A lot of people stack the extractors for unit optimization. they find the highest percentage return in the menu on the left of the visor and stack them there because the percentage only changes on the x-plane not the y so if you have a c class capping at 40% there is a VERY small area where you can get that max concentration of 40%. it there are diminishing returns for placing it farther away from that point. some like the look, but I do it for the optimization.

Being rude is immoral, and you are being rude.
Unless you play and empty everything every couple hours I disagree with only one storage unit. I end up putting down more storage than extractors so when I need it I have a bunch of whatever it is. Add a solar panel, a battery, and a transporter in a little shack and rename the farm and you're set.
You and survival bob are my my fav content creators on nms. Honestly you both got me back into the game after almost two years of not loading it up. Thanks, all the best, and keep it up!

Turns out you can do mineral extraction and gas extraction from the floating bases in the lower atmosphere

Only having one battery will Drain SUPER quick once the sun goes down. I have 12 batteries for 3 mineral extractors and it still only lasts a portion of the night.

I recently burned myself out on GTA online I've been playing it nearly every day since release, I've had no man's sky since release too but not played it much but a few days ago I discovered a new love in no man's sky, so much cool stuff got added and I'm basically rediscovering the game all over again, the possibilities are endless. Me and my friends all have bases now on the same planet and we can teleport to eachothers bases even when we're offline. If also created bases in other systems that I can easily teleport to in order to get materials that aren't on my main planet. I used to like Minecraft a lot too but no man's sky does everything Minecraft does but better and much more practical. It could even be like GTA in some ways too. It's like every game I love in 1 game it's brilliant. I actually have up playing it shortly after it came out because I was stuck on a planet and didn't take the time to learn.

sell the modules you dont want to make quick nanites Captain of the Steves, had the update 3.98 yesterday at 12 pm pacific time U.S.A. it reset the scienc terminal and overeseer i got all the scanning badges done too and asteroids nearly in one go in the first system too i started off with a different freighter than yours how you got a bigger winged one and lower undersection one and i got a cyan and white shuttle, i got the Cadmium from looking for buried caches 1 in 5 but i got enough to get the drive and some emeril too for venom urchins and some indium too it takes patience but well worth looking for i scanned everything everywhere got all the scanning badges done in one go and shot the asteroids up real quick too had to jump to the next system to get the nexus to appear before i could get my GOLDBENDER again but love the cube and other goodies too the troglatulip always looks great on board sometimes having troubles with the extractor but i think they link up i got 350 chromatic metal i have 2 of the devices and it emptied both instead of one at a time, after update im looking for any other changes still random damage while walking at times which si annoying aas heck, and got 4 of these odd eggs from the frigate expeditions im keeping them in the cargo hold, they all say ready to hatch. they changed it to 6 weeks of runtime Captain they changed it......
it is 6 weeks after the new update 3.98 6 weeks to go Captain of the Steves, and like in the Incredibles NO CAPES hehe but there will be i like the new cape too, and child of HELIOS being blue si soo freakkin gnarlytastc love the blue like a flare of blue fire it is beautiful, they might have fixxed it with update 3.98 Captain i havent got my Helios yet to find out

How do you build without the minimum equipment, for example, u placed a lot of gas extr without having a metal plate
You can swap to creative mode from the game setting while building... or press the button to go to wire mode... select the part you want to place, press the wire mode button and the place button at the same time.
I found a spot to mine activated emeril and made a basic base. When I came back to it later with all the materials I needed, it changed and became plain sodium. Is that normal? Also it seems like all the planets that have good stuff to mine like activated indium, there's some serious challenges. Very aggressive sentinals that attack you for no reason. Hardcore wind storms that sweep you away.
Activated metals only show up on planets with hazardous storms, if I recall correctly.
Atmosphere Harvester is only one I have available and needs no silos nor power
Are the old atmospheric harvesters not available anymore? I know a new player who wanted ones like I have but I couldn't find them for him. Mine still work (6 of them) but I can't find more to buy.
I have the ones you use carbon to fuel still

i get oxygen from my lush planet but i am supposed to get nitrogen , in lush or toxic planets ! could you explain why this is happened ? when i use my atmosphere harvester i get nitrogen from this same lush planet but not on my gas extractor , i get oxygen . aren't they the exact same thing ? nitrogen is part of the air
Try not to science it too much... Planets with no water still have clouds....

Unsure, this one is for gas and was a C class area... I normally find an S Class... and Minerals, you need the gases to make some of the components for the Stasis Devices though,

Never mind I found it in nexus!! Boutta start my first gas farm!! (Don’t know why but now it’s called atmosphere harvester and also got autonomous mining unit :)

Just started with the game and got to the anomaly. And saw these extractors in the tech tree there. I think I will try to prioritise them then as I find it annoying to mine/deplete the deposites manually and the icons not going away if empty and all the time getting back to empty ore deposites later.
Only one battery? Maybe I'm experiencing one of the 10 million bugs still left since "The Great Extermination of 2018" ... but if I log in at night time, my farm is down until the sun comes up again... and then it's fine. Most of the time, I can avoid that if I spam the farm with batteries + 2 solar panels / battery.
Doesn't work for me personally even if you have 100 solars/100 batteries and one extractor. Power during the day. Not at night. Full charge on batteries. Batteries are useless for extractors right now.

Where is eos and what's a Nexus
The Nexus is the Space Anomaly where you can run multiplayer missions... Eos is the vendor that has a shark like head...
this kind of sucks i was expect better extracting of mineral and industralisation overall.
Power is broken right now. You can have 100 solars and 100 batteries, but one extractor won't be powered at night with all 100 batteries charged 100%. Yet it will during the day. Makes zero sense.
I was confused about dis too, does it still do that for u and is there a way around it?
