    I would flip those bolts around so the nut is on the inside and double the nuts so nobody can just unbolt the box and slide it into they’re truck bed you could have that box off your truck with an impact gun in like 3min and be gone

      even better, use a carriage bolt which wont turn in the hole and has a rounded off head, with the nut on the inside like you said.

    Various size trailer hitches, oil, pwr steering fluid, brake fluid, coolant, funnel, pipe wrench, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, hard hat, 5 lb sledge, hatchet, folding trucker triangle, 25 ft extension cord with the Medusa head on the female side 😂, sliding tray for small stuff.... I actually folded a shipping blanket the size of the bottom of my toolbox and everything sits on it. Nothing rattles, nothing slides. Really nice.

    You're going to want a couple shovels and probably a 60" Hi-Lift jack (normal ones are only 48" and are barely long enough)

      Not a bad idea- but the box isn't that long, IDK. A poly 2gal gas gerry, a couple of 5 gal buckets, a 12v air compressor, all the hammers, spoons, etc to mount/dismount a tire, and tire patch kits. A first aid kit might also be wise insurance!

    You'll want to throw several 2ft or so 2x4 or 2x6 in there for placing under the jack if you have to use it on soft ground otherwise it'll sink into the ground.

    A recovery kit is a must. snatch straps, tree protector to even out the load of the pull across recovery points or to wrap around a tree and winch off. I Always have one in my truck.

    I’d weld the nuts to the underside of the bed. I had a similar toolbox on my flatbed and someone unbolted it from the bottom and stole it.

    When mounting the box I suggest inserting the bolts from the truck side and use nylock nuts inside the box. If anyone tries to unscrew them they will just spin. You can also bend over the bolts with a hammer.

    Always carry a roll of TP in a zip lock bag! It'll keep you and your friends out of those "complicated" situations. Also, a little bag of wet wipes.

    I like how you put Linc's project ahead of your own which is what a real father does. BTW, I would either put his bag on a pulley system or raise it so the top of the bag is level or higher than the top of his head. As it stands now, he's learning bad form in punching a lower target.

    Put some 18” lengths of 2x4 in there for jack spacers. The jack you have will barely lift your axle enough on level ground.

    any kind of lubrication ie. a grease gun or extra engine oil. A “cheater” pipe. WD-40 would come in handy if you have a rusted bolt that won’t come out or some other buildup.

      Wd-40 tends to work more as a degreaser than a lubricant. White lithium spray or a silicon based spray will work better for lubrication

      wayne melton I wasn’t meaning it as a type of grease. I know what it is for. It is also very helpful for rust and other buildup that would cause bolts etc. to get stuck.

    I always like to have waterproof matches and a tire patch kit in case you get a nail in your tire on the job site. Also maybe a folding shovel if you have room.

    Always good to have stuff like extra work boots, jacket, blanket's. Texas is rarely really cold, but if you break down you never know. I always have that's stuff just in case.

      Nylon tow straps, loop ends only, no metal hooks! 20,000 lb, at least 16 ft long. For extracting friends or yourself from mud and snow.
      Then a few shackles to hook to bumpers, tow points, or to make your two 16 ft straps a 32 ft. reach.

    Fun fact, that little gray layer in the tool box has a use. If you ever need to put the tool box on the hood of a vehicle or something wit a bit of angle too it, it will assist in helping the box from slipping and sliding off.

    If you want a life saving tool with tire changes and much more. That tool is an Impact Driver I.E. DCF894B , instead of spending 30 mins to change a tire you will easily cut down your tire changes in half.

      @@mimixownzall true, but in a mobile situation, might need something manual. I use an impact wrench as a mechanic. It has pros and cons. Sometimes we use a breaker bar even in the shop.

      @@mimixownzall what happens when you're out of power? what happens when you need more leverage than an impact wrench can provide?
      With a tanker bar/breaker bar/whatever bar, I can move a 25 ton streetcar on flat ground. My dad used his to push rail cars around, the yard, no more power than you and gravity.
      Breaker bar is forever. Drills/Drivers break, eventually.

      I lost the tire iron that came with my car (I think the mechanic took it out and never put it back. ) So now I just carry a 3' breaker bar as my tire iron. lol

    Jump box in case the battery goes dead, would be one of my suggestions. Since I have a rebuilt jump box I have used it 4 times to help someone out without jumper cables. 2 Blankets gallon of water, emergency package of granola bars and such. Antifreeze washer fluid brake fluid couple quarts of oil grease gun. You know the drill a travel kit first aid kit fire extinguisher.
