps what do you think of the new spray-ons? Kate Somerville and SuperGoop (I think) has one. They’re likely chemical SS so you may not be interested.
Of course! Glad you enjoyed it. I've never found a spray that has ingredients I love, and sprays are also difficult to ensure even coverage with so not my top recommendation!
I use my sponge once. Next day get a clean one.
