- Watch expert Dr. Lori go #shopping at the Goodwill thrift #shop in Glastonbury, Connecticut as she uncovers a Pyrex bowl, Candlewick #glass and the next hot collectible. See the Colonial American revival platter that is unmarked and under the radar now at low prices, but is expected to spike in value in just a few years. Don't miss it!
Dr. Lori points out the pieces you should leave behind and shows you why. She also values a bunch of metallic trays and bowls. Some trays are from the 1950s. As she looks for treasure, see the new inventory placed on the shelves as she is in the store shopping including Theodore Haviland Limoges plates, Waterford crystal and a clearly marked porcelain bowl worth thirty times its sticker price.

I was just saying today how my momma's 70 year old Pyrex casserole dish is a workhorse. It came with a hammered silver casserole cover but I don't use it. Imagine a dish lasting this long. ❤
Dr Lori, I appreciate you SOOOO much! I just want to thank you for your knowledge and your willingness to share it ❣️ I don’t resell, but I still appreciate and buy the valuable pieces that you guide me to. I’m thinking that I should explore the possibilities of reselling, as a senior? Just turned 73😱😃. It sure would help ! 😊
You are a HOOT❣️ you’re the kind of person that I would like to have as a friend! Thanks for everything that you share 💖.
Thanks Dr. Lori! I love all your videos, but these ones of you shopping in an actual thrift store are the best. Cheers!
Yes, these are the best.
Dr. Lori, you are a wealth of information. Thank you for teaching us.😊
Shopping in theift stores is necessary for people without much money. Finding things to use themselves and not to resale us wonderful.😊😊
I love Pyrex
Love shopping with you, learn so much but they go by so fast!! 😊

It's amazing that objects like that are showing up at the goodwill
I so enjoy your videos! I enjoy your sense of humor! I enjoy learning all that you have to teach us! Thank you so much for sharing your priceless knowledge! !
I agree with you on the colonial plates , the Candlewick is nice. My mother had that! Pyrex is useful no matter the color! Waterford at that price is a steal! The Limoges is exactly like my Grandmother's, which I now have ❤. I would never sell it!
Is your Haviland limoges the apple blossom or the Rosalind pattern.
Dr.Lori is so amazing. This is another great video!! Thank you so much!!
Hi Dr. Lori, I love your videos! I appreciate you sharing your hard work & knowledge with us students who want to be successful reselling! Knowledge is power! Thank you for keeping us up with current rising items for resellers at this time! You're amazing & very appreciated ❤
Dr. Lori!! Thankyou as always. I hope you find your blueberry pie…my fave is strawberry NOT with rhubarb!! I have been looking also. Last one I bought at a church bazaar…I ate the whole thing. 😂10 years ago. Looking ever since. I tried to make one. It was aweful🫐
Just do like me. Make your own blueberry pie when the berries are cheap and freeze, freeze, freeze.
I love Bluberry pie too. Thank you for all of your professional help. I appreciate it.
The 1970's was my favorite decade. They were my teenage and young adult years. It kills me when I run across something like I owned that I bought cheaply that's now crazy expensive lol. I love me some Limoge (sp?)
I love the turkey platter.❤😊😮
Love you, Lori, love your channel.
My husband made a blueberry pie years ago for Thanksgiving & added a bit too much corn starch. It was the firmest with zero juice blueberry pie we've ever seen or eaten. We still talk about that pie! ❤❤❤
Thank you, Dr. Lori! Love learning whilst shopping with you. 😊
Dr Lori, I have taken your advice & have been picking up bicentennial items as I come across them. Stashing them for 2026! 🗽🔔🇺🇸
Dr Lori your videos have helped me score big at goodwill. I found a Baccarat crystal wine coaster for $1.99 then got my senior discount on top of that. Then sold for a nice profit. Keep the videos coming!
You’re amazing! ❤ I love listening and learning from you!! Thank you!!
This was a fun one and I hope you didn't forget to say hello to your fans😊
Dr. Lori, working at Goodwill I listened and cut out tape, my saran wrapping skills are stellar now. Thank
you for the advice, hope to see you this spring fair weather friend.❤
Dr Lori, thank you for the tips!
I have the whole set of Early American Colonial that you showed. 😊
I just love dishes and all glass wear. I have several small and large pitcher's creamers gravy and so on some marked some not but I love collecting them and colored glass baskets. I just don't find enough glass things in purple wonder why.? Any way it's always fun to spend time with you. ❤
Thank you! I'm always continuing learning from your videos! ❤
Great job Dr. Lori as always
I Love your videos I learn a lot from you thank you for letting us know about different kinds of things on your channel and sharing your videos, Melanie From Tehachapi California 😊
I don’t know why but I am drawn to American Colonial, love that green plate!
Good for you.
One time could you look at jewelry at the Goodwill or thrift store? Thank you so much. Love thrifting with you. Enjoy and stay safe.
Have you searched my channel for the many videos I've done on jewelry?
That was cool!!
Gotta admit ..... I am one of those who couldn't pass up the Pyrex!! 😂

I always learn so much from you!!! Thank you!
Love watching your thrifting videos!!!
I have a complete set of Havilland Limoges that belonged to my great aunt.
After watching this video, I found a set of 27 pieces of the colonial green dishware. I’m prepared to wait for them to go up in value. Thanks for the tip, Dr. Lori!
Wow! Great finds! Very educational information. Thanks. 😉👍❤
My grandmother bought a complete set of the Green Colonial china (plates, cups, saucers, etc,) with S&H Green Stamps in the late 1960's.
Glad to hear about the Bicentennial items, I kept my moms and Grandmothers pieces thinking someday it would come back.
I learn something new with every video.
Dr.Lori where are you at ,the prices are incredible 😲 love to see you always, I learn alot thank you 😊
Very interesting and informative
Thank you Dr. Lori!
Thank you Lori!
I’m learning soo much! I wish I could spot the things you do but I’m learning.
Thank you for the education on these items in this video. I have a few. Items that you spoke about in this video.
Thanks for teaching us!
Yes, look twice :)
Thanks Dr Laurie😊
These days I stay invisible but I gotta say Dr. Lori this is tops as always thank you!
thanks Dr. Lori
Went to goodwill a few days ago, thought i found more limoge but it was a fake limoge made in China (looked up the makers mark) also found golden blossom candlesticks (in good condition, still has all the gold gilding) bad news the 3rd was made in a tacky light fixture so i didn't buy it. Came back later and found 2 pieces of austria hasburg porcelain, not chipped. There is some gilding and not all but it looked like the pieces had been sitting in a box forgotten since they were covered in dirt. No idea the pattern or worth but i snagged/ rescued them
Good to know the aluminum trays I've been collecting likely average $20! I'd love that first figural one, with the branches.
I love shopping and learning with you Dr. Lori
Gracias. I don't resell but just like learning new stuff, especially when you are in Hershey area so I know what stores the visit the next time I come up from central Mexico to visit family. Enjoy the new year!
Cool video...lots of great teaching...Thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing this! I love watching your channel. 💯
Im learning so much🎉be safe
Thank you for the great information 😊😊😊
I’ve got many Pyrex pieces like that! I try for the purple ones!
Purple pyrex?
Watching in Kentucky! Love all your videos!❤
I liked the turkey platter. It would look good with my pewter. I wish that store was near me !
❤❤❤ THE BEST! Dr Lori!
Then… there’s the rest.
Nice. Thanks
Excellent 👍 examples
Love the knowledge
Love this!
I found a small limoges plate with poppies and a gold rim for three dollars at goodwill
I love these videos!
It is interesting the 'sold' values that are being quoted. Im curious where these figures are coming from as most of these items are selling for nowhere near what is being stated....at least on ebay. Where are the sold values being pulled from?
My values are based on actual sales. Believe what you want. I offer reselling classes if you want to learn about the markets, not just one platform.
Your videos are the best
Awesome information😊
I just discovered you and I am addicted!!!
TY for the VIDEO
I have one of those eggs.
Dr Lori can you tell me why resellers don’t buy anything made in China ,even if they are lovely, love your channel, your so knowledgeable Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Have you asked them?
Love your videos
Brand new to watching you on YT !! I am not nor ever will be a reseller but love to visit thrift stores. You mentioned sites to check out what things resell for - can you tell me what ones you suggest?
Welcome!! Have you watched all my videos on reselling? Read my articles on my website? I also offer classes.
I visit there periodically…..I would love to run into you! Would definitely say hello….I’ve been on the look out for any colonial motifs per your advice!
1p Dr.Lori..thanks so much for sharing your wealth of info with us. I thought I understood why you wear cloth white gloves when you show items. It seems I recall that the natural oil on our hands can accumulate and eventually damage fabrics and designs on breakable items. When you are shopping at thrift stores are you wearing gloves for your protection? I often think about how many hands have touched stuff I pick up. So my question is should we wear gloves when looking in thrift stores too? Is it a good idea to develop the habit out of respect? Thanks and consider coming to Georgia!
Watch me explain my gloves in the video at ruclips.net/video/0gxhyPngbHI/видео.html
I miss your lives so much.
Any thoughts of asking a member of the community or lucky audience member that is passing through your neighborhood to be your guest and also teach them valuable hands on knowledge?
The pie plate doesn't seem to be deep enough, i like mine deeper so the pie isn't friendly ( when the crust bottom and top aren't too close)
My mom had the whole set of those green and white dishes. Ugh
Nobody in their right mind would pay $40.00 for the colonial platter. Price is very inflated.
My values are based on what people really pay. Actual sales. Believe what you want.
Depends on how badly you want something. I’ve paid a bit more for sentimental pieces as I’m not a reseller
My mother had the complete set
I've got a pyrex pie plate under a plant. Maybe I'll retrieve it.
What about pewter jewelry? I found a pewter cuff bracelet in my blue box decorative to a flower of the month design.
I can review your bracelet. See the options on my website.
That olive green and white platter is so ugly. I lived through the '70's and I wouldn't pay a dollar for that. I find it so interesting what people will buy. Your channel was recommended to me from RUclips. I love it. I subscribed.
Thats funny because i agree with you completely, he green plate is hideous!! When i go thrifting with my 94 yr old mother, she thinks that what i like is just old junk!
The items are being rediscovered by new generations! Its aweaome they find value in reusing and recycling your "old junk" instead of buying new crap.
My mother in law had a whole set of the green and white dishes in the 70’s.
The 70s are coming back. You'd be surprised! I don't particularly like that one plate, but the greens and rusty oranges are back.
Dr.Lori what do you think the price is for Homer Laughton,Virginia Rose dish ware is valued at? Thank-you 😊
Many factors affect value. Need to see your piece. Check out my website for options.
❤❤
i enjoy you!
I love watching your videos. I try to play along as you’re explaining what type of China it is and from what time. Period I’m good with 20th century China. I even can pick out some patterns which isn’t bad considering I watch you on my iPhone in bed. Thanks for the entertainment. I’d love to just spend the afternoon shopping with you one day, keep on shopping and making your videos.
And Metallics I am shocked
What some finds. I have to say this. That lady that was behind you was following you to find what you were talking about just made me laugh my head off. I thought she was going to hit you with her buggy.
Bishops in Guilford for Blueberry pie
❤️❤️❤️
