  • #thriftwithme, Ph.D. Antiques Appraiser Dr. Lori, as I go #shopping at the Goodwill thrift #shop in Fairfield, CT. Watch me show you the stuff shoppers before me missed including Noritake, a Murano style glass dish, St. Regis fine china, future valuable collectibles and more. Buy them low now and sell high later!
Learn how to tell a plate made in Italy by its color, what the "M" mark means on a piece of ceramics, and how to tell an art studio piece of pottery. Plus, I show you how to identify a sauce boat from the 1950s. There is so much more, you have to watch. I left all the treasures there for you!

She teaches. They are all interesting, but she teaches, which makes so much difference. With the others, what you do is guess something that they may like, something you think they would pick up, and in doing so, I miss sometimes. However, she teaches, which is kinda a similar to teaching a man to fish. Thank you Dr, Lori.

I toured McKenzie Child’s back in the late 90s - early 2000(?) when the original owners where still there. It was a very interesting experience. Very rural, un polished, artsy, right down to the pottery glued to the restroom ceiling.

I live in Las Vegas, and our Goodwill has the quality of items that you would expect to find at the corner house who has a garage sale every weekend. • @JaimeMesChiens

    Hi Dr Laurie.
I live in Southern CT and I’ll be heading to Fairfield tomorrow to pick up that beautiful, little Dutch tray.
Oh, and those Noritake covered dish.
I cannot see the pattern clearly.
    Is it Shenandoah?
For $5. that quiche plate is coming home with me, too!
My son is a chef (we are French) and that roses design is gorgeous!
He find many professional-quality kitchenware at thrift and consignment shops.
I recently picked up a fabulous Cuisinarts saute pan, with lid, for $1.99
    That was a rare find!
My son thinks that particular pan/ lid retails for about $200.
It looks to en fro. The 1970s, the writing is French, and it looks nearly new.
I suspect someone went to heaven and a non-cook donated what he/ she did not want.
Have you yet found Cuisinarts cookware at thrift shop?
    I love your channel. ❤

Please let me know who's making $10 a plate on red ironstone transferware dinner plates. I've done well with red and blue, but the ironstone I try to pick up at half price and don't like to pay more than a dollar or two a plate. You might make $5 a plate online if you're lucky. It's the unique items in this category such as covered dishes and the like that make money. I've also done well with Blue Staffordshire.
