I just bought a vintage printers tray complete with miniatures at an estate sale on Saturday. Including baskets carved out of peach pits. Lots of dogs, chickens, bird nests and many other items all for $32. Tons of people passed it by.
NICE sounds like a great buy!
Wow peach pits you scored big time
Bless your heart for helping us make some money or selling stuff way to cheap
On the kitty compact: 80C means 800 / 1000 Continental Silver 😊
Thank you
Thank you for spotlighting miniatures! With the dollhouse miniatures, it helps to be familiar with the makers. Handcrafted and high quality count towards value. Condition and scarcity also count. The little chairs were upholstered in high count per inch petitpoint, hand done by an artisan. The silk rug was made with high density hand-done knots in the same technique as an expensive persian rug. The antique miniature portrait was skillfully hand-painted on ivory. Johannes Landsman is a very well known artist in miniature painting whose work sells for high prices. I dont know if he made the wooden mounting for the firescreen, but it is also hand made by an artist. The Stokesay Ware is not hand-painted, it's transfer ware. The sets were more expensive than I was willing to pay when they were first made. As far as I know, the teasets are not rare. I think a complete set would always command a healthy price, but I'm surprised it sold for that much. So apply the same criteria you would use for any art object because that's what these are, not toys. Look for hand-crafted , finely finished pieces, hopefully signed by the artisan if you are looking to sell at these prices. There are vintage/antique commercial pieces that can also do well. The dollhouse miniature hobby is expensive even with new commercial items.
Thank you so much this is mind blowing, I have so many of the tiny stuff, because I am weird, now you made me think. Seriously thank you for spending so much time to do this.
You are so welcome!
Omg I just left a collection of these just the right shoes at the thrift in baggies 😮 thanks for your knowledge
Happy to help! Go get em LOL!
I have never heard of any ot these minatures, what a great informative video.
Glad it was helpful!
Those ducks are beautiful 😍 I’m Cuban - American so I gravitate towards ducks, flamingo’s birds tropical art is gorgeous ❤😊
Yes I love flamingo stuff too!
I’m actually feeling proud I’ve found 2 of the items you showed! None of mine sold at those prices but they were worth a pickup.
I found a Just the Right Shoe at a consignment store that I bought for $7 and sold for $40. And at my local thrift I found 4 baggies with 4 Jett Burnett mini ducks in each. Sold them ranging from $25 - $75 each.
Something else to look for are some of the Historical Potbelly figures. They are tiny resin roly poly figures that don’t look like much but can sell high. I bought 1 of Anne Boleyn for $20 and sold for $225. I know that doesn’t reach the prices you showcased but they should definitely be a miniature bolo!
I would love another research video with the lower priced miniatures!
Yes definetly great sales and i agree something to look out for! Thanks for the tip
OMG My Grandpa used to make me peach pit baskets when I was a little girl!
That's awesome
I recall in the past wooden drawers??? That once held small printing stamps ..had many little little compartments...Could be mounted on the wall and used for miniature display. Thank you for your insights
Ohhh yes printing trays they are great for display, storage and they sell welL!
Great video - very enlightening on miniatures! thank you
You're welcome
I believe ours is a Chinook. Rescue labeled him as a husky mix. He's got the traits of the above mentioned. He's quite demanding but alas we're hoping he gets better. He doesn't understand no, maybe selectively. We want to get him trained but he's afraid of rides.
The tiny magnifying glass and Almanac were adorable! Thanks!
YES! So much money too it's crazy!
Oooh, I have a “Saint Christopher” similar to that one. It’s super tiny & marked 14kt. Cool
Oh nice!
Anything related to Sarah J Maas, author of Throne of Glass, will sell. Look up Crescent City and A Court of Thorns and Roses by her as well
WOW this is amazing. Would definitely love a lower dollar range miniature video too. Thank you!!!
Very interesting, thank you Kate for a great video
You're welcome!
Love these researched videos, Kat!
Glad you like them!
White gold gets missed too. Looks very unassuming . I'll be honest . Most of this stuff I would pass over thinking it was junk especially if it was mixed in with other little junk.
Oh yes very true good point!
You can size these by the bear pin. That is a standard size pin. So at the most largest 3 inches and that is pushing it.
For heavens sake, Kat! Amazing.
Thank you and many blessings,
K.T.
Thank you so much!
I have a printers/letterpress cabinet in the basement. 😮 Im abt to use it all up, lol.

@@TheNurseFlipper Hey i have to talk with you about an item I have and an item you have. Can I get your email so I can send you a message, please?
😳😳😳😳!!!
Great video, but that miniature portrait is watercolor on ivory, not a photograph. Very different thing.
Thanks for the info!
🙏🏼🤍🙏🏼🤍🙏🏼
💋 hey girlfriend, you look beautiful love that lipstick on you and your eyebrows look great. Don’t usually make comments like that but thought I’d tell you.
Thank you so much!!
I’m getting SO frustrated. I keep setting aside the items I think would sell best at auction but I want to be established on EBay first. I buy on EBay & have no issues. Now that I want to sell they can’t verify me. I get delivery at a PO Box but I put my street address in the first line of everything. Now even when I use my street address it gives the error “can’t use P.O. Box”. I’ve spent HOURS trying to get this settled. I have 2 miniature dollhouse hooked rugs in that tub waiting and they’re both occupied Japan. Sorry, I needed to vent…
If you have po box on it at all it will reject i would try just putting box with no po
With mine I have to put my street address and right after put # and P.O. Box number
I’m actually a retired postal employee so this shouldn’t even be a problem. I’ve tried every iteration of my address possible but the correct “should be” street address and then the P.O. Box in the “optional” line. I’m having multiple issues. Somewhere along the line my actual 911 address is only listed as a P.O. Box. That would be worrying but my husband is an EMT so he knows how to get here. 😆 Second problem is my town is divided into two counties. We’re right on the line so while most things go to the main county some of the towns issues are dealt with from the other. So far I’ve spent hours going back & forth with eBay, my towns postmaster, the supervisor of the Barnes Co PO, the Barnes Co sheriff, now I’m supposed to move over to Cass County Sheriff dept and go from there. I haven’t done that yet because my brain is about to burst. I’m just going to have to keep selling on Etsy until it gets straightened out. I’m still saving a few of my best finds for when (if) I get established on EBay.
@@TcTess My town is split into 3 counties, the name on my street sign does not match the address for my property taxes, I have a rural box, My zip code is for a town 30 miles away. I used to tell people when they asked where I live, "half a mile from the twilight zone". Trust me, I feel your pain.
Are you sure we’re not from the same town? 😂 The numbers here have no rhyme or reason and some people have the same number. Even the street names are messy. We live on Maine St but any time I put that down it gets autocorrected to Main.
