Well, partially because he just hasn't found the champion fun in a while, but a lot of it has to do with the expectations put on him because of this one game. Aside from a few off-meta games from Caps, Huhi is the only player in the west to ever seriously give Aurelian Sol a chance, and that made him the ambassador of the champion. If other players were more willing to experiment, he probably wouldn't have that much weight on his shoulders, but he hates going into a game thinking "this is MY champion and I have to carry this game because if I don't steamroll then I'm going to get absolutely flamed." @@aleksandarpetrovic5727 they weren't like the small passive abilities they are now. The where just stats. Like every stat in the game, AD, AP, atk speed, MR, Armor, crit, etc, every single stat. And basically you had like 30 slots to use. So you could say use 30 attack speed runes and start the match with a fat attack speed boost. Or maybe you do some AD some Crit and some move speed. You could do any combination of runes to add all kinds of different stat combos. Most people would always take at least 1% crit rune so any champ you play has a small crit chance even at lvl one. You could get much much more unique and creative and try out weird shit. Some where flat amounts some were percentages too.
@@saviorofs0ng and the worst part was it was usually better to just spend the LP on having a 1% better attack than buying a new champ, and also everyone else already has 3-4% more stats than you at level one because of this, have fun.
Those comments about Udyr pretty much sums up the majority of the League player base. Their opinions are entirely dictated by the most recent pro game they watched. “A strong top laner should be like a strong shot of semen. It needs to be aggressive, thick, but most importantly it needs to be sticky” That’s quite the analogy 💀
the way you were explaining past metas felt very structured and analytical so “a good toplaner needs to be like a good shot of semen” caught me completely offguard
This guys is being just an idiot. The pro players play what wins that all there is too it. If a champion is easy they will still play it if it wins pro games. Vi was played all the time in season 3 pro play.
Cba watching 30 min content. Xerath is the only genuinely confusing one here, I guess because he's highly vulnerable and doesn't get much chip damage pre fight in coordinated pro play so half his power is just gone, just better options. Shaco is feast or famine but turned up to 11 because whether he's fed or not he won't get many single target assassination chances in highly warded pro play plus he falls off like a horse with a broken leg. Teemo is alright just suboptimal, to maintain usefulness you have to preprepare the location for the team fight in advance which will get swept unless you have full zone control but if you have that why are you playing teemo it'd be harder to do with him plus he lacks hard cc. Hard aoe cc seems to be preferred from a top laner. Tryndamere? Enjoy the ganks pre 6 and the hard cc post 6 and the kiting of a top 0.001% adc in a game where every character just releases with more mobility than trynd can deal with.
"A strong top laner should be like a strong shot of semen, it needs to be aggresive, thick, but most importantly it needs to be sticky. Top laners need to be sticky in order to stay on an ADC's face. Carry champions need to feel panic and worried when you are on their face, and you need to be sticky enough that one of their teammates has to help them wipe you off their face."
Minor mistake: Aurelion Sol was absolutely meta in 2016. Alongside Thaliya. 2016 midlane was all about clearing waves and roaming fast, and A-Sol was absolutely busted at this, due to his W and Q giving him insane waveclear and his E granting him one of the best roaming ability in the game.
You can always boil it down to tuning. We’ve seen Tryndamere be picked a lot in pro play after some numbers tuning. If Teemo’s base stats were increased, eventually he’d be picked too
Its not about just numbers, tryndamere uses them extremely well because of his ultimate and e, teemo has a harder time doing that especially when he doesnt give a whole lot to his team when looking at other champions, nearly all of the time team composition is way more important than one champion having great base stats, teemo gives a lot of intel and area denial which is rarely useful other than that he denies adcs but has a hard time getting in (due to being squishy and not that sticky) while tryndamere is a potential carry and a champion that can deal with adcs especially well (i think what really pushed him into pro play was navori quickblades, i wasnt around that time so i dont know how much spear of shojin affected him)

@@alex2005z I totally agree, but the pros dont. They categorically deny that certain champions could ever be viable in pro play, but one small patch and boom, everyone plays it:
that trynda not aged well in this video haha
I'm surprised you didn't talk about Pantheon's sudden disappearance as an example for junglers after patch11.2/11.3
The video aged like milk. Teemo is now a champ played by the pros!
Yeah, A D D make a huge demonstration of how to troll with Teeml in worlds
So happy that Donghuap's sexual innuendos are back
Like - I know edgy metaphors are kinda your thing and have no issue with them, but the pangender one really doesn't track the way you think it does 😅
Technically, they're edgy similes.
The amount of ads in this video surpasses the pick rate for all the champions mentioned
Ok but xerath got picked last week
these analogies are on another level
"A strong top lane should be like a strong shot of seemed, aggressive, thick and sticky"💀💀
What do you mean, Garen's kit isn't meant for pro play??
I miss the old rune system. It let you build unique builds with creativity. The new runes are cool too but I would like to see a system that combines the old and new systems.
What was different?
@@aleksandarpetrovic5727 they weren't like the small passive abilities they are now.
Wasnt the old rune system pay to win?
@@saviorofs0ng and the worst part was it was usually better to just spend the LP on having a 1% better attack than buying a new champ, and also everyone else already has 3-4% more stats than you at level one because of this, have fun.
@@eloelo6944 Pay-to-skip* learn the difference ffs.
2:43 say that again DongHuap?
Those comments about Udyr pretty much sums up the majority of the League player base. Their opinions are entirely dictated by the most recent pro game they watched. If you pick a champion that wasn't one of the 20 champions picked or banned in that game, you are trolling, and each of those 20 champions is and always has been the most amazing champions in the game and people who doubted Trick2G 6 years ago should be ashamed.
I love how Viego is seen in the list of least played champions in pro play
he has 0 pick/ban because he's he's been removed from pro play (for now) due to bugs. he just doesn't exist in the game for the time being. can't pick/ban a champ that's not there
It's funny because the boy was just released
Gwen here
“A strong top laner should be like a strong shot of semen. It needs to be aggressive, thick, but most importantly it needs to be sticky”
That’s quite the analogy 💀
DID NOT AGE WELL
0:14
That hit me like a truck...
I wanna cry...
I got recommended this after Showmakers Xerath
And yorick picked by oceania team at msi.
*They can't have fun, so its natural they only play meta*
the way you were explaining past metas felt very structured and analytical so “a good toplaner needs to be like a good shot of semen” caught me completely offguard
You should make a video talking about how Rekkles played ad kennen and why it worked out so good for him.
Oh shit I remember Ad kennen. That shit was slippery and had a ton of stuns
Who's Rekkles? Ad kennen is m5 Genja
"a strong top laner should be like A STRONG SHOT OF SEMEN" excuse me whaaaaaaaaaat
i remember faker playing yi mid in season 5 or 6 in lck :D
AP Yi was definitely a big pick for Alex Ich as well.
@@DevTech23 I always saw Alex Ich as the Kha’ Zix mid, AP Yi is Scarra all day.
This guys is being just an idiot. The pro players play what wins that all there is too it. If a champion is easy they will still play it if it wins pro games. Vi was played all the time in season 3 pro play.
you can't be more wrong about tryndamere tho he's good in pro plays
Damn right when I wake up. I wanna go back to sleep.
wake me up
can't wake up
Hold up, something about this "Seamen" metaphor doesn't feel right.
So glad that Donghuap's crazy analogies are back
Had to come back and watch this video after seeing Tryndamere mid or 'Tryndamid' was a meta pick.
Same xD
"Who cares if the master Yi has 300 CS"
Riot games: and I took that personally
I get the feeling you made this video before Tryndamere became popular in pro play 😅
man, old seraphine was so strong back in the day
Me, watching this while Tryndamere is one of the most-contested champs in the game: Huh
you missed hais mid teemo games which he used to destroy tsm by basically creating a minefield aroudn objectives so they coudl never contest.
More like “League of DONGumentary” amirite?!
tl;dr: Farming and scaling is overpowered and makes 80% of the game's possible strategies unviable because of it.
Shoemaker just picked xerath on msi finals
"A strong top laner should be like a strong shot of semen, it needs to be aggresive, thick, but most importantly it needs to be sticky. Top laners need to be sticky in order to stay on an ADC's face. Carry champions need to feel panic and worried when you are on their face, and you need to be sticky enough that one of their teammates has to help them wipe you off their face."
Leblanc as the only ranged assassin has finally been dethroned. Ufc what you say vex is 100% a mage assassin.
Damn now I kinda feel bad for Udyr.
Which I shouldn't, at all.
excuse me semen?
Yes sticky, thick, and in your face.
Showmaker: Am I a joke to you?
Bro wtf if this channel how didint i find it b4. Ur work is amaizing and the info is 10/10
Gg wp im ur n#1 fan
Rito then: We care for all players
Rito now: We only care for pros and money
You can always boil it down to tuning. We’ve seen Tryndamere be picked a lot in pro play after some numbers tuning. If Teemo’s base stats were increased, eventually he’d be picked too
No its just some players realized "tryndamere bad" was just a bad meme.
Its not about just numbers, tryndamere uses them extremely well because of his ultimate and e, teemo has a harder time doing that especially when he doesnt give a whole lot to his team when looking at other champions, nearly all of the time team composition is way more important than one champion having great base stats, teemo gives a lot of intel and area denial which is rarely useful other than that he denies adcs but has a hard time getting in (due to being squishy and not that sticky) while tryndamere is a potential carry and a champion that can deal with adcs especially well (i think what really pushed him into pro play was navori quickblades, i wasnt around that time so i dont know how much spear of shojin affected him)
2:42 bro you couldn't pay me to guess that this was written by donghuap LOL
Showmaker just used Xerath and won against RNG in MSI 2021 lmao.
It’s important to note that Leblanc also has a 3 second root duration lol
I just wasted 30 minutes of my life getting an answers to a question i never asked about a game i hate and an elo i will never reach since i am not asian. Yet i have nothing better to do on a Saturday at 6AM other than watching this video.
These jokes remind me of old donghuap
True
its actually stupid to pick illaoi into ornn
it's so much better to pick her into shen, renekton, akali, sion, garen, gp, jax, riven, gnar, urgot, morde, kled or aatrox since they can't win a match vs her and she is still strong
