The large shells are worth good money. If you plan on listing in Ebay note that they do not allow you to sell shells that are now considered endangered species so research what you have first. Conchs are not allowed for sure. That said I live by the ocean here in Washington and I noticed that the thrift stores are selling still but they may not even know they cannot. Sorry I am kind of a science nerd so I wanted to let you know what the mottled flaking material on the conch is. It is called conchiolin. A waterproof resin-like material made from protein and sugar. It forms the outside layer of every mollusk called the periostracum. Some retain it permanently, but in many it breaks away as the shell thickens or becomes dried. Thus the flaking off out of water. You can scrub as much as possible off but some will still stick to the shell.
Ebay's policy is just that a policy. I'm not sure if it's against the law to sell them

Value of Sea Shells of high quality are graded like stone jewelry. The Queen Conchs are great for decorating in a bowl, patio ect.
Longerburger actually says its name on the bottom and once you see one you know junk from them. Lol

Put a shell up to your ear and listen to the ocean. Comp them I believe you have some good ones, especially the big ones! Cool find. I lived in Florida and never saw any so big. Score!
Swf beach life is a good person to ask about the shells. If you buy the shells in the shops in Florida, the shells are on the expensive side. Your video rocks.
The shells would be a great display along with the book at a library. I would use the tin to store smaller Halloween items.

I'm from Australia the big shells are worth money, I sold a one of the shell called a conch shell for $80 I had so many people messaging me 2 seconds after I put it on line

Some shells can no longer be harvested. It's illegal. Hopefully you have a few of those. Some of those are gorgeous. Make sure and do your research on them and get the scoop on them. Love you guys.

Longaberger are not wicker they are wood slat . They are marked in bottom and signed by the weaver.

Nice finds. Definitely do the research on the shells. I saw about 5 in there that would bring really good money. The condition on a couple of the bigger ones tell me that they are older or have been kept outside. Shells are amazing with all of the different types and shapes. If I was able to do this, I know without a shadow of a doubt, I’d become a hoarder. I’d see some reason to keep everything! It’s just as well I’m unable to go out. But, I am happy to know others do this, every little bit helps to keep things from going to a land fill. ✌🏼❤️

Cool shells - the cone shell is especially awesome. I collect shells - These are all from south Florida and the Caribbean. The two with the pink inside are conch shells the stuff flaking off the out side of the shell is called periostracum - it's a natural coating that when dried flakes off- as you can see. They're are also helmet shells, a beautiful multicoloured cone shell, and a large scallop shell. Just to name a few - They're very nice and collectors may well be interested in buying some of them.

Soak those big crusty shells and they will be so beautiful. You will be surprised. You can also use muric acid on them but you have to be really careful. Great score!

some shells are illegal to sell, so get them checked out before listing them. Those big ones can bring in a $$$
The pink thing was a gymnastics leotard in thr beginning and was jw do you have a ride across any old cheerleading uniforms for All Star cheer uniforms they have the team names on them with rhinestones. If so we can use any of those gymnastics items or anything cheerleading related if you run across any. We would buy those items

Hello, I am a seashell collector of expensive, rare, International and common shells. I plan to have a private sale this year also of my fossils, minerals and crystals. I would never throw them away.
I have that same bread machine, it works so good! I’m hoping you picked it up, but I’m only half way through, lol.
The shells are incredible and you should handle them with more care...they are very valuable in more than just money

I can't believe people put stuff out like that. My trash company would never take any of it. Everything has to be in a can and we can only pot one large item out a week.
Some cities have bulk trash pickup days 2x's a year and so people allowed to put stuff out on the curb for that reason.
As someone who grew up in the area where Longaburger is from, you can tell by the bottom if there is a signature from the basket weavers or even from the owners, like Dave Longaberger or his children. Also there will be like a metal tag (?) plate on the front to say what type of basket it is like a Halloween one or a 1991 Christmas one, what have you. My mom used to work in a store that sold a LOT of Longaberger, and it follows me despite no longer living in the town where they're from.
I think it’d be worth taking the shells to a pawn shop because you could probably make a little bit of money there.

Sad backstort, abusive man took credit for his wife's artwork and when it became popular he forced her to produce more to enrich himself.
