What are you up to Matt?
"Not much, I have a wife and 3 kids, a few businesses, a personal construction project, a business construction project, a Bronco build, a super car build, a 3/4 ton build, and a few RUclips channels. Really I have loads of time. Do you need help with your sick cat?"
The level of energy you keep, keeps me motivated man.
when you're wiring all those lights, def put some on your headache rack. lights facing backwards are the most underrated light upgrades. Very very nice for hooking up a trailer at night, getting in your toolbox at night, etc.
Or if someone is riding your butt
Big Country yeah, hopefully a state trooper
I wouldn’t put one on the roof, I’ve always had them on the roof with several trucks and they all reflect off windshield and hood pretty bad
you have to mount them further back if I remember correctly
they tend to create wind noise
Mat the hood. And flock the dash. Mopar is known for the mat hood.
Its better to mount it on the back rack, so the top of the cab blocks the light from reflecting off the hood.
Plug their company name instead of the “two high school guys” lol
He did when they did the fence
Plot twist: Their company name is "Those two high school guys".
Baja designs lights, all the lumens, and dont put one above the windshield. They are loud and they light up the hood of the truck. Once the hood it lit up you cant see as well.
Yellow fog lights down low because they are better in dust and fog. Spot light down low in the bumper to project light far. Upgrade factory head lights for better light up close. If you need them put pillar light facing out at an angle to see off to the sides a little bit.
Personally light two flood lights mounted in the rear bumper to light up behind me when ever I need to see at night. I.e. hooking up a trailer in the dark.
Two flood lights in the headache rack would be good too.
He should get RECON lights I just installed some and man do they look great
All three of you sound like you’re legally blind or too scared of everything that’s on asphalt. Do you REALLY fuckin need the chad lights that blind other drivers? No. No you don’t. But y’all sure do get them anyways 😂
@@diegoa4203 recon is the worst product you can buy.
They use the thinnest wire imaginable.
For lights: Very bright ones
For winch: A very strong one. 👍
That’s about the extent of what I know. Good luck!
The general rule of thumb is get a winch that has a capacity 1.5x the weight of the vehicle it's mounted to.
I'd go 2x the weight of the vehicle.
You are a good dad! Wish my dad was like that with me when I was young! Keep doing what your doing! You have an amazing tru and honest fan base, withholding an amazing family.
Thank you Matt again!👍👍👍
No idea about lights and winch...
Winch: WARN hands down has the most reliable winches. 1.5-2 times the weight of the truck is a pretty good standard.
Lights: Baja Designs and Rigid Industries make great lights. As far as the roof mount goes, I hated mine. No matter how it was positioned, it seemed to cast too wide of a beam and created a ton of glare on the hood. I’ve got a friend with the KC style lights on his truck and they are great! I sold my roof mounted bar because I hated it so much. I think a single 24” bar would suffice mounted on the RanchHand. If you wanted more light, I’d go with pods mounted low by the windshield. Just my preference.
spot on man
the winch needs rope not wire!
Nailed it. Also seconding on the synthetic rope over steel.
Yep, Phillip you nailed it on the head. Roof bars aren't particularly helpful pointed forward. I have an amazon special 24" on my winch bumper that works really well. An actual name brand light would be even better. I do suggest little headache rack lights pointed backward up high but not forward. I also highly recommend synthetic winch rope.
I agree Phillip
"Demolition Wrench" merch plz. Maybe put a big wrench with a red dot on it. Fully socket-matic.
Yeah, Matt, do a stylized 'Demo Wrench' image, that looks loosely like a modern rifle or shotgun..that has multiple socket pieces under it..
So it appears like it has a 'magazine capacity' of several socket pieces..or so thst the sockets look like shells, sitting under it, waiting to be 'loaded' aboard..
That could work well with your existing shotshells sound effect intro for D, Ranch too, but without the worry.
This way your not showing any real guns, nothing more than a graphic or pic, (no different from millions of video game & playstation vids on youtube!)..
But your much loved, iconic sound effect can still be put over a stylized 'demo wrench' pic or gif.
When you introduce Earl’s new bumper, you need to do it correctly. “Here, ladies and gentlemen, I give you Earl’s new smile! Made by Dr. Ranch Hand, DDS.
We wouldn't be opposed to that 😂
Lincoln is the luckiest boy on the planet to have you as a dad on so many levels I think you even created totally new levels of awesome that is one lucky boy you should be really proud of yourself you're the man
Light bars on the roof make a a lot of noise on the highway, I'd stick to putting lights in the bumper. Rigid Industries and KC make good lights.
This 👆🏻
Yes.. Use PIAA
Aerolidz make shields that cover the light bar that offer noise reduction as well as mild protection.
This x2
David you must have installed it wrong then. Mine never made noise
Building a house, building a warehouse, building a vette, owns a clothing company, owns a veterinarian clinic, owns a knife company, owns 3 huge youtube channels, and is a dad to 3 young ones... matt has to be the busiest man alive🚫🧢
He's doing so many things and yet he does nothing he doesnt enjoy doing - thats the real beauty
The real question is how is he not asleep in some corner from sheer exhaustion, heck I would. 🤔
Let’s gooo demowrench!!
You know they go BIG in Texas with everything
he knows the youtube bubble will burst eventually and hes set up a couple of different businesses that can survive without youtube.
hes future proofing his finances in a very clever way.
Thank you for supporting welders not easy starting in the trade!
That's so awesome that hes bringing them kids back to help with the shop!
For a winch I’d most definitely recommend a Warn. Worth every penny, and when you need a winch, you want it to be strong and reliable. For size, I see curb weight (in general) is about 7k for your truck, plus you’re steel flat bed, typically 2 times vehicle weight for pulling power. Warn makes a 16,500lb winch. Probably a whole lot of cash! But something you’d have for multiple lifetimes and would pull ANYTHING. My 2 cents. And howdy from Houston!
I second the Warn winch.. oh wait I dont even have a truck or winch 🤣 Matt, I am a first rate keyboard warrior I promise!
Agreed with the 16,500lb warn
I’ve run warns to upwards of triple their load capacity with absolutely no issue. Things are a beast. My personal favorite is their drill winch, it’s like a motorized come along
Howdy from Houston as well.
@Gabe Lakey
Definitely go with Warn brand winches and you absolutely want to have one that is capable of pulling a minimum of two times your vehicles curb weight.
Yes they will be pricey, but they used to be lifetime warranted with a planetary gearing system!!!
I am glad you are getting the high school guys back to do the welding. They seem like hard workers and get the job done.
Speaking of high school guys working on your projects, how is the Bronco?
Hocus Pocus 👌🏼smooth transition
Wrenchin Ranch..... Mount the light bar on the bumper. If it’s on the roof and you use it in snow or fog the light bounces back right into your eyes because the light is mounted in line with your eyes. If it’s on the bumper you get less glare. Love all the channels! Thanks for what you do and your support for us 👮♂️
Got to go with with WARN winch. I got mine in 1984 and it is still going strong. I use it several times a year around the farm and for recovering stuck equipment. You need to get one that is rated for 1.5 to 2 times the weight of your truck.
When you put the lights on the roof it lights up the hood so your eyes will naturally adjust to that making it difficult to see further out... put it in the bumper.
12k Zeon Warn Winch
Rigid industries lights or Kc lights, their led’s have come a long way recently
Great winch...
Jack Spreen Yes! Also Rigid industries are my favorite brand of lights they are amazing
Plash lights ridged industrys is just a name i swapped out the 40in for a plash light bar was like 500$ cheaper and alot brighter tx company and great warranty
Jack Spreen ruclips.net/video/M2w3NZzPwOM/видео.html
I TOTALLY AGREE MATT YOU SHOULD GET THIS ONE
Out of all the RUclipsrs I know, I think Matt by far has the most diverse content out there. Super cool.
Rough Country makes the Black Series lights, and I use them on my truck. I absolutely love them and recommend. They do come in various different sizes
Do rigid bars and a warn winch don’t do a roof mount it sounds like a whistle on a freeway do bumper mounted lights
I've also noticed that roof mounted bars tend to give a false perspective of hole depth when off roading. Im my experience at least.
Roof mount also lights up the hood reflecting light back in your eyes. Bumper mount for sure.
Bumper mount and 2 pods in the fog light holes.
ruclips.net/video/EXMzkh-NzJk/видео.html
You can use a roof mount but only as a rear-facing work light. As for winches, there is only one. Check out the, "Warn heavyweight 68801 16.5TI". I have one on my Ford F250 super duty. That thing can pull the truck up a tree no problem.
“What’s in the box?”
>me waiting for the what’s in the bloody box movie clip
I see you too have spent time on the internet...

Thank you, Matt for making these awesome videos. I'm currenty lying in bed with a painfully infected leg and your videos really make my day. Keep up the good work!
Auxbeam lighting all the way! Been using their products for 5 years now and never had ANY issues, highly recommend!
Buy once, cry once.
Warn brand winches, at least 1 and a half times the weight of your truck capacity.
Rigid industries light bars. One in the bumper, and a chase light on the rear of your headache rack.
I like
I feel like "ratchet ranch" would make more sense than "demolition wrench" #missedopportunity
Auto-ranch isn't bad either. ICERanch too, maybe eventually it'll become EVRanch, you know, when gas and diesel is 15 bucks a gallon.
Restoration ranch
@@Colejoachim Restoranch then
Ram ranch
I agree, "Ratchet Ranch" is way better than Demolition Wrench. Everything is already "Ranch" why stray from that.
Leds/ Plash lights- Houston based company with AWESOME products. Winch/ waren 12k with synthetic rope for sure.!
Love the truck name and the Ranch Hand Bumper, looks great.
Have you considered including a fireman's pole as an alternative to coming down the stairs? Would be cool!
Until someone falls lmfao
TRENTEN GREGORY just have a liability notice sign near the pole and you’re good
I am I firefighter and I've never actually seen a firefighter pole
An LTT viewer?
@@matgivens7804 Because too many firefighters were injured using them. Thank You for walking into buildings that most were running out of.
For the winch, get one that’s rated to about double the weight of earl, and for the best lights I’d probably go with rigid industries
Nikolas Bright definitely a WARN winch
I would also check out Baja Designs. Their build quality is second to none and have some really great products.
Love the truck... if you wanted a winch I would've got a bumper that had a winch mount on it.. but as far as lights I would go rigid on front bumper in the light slot and KC baja lights on the roof.. also love all the channels keep up the good work and success...
Rigid industry light bars and pods are amazing! A warren winch with synthetic rope
Matt you need an impact gun for all the car stuff you do
Can get a cheep one at harbor freight
M18 fuel
He is using Ryobi cordless. They make a 1/2" impact for the same series of tools. I have one and it's great
@@mrkanook9226 ahh your right I remember him chainsaw shopping now that you mention it
Definitely get a warn winch, I bet they’d give you a sponsorship
Why would you want a warn one when a brand new one is much safer? I kid I kid:P haha
Rigid Industries, Baja Design, Rough Country, Black Oak Led, or Amazon if you not looking for anything serious. Definitely try some amber leds for better snow, fog, rain visibility.
Dieselleds for some amazing reverse Led bulbs though.
Gorecon for some nice cab lights.
And definitely a Warn winch 16500lbs or more with a synthetic rope for easier operation
Looks great Matt!!
Baja Designs.
Just give them a call and I guarantee they'll take care of you based off of your needs.
They're very expensive, but they're used in all of the Trophy Trucks, etc.
broc212 for bumpers or what?
I said the same thing we have baja designs on all our trophy trucks
Rigid Industries light bars
Just had to pause to say, I love how you're getting the young lads back to do more work for you. That's it really. It says a lot of good stuff about your work ethics 😊👏👏👏nice one 👍❤️
There's as well, awesome to see they earned their spot given how many people are probably hitting him up do do work there or his mansion project.
If you do a top mount light bar I recommend mounting it on the headache rack. It’ll minimize the amount of light hitting your hood and reflecting back through the windshield.
So glad you went with a full replacement vs grill guard!
Those dismantling montages were a stroke of brilliance.
Don’t get a light bar on top. They are out of style and they are loud. The in the bumper hidden area is still cool
Not even one minute into the video and it's better than the entire fast and furious franchise. Good stuff
I’m so glad you bought a Cummins and got rid of the 6.4
Hayden Koehn I’ve repaired way to many of them piles of shit to recommend one to anyone.
if you take care of a 6.4 it will last. its a nicer truck and will out pull a dodge all day every day.
Dethangel ishere I own one. I love it. but no it will not out pull my Cummins. And it’s nowhere near as reliable. Ford screwed it from the start. No amount of maintenance will fix the cheap pistons that crack. And by the time you delete the truck the emissions equipment has Thinned out the oil and prematurely worn out the engine. The turbine housings are to small it has way to much back pressure. The list goes on I wouldn’t recommend them to the average person. Me personally, I love it. But mines got rods pistons and a big single now so.
Hayden Koehn same the only reason I own any powerstrokes is because they were broken and so damn cheap. Buy fix and sell them. The shop I work for Only repairs Fords we make a killing.
“Doesn’t look too bad, should be easy” that’s also what I said when I had to take off the front bumper on mine, but I was wrong
Remember that time Matt bought a 6.4 powerstroke 🤣
And told us how great of a truck it was before doing research
That's actually a Pukestroke. Shorter durability than the Ford's gasser engines in a light duty truck.
Pepperidge farms remembers
Gunga Dinn emissions killed the 6.0 and 6.4
Cumins good,
Chrysler transmissions 👎
15,000 pound winch. Light bar in the middle. Spot style lights in the sides wired with a 3 way switch to the high beams. Wranglerstar has a great video on that. You don’t really want on on the roof for glare reasons. Then I’d put 2 floods or smaller light bars on a rack behind the cab facing back.
Auxbeem makes the best light bars. Put one in the bottom part of the grill guard and one in the headache rack of the flat bed so at night when u back up u can see and maybe pods in the front for fog lights
So where’s the crate that got sent back?
AKA the new corvette engine
@@xvor_tex8577 lol it was a computer, 2 people cant pick up a corvette engine.
pumpzanied oh well...... I guess you’re right about that...
pumpzanied what video?
Isn't this it?
definitley need a chase light, reversing needs way more light than forwards. lightbar down low, anything up high needs to point away from the hood when driving, so pod lights on the corners. a big light bar up top can be cool for lighting up a campground or your buddies car on the roadside.
as far as winches go, not sure on brand but if you weld the winch to a 2inch tube and then put a 2 inch receiver up from it makes the winch way more useful! put a receiver on the dump trailer, car trailer, front of a quad; a much more versatile tool that way

Hey Matt. Go with a Warn winch they’re bulletproof and always work. For light bars, the roof ones tend to howl loud or whistle so I’d run a solid bumper one and a couple side shooter ditch lights, Rigid makes decent ones.
Hey Matt I have had great luck with Eyourlife lightbars,(yes like “your life” with an E in front of it). They are at a great price point and great quality. I have had my 32” curved light bar for about 4 years now and I haven’t noticed a bit of fogging in the glass or anything going wrong with it what so ever. So I recently picked up some fog lights and they are great. Great price and great product. As far as the winch I would say a 12,000 pound winch with a synthetic rope would be really nice. Warn or smitty built winches are top of the line and being that Earl is a heavy duty boy he needs a winch that is going to hold up to whatever he throws at it. Thanks Matt, love the videos, and keep up the good work👍
I was thinking something like "Rev Ranch" but "Demolition Wrench" has a good ring to it. That truck is awesome! I dont know much as far as lights or wench stuff but I'm sure you will find something that exceeds your needs. My fiance and I Love all of your channels and watch them together, almost religiously, please keep doing what you are doing!!
Kid: strapped in like he's about to race in Group B
Dad: A hat will do
Nice looking truck Matt!!
Awesome Bumper , Matt !!!!!!!!!!!
LED bars , one big high power bar. Two smaller lower power fogs. Look at rough country. Biggest which you can get. But bro. You need the front tow hooks back.
The world needs a “demolition wrench” shirt with a wrench wrapped in a bundle of tnt. 🔧 🧨
Dillon Gardner it’s ranch not wrench
50 cal. wrench shirt.
@@tylerbraun567 r/woosh
Tyler Braun man his comment flew right over your head🤦♂️🤦♂️
Tyler Braun small brain
If going to get lights go with Rigid they make great light bars and fog lights, if you get a light bar put it in the bumper it’ll give you better visibility then up top
OffTheRanch on trending! Congratulations!
KC Hilites!!! They've got HISTORY and a LOT of OPTIONS! I have headlights, auxiliary lights, and others! They do GREAT WORK!
Hey Matt
Have you ever ran over a bumper like that at 70 miles an hour?? That's because they usually use lock tight on the mounting bolts. Did you by any chance use lock tight??
Just aksn lol great video
Keeeeeep emmmm coming
That's an excellent ram truck and nice new bumper on erl
When you go to do light bars, I would think about putting one facing the back as we always use the one on our farm truck, but it’s up to you, it’s your pickup, just have fun and experiment.
Other possible names include:
OffTheWrench
WrenchRanch
VetWrench ?? - You know, because you are a Vet with a wrench. LOL
Do because he's been "demolishing" his cars and then putting them together. You need to have the demolition in the name.
Living in Sweden with a lot of darkness, I use Stedi Australia's lights, both their bars and the worklights works sweet! 😀👌🏻
I just put in a winch. I got the Badlands Apex. Works so far, had it for a week.
Congrats on your new front bumper baby. Looks magnificent.
Get some black headlights and and a black grill guard, Earls looks will look even better. Light pods or cubes are far superior to fog lights. I would run a light bar on your bumper and one across the cab. Rigid and rough country are both solid lighting brands.
Wench: Synthetic rope, weight as much as the truck weighs or more, preferably more. Lights: Light bar, fogs in the bumper and ditch lights. Kind of disappointed Pete wasn't holding the bumper as you were putting in the bolts.
Or Oberst for that matter!
I'd recommend baja designs for the lights, two small pods for fogs, and a light bar in the center. As for a winch I recommend warn. I had good luck with mine
“Do you get it? *holding wrench”
Yup got it the first time 😂😂
Please, for the love of all that is holy, don’t be “that guy” with the light bar on the roof. Get a 32” light bar down on the bumper and you are good.
Agreed
what about 3"x3" pods on the back for reverse lights?
He bought a C4 ZR1, he is that guy lol
Too late. That guy.
Definitely get some serious back up lights. They make a world of difference
"I got them all tight then took the lift off and BOOM!" *yanks on bumper*.... *bumper lands on the floor*
Love Runva winches. Also word of advice on light bars on roof, they reflect off the hood like crazy and make the glare at night pretty bad
Speedtechlights has really good and super bright light bars and small lights check I use them for when I do installation all the time.
Dont get a roof mounted light bar in my experience they bounce light off your hood it still is bright but the bumber mounted lights are more practical check out kc lightbars and rough country light bars
For the stairs at Bunker 2.0 the treads need to be diamond plate. The railing needs to be firearm silhouettes, laser or water jet cut out of sheet steel, AR, AK, shotgun, SCAR, Uzi. Well you get the idea, whatever is in your safe.
I’ve got all my stuff from Rough Country. 12k winch all my light bars really good stuff. And they might even be a new sponsor
12k lb winch, rigid industries light bars (one in the bumper, one on the roof). I recommend doing a flat black vinyl across the hood to reduce glare when the roof light is on.
That takes me back to being a kid and riding my little Honda 50 dirt bike all over our property lol that old bike took so many slams
I have never been a big fan of the full size "brush or grille" guards on a lot of pick-ups. I always liked the look of the smaller "bull or push" bar. But this one hear I have to admit it looks very sharp. Nice pick Matt
Washman 1000 The smaller one will get destroyed if you hit something with it. The bigger one you can actually use it for multiple use and that’s why I like the bigger one
Rigid lights are some of the best. I would run a flood and spot light combo up top and a smaller one in the bumper
Warn winch hands down, For your application I would say go with a 12+ on capabilities. Baja designs are the highest quality lights you can buy with all sorts of options. If you choose a light bar I wouldn’t recommend above the windshield, you get a lot of glare off the hood. I think earl would look pretty awesome with some type of amber fog lights on the corners of the bumper. But hey you’re the guy with the truck do with it how you would like! Earl is coming on great! Love the channel(s)!
Yaaaa the dear kind of blew up...
But on the other hand the bumper was perfectly fine! 👌
Personally i would've waited until ya got the lights n wench so do have to take apart 2x... didn't ya say ya needed a 22 not a 24 socket
He did and when he bought a 24mm I thought ah ah,funny scene coming up.........
Bumper looks awesome brother
Go baja designs for your lighting. They offer great light bars and pods for spot lights, fog lights and back up lights. Also go with a warn 12000 lb. Winch with synthetic line. I have these products and I'm very happy with them.
Looking for a light bar? Ask Outlaw. He’s modding his truck now.
normally you use a winch that has the capacity of three times the empty weight of the vehicle ( just for heavy offroad use )
for the lights / lightbars look for the ARB intensity ones thats the best at the moment in my opinion
Gotta love the Linc-cam!!!
Love to here it Demolition wrench
"OffTheWrench", get it, lol!
Thank you for saying 'winch' correctly. My brother still calls them 'wenches' and I have to explain that it's not a woman serving beer.
nevermore3193 dead omg 😳
The truck looks awesome
and soon to come, in Matt's spare time, RANCH & WRENCH MAGAZINE!!!
