Back when I waas a teenager in the 1990s I used to go to the 1/4 mile strip with my brother in his hotted up Holden Panelvan (that had a lot of customization, ford 9" diff, holly carby, twin exhausts and a bunch of tuning, and after he thrashed some guys Torana, the dude came up and pulled a knife on him. So my brother backed up and knocked him down with the car. My brother was bit of a madman back then.
It's good that technology has advanced to such a stage that you can draw a knob on the car dashboard. We used to only be able to draw those in the dirt on the back of a Transit van.

Sithika Gardi right there aren’t many ways to justify buying a model S/X over the model 3/Y unless money really isn’t a concern to you. Basically paying double the price for slight advantages when you actually break it down. I have no problem with anyone getting the more expensive, luxury models, but for anyone who can’t spend 90-160k on a car, the model 3 and Y are perfect for what they offer.

"Summon" was a gimmick in the beginning but not anymore. You can use Summon from blocks away not only a parking spot. Also Elon said Tesla can drop you off at the airport and return itself back home and park itself in the garage. A gimmick yes but it will become a lot more useful in the future.

I like seeing Clarkson giving an honest review about Tesla but I miss the Top Gear days where they would test it to the limits, see if it crashes into walls or scraped along the curb rather than testing summon vehicle in a straight line.

No one had any minor issues, mostly minot stuff like my driver's window doesn't work. Everyone loved their Tesla. People would tell me to take one for a test drive but I never did. I knew from talking to owners I would love a Tesla. We bought a model Y and it's the best car we have ever owned. 🙂 We still own an ice car but we only use it twice a week so hopefully I won't need to do any work on it before I receive my cyber truck. 😁

I did become acquainted with The Stig (and would've been awesome to see him come out of the R8), but on the other hand, on the few episodes I got to watch, I never saw a _"fill the car with lawyers"_ part. @@Anothy No, the new Model S and Model X have a Plaid mode (The only thing beyond Ludicrous is Plaid). The Roadster is in a class of its own, it has a SpaceX mode with cold gas thrusters.
The biggest selling point for a Tesla and one of the main reasons I bought it is for its safety rating… because the heavy battery packs are at the bottom it is almost impossible to roll… because it has no engine it has a huge crumple zone that absorbs energy from head on collisions… the airbags completely encase the driver keeping them from being thrown around..

The most dangerous is the back 9f the parking lot and is only amplified if there arent any cars in the space next to the car left, right, and behind. The only thing about Tesla cars I don’t like is that they are expensive, some of them have got and finish issues, and a lot of people that drove them where I live drive like they are better then everyone else. Other than that, they look fantastic.

Just picked up the Model Y Performance model. I can't believe how fast this car is. It has so much torque. Unbelievable car from front to back. 10 years ahead of its time.

I've supercharged it twice since i got it. both charges were about 60% of battery and cost about $10 each, which was nice considering gas is $6+ here in Cali. Not one ounce of buyer's remorse. Performance package look is beefy and stance is sick. 21 inch tires really make it stand out. Comfortable ride, low center of gravity and AWD allows it to eat up corners. 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Auto pilot is amazing which comes standard. 10 times safer than a human driving. I didn't get the full self driving package, as that is still being vetted out. but i can purchase it whenever i want with one push of a button on my cell phone. :) This car is like driving a car 10 years in the future. it will be very difficult to go back to any other car after a week of driving this Jetson mobile. Very blessed.

"Summon" was a gimmick in the beginning but not anymore. You can use Summon from blocks away not only a parking spot. Also Elon said Tesla can drop you off at the airport and return itself back home and park itself in the garage. A gimmick yes but it will become a lot more useful in the future.

It is still a gimmick. I have a model Y and even the smart summon feature I don't trust in a parking lot after a few close calls.

I would always stop and ask people charging at my local supercharger location how they like led there cars. No one had any minor issues, mostly minot stuff like my driver's window doesn't work. Everyone loved their Tesla. People would tell me to take one for a test drive but I never did. I knew from talking to owners I would love a Tesla.
We bought a model Y and it's the best car we have ever owned. 🙂
We still own an ice car but we only use it twice a week so hopefully I won't need to do any work on it before I receive my cyber truck. 😁

I missed out on most of Top Gear. I did become acquainted with The Stig (and would've been awesome to see him come out of the R8), but on the other hand, on the few episodes I got to watch, I never saw a _"fill the car with lawyers"_ part. That was hilarious. The whole review was awesome and Jeremy looked like a kid with a new toy - a clichéd yet perfectly suitable phrase 😀 Cheers!

When Jeremy speaks, I'm at home on my sofa watching Top Gear, on a Sunday night, and I feel safe again.
The biggest selling point for a Tesla and one of the main reasons I bought it is for its safety rating… because the heavy battery packs are at the bottom it is almost impossible to roll… because it has no engine it has a huge crumple zone that absorbs energy from head on collisions… the airbags completely encase the driver keeping them from being thrown around..
That battery pack can’t outlast an engine though. A massive drawback of owning the vehicle unfortunately

The only thing about Tesla cars I don’t like is that they are expensive, some of them have got and finish issues, and a lot of people that drove them where I live drive like they are better then everyone else. Other than that, they look fantastic.

Just picked up the Model Y Performance model. I can't believe how fast this car is. It has so much torque. Unbelievable car from front to back. 10 years ahead of its time.
How much was it
@@sgtmuffinbadger6147 $67K USD. I opted for the Blue paint and white leather. Both were $1K extra each. I've supercharged it twice since i got it. both charges were about 60% of battery and cost about $10 each, which was nice considering gas is $6+ here in Cali. Not one ounce of buyer's remorse. Performance package look is beefy and stance is sick. 21 inch tires really make it stand out. Comfortable ride, low center of gravity and AWD allows it to eat up corners. 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Auto pilot is amazing which comes standard. 10 times safer than a human driving. I didn't get the full self driving package, as that is still being vetted out. but i can purchase it whenever i want with one push of a button on my cell phone. :) This car is like driving a car 10 years in the future. it will be very difficult to go back to any other car after a week of driving this Jetson mobile. Very blessed.

@@johnvanpuffelen6350 I have this car, and I can tell you, without a doubt, they will not open 100% of the way if they sense an obstruction. You can override this, but you literally have to press a confirmation on the car, twice, before it’ll allow this.
