A big compliment to your style of docking. You take it nice and easy into the slip. No jolts just gliding your way. My dad taught me and now after 40 years I dock the same. Well done! Your the first person I have thought is an amazing docker on RUclips.
Enjoyed watching you go through the locks. A few years ago I helped a friend take his 45’ down the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. 28 locks. The first one dropped 80’!
As a teenager many years ago I read Slocum, Robin Knox-Johnson and others and was inspired to sail the world in my own yacht. Then read one line in a book that ended that aspiration. "Sailing the world is a great way to see the sea." Have since kept my sailing to coastal and fossicking, with flights to see those parts of the world that beckon me. Still believe what Toad said in "Wind in the Willows". Avid follower of Ran, Delos and Alluring Arctic. And Zatara. And a few others. I can share their adventures, successes, trials and tribulations and appreciate the opportunity to do so. Thanks to you all.
Will, I google mapped every reference in the video! Loved it. Thanks for taking us with you in this journey. Going through the locks was wild. I would've loved to see more of lake Okeechobee but completely understand condensing 5 days+ in just 45 mins. Keep up the good, informative, and adventurous content. I just subscribed.
Great job. I did it reverse trip but imagine if the fiberglass muffler was cracked to prevent you going over 8 knots before pressure opened up flow of water in the engine compartment. That was my head scratcher because we couldn’t find the leak going 20 knots. Your doing great captain
Captain's license that involves multiple unit tests, medical exam, several hundreds of hours of experience (literally a requirement) and then insurance.
It’s a great trip from Sanford to Jacksonville! Buffalo train bridge seems to have been open last few times I have been through that area too. So far great video!
Blowing out of the dip stick is a sign of a peessureized oil pan. Could be simple as plugged crank vent system. Excessive blow by or even a head gasket.
Hey man, did I meet you August of last year on a video shoot for BoatTest and Sovereign Boat Club out of Blind Pass at St Pete Beach? I was the test captain for BoatTest and you were helping run the camera boat and the test boat gathering test data?
Would have loved a quick screen shot of Navionics at each one of your stops I recognized more than a few, would have liked to confirm. I will be making a similar run in a few weeks
Although I appreciate the work you have done to make this footage available, I’d like to make a suggestion. When moving the camera, please do it slowly and don’t go over the same thing more than once. The same applies for zooming. If you’re going to zoom, go slowly. Many thanks.
Really enjoyed this video!` Is it common to have so many unknown issues after a survey is done? I thought the purpose of the survey and sea trial was to identify these issues?
Great job running the boat. Your first mate did a great job too, she has been around a boat before. I would suggest buying a Gopro Hero 9, don't need the latest go pro and setup on the bow, you can also mount your phone to get throttle and power footage. I always like to see how the controls are being used to pull into gas dock and docking. Thanks! Checkout Sailing la Vagabonde footage, Alina does all the shots and editing, #1 sailing channel.
I have started my search for a live aboard and it seems like most decent boats, with decent pricing, seem to come from the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. How do I get pricing of having the boat delivered from there to St. Pete? I just need ball park as I plant to factor that fee into the purchase price. For reference, I am looking at a 45-50ft.
Got a Westerbeke and what not,, down below the owner left his tools and what not,, we gonna get these lines off and what not , gonna need to stop for fuel four times and what not, little throttle to port and what not
I have a question one thing you must know is I’m not a boat guy. I love boat, but I’m not actively on a boat regularly and I understand the port side is your left side and the starboard side is your right side, but can you tell me why that is what makes the port side your left side and the starboard side your right side just asking question trying to get educated thank you for your videos. I enjoy them. Tiny ( Len Price ) Houston MS
Because if you are facing the FRONT of the boat, your right and starboard are the same. If you face the REAR of the boat, starboard is still starboard but now your right is the PORT side. Now if you face starboard, your right is the aft of the ship. Left and right don’t work on a boat.
Great video Capt. looks like a nice trip. Curious if there’s a way to do a side screen of your throttle and shifter movement during docking situations? Love the channel either way
How wise is it to venture out into the ocean on a vessel you only just took command of? I've heard accounts of people going out and having the weather turn so the inlets are a no go. That and mechanical failures on the outside that can get dicey real quick. Overall nice review of a voyage from one side of Florida to the other. Thanks for sharing.
I'm sorry. I couldn't watch this video as bad as I wanted to. The way you wave the camera around in your excitement is just more than I can do. I have a history of vertigo and trying to focus while you're waving your camera just is making me ill. I'm sorry. Msybe in another video I can watch. Look around for a gimble and a go pro. Those seem to be more stable. Good luck with your channel though.
New subscriber, great stuff! If you ever need any help, I live in Madeira Beach Florida, would love to gain any experience I can, especially in the engine room, reach out and I’ll send CV!
Love your content but I agree with other commenters…your camera work is making me seriously nauseous…I don’t mean to complain, but please consider changing camera work. It feels like you are wearing the camera. Anyways Best of Luck to you on your channel
You are a terrible cameraman. Can't watch anymore of this you need to slow down the movement of the camera and a camera of stabilization would help. Back and forth up and down all over the place.
A big compliment to your style of docking. You take it nice and easy into the slip. No jolts just gliding your way. My dad taught me and now after 40 years I dock the same. Well done! Your the first person I have thought is an amazing docker on RUclips.
Thank you for bringing me along! It was an amazing experience.
So that was you with him?
Enjoyed watching you go through the locks. A few years ago I helped a friend take his 45’ down the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. 28 locks. The first one dropped 80’!
I need a Dramamine from the boat tour camera spinning
I learned something, thank you.

You explained everything very well along the way! Awesome video💯😎⚓
very informative, thank you.
I can’t wait to watch this. Thank you for sharing your journey that I have always heard about.
I did a similar trip except we went from Miami to Pensacola 5 years ago on my 480 DB. Your trip brought back some good memories. Way cool.

nice job captain
Good job Capt. ! Enjoyed the trip ! Chas.,SC PS: Your Mate did a great job also!
I've never been on a huge boat like that the views are amazing
Nice job Cap and Mate! Really enjoyed the video. I never got to take the north , St. John's River leg. Crossing Florida is a great ride.
Great job. I did it reverse trip but imagine if the fiberglass muffler was cracked to prevent you going over 8 knots before pressure opened up flow of water in the engine compartment. That was my head scratcher because we couldn’t find the leak going 20 knots. Your doing great captain
Great Video, thanks for all the detail!!
Great Job, Captain 👨✈️

Cool video, man.

Hey Trip, yep that was me
@@thecaptainscoach I thought so... It's good to run across your channel. Looking forward to seeing more of your content.
now i know why yt has recommended the captains coach.
Hey Brother…really enjoyed your content! Well done.
Great vid, subscribed
Thank you for doing this, I wanted to do this for 20 years from Sanford to Miami
Would have loved a quick screen shot of Navionics at each one of your stops

I will be making a similar run in a few weeks
Great video really enjoyed it. We just did a trip similar this past Labor Day weekend. Astor to Daytona with 2 nights St. Augustine great time.
That would be a amazing job
I am not sure how you do this. I would love to do it.
So many questions from me.
Good job.
If you need any help, let me know. I am a good cook too.

Oh gee I thought it was me having vertigo.
@@Fit2beTied That’s what that can cause in some individuals.
Well said. Too many jerk the camera around. People doing maps that spin them around so you are constantly trying to orient things are bad, too.
Please listen to this suggestion. Watching your video is a little rough.
Yep, I don’t like to be critical of people but I couldn’t watch the video because of the constant moving left and right.
Do you have a bit wheel onto your port side engine sending a lot of vibrations through the hull
Wow, so many negative comments about the camera work. You're on a boat, right? Anyway, I enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed this video!` Is it common to have so many unknown issues after a survey is done? I thought the purpose of the survey and sea trial was to identify these issues?
It’s actually fairly common. Surveys can only tell you so much. Happens to me all the time.
Thanks for stopping in!!!
Port Charlotte is a great place for a sailboat! The water at Boca are usually beautiful.
going UPSTAIRS ?---Topside sir
You have a awesome camera 🎥, please give description. Thanks

Well done! Who shot the video?
Seems like a fun job

do u have a problem with bees, i see the raid bee spray, lol
Got a Westerbeke and what not,, down below the owner left his tools and what not,, we gonna get these lines off and what not , gonna need to stop for fuel four times and what not, little throttle to port and what not
Nice job, really good insights and refresher knowledge provided during voyage. Keep up the good work!! Did the port fuel gauge work actually?
Nope never got it going

Need headsets to keep it simple?
Are there any Bluetooth sensors you could tap into the system to give you two separate readings?
Captain, quick question: How did the owner feel knowing the boat was safer in Sanford than in St. Pete, where Hurricane Milton was approaching?
Great video Capt. looks like a nice trip. Curious if there’s a way to do a side screen of your throttle and shifter movement during docking situations?
Love the channel either way
Question, What all licenses and insurance would you half to have to do this business?? Thanks
Were any of those boat problems documented on the survey or inspection?
Fill up 4 or 5 times for under 700 miles?? Even if you were maxing the rpm’s, that sounds like a lot.
a small tip slow down on your camera movement and it will make it look a lot better.
Too bad you had to go that far north just to get out to open waters. Seems like a great trip.

Kenny Powers..
Native Floridian and I never knew we lochs
So going through the locks was transit from east coast to west?
How has YT not suggested your channel prior to today?
Blow bye. Rings, cylinder damage, head issues or overfilled in oil
Decent top 10, i would split fried restaurants in a separate list. Live in Mobile.
Left off tin top.
Great video. Question. So you’re getting 200 miles for the 400 galllons?
Roughly 220-230 on plane.
do you have coordinates on that good mechanic in stuart fl.

Should re name the boat "And What Not"
Great job at controlling that craft.
Or should I say, Yacht? 👍👍
Hrrkey jerkey camera work 😮
your in my backyard!
What’s a boat like that cost
It’s a two head boat… giggity

This boat needs some serious detailing to get it back to looking super great unless its going to be a live aboard.
Why didn’t they just truck ship just would of had to pull the arch and props and maybe rudders pulled

Dip the tank
everybody's got problems
she wrapped those lines like extension cords.
No she wrapped them like a homeowner instead of someone with experience!
😂
She didn’t accompany him because of her line wrapping ability….
I've tried to enjoy the video you giving me one hell of a headache as much as you moving the camera around
camera operator had to much coffee

That. Amera whips around too fast to stay oriented sometimes.
Head gasket leak
Dude! Slow down! your filming is making me seasick....
Hope ya don't treat all your crew like this try MacDonalds
FYI: Your video movement is too much and I stopped watching.
