It's so natural with your style of these reviews but I really noticed how well the video/graphics editor is doing their job, always giving me a chuckle here and there. Simple but so effective. Put the team on camera some time!
I love the shoe. I'm extremely flat footed and the vapourmax is the best running shoe I have, they are most durable and they strengthen my arch. I own Nike's latest alphafly, but the vapour max beats it for durability and equals it in stability for my flat feet.
I had a pair of the first vapormax. They changed the bottom because people felt like the separate air units felt weird underfoot and it did. So this 2021 version has the straight like from rear to forefoot. That gives a nice natural transition when walking.
Ye, they aren't most comfy shoe of all time but they are still up there. If anyone can find them on sale, they are definitely worth the pick up. I personally prefer the Plus versions cuz the upper suits the outlandish appearance of the sole a lot better imo.
I own a pair of these and think they are unique and look cool. That being said I will never buy another pair because of the propensity of these to roll my ankle. It is fitting that an accident attorney firm sponsored this video, because for me at least these shoes are an accident waiting to happen. Keep up the great content.
I've been using Vapormax to run (yes run not jog) for a year now, and I can tell you from my experience that I do experiencing a bit of imbalance stride here and there but never roll my ankle once. if you put enough downforce to them they will never roll to the side, and boy oh boy they really provide you with some cushioning. the only downside is that I've popped 2 of these, and the outsole didn't last that long especially on firm road with many gravel here and there.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who had an ankle roll experience with these lol. I thought it was just that I put on weight.. only happened the first few days though, I’m happy with them overall now
I like how he bags on Nike and exposes them for all the ways that they get around providing quality materials...but at the same time make you still want to own certain models if you're a collector or consider yourself a sneaker historian.
Have you ever tried filling the popped chambers with some spray foam? Might be kinda cool to see if they could be made usable again after a puncture. Love this channel. Never knew how much I’d like knowing about shoe construction! keep up the good work👍🏻👍🏻
@@MaxMax-th7uztoo right at 210 a pair I'm clumsy af so they aren't for me plus it's over what I want to spend i buy bricks as clowns call them. Less than retail always got some dunk highs for 80 UK a bit of a polarising colour gorge green I love them.
@@stephenlamley541 we have clearance shops in uk and outlets shops etc ! I paid less than £20 for my Vapormax as they were customer returns with a popped bubble ! Have to drill a few holes into the bubbles and completely fill with window sealant … don’t even notice the difference !
As for the rolling ankle theory: I’ve owned the Vapormax Evo, it is more supportive than the flyknit and I was still able to roll my ankle more than a few times. Only by running a short distance for fun. Would not recommend for any athletic activity. For sure the most comfortable in my honest opinion however
Had the first gen Vapormax and loved them for casual use (I'm not a runner). Very comfortable upper and cushioning. The only thing I didn't like about them was that they squeak like hell on smooth surfaces (linoleum, smooth concrete, hardwood). The design of the outsole makes it so that, outside of the rubber pads, the bottom of the air bubble squeaks against smooth surfaces. I even tried taking some sandpaper to these areas, but didn't help. Still a great shoe.
It’s baffling why they think relying on a factory set air bladder is a good idea. Just imagine the difference in pressure between a hot summer mountain trail run and a cold winter beach run.
The 2017-19 Vapormax don't have any foam. I have 34 pairs of them, and absolutely love them. The '21+ with redesigned air sole are awful. Only have 3 pairs of them, just trying to Give them a chance. They are incredibly hard underfoot by comparison. Never ever the instability of the originals as everyone complained about. And I'm 6'4 250lbs with a size 15 foot. Grab an original and test it.
My first Vapormax popped about 10 months into em. I seriously thought they would've popped sooner, but my 720s popped before the Vapormax. Knowing that they pop, I have, and will continue to gladly buy a fresh pair of Vapormax. They may no be rugged, but the aesthetic of all white VMs in the summer can't be beat.
You should review some Onitsuka Tiger 66’s, they are a super classic running shoe, claim to be all leather, cool older style. They even have cactus leather ones!
I had a pair of vapourmax 1s in white. Honestly one of the best pair of shoes I've worn. Seriously comfortable, they weren't an everyday shoe for me, so they didn't wear out fast.
i recently popped mine and i am still kinda sad, they are really nice shoes and they fit me well.I got even sadder when i found out that Nike has a return policy that basically says ,if you own a pair of Nike shoes with air soles or air bubbles you are eligible for a full refund, all you need is the receipt and guess what,i lost the receipt...
So far vapormaxes have been one of most comfortable sneakers for me , after 1 year durability of sole was fine but when i had quicklacing system it broke and the plastic in the side started to crack 😅
What about other companies that use “air technology” like Mallet with Gas, or the Alexander McQueen transparent/gas midsole and see how they compare with Nike.
Got a couple of pairs of extremely limited 369 Vapormax - love em especially compared to the disaster that was the original 360…….. They only have a little squeak but other than that they’re awesome shoes
who else cracked up at "not even remotely worth $210" I bought my pair in the superlative Bright Crimson by CLOT. I only wore em once. Now I know to be careful with these.
I'm just about done with the big name athletic shoes - but, not gonna lie, they still have me with the knitted uppers, really love those, very comfortable. At least, when they get a minimalist mid/outsole anyway. Probably pick up some Nike Free Run '18s eventually, I've actually had decent luck with their Frees. I remember getting Nike air bubbles and shox as a kid thinking "yea, high tech running shoes!", until I finally stopped giving them chances and accepted that they aren't real running shoes lol.
The Free RN 2018 is a great shoe. Great for all around exercise as it’s super stable, wide, and has a comfortable yet still quite durable upper. Highly recommend.
You may want to get the vapormax 1 or 2 because they changed compared to the 21 and up that small slither of form was in area that a lot of people complained at most people prefer the vapormax plus because if has a full midsole. But the original felt like cleats compared to this new outsole
VM are love/hate. It's also a little more confounded by how Nike has made a billion VM spinoffs and hybrids. They've experimented quite a bit with it, for better or for worse. For me there's models which I really love - like the VM 360, then stuff I just don't like at all such as the VM Plus, that's ironically the most popular one out there right now. I think overall it's a fantastic sneaker, but IMO the thing holding the line back is that price, I mean that's Jordan prices for VaporMax. It wears great for me all day, but obviously each shoe is going to have a use case and I'm not going hiking in these or anything.
what i hate about these is the weird sound they make when you are walking and the amount of dirt that gets stuck to the sole. the most unpractical sneakears i have ever owned honestly
I credit this page for my choices in materials from Nike I'll always, always go for suade regarding leather nikes suade is actually quite nice i have several blazers and one pair of dunk highs all good quality suade. That aside I'll go for synthetics over tjat awful plastic leather in fact I refuse to buy any with it on. Not for me.

Red Wing 606 next please!!
More Nike's how about some asics for a change
Could I use them to sue Nike when I inevitably roll my ankle so badly I'm permanently injured by these ridiculous shoes?
Adidas 4D would be a cool thing to cut in half
Nike acg goadome boots please

“Street Cleats”…
AKA, the good ol “Click Clacks”… 😂
It’s also wild to know that it’s not one continuous air bubble on the Vapormax like Nike states…
looking forward to reviewing Air Max 720. I had a pair and the air units are both poped after 1 year. It is not wearable anymore.
I would like to see you completely fill the vapormax with water, no air bubbles, and see how it feels to wear them with water instead of air.

Crown the Empire - amazing band!
The 2017 that we didn’t see in this vid had the best silhouette. I think also that it was is the most R&D Nike has ever did on a shoe.
