I have been using a few of these upgrades and I'll say this: -The upper filament guide while good, wears quickly from the passing filament, wearing a groove into it. It also flexes up and down due to the retraction and loosens in the extruded aluminum. It will have to be reprinted regularly. -the lower filament guide is just a press fit. It also wears quickly, loosening it and now it just falls off of the printer. -The pcb cover does not use stock screws so its useless if you dont have hardware on hand -The power supply baffle restricts airflow and the psu runs hotter due to it. -Extruder knob works well and i've had no issues.
I just think being able to print mods for the printer is amazing. I got my dad this same printer and I'm excited to show him these to make it easier to operate
1:40 One tip about those LCD board covers. After installing mine, I had an issue where the printer would intermittently beep and register a phantom keypress while printing. This is because one of the screws (nearest to the knob) actually grounds the PCB to the metal screen bracket and putting the screen between the screw head and the top surface of the circuit board stops this. The remedy was to bore out that mounting hole so that the screw could make electrical contact again. The rear cover will stay on perfectly well with just 3 screws.
I just installed mine and have heard a couple presses. I was really hoping it wasnt a technology issue as the printer is only 2 days old. This makes me feel a lot better and thankyou for a solution.
I mean at the same time it’s smart, a lot of these things work perfectly well being printed, and by not including them initially it helps keep the cost of the printer reasonable

Actually had no real problem with that from the beginning as I printed some washers to make original springs stable. But I install clicking knobs for easier calibration. Do a few clicks here and there. The main problem is that table bends after heating complete. Mine have a hill in the center and center left and center right parts. I solve this by making first slice higher, like 0.3mm, and using 125% flow. Also ordered those yellow springs and will try them, to see if they will change table bending.

Richard you don´t have to buy a 3 - D printer. There is no 3 - D printer specifically made for homes on the market now which can follow printing instructions easily because the driver updater is missing, most of the printing software is down or does not recognize the printer, the computer will not recognize it and most of them will not print from your USBs. First I really like your videos. It has helped me a lot as a beginner into 3D printing... How did you print the spool holder - is that with supports? The recommendation is to print all parts vertically but I think the main part (holder) can best be printed horizontally. Sorry for the question if it is too basic. I'm just starting with 3D printing.

It is overall bad to add a cover to the fan, because it diminishes the heat dispersion capacity of it. I wouldn't do it. Same can be said for the mainboard cover, altough in this case it provides it a protection from dust, so I think it's worth. (remember it still has to be cleand in time to time)
the psu part is insane when you fit the first screw and rotate the cover to the place for the second screw, the fan rotates and the hole comes out. It's difficult but you need to turn it holding the screwdriver on the first screw to rotate the cover to the place..
I had the same experience so I ended up unmounting the PSU and holing it side down so I could align the fan easier. Two things could be different. 1) He could be using a different model for the fan shroud. The one I went for had slightly too small holes so the screws threaded into the shroud, causing it to move the fan around the screw instead of rotating freely. 2) There might be some other retaining mount inside the MeanWell branded PSU on the Ender-3 Pro preventing it from moving unless both screws are out and causes the fan to fall off. Mine is a non-pro and has the cheaper power supply.
