Actually believe it or not, the ginger ale thing is a good idea for when you’re cooking white meats in a crock pot as the citric acid brings out some more of the flavor. It makes pork chops taste a bit better and make chicken a bit juicer

I mean, it is fast to prepare, and slow to cook...? So technically it's both..?
Probably both. Normally, when I make stew in my crockpot, I would put it together around noon (five minutes or less, depending on ingredients) then put the setting on high. It's done by dinner (about 6pm). I only use my instapot when I want food in 5-10 mins- it's a pressure cooker.

I love how she starts with 'what if they took 5 minutes' and then goes on to say 'ready when you get home from work'
Basically it will take five minutes of prep work to get the food in the Crock-Pot and then it can take eight hours to cook on low heat or four hours on high heat. My personal favorite recipe is the one for smothered pork chops and rice. I just put the rice in the Crock-Pot followed by the pork chops, a can of cream of mushroom soup and two soup cans of water to keep the rice from getting crunchy. Afterwards I simply put the lid on the Crock-Pot and put it on low heat before going to work. When I got home I was able to enjoy a nice filling dinner.

It is legitimately not okay that I was 15 when I first saw this video when it came out since I turned 18 just a few days ago and it made me think about everything substantial that's acvtually happened to me and just happened in general, I can't believe that those three years have gone by so fast just in the blink of an eye and that a Jacksepticeye Funniest Home Videos showed me that I need to get my shit together and be more grateful for what I have now and didn't then as well as realizing why I lost somethings and some people since not everything and everyone is meant to stay in our lives forever

Funny thing though. Soda legitimately is a good way to tenderize and marinate meat. Cola in particular. And not just as “weird” southern American cooking, I mean like, legit restaurants will use it for pot roasts (I’ve worked at some).

I've been binging funniest home videos while Jack is gone. This always makes me laugh.
Omg Sauna Pants with an adjustable heat setting would probably feel amazing for period days. I usually use heat on my lower back but I think about how awesome it would feel to have heat on my lower stomach and the tips of my thighs as well. I use a cup with a water tight seal so there’s no leaks or smells, but putting this sauna pant thing on over my yoga pants would probably feel amazing for handling my period pain. They’re marketing this product to the wrong audience.

Actually, believe it or not, soda’s acidity tenderizes meats fairly well when you put them in a crockpot. I tried it with some chicken on my own to test it, and it actually tasted a little better than normal. I used ginger ale though, so I don’t know if other sodas work well.
