Ok, that looks like a great set up. I despise my Hero5 because of the audio. I had the mic adapter with the external mic, but it didn't always work. If I had more confidence in the 5 with adapter, I'd jump on this.
I use the 6 with no issues , but prior I always used the 5 . This particular set up I did not use with the 5 though . I can always test it out and let you know .. what issues did you have .. also . Beyondthebounds just got this case and only uses 5s.. and texted me yesterday raving about the performance
@@bassmoore2083 Maybe I'll give it another shot. The problem I was having is that after pressing the record button (with mic adapter and external mic), it only captured audio on the first film segment. In other words, if I stopped/started recording like after a fish catch, no audio after that. I returned the $50 adapter and only use the Hero5 for my front camera view, and dub in audio from my old reliable Hero 3+. BTW...I met Lou (Beyond the Bounds) at a local fishing spot last summer. Was cool running into him.
@@RhinoVenturesOutdoors ah yeah, so the issues with those adapters.. is if they come lose you lose audio, i believe this case was built for a big reason of that.. to kind of keep that adapter a little tighter and less space to move and come out of that port.. another issue they have .. is if the camera turns on or off with the mic plugged in and it comes out at all.. you lose all audio until its turned off again . its a weird little sequence. the adapter is a failure by gopro in my opinion.. but people have complained about it since the 5s.. but still bought the hero 5,6,7s so lol gopro just ignores us i guess haha
Nice setup
Peggy M thank you !!
I just got the same case. Can’t wait to use it
Precision Angling your really going to enjoy it !
