Scan tool isn't necessary. You can just put in service mode by holding the parking brake button

I found that out recently,I made a separate video about it on how to put it in service mode

mine is a 2021 and could not get the service mode to come on no matter how many times I sat there and peddled the brake and pushed the button, how ever I do have a rear brake replacement option on the dash which can be reset

@@melvinpaul9302you have to have the ignition on. Not running and not a short press that turns the radio on. You need to hold the start button with foot off brake for about 8-10 seconds. Then when the dash powers up you hold the brake and the parking brake button simultaneously until the brake service lamp starts blinking then remove your foot off the brake and then push the parking brake button again and you’ll hear them retract.

U failed to mention that the truck needs to be in brake service mode before compressing brake, I have all types of brake codes now

Sorry to hear that, but I did mention that in the beginning of the video that Do not attempt to do that job if you don't have a scan tool to put it in service mode

Take it to the dealer , they probably recalibrate it if it is not broken internally

You must work for a dealer, this is why we watch vids so we don't have to go to the dealer, and get bill 150 $ for sman tool use.

You can easily put the truck in service mode WITHOUT the dealer. I’ve done it twice now my friend.

Great video but you don’t show the caliber reassembly, does the piston sit flush to the bore? Mine still sticks out 1/8 “ and will not retreat any further, I also have seen that the truck has to be running when you put it in brake service mode…I cannot fit the caliper over the two new pads, it’s about an 1/8” shy of clearing the new pads…also did you remove the e brake motor to reinstall the calipers? It seems like that’s necessary, I do appreciate the video but showing the tricky parts would really add to it, Thank you for posting!

Thanks for watching 😊 ,i made that video a while back, I'm aware that video is not perfect ,I will do another one with the tips and tricks, it is ok for the piston to stick out a little bit, the ebrake motor doesn't have to be removed from the caliper.hope that help
