Great video....so interesting. Love the fact that Cath's house sits on the same stone that our Statue of Liberty stands. In 1965 I made the climb to the top of her crown...(her arm was blocked off for repairs). Can not wait to see your Mum's quilts all finished.

This was so much fun. I used to be such a snob about the idea of taking my quilts to a longarmer. Thinking that I needed to quilt every single one myself. Now I believe it's a wonderful collaboration between artists. Hand quilting has become a passion of mine and because of you I have taken up epp! Working on my first now as I care for my Mom in hospice at home. Qullting is such great therapy. Watchung your videos has been therapy as well so thank you and Anna for helping you out so much, family are so precious.

Oh my! A real treat to see - just watched your “red suitcase reveal” video last evening, and now the chance to see your Mom’s quilts at the long-armer’s to be quilted. And so much more! Kate and Anna and Cath - thank you so much for this wonderful window into the process of final quilting for a quilt. I loved every minute, especially loved the sample at the end that showed the several weights of Aurafil thread and how they will work with the quilt. Learned SO much! Thank you all!

Hi, Kate. You mentioned the pink and red quilt so fondly that I went back to watch those videos again. As you were hand sewing the binding on, Norma popped up on the table blocking the camera. Your expression and the situation made me giggle so much I had tears in my eyes. I'm 70 and giggling... The quilt was beautiful, but you and Norma were the icing! Thanks for keeping that unexpected gem in your finished content. Dee in Pennsylvania.

I found a quilter to finish 4 quilt tops my great-grandmother pieced. My g-grandma died in 1978. The tops have been in my mom's basement 40+ years. The quilter said some of the fabric is from the 1930s. So I think taking 3.5 years to get your mom's tops to the long-arm quilter is pretty good. It was amazing to see my great-grandma's quilts completed! Can't wait to see how your mom's look 💚

I bought a trunk of odds and sods 40 years ago, there was a lot of pieced quilt bits and my grans quilting friends quilted it and they were convinced it was over 100 years old. So thats the longest I think a quilt has waited to be born. I have been longing to vacation in Scotland and now want to bring a quilt top to have Cath quilt while exploring the Hebrides and touring canals. What a memory that will be.

The grey is stunning. I love it. What a contrast from the white background to grey. Thank you for sharing with us.

All of those quilts are gorgeous but the purple and blue blocks are stunning.

Loved the trip out with you and Anna, even though I do not quilt. I've always wanted to try English paper piecing though, and seeing some of your previous videos has decided it - I'm going to give it a go. I don't mind stitching by hand (my main hobby is cross stitch) so I think it would suit me. Impressed by the lovely tray of healthy snacks - until I saw the huge bag of crisps being passed to Anna!

I have a friend in Selkirk, so I know that part of Scotland but I've never been west or in the Highlands. So its funny to me when you say you're not going to the Scotland people imagine, because its exactly my Scotland ❤

Another lovely video... Now then, Kate ... as a very , very distant 'Scouse' cousin.... I would love one of those quilts! ( was worth a try!! ) I am sure all the recipients will be very grateful for them and delighted to have them... and if they aren't... well ..... there's a very very distant cousin somewhere ... hehehehe....

Fantastic Kate! It was so enjoyable as well as informative! I loved seeing your mom’s quilts as well as Cat’s quilts. Can’t wait until you return to pick them up. Imagine Cat’s house built with the same sandstone as the Statue of Liberty?! Fascinating! You and Anna make such a great team!
