League of Legends has released over 150 playable characters over the years. Some of which are fan favorites, while others aren't very well liked within the community. But some champions generate stronger opinions than others. Today we are taking a look at some of most hated champions. And yes, Yuumi is number 1.

Slalom is super annoying but I have had success using vex against her if you play carefully.
I personally think akali is one of the easiest assasins to play against. He r range is predictable and obvious. When she uses w you know the general area she is at and on top of that her e is a skillshot. All you gotta do is think ahead moat akali players are the most predictable people on the planet.
The funny thing about Seraphine is:
She was hated when she came to LoL, THEN get much love in LoR due to her great redesign, THEN hated again in LoR because she dominates the meta with many variants of her deck (worst is her w/ Ezreal). But she’s been nerfed, hard by increasing her level up condition by 50% and raising the cost of Back Alley Bar.
Keep in mind that by that time, the top 15 leaderboard are filled with her and her variant from every region. I think there's 2 that's not included and it's Frejlord and Demacia, but she could works fine with that.
If your card has 9 different region combination and every single one is dominating, then your card is busted. Endless RNG BS is all this card is and she doesnt run out of fcking cards to play.
Well, to be honest, 40-50% of Sera's domination bound with mana cheating. If bar( and 5 mana 2/2) never exist, she'd can be a fun card
LoR fixed most of the issues I had with Seraphine, like the ridiculous hair. But yeah her dominating the meta was HORRIBLE

I don't really care who the most annoying kit-wise is, but just the idea of Riot creating Seraphine purely for selling skins is something I still can't get over.
Plus we all know that K/DA Seraphine is the real Seraphine while the base Seraphine is just an imitation to make sure she can be picked as an actual champion.
Remember when she had a 52% winrate but they still buffed her because her prestige didn't sell well?

The second big part of why yuumi is hated really much is that in silver but mostly bronze and iron. She is used by demotion bots to lose games and try to get the accounts to iron 4. These accounts are worth 30 to 80 euros which might not be that much but in some countries that beats minimum wage. Yuumi is by far the easiest way to dodge being detected as afk or not trolling while still demoting.

I think seraphine was supposed to be a sona rework/overhaul but riot decided to hold back and just made her a separate hero
if they rework sona i will leave league entirely

They might have compatible spells but they are completely different, Sona scales with her passive, she has no skillshots besides her ult, the difficult part of her kit is coordinating her passive... seraphine is a completely different champ lol just skillshots, no scaling passive, no constant healing

New champs are so infuriating, they must all have 5 dashes, healing, some sort of invulnerability or stealth, cc, etc. etc. while also having some sort of ""unique gimmick"" that makes them just so fucking annoying to face.
What amazes me its that they (riot) seems to make sure that the champ its as infuriatingly annoying as humanly possible without outright making them op (annoying =/= op)
Like, sure, give him scale and scape tools, i dont care, but why you have to give that champ so much BS stuff so he can just win because sheer bs?
A single "passive" a new champ haves today used to be the core identity of older champs, and not just long ago but just 4 years ago or even less.
also the fact that when you see "those" players playing new champs you immediately know what champs they main.
Its like, when i see an Irelia/yone/fiora sweating her ass off i immediately know that MOST LIKELY she also plays all of the other bs champs like Akali, samira, fiora etc etc etc, most likely also thinks that new champs are ok and that anyone who critics them its just bad, also defends riot and think that its fine to only have 2 maps and 2 game modes.
Just like in the past other companies wanted "the call of duty audience" riot wants "the tryhard audience" and makes champs JUST for them.

even older champ with ""boring"" gameplay get reworked (rammux, voli, ryze, fiddle, etc) to feel fresh and unique, even if that's mean adding more tool to the champ. Like fiddle "passive fear" that can proc on your ult, that let you burn a good chunk of every hp bar close to you while the CC. Ofc, it's strong every champ in the game are getting better and better, with much more complex kit, coz that's just how it work
just to say "facts" the last """easy""" champ release was actually in mid-2014.(i'm taking here braum as an exemple coz since then i feel like almost everychamp as his own "unique gimmick" that make them strong (Gnar, Azir, Tahm Kench, Kled, Ornn, Pyke, etc))
that's just a normal thing for a game that lived this long that older and new champ need to be attractive to play, the compliocated thing is how to implement them correctly in a meta with 162 other characters (with proper balance, but let's be honnest, it's only get more harder each time)
sry for my poor english, isn't my native languange but was just trying to explain my point on why new champ "overloaded" kit isn't necessarily a bad thing, and dosen't make them broken either (last exemple is K'Sante, last champ release, great kit, with mobility, shield, anti-CC, CC, burst, omnivamp, etc, who's actually the 19 worst winrate champ)

Sion its easy to play, and its NOT frustrating to face (besides that one patch years ago and inting sion, but that nothing to do on the champ itself)
Warwick its stupidly fun to play, yes, its somewhat frustrating but i dont think anyone hates him nowhere near as close to someone like.. Akali, or Nilah
Same goes for TONS of "older, simpler, easier" champs.
Poppy, Lucian (i do hate him), jhin, kindred, annie, Fiddle, galio, ezreal, MF, Braum, Sona, Morde, etc etc etc etc are champs that are fairly ok to play against (outside of hard counter) fun to play as (unless you need 1200 RPM to have fun) and are almost always balanced.
but take Ashkan for example, the Grapple hook its a GENIUS idea, unique and fun, fair to play against too, but then they go and add stealth, 2 passives, 1 revive, shield and true dmg. Why? Hes already fun JUST with the grapple hook and 1 of those passives.
You dont need to over-charge and over-design a champ to make him fun TO PLAY AS.
You just need creativity, something that Riot seems to lose more and more each patch.

She is fair to play against tbh,you getting caught in her ult either requires you to be dumb or good set up.
@@leloyqy all newer champs have at least 3 dashes in their kit that are longer than her ults diameter not to mention ms overall has increased so you can basically just run out of her ult. She has only skill shots which again, makes all newer champs just counter her straight up.

Respect Asol too. Out of his 0.3% ban rate I feel like at least 0.15% is people banning it because someone on their own team wanted to play him.

I find it extremely funny (as a DOTA player) that Yuumi is widely hated and played, while Dota’s equivalent Io is barely played and entirely forgotten about. The difference between the two of them? Io isn’t immune while linked.
Pokemon unite had a similar one in their game and it became way too overpowered when zacian got released

I personally thought she was going to be similar to Abathur from heroes of the storm. Hidden and helping, but completely vulnerable if a jungler wanted to go on the hunt.

Interesting video first of all but I don't believe ban rate = amount of hate necessarily.
for eg. Morgana is more likely to get banned more than yuumi because she counters a vast majority of engage supports
Yeah banrate =/= hate. Sometimes it's because they're too strong.
If ban=hate then Kassadin and Mordekaiser were the most hated champion at some point in the past.
@@ReigoVassal agree in terms of hate, Seraphine is definitely the most hated Champion, Kassadin and Morde have a really cool lore behind them, even Teemo hate wasn't on the same scale as her, meanwhile Seraphine on release is an insert character with no actual relevance in the settings, they tried to retconned and flesh her lore as much as possible but still to this day I refused to use her.

Teemo is hated for several reasons. He's contribute little to nothing during teamfight, have free invisibility, and he throws landmines that just really unfun to play against. There's some reason why he is called Satan.

Ban rate is more of a sign on popularity tbh. Why waste a ban on a champion everyone hates? Nobody is goona ban Skarner, Corki, Taliah, Galio or Ivern..
I love the idea of Yuumi a lot (probably a large part of it is my cat bias though). Unfortunately I think it was always going to be hard to implement a character that latches onto other characters without making that character either useless or unfun to play against.
the latching bit can stay, as long as her Q, E and R require her to come out. Also, right now, that cat is a sona clone nr 2(seraph being first clone)
Angela from MLBB fits the bill pretty well I'd say. They aren't useless and they aren't unfun to play against.

katarina can do the same but quicker. Samira was actually 4 items in that game (shieldbow, IE, LDR, collector) and just found an opportunity to stack passive on Ornn and get the fastest S ranking onto the low health zed to get resets. This game was also master/gm lobby so let’s not try and convince ourselves that Samira is broken, she isnt
I say that she gets shut down more easy then a kat, kat just teleports everywhere and if she builds ad it’s annoying and impossible to build defense against it because item damage in the game is so dumb

@@emanuelbuenop riot added way too much damage in the game and I personally don’t like using champs that I think are cheap and it sucks losing to a person that been feeding all game but once the person like kat gets 1-2 items they just shred you and can miss almost their entire kit, If ad item kat didn’t exist there would be a lot less people playing her
I don’t like katarina being able to even build shieldbow and divine sunderer and have it even be more effective than some ad champs
The thing with yuumi is the invulnerability.
Dota has a chain healing hero that is so perfect (IO/wisp) because the survivability of the hero is based on the users positioning, and ability to teleport out or in at the right time. And you have to have amazing map awareness and positioning

Recent Patch Update: Yuumi got some changes that might make her more bearable. The heal on E is a shield now. She no longer gives bonus stats just for being attached. And there's a stacking 'Friendship' gauge which will empower Yuumi for staying with the same champ, probably to encourage staying with the botlaner instead of going jungle support at halfway. So maybe she won't be so hated now. But probably not.

Legit, I used to play Yuumi occasionally for laughs, safe to say I haven't done that after they reworked her.
I personnally dislike any champions with no counterplay. I remember the lethality yi only played to q, obviously the invincible cat, the one shot hecarim, the one shot udyr lethality. I think unless there is some sort of range limitation, damage limitation or playstyle limitation (slow pushers etc), then a champion is not balanced. But tbh, the main issue were the items like hydra and claw that actually made those limitations void
Honestly a lot of the issues in league currently are caused by how broken the items are and how unbalanced they can be. And since riot can't tune items enough since if you nerf items too much some champs will just end up becoming not viable to play or feel awful to play since a lot of the champs now are so reliant on items rather than their own kit to some degree.

my (noob) experience against Naafari is that if you're an adc, and alone, and Naafari appears on the screen, whatsover? you're dead. she just presses W and jumps to you.
Something I like to refer to yuumi as is a item.
You can just go to the one teammate that is ahead and attack to it and with you adaptive power bonus, healing, attackspeed, slow etc.. while being unattackable you basically just become like 2 items for that champion.
You had problems with a 6 item fullbuild yasuo? how about a 8 item full build yasuo.

I literally got fed by a yone 17-0 when I was playing ezrael as soon as he got two items I ended up getting fucking slaughtered in three hits
I literally got a Quadra and he ganked and killed me in 3 hits it pissed me off for a week
a good tank/bruiser + a yuumi with good items = instawin (spoken from experience) lol

I remember back on the old league forums (really old) I had an idea for a support character almost identical to Yuumi. I got a ton of hate saying it wouldn't work because of the lack of counterplay to someone that can't be interacted with. Years later we get Yuumi and I realized I deserved all that hate. (I was in middle school at the time of making that post) so Riot must have some kids designing champs

Comfy in Pokemon Unite traumatize me when zacyan was released there was almost no counterplay unless you had an entire team cc'ing the fuck out of them
And zacyan was extremely powerful and downright toxic the entire game im surprised it even got put in the game
Aside from the toxicity sorrounding the game, there were 2 reasons why i quited the game 9 years ago, Zed and Yasuo. Seeing the nightmarish champions released this days, i'd say i dodged a bullet
Tbh i feel so scarred when Zed is on enemy and so relieved when he is my team. To this point every Zed player i had either in my team or enemy, they were playing well

@@MasakanSolaris its not because she is annoying, its because the cat breaks the game. Lux is an annoying champ, fiora is annoying and strong, but fiora isn’t the most contested pick in pro play. Fiora doesn’t guarantee a win late game.

what bothers me as a mage player is that samira's W isnt just a 360 windwall, its an AURA so even if you decide to risk getting inside it to damage her it wont matter. interactive
Maybe it's cuz I'm a LoL boomer, but I'm surprised you didn't have pre-rework Yorick. Fighting against Yorick top lane when all he did was summons ghouls was the most obnoxious, anti-fun I've ever had. That's why I decided to main him and make others suffer like I did :)

Wanna know what's worse about the Yuumi 95% pick/ban in pro play?
During that time; Reddit and the Community were complaining she was underpowered due to her abysmal (At the time) Solo-que Win Rates, which caused Riot to buff her when she was a dominant force in Professional Play already.
People today wonder why Riot centers a lot of balance patches around Pro-Play and the top percents of players. I like to think this is one of the reasons.
They've nearly always balanced around the top part of the game. The only time that they didn't was when there wasn't really a pro scene to talk about.
personally Zeri is one of my more disliked champions, cool concept, bad execution, too much mobility, makin her uncatchable, and her free overpowered Talon wall hack is just too much

its kind of wild that nilah just passively gets more exp by last hitting minion in order to combat that she is a melee adc meaning that if she just becomes slightly ahead or wins lane it can snowball into a real problem since she can just level up faster than you especially when paired with zilean

The issue with Zed is current Duskblade, 20% increased dmg on all skills and if he tower dives you and kills you, he gets to run away untargetable... also helps him a lot in team fights where he can go all in, knowing he will survive.
Zed has been bullshit for a long time though. I think it's mainly his ultimate. It does a lot of damage and makes him untargetable to dodge shit as he engages and gives a escape as well. You compare it to other assassin ults like Talon's and it's a no brainer why Zed is banned a lot and Talon isn't even if they can both be strong. Zed feels like there is less counterplay, especially if the Zed player is good at the champ.

I truly believe yuummi should be like abatur from heroes of the storm, abatur puts a buff on an ally and casts skills from that "buff" (one skillshot, one aoe damage and one shield in the buffed ally), so that he doesn't just sit in base all game his passive is so that a "minion" spawns from him and goes to lane, it has a limited duration so he needs to be close, and while he doesn't have a buff on an ally he has an ability that puts a trap (similar to a teemo shroom) but with a very high range, long cool down and low duration, his r is interesting (in HotS every heroe has 2 ults, you can only choose 1 per game) one makes so he creates and controls an exact copy on an ally (that spawns near that ally, the skill is global) and other that makes a "super minion" that he can control by puting the buff on it, the more this minion farms the stronger it get (gains Hp and damage and has a cap)
I'm not saying riot should just make yuumi into abatur (they already did something similar with A Sol, he is similar to death wing in a sense), but take inspiration in one of the most interesting characters from HotS, and in a way where it doesn't destroy the balance of the game.
The main thing would be the whole "you can't hit her" thing, making her "main body" vulnerable at all times would incentivise clever positioning instead of mechanics, which is the deal with yuumi.

Bro have you never played HotS? Abathurs literally always sit in the hearthstone and buff an ally permanently grabbing talents that make them a fucking raidboss.
Yuumi is already Abathur but less bs tbh, but more bs in that her gameplay is literally just press one button, while Abathur has to have insane multitask to be effective

The rioter who designed seraphine literally designed her around his ex girlfriend because he thought it would impress her. They photoshopped her into the guy's vacation photos and created this whole online persona. Her entire release was literal psychosis.
I always say the best way to fix Yuumi is to do something about that invulnerability. Like there zero drawback for her being attached to a champion, it’s only positives for her team even though it technically makes any team fights a 5v4 in appearance.
the Yuumi dynamic is funny, since she's balanced on paper only. Like she's balanced if every player on both teams are of equal skill level and have fairly even matchups.
By that I mean, its like Riot doesn't get that being statistically balanced means nothing when a champions' potential heavily leans in one direction. Whether the skill of the user/team/enemy decide the outcome of the fights, ideally it should be a mix of all three.
Granted it's been years since I've played LoL, but I'm very surprised Sivir has so many skins, and that Annie wasn't among the top 5 for having the most skins.
Sivir became meta back in 2021, when ghost became a viable champ spell for AD carries. Since she had it built into her kit and w/ Hecarim or Wirwick being op too, they were strong.
did play league since season 3 but when I heard the nasus only pushing top and telling you his stacks it put smile on my face. Dont regret quitting it and never coming back :D
The comments about Yummi are so right. The thing that league community is super toxic and you have player attached to you all the time is super stresful to me when some one judges your moves all the time and use pings for all your mistakes. I know you can mute or dont care but still i feel not comfortable playing with Yummi losing my good senses of the game like some parasite controling my brain.
As long as Riot is able to keep some form of the attach mechanic without it being as broken as it is now, I don't care how Yuumi is reworked. I do agree that her current W is poorly executed in the sense that it is unfun to play against and basically has no counter, and is unfun to play with due to the sheer number of bots and people thinking they can get away with not focusing on the game and coming back every now and again to press E. I feel like Blizzard's implementation of this kind of mechanic with Abathur in Heroes of the Storm, where instead of directly attaching to allies, he instead attaches and pilots a familiar on his allies while leaving his actual body vulnerable hidden somewhere on the map, is straight up better and more balanced.
Yuumi deserves it. Idk if anyone ever played Dawngate by EA, it was their attempt at LOL during the fad. There was a character called Mina, look up some videos, she was the OG yuumi, but what balanced her, is she was designed as a supporting enchanter, that TOOK DAMAGE while attached, spreading the damage around, while having the shielding, poke, and utility of a support. That is all they need to do to fix yuumi, shift her to an enchanter that acts more like a Braum, absorbing damage away from the adc and dispersing it between the two, making burst difficult, and giving actual counterplay to the character.
Also Dawngate had "offest soft-lock camera" look it up on youtube, I always wished league had it.

Talking about Lux ulti, not only it can penetrate Yasuo’s wind wall, you also cannot stop Lux from casting her ultimate even tho you already cc-ed her. Literally hook, stun or airborne won’t stop her from casting.
Mechanically, it's not projectile (It's a freakin light laser) and it's not a channeled ability, it's instant. If it was a channeled ability it would be stopped easily.
Yuumi is now balanced. Her Q is noticeably weaker and harder to control/hit and doesn't overstay its welcome. Her ult can now be aimed in different direction per shot but the fire rate has been lowered so it's easier to escape/react to it.
She's barely even picked now and when she is she's not very impactful (Speaking from a Plat 2 perspective).
imo yuumi rework made her way more boring but this is my opinion

im gold but imo yuumi is really shit to play against, i play supports like sera, lux, taric and nautilus, and with each of these its pretty hard to land a stun since shield gives yuumis adc ton of move speed. especially with twitch, ezreal or vayne yuumi is pretty strong. also enemy adc with yuumi, doesnt take much damage since yuumi can just shield and then heal if he gets the auto on me or adc.

Mina from Dawngate who probably served as an inspiration for Yuumi took 40% of the damage the host received, so that is the point they need to do about Yuumi. That you can burst out the cat of her target to have her feel the danger to die in her target or if the host is dead, that she's ejected with 20% HP. This is the fundamental flaw: Make it that you can decide if you want to ignore her host or maybe burst someone else and force her inside that host to let her run the danger of getting damaged alongside.
That and one of her strongest abilities was her leaving her host for a pretty high damage AoE that had CC attached to it where she landed, so despite her being so dependent on another character, she was a big risk/reward character that set up some good combos.
The Yamikaze replay at the end killed me 😆😆

I think with her current rework in the pipeline rn, plus making the dmg that the person she is connected to taking half damage and yuumi taking the other half would fix some issues. Would force her to disconnect to heal
Or maybe have it so that if the champion she's attached to takes enough damage(maybe a secondary HP bar) or if she's attached to one person long enough she automatically disembarks and she can't immediately reattach to that same champion for some time(per champ CD).

Hell, it would've been less worse had they not made ANY lore for her and just left it with the skin lore... oh and she's also Sona 2.0 and is actually quite a pain in the ass to play against.

Yuumi is an angel turned devil. Quite literally.
On release everyone adored the idea of such a cute champion from the getgo. A cat on a book. Perfect. No-one hated the idea.
Gameplay wise on release, no one liked her because she didn't actually do anything and was only good on hyper scaling champions.
But time went on and they made her into... well- a Mythic item. Literally didn't adjust her WHEN mythic items became a thing- which lead to her becoming the oppressive cat who lasted so long. Satan of botlane.
Then Riot says something so infuriating that I'm sure Yuumi mains and non-mains alike want to fucking explode over.

The thing about beginner champions like Ashe and Garen is that they have abilities and motifs present on other champions. Yuumi does not.

I actually love the base concept of a parasite champ like Yuumi. However, with the infinite fun and creative things they could have pulled for such a champ they chose to just make it a stats and heal bot. why?! that's the most boring and uninteractive thing they could have chosen! It baffles me that they took such a simple stupid route with such an outlandish concept. And to top it off she can just stay on her target forever. Why? why oh why.

the main reason why zed is the most consistently banned champion is because while assassins are traditionally balanced through the fact that if they jump in to kill someone at a bad time, they can't get back out and explode like the champ they just nuked.
zed, however, is one of the SINGLE SAFEST CHAMPS IN THE GAME.
no matter what, if the zed player plays well, there is barely any way (aside from literally stunlocking them for 3-4+ seconds straight) to stop them from instantly teleporting out after nuking your midlaner, your carry, your support, even your jungler.
he is a very consistently high damage champ as well and can likely nuke not one, but multiple champs each time he goes in as his damage is not limited to single targets like, say, talon, naafiri, pyke, so on.
so you end up with a hyper carry assassin that can consistently kill at LEAST one of the enemy's highest damage champs (jungle, mid, adc) and then get out scot free to any one of the shadows he threw out during that fight (you cant even camp them, because he can have multiple) on top of this, the prevalence of ability haste in assassin items makes it so zed can tp back to a clone and throw another to tp again in like 4 seconds.

For yuumi they could just make her no longer able to attach and build her kit out to stand out on its own.
Or at least make latching on a short, temporary ability. Maybe an ultimate so it’s up there balance wise with Kindred or Zilean etc.
i have generally seen three different suggestions to make her latching fairer
1: have a time limit on how long she can stay attached
2: remove the buffs that come with it after a certain amount of time
3: reduce the amount of safety she has when the carry is attacked, either by forcing her off somehow or having her take some of the damage her carry takes

You cant literally do ANYTHING to her as long as she is attached to someone. Let her be attached to a challenger ADC player thrown into a Platin or Gold game. Whilst attached, the player could LITERALLY leave the room for a few minutes without any fear.
Thats totally absurd champ design and I have no Idea how this came through back then. Smite doesnt have someone with this kit as well as Dota. Only Leageu of Legends.

yuumi is so fun to play, i play her at quite a high level of skill and enjoy it. but i understand how some lazier players can take advantage and just scale as the game goes on, i also understand when i am ahead on yuumi the game is very frustrating for the enemy team, but what champ doesnt frustrate you when they havent died at 30 mins? i love her playstyle but i also understand she needs to be changed for her to keep exsisting in the game. i just hope the changes arent too alienated from the playstyle i enjoyed.
she also encourages botting since she can literally just attach and spam e once health hits a certain point. You literally can not interact with her unless she wants you to or you kill whoever she is attached to first (which if its a tank, goodluck)

@@Valigarmanda if she wants to use her passive or w at all she has to de-attach, giving you an opportunity to cc her which will stop her from reattaching for a whole 10 seconds. more than enough time to kill her. in other words she must put herself in a position to be one shot if she wants to ever use 2/5ths of her kit. sorry if the yuumis you encounter never use those 2/5ths. but thats most likely in low elo.
In part people fail to think that yuumi should be seen as an hypercarry support that you should take advantage in early game and how dependable she is from her passive. But ngl she has been overly strong in certain moments.
This is more of an item being messed up, but dr mundo is too op with heartsteel. He gets so much health from his ult and you just need like 2 other items to be basically invincible, then sprinkle some more items for speed and damage and you won.
Yeah riot need to buff anti heal more , I don’t think mundo is op or anything he is like aatrox insane amount of healing but he can’t 1vs5 effectively like aatrox
Dr Mundo is definitely way too OP with the right items. There was a teamfight where he 1v5-ed us and lived, giving enough time for his teammates to come in and take 3 of us without losing a significant portion of his health.

Yasuo has the same problem as Vayne, Riven and Yone. You don't ban them so the enemy doesn't pick them. You ban them so your TEAMMATES don't pick them. That bit about them being 10-0 on the enemy team and 0-10 when on your team I swear to god it's true.
As a person who played mlbb first and then lol, I found yuumi to be an exact replica of Angela, when I found our she can attach herself to an allie and use her skill while being invulnerable, I thought she wouldn't be that big of a threat until I faced her in. Higher ranks, but I thought it was because I'm not used to playing against her, until I tried using her, to me she was actually kinda fun, in my opinion, I think she got too much hate
4:25 can't be accurate. Galio has been below 1% ban rate for many, many patches, currently sitting at a 0.2-0.3% (depending on source), but he's not in your list.
Galio is secretly broken and is a champ nobody think about banning until they realize that it's a horrible matchup. Vlad vs Galio is a instant loss early game.
@@negate4828 I picked Galio solely beceause of his Gatekeeper skin, which I still think is the best skin he has, but I discovered that he IS cracked. He is what finally got me from silver to plat. Still low elo, but it is huge for me.
I have played League for 2 years now and literally (Im not even kidding/exaggerating) never seen Galio picked by anyone but me. Even god damn Skarner has been picked more. This is EUW though, as far as I know they love him in Korea.
@@williamowens2063 Yeah Galio is a very good mage counterpick much like Kassadin. I fail to see how Orianna can even play the game against galio. Like I said Vlad can't do anything early game tho once he scales he can beat Galio. Viktor would probably be annoyed but Galio can't do anything unless either he flashes on Viktor. Don't see how Kassadin could beat him. Akali would probably struggle. Though mages is where it ends. Anybody who's ad steam rolls Galio because his kit is meant to counter ap not ad. Talon and Zed would rip him to shreds. Qiyana is garbage rn but a good one can do so stuff. My brain is rotting rn because it's 3 am where I live so I can't think of any other ad mid lane. I know there has to be more tho. Anyways Galio will always be a solid pick just made sure you build some ap on him because he's meant to be a champ like Ornn not a Nautilus. Something like Demonic would do good on him. He doesn't have any abilites with enough damage to justify him going full tank unlike Ornn. So ig he would be closer to someone like Maokai. I played Riven during a time where she was pretty much OP. It felt amazing to destroy others as her. And instead of her getting nerfed, it was always Irelia getting nerfed.

I was so sad when I first heard people saying delete Yuumi, I started playing waaay back in 2015, then quit until about 2019. I was instantly into her design and gameplay. She helped me learn about other characters because I was able to watch and see what they did, and it definitely made me a better player. I can agree she was broken, I watched my friend play her Jungle and win lmao, but I still love her concept and design.
Also hated Nasus for the longest time, Nuke Nasus ruined him for me waay back in the day lmao.

Me too! I tend to lean towards being a background support, and Yuumi was perfect for my playstyle.
@naaaaa___ Yeah, she was easy to use, and I played with friends who were hard-core in ranked, I wasn't. So when I played with them, it was against pros. Plus the smerfs were horrible, and way back in 2015 there weren't RUclips channels they have now on Champs, so in 2019 when she rolled around it was nice to see combos and stuff while my friends explained the other characters. Obviously, being a noob at the time, I couldn't even think of playing a champion I liked when I was targeted and instantly killed.
Now I'm used to playing against really good people, I'm also still a big support main, but I haven't touched Yuumi in years. I mostly focus on Soraka, Rakan, Lulu, and Thresh. But I'm branching out to other lanes, I'm really interested in Jungle and Mid.
But I also stated too that Yuumi is very broken, and I think she has an awesome concept, but I would prefer if someone had a character that could knock back, etc. It would knock her off. Cool design could be better. She helped me in the beginning when I forgot what I was doing. Especially when the videos we have today weren't as accessible:DD

the thing about yuumi, is that the cat SHOULD NOT have left the concept stage AT ALL, it is a an enchanter.... and enchanters you are supposed to target them to deny/counter them... but surprise you can't target it. This champion should have stayed as a concept and nothing more.
you touched upon a good point there. a large part of a champ being hated can come from negating the weakness related to their class. in this case, enchanters are supposed to be easy to kill if caught out of position, but yuumi can be invincible as long as she has a teammate nearby. similarly, assassins should excel at frontloaded single target damage, yet qiyana has good AOE damage and akali can do well in prolonged fights. say what you want about darius and sett, but at least they are held back by the general weaknesses of juggernauts
@@Underworlder5 the point is kind of negated by the fact that the riot also makes dmg so ridiculous to the point where support is the least played for obvious reasons like getting deleted within a second to any mage or assassin makes enchanters incredibly frustrating to play and also why Zed is banned constantly when he can get in and out instantly killing any squishies with no worries. I don't even play Yuumi but it is annoying that people want to nerf supports the second they start being consistently useful other than engage tanks like Leona( who is my favorite to play btw).
One of the most hated and divisive champions as well is easily old Poppy. She's what would happen if you distilled the purest concentration of late-game scaling and make it into a champion. She has thw worst early game out of anh champion in League (even today), but has the strongest late game because of her 7 second immunity.
I love aurelion when i play it because if you don't win now against aurelion you won't be able to win later and you can always play defensive because he can run away easily if he can't fight and you will be able to touch him only when he wants you to touch him.
