“The Houndmaster” sounds legit until you see Madea with her cane corso standing there. underwhelming and lame. Also fix your game and make it balanced lmao so many problems with this game it’s not even fun half the time yet y’all are more worried about skins and releasing more content to add to the pile of detritus.
In the PTB gameplay the effectiveness of the dog catching survivors looks fairly useless; It seems like another killer with too much of a gimmick. In matches that move so quickly due to gen rushing there isn’t time for killers with time consuming, gimmicky powers. The killers have to be designed in a way that is more straightforward and streamlined just to keep up with the fast pace of the matches! If the gen progression was pushed back or if the survivors were given other tasks before being able to work on the gens then I could see killers with powers like the Houndmaster being suitable.
Tbh when I heard that there was gonna be a killer that uses a dog to help them,I immediately thought about a more terrifying story about Cruella de vill. She is honestly a pet owner's worst nightmare.

Idk, when I first read "Hound Master" I just immediately thought of: - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: Hound of Baskerville - Lovecraft: The Hound - Robert E. Howard: Thing on the Roof - Christophe Gans: Brotherhood of the Wolf So I kinda expected the Killer to look like an old tall, slim, sick and eerie 1900's english House Master or Noble in black Robes with a Cane and a Hat who commands a monstrous dog. Now with the actual Killer being revealed and looking like the exact Opposite it kind of feels weird... I absolutely love that the Game still makes its own Killers but I feel as if two killer themes where mixed here, that didn't blend to well. For the Hound Master I would've preferred more of a rich laid-back house-master who's to sick to do the killing himself and instead secretly raised a monster to help him on his nightly hunts and for the Pirate maybe something similair to Disneys version of Davy Jones. A Pirate sporting Lovecrafts "Insmouth Look", being half-human, half-sea-creature with kraken-like powers and a Monkey or a Parrot as Companion. Or maybe something similair to Blackbeard, like a Killer who's enshrouded in embers and smoke with a Black-Powder theme who haunts the sea after his ship exploded and burned down. Or something similair to Klaus Störtebecker, the Pirate who got decapitated but kept walking. (On a side note: I'd actually love to see a headless Killer and I think there's plenty of potential with Sleepy Hollows Headless Rider or Xing Tian, the headless Warrior who was consumed by his rage.) But then again, I don't know anything about the new Killers lore yet, so maybe I'll start to like her once I know a little more about her...
Having just played The Casting of Frank Stone, little disappointed that it's not a Frank Stone chapter but this still looks really cool. Hoping for a Frank chapter in the future
I have played DBD for 8 years, and that is the first time I see a killer this bad. The killer is very fun to play but the looping the survivors can do to him is horrible. If you can't use the abilities of the killer most of the time what is the point.
I was just watching the two "The Thing" movies and I thought how cool that monster would be in DBD. It would be able to disguise itself as a survivor to sneak up on them
The lore for these characters is an interesting subversion because the killer is an innocent girl driven to bloodlust by the Entity while the survivor is a loyal cult follower of the Entity. It also confirms something I’d suspected which is that the Entity can warp the perceptions of the more good natured killers to make them see someone they hate and would kill instead of the actual survivors.
It’s always been a thing that the Entity can influence someone’s personality. It’s been shown with Spirit and somewhat with Artist too. I’m very much interested in the fact we have a Killer who never really was evil at first and we have a survivor who was evil. Genuinely really loving this. Gives me hopes for further more cruel survivors.
