Hey, so im a former trainer here on youtube for ebay, and a current concierge member. You can press and ask to have an affidavit form sent to you and attest that you did not get the correct item back. Ebay will review it and almost certainly issue you a refund. You must ask for this resolution, most will not offer it. Additionally, dont let one horrid customer spook you from selling online. This video is a bit longer that I can finish, but reach out if you need help. I can also help with the feedbacks.
It’s nice to see someone like yourself that has your experience and work with/for those businesses reach out to people who really do try and do the right thing
I've been ripped off so many times by eBay buyers simply because eBay always, without fail, takes sides with the buyer every single time! I've had numerous junk sent back to me that I didnt even send. So many times people send back broken trash and serial numbers dont match, like some sort of scam way to replace their own broken junk.
eBay are the problem. Even when I have gone over and above to prove to eBay that the items the seller are claiming was sent, are not the items that were sold, nor what was returned, at my expense, eBay just said "Nothing wrong here..." and refunded the seller, plus I had to pay return postage!
I only sell "Cash on collection now", nothing else. I refuse to post anything, to anybody.
eBays removal of feedback for buyers was a huge turning point in screwing sellers too...
First time here and this whole situation is awful. I think everyone needs to know that buyer's eBay user ID so we can all block her. She knows how to game the system and she's not going to stop with you...she'll keep finding victims until someone can afford to stop her. There's a special place in hell for people like her. I'm sorry she contributed to stealing your joy.
If you message me on IG or email me I’ll share the names for you to block on eBay. Kelzmailjoy on IG or Kelzmailjoy@gmail.com
Some people are so self entitled and rude. I honestly never had such rude behaviour cross my mind. Try to stay strong throughout this and hopefully karma will bite that individual in the arse.
I been scammed too. Always make them return it. Always. %99.9 of the time it is some one abusing the auto refund system that large companies have online.
@@Bawkr the other day i bought something from etsy and the other platform, have a look around -
if one door closes - an other door opens up
I'm so sorry my friend!! ❤I truly don't understand people sometimes!!
Sorry to hear about your situation. I am a 41 yo Dad who stumbled onto your video. I wish I was in the market for postcards to help you, but it just isnt in my wheelhouse. I am so sorry you have been dealing with it. People are such assholes.
Im so sorry thats awful!
Contact the attorney general in her state and file a claim for fraud.
You should actively call out these people in all the communities they are a part of to warn others and hopefully have them black listed. Don't be timid about posting their details publicly, they don't care about you so don't care about them.
Awe Kelly I’m so sorry this happened to you☹️ I hate to see good people like you being taken advantage of. I know closing your business wasn’t an easy decision but this is an end of one thing but the beginning of something else. I wish you nothing but the best girl!
I am sick of eBay so ready to quit after 25 years.
@@Recallalertnetwork111 It has definitely changed over the years and there doesn’t seem to much favor, if any, towards sellers. It’s sad and disheartening.
😮😢 I am SO SORRY that these things happened to you. This is a mess
I had a similar thing happen. Someone tried to get me for $600.00. It took me 90 days but pay pal sided with me. This chick bought stuff from me, put it in her Facebook page for sale immediately then filed a
Claim
Saying “she didn’t authorize purchase”.
Lots happened but my last phone call with her (or rather her father because she blocked me) I told her/them that she did not know who she was dealing with and if I had to drive from New Orleans to Atlanta, I would be filing charges in her courts as well as federal charges with the US post office.!
My goodness. What a nightmare. I am so sorry you had to go through that.
You can contact the police department in her state. I would call her police department & see what you can do. With ebay i did that & got my money back after filing a police report. I HATE scammers.im sorry you have gone through this. Try & keep your head up.
American Express allowed a customer to charge-back $10,000.00 for 30 purchases over a 6 month period during 2006. I won't say how but in 2018 I was able to recover a greater sum from AMEX (not that they care about my loss or theirs). I had a an online retail business for 15 years. My goal was to run an honest business. It wasn't possible due to dishonest people and careless corporations. Fortunately I had no personal interest in the items I sold. Your business seems to be of a personal interest or a hobby. It's terrible that someone has tainted your experience with something you enjoy. Hopefully sooner than later you won't think about any of your unpleasant experiences.
@@fellowtrades7438 that’s crazy!!!! I’m glad you were able to recover a greater sum. That’s the hard part, banks are allowing this to happen. I get there are legit scams out there but a lot of time the customer is the scammer, and then always siding with the customer is allowing it to continue. I hate it. I worked in banking and they focus on the big losses. These aren’t losses for them because they are making us pay back the money. They made money off of me fining me for the chargeback. It has definitely hurt my love for it.
Don't let her get away with it report her to the police department plus she didn't send you back the original products you need to show her name email company name to all of us. Thanks. God bless
Well, I am a eBay seller myself and can understand the frustraction. I would do 2 things in this case. 1) Update shipping policy: The buyer paying return shipping. 2) Sell only solo card with value above $10 so you can only track and ship individually
Don't be afraid to use civil court when someone steals from you. I had $1500 stolen from me on ebay from another business and I ended up taking them to small claims court and won because they never showed up. They had to pay me my $1500 back and all my filing/shipping fees.
truly sad as i would love to sell on eBay again.. but scammers basically killed it for me.. i have some really cool items but dont want to get scammed again.. eBay needs to do something about this.. if not i hope they go out of business.. been a eBay member since 2004.. sad to see where it has gone..
Makes sense- Good luck & God bless you
Post that Ebayers User ID.
It is not a privacy thing.
I had an issue about 6 months ago with some scammer. I generally try not to sell really expensive items on there.
@@tom11zz884 Yes I agree, I don’t do expensive items there either. Unfortunately her username is her name the reason I didn’t post it. I didn’t want to risk defamation. My luck she would win scamming me and defamation. Smh
Ebay Sucks.. I bought a computer that was a great deal and paid right away. The seller then said the item was damaged and not available. Then it was listed again with the same photos and descripton, serial number, etc for a higher price.
Resellers really need a few fellow resellers to stand up against eBay and get a lawyer involved in some of these situations. I’ve heard many stories of them messing over resellers. It’s frustrating that they allow for the bad buyers to do what they do.
Ebay is crap I would advise anyone to quit eBay, and not even start on eBay.
Ebay is garbage. I had a similar experience and I was at the worst time in my life where I needed that money for bills. I don't even know why they give the option to offer no returns but they want you to offer returns so you only have to pay half what a sham.
@@muramasa24 I agree. I was in the same boat myself financially when these happened. eBay definitely seems to be more about screwing the seller over.
Not my usual overly-macho videos like ausarmor, tanks, etc. But I totally get it, cause I quit ebay nearly 10 years back too many scammers sending their broken junk back and ebay failing to recognize serial numbers are unique. So I've only bought off it a few times since and only when I couldn't find what I needed anywhere else at any cost. The website people sound horrible, but there's lots of other shop/website companies to choose from. Hope you get to take a break this weekend to relax and get your second wind as they say. Wish you all the best!
So sorry to hear that
It’s a terrible return policy for sure. I sell used auto parts, and so many times “oh I didn’t need this my mechanic said it wasn’t right” and then they return their old junk part, and they keep the part I sent them. Sometimes I can refund them 50%, but it gets old and I feel your pain on the matter
@@ancientnumber I have heard a lot of stories like that. It’s crazy. Seems the scams are getting worse and worse.
If there is a worst company to see through than eBay, I haven't heard of them. It's bad enough they rolled out the red carpet for scammers (thieves) so sellers are ALWAYS on the losing end of a transaction but now you can't even warn other sellers of these thieves. It also sounds like your website company may be trash also. Just learn and move on, don't let these setbacks define you or your business.
well you can prove that by providing Ebay with the actual weight when it was shipped from your house out versus the weight when it was shipped from the customer back to you and you can get that from the Post Office because whenever the mail carrier scans the package it registers the actual weight inside whenever it hits a mail processing facility....
use invisible ink and a black light pen and make a mark on items you sell.....
For what?
@@adrianab5639 when selling an item, expensive of even inexpensive, if you feel there may be a scam or you want to put some personal assurance on it. Write your initials on it, use the blacklight to take a pic, and if you get something back that you don't think might be yours you now have proof...
I am a seller too. That website company sounds terrible. Can you please share the name so that we know what to stay away from? Thanks❤
Kelly, I was an ebay seller 30 years ago, im in the uk, never had a return or all the rubbish going on now. I feel for you hunny xx
Just think about it, when you do get your money back through your bank, those that stole the money get to keep the money they stole. Ebay and Facebook are allowing these scammers, making them accomplices and probably are the scammers.
Probably wasn't even a she. I was conned on Ebay too. I had 2 Taylor Swift CDs bid up to what they were worth the first day and 24 hours before the end of the auction the person backed out and they ended up selling for almost half of what they sold for on Ebay like 4 or 5 times because previous bidders had stopped following the items. Guarantee that person knew exactly what they were doing and probably went to their second Ebay account.
eBay seems to favor the buyer and not the seller these days
has been that way for many years
eBay is a disaster with the kinds of things and buyers they allow on the site, and to stay on the site. I swear I get some of the lowest intelligence people on this entire earth buying my stuff sometimes LOL. Its astounding some of the things I read/see
I made one purchase on eBay. Two days later I got banned. eBay refused to give me a reason. I have never missed them they can go swivel 😂
@@tonyherrera316 that’s crazy!!! It’s weird the people they ban and the people they let get away with stuff.
Can’t you contact her local police department to investigate her? I guarantee she is doing this to a lot of people not just you. Police need to search her computer, bank statements and internet activities. Why do you need to go to her state for them to investigate her if you have evidence to send them outside of actually suing her and attending the court date? Also couldn’t you sue her to cover all your legal fees as well? I would even try to find a lawyer to do it pro bono and create a bigger case if you can somehow find other sellers she has scammed by looking through her feedback and contacting them. I know it’s alot but scammers make me angry I would come for her neck lol
@@la6136 Scammers make very angry as well, because they seem to usually win. I have spoken with her police department 3 times and I’m always told that it has to be filed in my state. I’m still trying a few more things to see as a last resort. Yes, I can take it to civil court. I’ve worked in collections before and it’s a pain. I could include court cost in the claim, but I still have to pay upfront and even if I’m awarded it, it doesn’t mean I’ll actually receive it. So time and money was it’s just not necessarily worth it. If time and money weren’t an issue I would most definitely do it. Myself, and both police departments have stated she is most definitely doing this on a regular basis. I submitted the police report with the information submitted to the bank. At this point the bank will be the biggest help to stopping her. However, I believe that she has/had multiple bank accounts and does this so many times and then closes accounts. It sucks, and I have felt so defeated.
@@Kelzkitchen First time here, this sucks! I always pursue scammers as far as I can too, it really grinds my gears! I did email you, I also sell postcards, she will be blocked.
Who is she?
@@Recallalertnetwork111 If you message me on IG or email me I’ll share the names for you to block on eBay. Kelzmailjoy on IG or Kelzmailjoy@gmail.com
Trust me I want to put her on blast. My luck she would probably get me for defamation and still get away with scamming people. It’s a messed up system.
omg who was this buyer...please!
@@susanarrington9371 you can email me at Kelzmailjoy@gmail.com or on IG @ kelzmailjoy and I will send the info to to you.
Can you sue ebay? have you spoken to an attorney?
I have a policy that buyer pays return shipping. And I only refund what they pay for item and not the shipping. Also... since they pay shipping I don't have to send lables.
@@semperfi-1918 unfortunately your policy doesn’t matter to eBay when it’s INAD. Which massively sucks when the customer lies about it. I tried making her pay shipping but eBay said I couldn’t, and if I wanted my items back I had to pay it, or they ultimately would just refund her money and she would keep the items.
@@Kelzkitchen I have been lucky. I had a return for an inad and got the Item working took pictures and deducted origional shipping. But then again.. I was lucky.
@@semperfi-1918 yes you were. I hope you stay lucky. This has been such a mess.
@@Kelzkitchen stay positive. Some things are out of our control. Remember to take the feelings out of the business. Sometimes I wonder myself. But in the end it's the cost of doing business.
It is a hard lesson to learn but it is going to happen. 100k + orders online and it has happened about 100 times. Worst one was $480 which I fortunately had insurance on.
Mail fraud will unfortunately go nowhere.
I'm sorry that all happened. Don't let something like this stop you from doing what you love.
What happened to you is terrible.
u should have simply refunded, no label, no return
@@cryptotard1422 I disagree.
Hey Kelly…TFS 🦩🌸🐝💖 I’m so sorry 😢 I stoped eBay just because of that. People have no scruples.
