I purchased a pair of Vapor Max at the height the pandemic because I hadn’t treated myself to a pair of high end sneakers in a few years. My youngest son had a pair he purchased to run and workout in ( he’s a D-2 point guard ) . When I asked him how they felt he said he didn’t care for them and they hurt his feet. I got a pair because I really liked them. I purchased them solely ( no pun intended ) for aesthetics . I like the snugness of the shoe but their are times when they feel like they are on the wrong foot and a tad hard not to mention on some surfaces they make you sound like an NBA point guard. Nike is good at manipulating stitching and color-ways that is unmatched by a lot of sneaker companies. The shoe , for me , is something I would only wear in the spring/summer . It really has no stability for your ankles so I could see someone turning an ankle. I thought it would be a much softer, bouncier shoe. I own a few pair of KD’s and they super comfy. I’m a chef and when I get off and slip my feet in my KD’s my feet feel so good and relaxed. I also own a pair Puma’s with SOFT SOUL padding ($29.99) and they are amazingly comfortable , like cloud nine comfortable. Again , Nike definitely pushed the envelope on aesthetics , as far as the Vapor Max and a lot of their shoes but I don’t see myself buying another pair unless they find a way to make them feel like my Puma’s ; even though I’ve purchased WAY MORE Nike products than Puma this may be my last pair unless I find them at an extremely thrifty price along with a great color-way ( 🤦🏽♂️ colored stitching combos are 🍌) that’s the only way I’d buy another pair. Nike has a few pair of basketball shoes from the early 80’s that I would like to research if you guys could help. Low key, I like the look of Jordan Reign and really wanted it but I’m apprehensive of VM with no midsole. I once seen Wanda Sykes sporting a pair of the VM Light 2, and was mind blown when I seen it.
My first impression of the sneaker was thinking someone applied clear caulking on the bottom of a sneaker. I had to touch the bottom of the shoe to prove myself and deranged humor wrong. As a retail worker, I have seen quite a few people wearing this sneaker to stand and walk for many hours (my pedometer can read that I walked seven to nine miles a day at work,) so my guess is there must be some comfort value involved.
i definitely think that the Vapormax is one of the most appealing shoes aesthetically. The first Vapormax 'Triple Black' that came out were a fail because they didn't have enough protection on the bubble due to them popping easily with a short amount of time. After, I noticed they added a thicker sole to the bubble because they noticed people were complaining about the first Vapormax popping quickly. Overall, I do think they will last because they are so rare and unique in the public eye. I get a lot of looks on my feet with these shoes. The Vapormax are a high end looking shoe. These shoes literally look like from another world. They are not for running, but I am excited to see how Vapormax evolves.
I was never a fun of VaporMaxs but I’ve got to buy some for cheap in UK so I thought about giving it a shot. Look, I appreciate the whole technology behind it. Coming from a small bubble in the 90s to the whole sole being a bubble. It’s amazing. I’ve walked with them on gravel, and still the bubble didn’t burst. But the uncomfortable factor exceeds by far the aspect of the shoe. My middle of sole always hurts when I wear them, they have 0 support there, my foot always bends in an awkward way. And for driving? They are the worst.
I use mine as a daily wearer when not at work ,love them , the zoom strobel model is perfection. So comfortable, but no , not the best for running love em for walking tho
I’ve had the vapormax they are right up there in comfortability with the ultra boost, however i don’t run in them because I am prone to turning my ankle when I wear them....they are a great lifestyle shoe
I own a pair and I use them to run around my block but I doubt anyone would seriously use them for more than a casual jog. I do like the arch suppose and cushion but it feels really different if you put your weight in the heel and can feel wobbly for sure. Not sure how durable they are long-term either, but they look sick!
Nike shock is huge here in Brazil, in most because of the brazilian funk music scene. In my hometow, existed a gang called "Nikeiros" and a lot of the guys in the gang have the First Nike shock.
It’s hard to say if the VaporMax will stand the test of time. At the time when Original Air Max came, I would not have ever thought it would become huge 30 years later. It was an ok running shoes at best at the time. Asic running shoes that were way more preferable from the runners I knew.
I’ve heard a lot of people say they’re comfortable... but even after I broke mine in I couldn’t find them comfortable. They’re terrible all around shoes but I still think they’re cool.
I don't wear any of my Vapormax to run/ do cardio in. But they are extremely comfortable to wear throughout the day. And they look good. My feet never get hot in them . Like a bouncy sock
Funny, I literally just got the Nike Air Max 1 Anniversary White/Hunter Green and White/Magna Jeez, talk about coincidence, I guess we are on the same wavelength...... Man I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!!! Thank You 🙏🙏😇😇🙏🙏
I think vapormax unit is just a good visual and marketing. I have a vapormax plus and she is unstable and uncomfortable (not the upper, just air unit). For comparaison, tn and prestos are very most comfortable and stable.
Awesome vid definitely added a lot to my knowledge on one of my fav shoes! Not great for running though and have played basketball in them a few times with rlly sketchy results.
The VaporMax are not for running. A kinesiology expert once told me this: "Those bagged air capsules that some companies use for shipping items can be as hard as a rock when you hit them against another surface. They sometimes break either the items or even the cardboard boxes. Imagine having those things on a shoe that will hit consistently, on every stride, every single joint of your body from your ankles to your spine." I've never seen a professional runner wearing those for running trainings or races. We will never see it. However, I like how the shoe looks and the style it gives to outfits. If you are looking at maximum comfort from Nike try shoes that have either React or ZoomX foam.
2nd homie in the comments, 🙏🏿looking forward to the video. I actually quite like the aesthetics of the Vapormax max, the Vapormax 360 though 🤤and the cactus.
I bought the pure platinum pair on release day and have worn them to the ground over the past! The soles are super durable and I’m only now starting to wear holes in the flyknit after almost a full 3 years of wear! I got so much use out of my pair and I loved them, but I ultimately replaced them with a pair of triple black Ultra Boosts as an every day shoe. I’d buy another pair of Vapor Max but I’m not a fan of the way the uppers look on the new models and I would definitely recommend staying away from pairs with clear air bubbles.
Absolute ankle breakers to begin with but as you break them in they get really comfy. I wouldn't say you could run a proper race in them but they aren't completely awful. Has some great energy return thats the first thing I noticed. (Vapourmax plus)
Always have been amazed on how much Nike Shox (including fakes) I see here in Brazil. Probably not an easy topic but would be interesting to compare most worn sneakers by country.
Ive got 2 pairs of VM 360's and they are a little unsteady compared to normal trainers but they are comfy if not a little small. I love the look and although I was nervous that they may burst they have been good for about 10 months now.

I’ve had the vapormax they are right up there in comfortability with the ultra boost, however i don’t run in them because I am prone to turning my ankle when I wear them....they are a great lifestyle shoe
Yeah I wouldn't run in pair of vapormaxes either haha it's low key dangerous
Nah, ultraboost is more comfortable
loved the video !!!! keep up the good work :)
Will do thanks 💪
Nike zoom fly SPs, vapor streets, the Pegasus, all amazing running shoes!
The Pegasus are legendary
There’s definitely a slight learning curve to walking in them for sure. I love mine, but couldn’t imagine actually running in them.
As big man it’s a no for me
@@NachoAverageFinds Same here. I’m 6’4” 315lbs, no way I’m running in those things. I’ll break a leg! Haha
Too narrow for me
3:19 i actually really like em and they're comfy as hell, but,it does feel unstable and had a weird cartoony sohnd when you walk in em
I don't wear any of my Vapormax to run/ do cardio in. But they are extremely comfortable to wear throughout the day. And they look good. My feet never get hot in them . Like a bouncy sock
yet again before a thousand! also great video
Thanks Victor! I like that profile pic foo! haha
@@NachoAverageFinds thanks i just did it as a joke.
Another great vid Well done 🙌
Thanks bro!
When I saw people runs with vapor max, my jaw was dropping🤣
Funny, I literally just got the Nike Air Max 1 Anniversary White/Hunter Green and White/Magna Jeez, talk about coincidence, I guess we are on the same wavelength......
Man I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!!!
Thank You 🙏🙏😇😇🙏🙏
Nice Lazaro! I wanted a pair of those Orange Air Max 1s tho haha to match this channel's orange theme
Please make a video on the MX-720-818's! They're my fave Nikes ^^
i love the aesthetics of these shoes. i own 2 pairs. They aren't made for running and i rolled my ankles a couple of times
Like always the vid is very clear and put together in a very good way
Yooooo vapormaxes were hype back in 2017. Really wanted an OG pair too :(
Yeah they’re we’re huge lol definitely the forefront of sneaker culture for a a little
@@NachoAverageFinds Nike did kinda ruin the sneaker with all the updated models. It fr just wasn't the same.
Amazing work once again
Thanks Mikey 🙌
Broo you give off toby from the office vibes so much
I always want a vapormax but I never find any I like. Great video guys.
I know what you mean! haha hard to find a good colorway huh
I own them, they are really comfy and I’m in the military I have to say I ran a 14:25 wit them on I felt more lite but that’s just me.
Great video as usual.
Thanks dude! Always love seeing your comments
2nd homie in the comments, 🙏🏿looking forward to the video. I actually quite like the aesthetics of the Vapormax max, the Vapormax 360 though 🤤and the cactus.
Stephen with the quickness lol VaporMax is def one of the gamechangers.
PLEASE DO AN IN DEPTH VIDEO ON THE NIKE AIR MAX 90 - TO ME, THE MOST CLASSIC SNEAKER! 💯
These are actually meant for runway strutting 😊. I love the vapormax though. I use a different pair for running.
This channel grew since the last time I was here
this channel is dope, please do an ACG & NikeLab segment! 🤓🙏🏽
I've recently got vapour max 360s but I got the black blue white and grey I use them to go travelling for short periods and only walk in them they are my favourite so far apart from vapourplus waiting for custum 270 maxies I'm so keen
Vapor max run utility is my absolute favorite
Love those!
You forgot the vapormax d/ms/x line, they pretty dope imo
Aw damn my bad
@@NachoAverageFinds no problem, btw which shoe do you think they were inspired by cause i couldn't find any history about them, they look a bit like air presto to me, anyways great video as always ;)
Most of them seem to have good resell! Great vid as always 👊
I'm looking into getting a pair of Vapormax Plus', I think Vapormax is gonna grow from here for awhile. Love the look of em
I have flynit 3 triple black vapormax, utility Run Vapormax, and vapormax plus triple black. Going for the vapormax 2020 in black for Christmas
