ijcn0jir3nvjn3fjcifn Bodybuilding is what you want out of it. Size, symmetry, proportions, definition are all variables that can be tuned for a certain look. In today’s professional competitions, size is king. This is why they look ugly. Frank Zane, Arnold etc had great proportions and definitions and look better any day of the week. They really need to go back to these higher standards.

Frank Zane is the reason I started training when he had Zane Haven in Palm Springs in 1988. I mentioned to him that I wanted to train and he gave me his book 12 weeks to a better body. I haven't stopped training since. Thank you Mr. Zane, you changed my life, because I love this.

    •  4 года назад +5

Similar story here. Santa Monica in '79 with Frank before Zane Haven opened.
I, also, haven't stopped since and to this day perform wake-up workouts daily of 1,000 crunches, 100 rows, 10 ab rollouts & one minute arm hang on the bar. Nothing is better for your body.
      Thanks, Frank!

We know Joe Weider favored Arnold (who did photoshoots for a gay magasine), so of course it would be easier for him to win and sponsor.
Also, if you actually throw away all the bias, you can clearly see that the 1980 Mr. Olympia was gifted to Arnold. Here's what I found on wiki:
''many of the competitors, including Frank Zane, Coe, Mentzer, and Walker, vowed to boycott the 1981 contest. CBS Television attended and filmed the 1980 contest but decided not to air the contest on broadcast television as planned.''

I resonate with him about training when the gym is quiet, no distractions from the bro science time wasters on their phones hogging the equipment needlessly lol

Love this video. “Just do the exercise”, absolutely the best advice. Sadik follows on from that by saying there’s too much information out there, another great comment. Having information is great, but too much of it is completely contradictory. The same ‘experts’ will be telling you one week how a particular method is the best way, and then a month down the line they’ll be telling you that same method is ‘killing your gains’.
The fitness industry relies on regurgitating the same information over and over again, having you believe one minute that what you’re doing is the right way and the next minute it’s the wrong way.
Learn what is best for you by doing it yourself. Train hard, train properly, use variation in your workouts, eat well, rest well, and you will see change in your body. If you take onboard all the information available online you will simply blow your own mind and overthink.
