Comments from elsewhere "From my husband's experience, his "invisible" problems include sleep difficulties, constipation and issues with regulating his body temperature, being especially sensitive to heat. All of these problems seriously and negatively impact his activities of daily living."
One I forgot to mention was the loss of smell and taste, which may seem like an inconvenience more than anything but it's easy to forget warnings often come from smells, like food being rotten or gas lines leaking. I'm glad at this point to have both smell and taste but those are often among the early signs/symptoms of Parkinson's Disease.
Thank you very much. You've mentioned your left hand and left foot. Are you left-handed? One more question: When you have the word you want to say, but can't get it out, do you want any assistance from a wife or friend verbalizing possible words?
Parkinson's has impacted my left side much more than my right. It's typical that the disease hits one side more. I am not left handed but worked part time as a musician so it is my fretting hand. makes things more challenging when I play the bass. If I want help finding a word I ask for it, but someone trying to finish my sentence or find the word for me is kind of irritating to me. I like to be given a little time to find it myself...
from another viewer "1) inability to write, and 2) a disconnect in my brain to right foot while bowling." he also commented about balance issues and "brain power" especially prior to taking his first dose of sinemet
Hi Bonnie :) and thanks for the comment/question. I do have a great team of doctors who do well managing my care. They've given me thoughts and possibilities for the future but this disease is different for everyone so they will tackle things as they come up.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us. So many people love you, and we appreciate the ability to be with you throughout.
Thank you

Do you have a great team of doctors and allied medical professionals who help you manage symptoms and know what to expect in the future?
