No Commando or Special Forces solider could handle a Scott Manson itinerary! Absolutely incredible stuff, dear RUclips algorithm, please share this widely as everyone needs to see it. One of the best videos I've seen in 2023.
Oh I've been waiting for this one! Kettle on, let's go for it! Will report back after Sir...(but hit 'like' already, you clearly deserve at least that!)
The legend returns. The saga continues. Sometimes watching Scott's channel is like an investigation into the madness of the world and man's place in it.
11:11 I like the woman's smile. The weather outside may be bad, but the sun is shining from her heart! I'm just wondering if she's trolling you a little! 🤔🤣
I do hairbrained trips like this from time to time (Ryanair, skyscanner "transfers", overnighting in airports, walking distances any sane person would take a taxi for) and I often wonder to myself if I'll still have the spirit for it when I'm older. You're at least one data point that shows that maybe I will. Great video!
Frankly I think you're amazing! You are now my favourite RUclips travel vlogger. I'm worried that you're wandering around foreign places in the middle of the night on your own, I wouldn't feel safe but then I'm not yyou. Hats off to you Sir! Looking forward to your next video.
Wow, what a journey Scott! It just goes to show you crazy RUclipsrs don't always live in the lap of luxury. You should do more of these full journey edits
Scott that really was above and beyond! I'm from Paisley and have made the walk to Glasgow airport a few times... but as for the rest of your epic voyage, I've never come remotely close. Amazing stamina that made for a riveting watch.
Scott, I really appreciate the effort you put into your travel adventures to bring us along for the ride. I agree with a lot of the comments that some of your viewers have provided. If there were a Nobel prize for services to the travel industry you should win it for this contribution alone. Thank you for another adventure, get plenty of rest and sleep and we'll see you in the next one.😊👍
Love this channel, another good one. As someone who has made some silly mistakes travelling, it's always nice to see other solo travellers telling of theirs!
For future reference the Hotei 3K is about 200m, from the airport at around £60 including breakfast. Bus from Faro to airport around £ 6. Much easier than walking and a good night sleep !
Great wee hotel and so close to the airport - ideal for early morning flights. I used it last November (around 50€) and I walked the service road running along the main road to the roundabout just at the airport car parks.
One heck of a logistic and physical resilience challenge. You came out of it in better shape than I would have managed, and throughout the entire adventure you managed to maintain your high video production standards. A magnificent achievement.
Respect to you, Sir. Don't ever forget the social aspect of you travels for you viewers. You brought joy and interest to many especially those not 100% health wise. ❤
Wow, absolutely epic video Scott. How you stayed awake and still maintained good spirits throughout that journey amazes me. For me, one of your best videos - I hope it gets the views it deserves and helps to build your subscriber base. Superb, well done.
Wow Scott, you did an amazing job .. especially seeing the ups and downs that can occur when things don’t always go according to plan! How you managed to stay awake is beyond me .. I would have been a basket case and given up. Thank you for persevering and for showing us such an entertaining video. Now get some rest !! ❤
Prices in Portugal are generally very reasonable (but as everywhere higher in the usual places, like airports). Some of the places you walked I'd not be with a camera , especiallly at night, whilst personal security is not the same problem as other countries I'd still have been nervous. I've just come back from Lisbon, was at the airport where you filmed the segment, as airports go it's a good place, clean & modern. All the people have been friendly and welcoming to the British, not something I could say is the case across every EU country. Great video, I'm subscribed and waiting for the next one.
What a great concept Scott, gave us all a real insight into just what you have to go through to get a video out. Have to say I loved the barista lady in Lisbon with her impromptu appearance with your coffee experience.
Went to Lisbon in November 2016. Very hilly. Totally agree with you about the slippery wet pavements. We were more fortunate about the weather than you were.
that was genuinely fascinating!!!! really like those sorts of videos more than the pure transport kind... especially as ,even miserable, Lisbon is astonishing.
@04:52 in February 2007, I flew Germanwings from Stuttgart to Lisbon. I had been to Lisbon as a child, but could not remember what it looked like as an adult. When I visited in the 1970s, my parents and I travelled from El Puerto de Santa Maria by car. I don't think, in Lisbon, that we ever rode the metro then, but I used it extensively in February 2007. The red line, called the Oriente line, terminated in the north at the eponymous rail station. The Elevador da Gloria was out of service due to engineering works at Rossio rail station, so trains were replaced by busses, especially to Nazare. I did ride the @10:20 Elevador da Bica, was a nice ride up. Portugal is a very good country to go to for coffee. Myself I order a "galao", a big cup of coffee, to go with my "prego no pao" or a "pastel de nata".
That was a great video, such dedication. Before I watched it a Trek Trendy video of a 42K train ride came up on my recommedations, I started to watch it but skipped a lot of it, your video was a 100 times better.
Lovely video. Reminded me of my stay in Lisbon a few years back, rain for two days! But the trams, funiculars and lift are fab. Sea food was fantastic and reasonably priced. There is also the tram museum to visit.
17:44 I love how when you're talking about being told off by security for filming in the supermarket that you can see security inside immediately clock that you're filming 😂
Scott, I know that taking this journey had to be exhausting. But you certainly have my gratitude because this was one of your best yet. Seeing the reality of your experience is so much more interesting.
That was an epic adventure in the rain and darkness! Well done for letting us into the secrets of how much planning and organisation goes into your film making so we can enjoy the end result! Whenever you are plodding along a lonely, deserted, dark road (with or without rain) I am always scanning the street behind you in case there is some brigand lying in wait to mug a lonely traveller. So far, so good!
Hah great job Scott, I think we all had our moments of "I shouldn't had done that!" but yeah after a while I think I'd have gave up. Thank f.. Goodness this worked out in the end!
When we were in Lisbon a few years ago they shut one of the funiculars down on the Saturday night (the first one in your video) and proceeded to have an uphill cycle race up the tracks! A charming city.
That was the most amazing time-travel video I've ever watched, Scott! You realise I'm going to have to watch it again stop half-way through, and watch er, "last week's" video in the middle? Crikey, you're a trouper, but it was great, if a little exhausting, travelling along with you. Hope you've recovered! Thanks for taking us along.
Hi there , Watching this vlog 4 the 1st time , The Rossio station is the original overhead station which u enter across the road " Praca dos restauradores " next door to Starbucks coffee shop . When u departed from Santa Apolonia u could of taken 1 of 2 trains to Oriente station just beyond the Pingo doce supermarket there are 2 other lines 1 is for Tomar decribed as a Regional service & the 2nd train is a comuter service to outlying suburbs & they take only 10 minutes to Oriente station . Hoping u return to Portugal soon Always enjoy ur travels Thx again . Christy 🇮🇪/🇵🇹 👍
Wow Scott, i'm exhausted just watching your video !! What an experience & everything seemed to be against you - inc the weather !! Here's to the next one :)
Well done! Im sure most of us would have been so tired at just half of what youve achieved here. Would like to see more of these, but with some sleep too. 😊
I loved that video and Ive had pretty much all those experiences as a frequent traveller. Yes Ive walked to airports, got lost in Lisbon climbing endless hills (I did go into the castle though) and of course have been wet. Nowadays since I do like walking around cities I do pack either light weight rain gear or a pair of light replacement trousers and a fresh shirt in my carry on bag. Luckily Dublin is my home airport so generally I can get direct flights. Keep it going Scott!
Absolutely loved the behind the scenes video. I can't believe all the long hours and rain you had to go through. Hopefully you will do some more of these videos
Very interesting vlog Scott…great to see some of your ‘behind the scenes’ tricks of the trade…especially your silent ‘count out’ after finishing a scene. I do that on some live music vids I do to allow for audio fade out. God bless, Safe travels! 👍🏼
No Commando or Special Forces solider could handle a Scott Manson itinerary! Absolutely incredible stuff, dear RUclips algorithm, please share this widely as everyone needs to see it. One of the best videos I've seen in 2023.
You've met me so it sort of explains a lot, doesn't it?
@@PlanesTrainsEverything Haha YES IT DOES! :D
Fight the good fight you two. Ha ha. The voyage into the unknown continues.
You guys really entertain me. And as I want to go to Lisbon next year - I know to take my umbrella now :)
A Scotsman. In Portugal. Walks into an Irish bar. And orders a full English. No joke.
The lady at 11:09 was very pleased by your coffee reaction by the looks of it 🤣
Oh I've been waiting for this one! Kettle on, let's go for it! Will report back after Sir...(but hit 'like' already, you clearly deserve at least that!)
Steve...in all seriousness. I think you and Scott need to climb everest together. Or be the 1st men on Mars. That would be grade A content 😂😂
The server at 11:10 seemed to be enjoying herself
You and Steve Marsh are definitely my favorite travel RUclipsrs
Yes, they go to places that you or I could visit too, making an adventure seem possible!
Steve marsh bored shit out of me
The legend returns. The saga continues. Sometimes watching Scott's channel is like an investigation into the madness of the world and man's place in it.
This vlog shows why some people assume Scott is an older youtuber - he's actually 26 but does this kind of thing a lot!
11:11 What a lovely lady hahaha
Well done Scott for surviving this marathon. Personally I suggest you take it easier on future trips.
11:11 I like the woman's smile. The weather outside may be bad, but the sun is shining from her heart!
I'm just wondering if she's trolling you a little! 🤔🤣

When older - you do. Im retired now and this is my life. Mad but exciting!

Agreed. Love the longer videos.
Scott that really was above and beyond! I'm from Paisley and have made the walk to Glasgow airport a few times... but as for the rest of your epic voyage, I've never come remotely close. Amazing stamina that made for a riveting watch.
Please don't die Scott as I enjoy your channel. 🇬🇧
This was the most enjoyable episode in a while! Being in trouble sells!

How many times have I doubled back on a walk abroad😂😂
Make the best of it and you usually see something interesting you would never have seen.
I am making myself a coffee ☕ so I can get to cruising altitude. Love your videos, Scott!

I salute you Scott, as a Celtic fan myself I couldn't be annoyed with that after your trip either. Sleep is key. Great video.
Masterpiece. I need a nap after watching. You couldn't write this adventure.
One heck of a logistic and physical resilience challenge. You came out of it in better shape than I would have managed, and throughout the entire adventure you managed to maintain your high video production standards. A magnificent achievement.

❤
I came across one of your videos a couple of days ago. Now you are slowly becoming my favourite RUclips channel. Keep the good work
Wow, absolutely epic video Scott. How you stayed awake and still maintained good spirits throughout that journey amazes me. For me, one of your best videos - I hope it gets the views it deserves and helps to build your subscriber base. Superb, well done.
My God. You are a bloody WARRIOR Scott! Tough as old boots! Well done!

It's nice to see what happens behind the scenes to make YT videos. More of these please!
What a great concept Scott, gave us all a real insight into just what you have to go through to get a video out. Have to say I loved the barista lady in Lisbon with her impromptu appearance with your coffee experience.
Thanks! Enjoy a coffee
Love how you and your film crew survived that one! 🤣🤣
So glad I have found this channel.
Strangely fascinating 😊
Love the lady's reaction at 11:11!
The content is super good, and so is your humor. Love it.
Went to Lisbon in November 2016. Very hilly. Totally agree with you about the slippery wet pavements. We were more fortunate about the weather than you were.
Even when dry ,the footpaths can be lethal on hills.
that was genuinely fascinating!!!!
really like those sorts of videos more than the pure transport kind...
especially as ,even miserable, Lisbon is astonishing.
Just started your videos, very enjoyable, you certainly put your body through it, stay safe and well

Loved this behind the scenes video. Thanks for bringing us along. I'd have beem scunnered with all the rain, walking and sitting about. 😔
It’s the angst that’s addictive . . . !
That was a great video, such dedication. Before I watched it a Trek Trendy video of a 42K train ride came up on my recommedations, I started to watch it but skipped a lot of it, your video was a 100 times better.
Good evening Scott, you are dedicated to the cause, hats off to you…..👍👌🇮🇲
Loved that Scott would love more behind the scenes. Maybe even show your booking process for big adventures?
That was just great Scott .. please do more of these as they are so interesting to💯watch !!

17:44 I love how when you're talking about being told off by security for filming in the supermarket that you can see security inside immediately clock that you're filming 😂
Oh the globe-trekking glamour of it all Scott.
Scott, I know that taking this journey had to be exhausting. But you certainly have my gratitude because this was one of your best yet. Seeing the reality of your experience is so much more interesting.

Your magic DOES happen!!! Thank you verymuch, Scott! (And greetings from.St.Perersburg, formerly Leningrad) 😊
Well done Scott. Huge pain just to get a video for us. Great. Take a good nap on your favorite bed.
When we were in Lisbon a few years ago they shut one of the funiculars down on the Saturday night (the first one in your video) and proceeded to have an uphill cycle race up the tracks! A charming city.
Brilliant Scott. Trust you enjoyed your sleep! Keep the videos coming!
What a great video…. Really open my eyes on the lengths a content creator goes through….. well done!!
Wow!! What stamina! 🤯 All that for the 15 minute video last week, next week, whatever 😂
True dedication to your followers.
Always great to get the train to the top and wander down, calling in for a wine at every bar on the way down.
I had a wonderful time!

Thanks
Thanks very much Robbie. That's greatly appreciated.
What a trek Scott..puts the young whippersnapper from Montrose's [mis]adventures into the shade. Well done👍
Jeezo Scott, that was a challenge and a half! Great to see the bits we don't normally see. 😊
Brilliant! Love a natural realistic video! Best video yet!! Love the timestamps too
That would have broken most men! Excellent video, loved seeing what goes on behind these videos.

Wow, what a journey. Epic. Your stamina amazes me. Excellent video. I always watch till the end.
Mad but great I am knackered watching it
Love it Scott, great to see a behind the scenes video 👍🙂 Hopefully not your last one either #cruisingaltitude
This is wonderful, like inception, after watching this I'm going back to watch last week's video
Scott you've got some stamina. And we'll done on single handedly supporting independent coffee shops.
You are a true legend - thank you so much for doing this behind the scenes video... Brilliant 👍
I loved that video and Ive had pretty much all those experiences as a frequent traveller. Keep up the great work Scott 👍👍
I can only say well done Scott another great video.
The Portuguese love those black and white sets in the pavements, Same in Madeira in Funchal.
Watched that to the very end.
Jeeso 56 hours without a sleep.
Respect.
Absolutely loved the behind the scenes video. I can't believe all the long hours and rain you had to go through. Hopefully you will do some more of these videos
It's great to see an deeper insight into these trips Scott
Absolutely epic Scott; Awesome achievement! 😅😊
