Your trash picking etiquette should include picking up the mess you make!
Gosh lady tidy up after yourself i,ve just subscribed !
I noticed that a couple times, too
You guys leave a bigger mess than what started. Not nice😮
I did notice a couple things, too🙁. The sad part is that we did clean up a lot all day. I was just dumb enough to edit out and/or not film it. In our storage locker videos I had learned that nobody wanted to watch us putting things back in the boxes and cleaning up. I think it was a mistake in this video because instead of just keeping it moving along, it is very distracting to some people.
@@FlippinTheMitten thank you for responding. Lots of folks commented. So glad you’re aware now and I think you are a kind man.
Yes I so Agree U not still leaving area better than maybe you found
It. Your also at a Degree of take all
Of anything not leaving anything for another family to enjoy. Greed can kill at any level.
Agreed and that's why some suburban cities ban scavengers or trash pickers
I love how the homeowners come out with more stuff for you and are so friendly. They probably look forward to this time of year so they can do a mini clean out. I always feel better donating what I don’t need as opposed to throwing it in the trash. My favorite item was the kids kitchen with all the pots and pans and utensils.
It really is nice of them, I feel like we met a lot of nice people out there. I think some of them do look forward to the clean out and the atmosphere of the whole event. I know what you're saying about donating, I think both the homeowners and pickers like us get a little bonus of good feelings by keeping good things from the landfill. I think the little kitchen may be Bobbie's favorite, too, lol
After digging things out of the boxes, Can't you put things back in the boxes? Don't just throw things around. That's why some people don't want people digging in their trash. They leave a mess.
I did notice a couple things, too. It's amazing what you learn watching yourself. There was something that makes it look much worse than it was, though... the editing. I think I left out every time that we put the stuff down or in the truck and picked up after that. In our other types of videos I learned that nobody wants to see us do any of the cleaning, but I think in this type it's just the opposite. I think it's distracting to not show some
This was so much fun! Finding all those valuable things to sell in a short amount of time... and all free!
Please put the things back neatly 3:22 instead of just leaving t hem strewn around.
The brass eagle you found used to be given out to home owners as a symbol of pride for the completion of the loan on the property, in other words showing your neighbors your property was paid off! It used to be a symbol of pride to property owners to display this on the front of their house, so sad to see that in the trash....glad you rescued it from recycling.
Thank you! I love the information. I am always trying to learn those types of things. It is so nice getting an interesting piece of the story about these things because I remember those eagles being a common sight years ago. So thank you very much for the info and your nice comment!!!!!
My parents had one on their house when they bought it and stayed up for years. When they took it down I took it for my house. Now I know history behind it. Thanks
@@FlippinTheMitten very welcome! Continued success to you both.
@@jessf_2001very welcome!
You should pick up after your digging
I did see some of that, too. I guess you learn something watching yourself on video. Believe it or not we did clean up a lot that day, too (including things we didn't mess up).
i miss those days i am so glad i am able to watch you all. Have a Blessed week
I'm so glad, too! Thank you, so much! You have a Blessed week, too
You opened the Polly Pocket and threw the little toys out. They sell much better with the toys. I live in Oklahoma City and we have big trash day once a month.
We went and made the sorting job harder, lol. I do hate when we mix already separated items. That sounds awesome to have the big trash day every month!!!
We have once a month in our cities in Maricopa county in Arizona. If I had a vehicle I would go doom dooming (it's what my hubby calls it). We just saved a dresser a couple days ago from the sidewalk. And I am a part of a neighbor group and we saved a brand new bed that I was just chilling I believe in a spare room. Still fully wrapped in plastic and has a cover that comes off to be washed. Also this weekend another neighbor is nice and gonna drop off 2 more dressers. I just let neighbors know we just moved and whatever furniture items and craft items we would love to regime so they don't have to go to the dump.
The little green table is Soo cute
We both thought so, too. I was surprised she was so quickly willing to sell it
I’m new to your channel. How fun to ride along with you picking. I’m tickled to have a new to me channel to follow. 🕊
How nice, thank you!!! I'm so glad you found our channel, too!
Those rock climbing shoes are gold. So expensive new.
Thank you! I totally agree, too. Those took me the longest time to remember exactly what they are (had to look them up). I had a total brain lapse on those, lol. There is no way to know what everything is... but those we have sold a number of times, fairly recently, lol
Wĥat a cool day of finds you had. Loved the first piece of furniture you picked up. The little kitchen was very cute with all the pots and cutlery. Congratulations on your finds, thoroughly enjoyed the video 😊
Thank you!!! It really was a fun day of treasure hunting. It's hard to rank the different ways to find items to sell because they are all fun, but I could say this might be the most fun way to find things. I think that kitchen may be Bobbie's favorite item
I love the lamp you left.
Small green table is awesome 😎
It really is! It was one of my favorite finds
The rugs could be sold on Facebook Market place, or next door.
That cabinet is awesome....love it! Great find :)
Thank you! It sold so fast, too
The rugs are absolutely amazing
They did turn out to be a great find, too! They sold surprisingly fast
Love the mirror and cabinet ❤😊
I did, too! The cabinet sold super fast
The Chandler good find
Yeah, I am still thinking about that one
Take the Rugs period. No matter what people even
Use for their animal crates Dogs love them wash

So right! That's another thing that I just love about doing this
What a great day of picking finds!
It really was!
1:56 heels
20:18 sneakers
24:17 lovely sandals heels wedges
Thats tall dresser thingy , wow good score
It sold so fast, too!
Awesome finds y'all 👏👏👍🤓👍
Thank you!!! It really was an awesome day of picking/treasure hunting
That cabinet 🤯 so happy you found all the great toys 🎉
Thank you!! We were really happy about those, too!
Love the mirror! Bespoke! 👍👍👍👍👍
That mirror was really nice. Thanks for the affirmation, too. Even after a lot of years, I still get a little hesitant about which furniture to get
Nice cabinet with the blue tape. Yes to the light and shade. Toy kitchen is cute.
That cabinet was so nice! Thank you about the light. I have still been thinking about that, lol. I think that kitchen might be Bobbie's favorite thing
I would take the hole box
Hello. I sée you from Paris, France.
I liké your vidéos..i don t speak english. But i try..👍👏👏👏♥️
Thank you, very much!!!! I'm so glad you like our videos, too! You did very well with English, also
Thanks you
🙏🙏😘😘😘♥️♥️♥️
You are so welcome! I do love the comments and getting to talk to you, also
Wow alot of great free stuff, prefect to sell at a yard sale..
Thank you! It really was, most of it has sold already, too!
Another great video. The furniture & rugs were beautiful. Those would be high $$$ sells in my area. Cute little kitchen. Thanks for doing the recap & comps 😊
Thank you so much!!! Those did do pretty well. Our area can be pretty competitive, but those we so nice, stylish and clean that they sold very fast for more than average prices for us. Thank you again (for the input on the video, too!)
@@FlippinTheMitten I finally caught your wife’s name in this video. So funny, I have a sister Bobbie (same spelling) and her husband is Mike. Lol
Wow, that is hilarious! What are the odds of that, lol
Cool finds
Thank you! I was very happy with the finds... it really was a fun, great day of picking
Bring old towels & blankets & tie downs!
You are so right! As we do often, we left in a big hurry without at least a few things, lol
Great video!👍♥️
Thank you!!!
pretty area lots of finds
It really is pretty. I feel lucky to have this type of event nearby, too
love!!!!
Thank you!!!!
I just found your channel a picker from Michigan and I subscribed
How nice!!! I'm so glad you found our channel. It is so fun to hear that
We need . this in the UK
It is really nice when that day comes around!
I would have bought the light from You loved it.
Love it❤
Thank you!!!!!!
Awesome ❤
Thank you!!!!
Great job 😊
Thank you!!
I would love that kitchen set for my grandbaby she's my first grandbaby she would love it
It really is so nice! That's the same thing we were thinking... our grandbaby would love this. Grandchildren are so wonderful! She did get it already and she loves it, too. Maybe if she tires of it soon enough, we'll find a way to make it known and bring it to the flea market (just in case you're near enough to have it for your grandbaby)
Good score I also found so much someone was moving and they threw everything out I found brand new gift sets clothes with tags and so much more I'm glad I'm a dumpster diver too I never have to buy nothing
That is an awesome score! I love getting the new with tags stuff. We get stuff to sell a lot of ways, but ways like dumpster diving and curbside treasure hunting are so satisfying
I would love to do this! Here in the UK there are not many that out items out, we do. Everything we put out goes. Gifting the neighbourhood. Years ago I did do a yard sale to raise money for Biafra as they were starving. The light you could sell on eBay help towards you fuel costs?
The same thing happens here, sometimes. This particular town seems to really get into this event. I will say that there are some other days that quite a bit of good stuff can be found. About that light, I'm still thinking about it, lol
Very nice and fun..
Thank you so much! That is really nice to hear. These comments really do brighten our day!
28:23 the car in the box is LOL as well
Thank you!!! That helps a lot. Identifying everything that we're not familiar with is such a big job!
Y u didn't pick up what u pulled out of bags u just left stuff all over the ground
I did notice some of that, too. Because some of that did happen. I do think I made it look a lot worse by not putting in any footage of us picking stuff up (which we did a lot of). I guess you learn a lot by watching yourself work on video
Hi from lower Michigan nice finds
Hi, back!!!! Thank you, I was super happy with the finds, too
Kool stuff
Thank you! We were so happy with the stuff... most of it sold quickly, too
The Jellycat Rainbow Cake soft toy still had tags and sell well here in the uk.
Thank you, that really does help! With all the stuff we go through, sometimes it's very hard to get all the items checked carefully... I'm sure we let a good item go unnoticed sometimes. So, thank you for pointing out one that may have potential!
U got some good stuff!
Thank you! We were super happy with the finds that. A day like that just makes me feel lucky to get to do this!
good for you I'm glad you're able to make a little money times are tough for people ❤ ❤
Thank you, we definitely work very hard at all of this. Reselling can be fun and exciting at times, but it takes an awful lot to make it work
Just take the rugs! They are nice.
You past a wood night stand with western theme.
Oh...I must have totally missed that! I don't even remember seeing it right now. I'm going to have to look for it next time I watch this video again, lol
You should take the light fixture.
Thank you for your vote on that! I'm still thinking about that light fixture!
That green tray table was so cute. I live in Atlanta and I have never found great stuff like you guys. Where are you?
I agree, it is so cute! We are in Michigan, near Detroit and Ann Arbor. We do find some good stuff pretty regularly, but that event is definitely the best place and time to pick around here.... by a long shot
I went to high school in Plymouth between Detroit and Ann Arbor
I thought you knew the area well, lol!
I wish our town still did this. Now they set up dumpsters at the police station each year.
Wow, that's a bummer! I have always thought that this town keeps doing it this way for a few reasons, one of them that it must save a lot of money in dump fees
I just found your channel. Not sure where y'all are at but, i go way up north to visit my son and family in Eden Prairie, MN and one neighborhood you were at looked so much like the one at Edina I think it was for an estate sale. It was an awesome older home for sale but developers buy them up, tear them down and build bigger homes that have none of the charm. I felt so sad about that. Btw, I live jn Louisiana and been a resller for a very long time. Y'all have a new subscriber!!
I know what you're saying about the older homes, it is sad. We're in Michigan, by the way, lol. Thank you for subscribing, I'm glad you did!
first time I have watched your chanel. great fines . Loved the vintage green table/tray. No to the light. .. .
How nice! I'm so glad you have watched. Thank you, about the light, too. I did feel a little bad about leaving it. I thought it was a lot of trouble and might get broken in the truck
I would’ve taken the doll furniture. Possibly American Girl??
I agree with that call! Maybe you're referring to the stuff we did get, but I find myself wondering if we missed some more doll stuff, lol
That mirror is great but heavy to ship but if buyer pays shipping!
I do agree. I used to ship a lot of bigger things near that size, but I definitely do that rarely anymore
Lady!!!! Please be neater.
Omg my kids would have went crazy over that box of toys especially because i seen some LPS "LITTLE PET SHOP" animals ❤️ I spend so much $ on those dang things.. new subscriber here ❤️ love the vids
That box was awesome! There we so many dolls and pieces... and they were so clean. Thank you for subscribing and your very nice comment!!!!!
No to the light & shade
Thank you... I felt bad leaving it, but it seemed like too much trouble
The birthday cake soft toy is a jelly cat worth £50 pounds
Thank you!!! It is so much work to check for valuable items among so many things. Especially when there a lot of tiny, less familiar toys.
You took the grill but not the light fixture cause to big?
Yeah, I'm still thinking about the light fixture. I hesitated because I was worried
that it may get broken while we were out there and that sell kind of slow for us, but the grills always sell the first day (this one did sell already). I do still think maybe I should have tried the light, lol
The grill can be bought for $22.00
eBay should’ve got the lamp!
Love this! Just found your channel! So can I ask - how do you store all your finds if you are going out regularly? You must accumulate so many things. Do you have a storage unit? And do you make a decent full-time living reselling? Thanks
Hi, you sure can ask. We do have extra storage space at home and at our flea market booth, but we do still get overloaded sometimes. One of the things that helps is trying to sell some of the less valuable stuff cheap and quick as possible. Making a living as a full-time reseller can be hard work, but we have always managed to, at very worst make as much as working a decent hourly job. At best, when we've been doing a good job for a while, we can stay steadily at a much higher income. Not millions, of course, but definitely more comfortable. It does take a lot of work, though and any time we make changes, like spending more time at the flea market instead of selling online (for example) - our income can change quickly.
😮 IT USE TO SURPRISE ME WHAT PEOPLE THREW AWAY ! WE USE TO LIVES IN A BIGGER STATE AND WE COULD DECORATE A 3 STORY HOUSE EVERY WEEK
Lol, I love the way you said that, it captures it perfectly! It really is amazing, the stuff that people throw out
@@FlippinTheMitten IT'S DEFINITELY A THROW AWAY WORLD ! ESPECIALLY IN THE RICH AREAS AND WE SAY THAT IS OK, WE'LL PICK IT UP & RECYCLE IT FOR THEM ! LOL IT'S A LOT BETTER THAN GOING INTO THE LANDFILLS !
@@FlippinTheMitten LOL, WE HAVE BEEN SCRAPPING FOR A VERY LONG TIME, WAY BEFORE THE INTERNET! ( LOL SHOWING MY AGE ) & WE HAD FOUND TONS OF STUFF THROUGH THE YEARS ! YOU HAVES TO CHECK INTO EVERYTHING CAUSE YOU MAY EVEN FINDS SOME MONEY IN THE TRASH TOO
Well said, I couldn't agree more. It is one of the benefits of the hard work that we both know. Besides getting to hunt for good stuff, we can feel good about those extra things!
I think I responded to this one on your other reply, LOL. I guess I'll do it again and say I also agree about checking everything. We haven't found a lot of money, but have found some. And definitely other valuable stuff!
Can't believe you didn't get blueberry nachos
I can't believe it either, lol!
Never heard of blueberry nachos before sound yummy wonder if they ever went back he didn’t even see if they had a drive up is in that much hurry kind of sad
I did watch a video I think you should have picked up that lamp it was very pretty that would be nice in a ladies closet order our own private bathroom I think you could have easily gotten 90 bucks for it so why did you leave it people are always remodeling their homes and if they can find the items that they want for sale at a lower price they will save a lot of money if you see any more lamps don't pass them up take a photo put it in the album and you can advertise it for a DIYER project.
I'm still thinking about it, too! I think I hesitated mainly because I was afraid that it would get ruined while we were out there. When I think of it now, I think I should've just taken it!
I would’ve bought that for my hallway was beautiful and so classy and simple easily with $100 plus shipping
I do still regret not getting it. That kind of day really makes me think we should get a giant truck!
WE GOES SCRAPPING TOO BUT WE TAKES MOSTLY METAL BUT IF SOME OTHER STUFF IS REALLY NICE THEN WE WILL TAKES IT TOO ! UNFORT. OUR TRUCK BROKE DOWN AND SO, I'M WATCHING IT ON YT
That is a bummer about your truck. We've had the same thing happen before. We were out of commission for a bit, too. We were lucky enough to be able to fix it. I've always worried about that happening at a time when you can't fix it. I hope you can get back on the road sometime to do it again
Wow our stuff here in New Zealand would be 2 to 3 times the price of what the prices of what Youse are saying the cost of them there that’s amazing Even our secondhand shops like op shop’s are More costly then the prices you’re saying that you can get those things cost wow that’s amazing
I think our area does have pretty cheap prices. To me, it seems like we have quite a bit of competition here among resellers, stores, flea markets, etc...
Great finds! Where are you located?
Thank you! We were so happy with the finds, once again. We're in Michigan (which you may already know) and this bulk pick up day is near us, in Plymouth
Cool, I have family in Michigan!!
It's such a small world! Well, if you ever end up here, near the flea market in Romulus stop in and say hi!
They left so many good things behind 😢
Hi new here
Hi! I'm glad you're here, thank you for saying hello!!!
I want to know what city n state that is, and what area of town OMG Beautiful!
It really is! It is in Plymouth in the beautiful state of Michigan
I like that u salvage this stuff, but it's interesting that you think that retail pricing will work at a flea market. Ppl are looking for decent deals. That's why it's called a flea market
Oh, I maybe didn't say it right each time, but the higher price stuff probably isn't going to the flea market because you are absolutely right, we mostly get lower prices for stuff there.
James martin mirror $ 400 to $800
Did you take the little kichen?
Yes, we did get it. We had to fit it in the back seat, lol
Yes you should have
Thank you for that! I have still been thinking about leaving that, lol. I think I was mostly worried that we would wreck it while we were out there or while storing it among everything else we have for sale
Do you resell on EBAY
Hi, we sure do. We sell things multiple different ways, but eBay is always one of our mainstays
What city were you "shopping"?
It was in Plymouth
@@FlippinTheMitten After I saw the ice cream shop, I knew. I treasure hunt for myself there. Wondered if I missed another local city to trash pick. You had a great haul.
Did yal have a flat
We didn't in the latest video, but we did have one a while back and had to leave our trailer at the flea market
Are you in Plymouth??
Yes, exactly! You are the first one to guess that.
@@FlippinTheMitten currently live in Midland Mi. husband used to work in Plymouth years ago. I also worked in the canton area. The Sutherland street sign and the Dairy go round, got me!!
That's so neat! I would probably only recognize the ice cream place, lol
I went to high school at Plymouth Canton and lived in Plymouth 2 years.
I thought you knew the area well, lol. It's so neat hearing from people that know the area. It really does add to the fun
I don't understand why these people don't donate these items to Habitat For Humanity or to other places that could use the money ? I do find it odd how everything is put out in row instead of in a pile.
Jeremiah chater 10 NO Christmas Trees
There’s so much you can donate that you are passing on. Donations are tax deductible!
You are so right! I hate that space is such an issue a lot of times
You need gloves. The man is charming.
Thank you, that is a very, very nice thing to say!! You're right about the gloves, too.
It’s a bean bag you sit on
Thank you! I hate when I can't think of a common word or item while I'm working on them
U all need a trailer for ur pick ups.
DEPENDING UPON HOW WIDE SOME OF THEIR STREETS ARE AND IF THEY ARE GOING DOWN THE DEAD END RD IT'S SUPER HARD TO TURN THE TRUCK & TRAILERS AROUND !? WE ARE ON THE EAST COAST BUT WE DON'T SHOW IT ONLINE ! SOME TIMES I WISHED THAT WE COULD USE 1 TOO BUT, THAT'S OUR ISSUE AND THEN WE CAN'T JUST PICKS EVERYTHING UP 😢
You are so right! We actually have an old, utility type trailer, but we didn't have time to empty it before we left. We had just finished emptying a storage unit that we had bought and wanted to get out there before it was too late. We sure regretted not having it
I know what you mean. We took a trailer the first week of this event (if you didn't that video yet) I got into a really tight spot TWICE. I was a bit worried about whether I could get out, especially one of the times. It took so long to turn around that I bet we didn't leave it in the video
I can not believe you leave so much good stuff ,for a good car boot .you look like you have not done it befor .
You are finding so much on the curb. I have one suggestion, slow your movements with the camera. You are taking us along, but you are jerking in so many directions, I got woozy. Just sayin'.
Thank you for the suggestion. I really does help. I am always trying to get better and with a lot going on during filming and with long hours of work and editing, it is really easy to not notice certain things for a while. I hadn't noticed that much in the videos lately, so thank you for mentioning it so that I can keep an eye on that.. right now instead of later. The only sad part is that we've recorded more videos before I read this, lol
Since you're not taking that stuff out of the trash can why do you call it trash somebody else's item is somebody else's find how about a people go to your house and pick up all the trash
Why u scratching out my table, beautiful table how it’s design I can take it down and put it back up. You guys are tearing up the top putting your meat pounders on there so sad.
