Matt take a 12volt drill battery with the window electrical female connector, strip the two wires and stick them on the drill battery then to the door regulator motor it will either go up or down depending on how you touch the stripped wires to the drill battery. We did it all the time working at the Ford Factory on the door line I did thousands of door regulator and glass installs.
IMO selling the demo’s garage patches by themselves would be a good idea with a custom “your name” patch, and the sheet of aluminum is for custom made interior door panels, because race car.
Matt, I hope you do get a sick car with hundreds of screamin eagles to give the fullest of pulls but, as someone who works on racetracks and drags strips as starting crew and safety crew biggest tip.. be safe. Harness, roll cage, and if you build an absolute beast of a car, upgrade your firewall. Seen a motor go critical and shoot shrapnel through the thing into the interior.
When you are ready to install the 4:10 gears take the parts to a shop or bring in someone that knows what they are doing. Not just a bolt in and go project. Pinion depth and gear backlash need to be set up precisely or you will get gear noise and premature gear ware. Requires some specialty tools for the measurements and an assortment of shims to make the adjustments.
Shawn Taylor I just did it with a bronco, put in a locker and re-geared to 4:56. Not too complicated, he can have someone check his work when he's done if he's worried. Pretty much if he has just a few special tools, less than $100 and gets a good wipe and backlash it will probably be better than most shops he'll take it to.
i am a quilter and the quilting on those quilts in sensational. you have no idea how much work went into making those magnificent pieces of art. imagine taking perfectly good pieces of fabric, washing it, ironing it, then cutting it into 2,000 little pieces, then sewing it all back together! kinda crazy, but that's how it's done. and after that, you quilt them! i sure hope you will display them proudly in your new home. much love to the Carriker family and to whoever made those beautiful quilts. Just a safety tip, chrome sockets are for hand tools that can shatter on impacts, I recommend buying some impact designed sockets, just a tip from the last video.😁

As far as the SAE to metric I'm right there with you. Had the same problems with my 84 camaro. The sheet metal is probably for removing the targa top. One last thing... Guns Up!
Nice. Because of the water damage, you really need to replace the entire wiring harness. You're setting up yourself for future electrical problems if you don't.
Good recommendation. Most connections would (hopefully still) be sealed in the areas that may be affected by weather, but the car having a good dunk cam mess up all your hopes in a few years.
I was thinking the exact same thing, with that many craptastic possibilities for wiring issues, it's not only the smarter decision it's ultimately the easier one as well.
So this car is a super car and getting some pretty cool upgrades. Why not upgrade the doors? Get them set up to like a Lamborghini and put scissor doors on it. The cool factor goes way up on it.

Matt if you apply 12volts straight to the window motor from another battery and some wires you can make the windows go up and down so that you can align them . And i also think you are making door trims out that alloy sheet.

If you go metric you should also go to °C Because its so easy and compatible with Kelvin. You also have fixed points with °C for water. At 0°C its frozen. At 100°C its gas.

The socket you need when a 6mm is too small and a 7 mm is to big is a 9/32” socket. GM loved doing that, they have been doing this since the 80’s.

Probably were 6.5 mm bolts, a very common size on automobiles.

Below 7 they start to use half sizes in metric for whatever reason.

6.5mm is 1/4". Everyone that has a screwdriver bit set has a 1/4"/6.5mm socket since that is what size the bits are.

Hey Matt my dad used to work in a auto shop and he said that to get grease and oil out of their clothes they would through them into the wash with a liter of Coke

I've always heard diet Coke but same premise. I think vinegar and something helps with grease as well

When using smaller metric they start by going in half sizes so the lock mech bolts would of been 6.5mm
not in the c4 window, theyre standard...thought the same thing and ended up stripping one out on mine with an impact

Matt you need a power probe. You can make the window go up and down/ figure out other electrical problems

Because its so easy and compatible with Kelvin.
You also have fixed points with °C for water.
At 0°C its frozen.
At 100°C its gas.
