I definitely experienced a drop off on performance during the winter 2022 cold front when driving cross country in both directions. To the point that the Model 3 I rented couldn't reach the next supercharger station without driving at less than the speed limit, turning off all unnecessary systems, turning the heat off, and using only the seat warmer. It was not the best for my first experience, but I also understand that colder temperatures degrade performance, and that announcements of improvements have been given in the last 5 months. I appreciate videos like this, because it shows innovation in extreme temperatures, and ensures my hope that newer models will accommodate such problems as they arise. For context, I drove from Phoenix to North Carolina.

@Tesla: Tesla's ingenuity in naming their vehicles with the letters S, 3, X, and Y not only showcases their creativity but also their ability to captivate the market. It's intriguing how Tesla has managed to turn these seemingly simple letters into something truly "sexy" in the automotive world. By breaking away from the conventional naming conventions, Tesla has successfully infused a sense of exclusivity and sophistication into their brand. The S, 3, X, and Y have become iconic symbols of Tesla's commitment to innovation and pushing boundaries. It's a testament to Tesla's unique vision and their ability to create a lasting impact on the industry. Bravo, Tesla, for making "sexy" more than just a word, but an experience on wheels.

I live in south Florida. This weekend the heat advisory we are under has really tested my boyfriends model 3. He had a 2020 3 and the AC was never and issue. I think they changed the ac type to I believe a heat pump. It takes a lot longer to cool the car down when driving even if you pre-cooled it. It like was blowing and such but “cool” but didn’t seem “cold and crisp” for a while. It has been this way since he got it. Eventually it gets to feel comfortable. But in 100 degrees and 100% humidity it can be brutal on any AC system.

However, I can say with certainty that the reason why many people in the UAE opt for Japanese cars is not solely due to their perceived coolness factor. Rather, it is because their air conditioning systems are exceptionally well-suited for our hot weather. With just a single adjustment, you can easily cool down even on the hottest summer days. In order to make this work if there were 4 locking latches or attach points on the rear hatch and near the wipers so that the cab could be covered for trips to the store or when at work this alone would prevent most of the heat that the car needs to remove.

I was hoping to see cabin temperatures mentioned in this video, why weren't they? Here in Thailand it's regularly over 40 degrees C and the Thailand Tesla groups often mention the fact that the air-con does a poor job of cooling the cars. The pre-cooling function is particularly poor. Heated seats and heated steering wheel but the seats are not cooled or ventilated and no sun shade for the glass roof. It is standard procedure here to add additional heat reflective film to all glass and Tesla's have a lot of it. White is the free paint colour in most countries, but in Thailand it's Black and the option to specify a white interior is not available! 🥵

My 2019 Model 3 had some of the coldest AC I’ve ever had in a vehicle. It was perfection. My 2022 Model 3 and 2023 Model Y can barely cool down the interior once it gets above 85F. Not a chance it could ever keep up at 124F.
Tesla service checked both and said “they’re working as expected” so I took my 2019 in and showed them real AC. The service tech had no answers after comparing them side by side.
Tesla, fix your AC units because the new units suck.

About 25 degrees F if it's a a simple white metal. With windows, sun roof, ect, it's hard to say. You could definitely fry an egg on a black car roof at any temperature over 105 in direct sunlight at midday. A white roof would nearly be impossible

Make sure to test cybertruck in those conditions with max payload and max towing up a 4000m mountain at high speeds.
Also shouldn't snap in half when driven a few thousand km at 100km/h on extreme corrugations ie outback Australia.
