My ex boyfriend, we are still close lol, he recently retired, sold his house and is buying a motorhome. He was getting ready for an estate sale and askes me ro come down and go through everything. He had a big santa blow mold and the the holy family still in rhe box. The estate sale company hadn't seen them yet so he gave them to me. I did tell him they would sell well and to keep them for the sale but he said he would be happier if i had them. I was so excited.
I have that nativity mold set. I found it in the trash where the family was moving... The home owner told me he had originally found it in someone elses trash years before. My Holy Family now sits on a shelf inside my garage and welcomes me whenever I come home. It's like the little set had divine help stayin alive all these years.
Professional embroiderer here, for the giants hat, never cut the threads, pull them from the back if possible and use a heat gun to shrink the fibers. I love a small craft heat gun for this but if using a regular heat gun turn the hat inside out and hold the heat gun well away and quickly pass over a little at a time. All fixed and won't unravel.
@@ShinyBriteDoggo this method will only shrink loose fibers but won't pull loose threads from the other side. It can leave the threads looking shriveled so it's important to pull the loose threads through to the back side before hand. Great finds!
First, I subscribed because you are so sweet and kind. Specifically, leaving the scooter, and other things you could easily sold, for someone with children to find. 😘 Secondly, I have questions. 😂 What kind of dream are you living in where trash day looks like this???? I never saw any actual trash, just like a free neighborhood yard giveaway! What’s going on here, please? 😊
Thank you for taking us along on your adventures! Keep the Sears catalog! It helps to date items and is soooo cool to look through! Love from Morris County, NJ!❤
Two things: 1. Get those styrofoam heads out of those masks, they are the reason they are dry rotting so fast! Stuff the masks with plastic grocery bags, there are collectors out there who can do some restoration, but they eventually will rot. 2. If you don’t have one, get a stepper bit for a drill so you can properly cut a larger hole in that plastic bunny. You can also use this stepper bit for modern LED blow molds if you get a non working one. Just remove the guts, drill a hole in the back and add a light and your good!
I thought this channel would be great, I watch many dumpster divers and trash pickup. It’s fun to see what everyone gets. I just saw 31 minutes of decisiveness, rambling on & on about the blow molds you picked up. I know how excited you were and that is wonderful. I saw the prices you could sell them for which is amazing. That would make anyone happy and excited. All I can say is before you leave your house have a plan and just grab whatever you want. Don’t linger there waiting for someone to tell you to take it. Trash is trash! Be Brave!
Finally!! Another person in America who has never seen Friends and doesn't care to! 😂 I thought I was alone... What an incredible haul! Oh those blow molds... ❤❤
It is strange because I was at high school when Friends first aired, I never watch much TV of anything at all, at school, I played sports, hockey, tennis and rounders and never had much time for TV. It was on on Friday nights here in the UK. Everyone was talking about it at school so I tuned in midway in season 1. It was revolutionary, at the time in the UK we had no coffee shops, Costa and Starbucks was yet to arrive. I had yet to visit New York, (I have now) so I enjoyed the setting. I really did enjoy the idea of the friendship group of six people. I can't believe how dated it is. A time before social media too. It is a lot of people's comfort show I think. Clare from the UK.
Those Halloween bin finds are a miracle 😂. The little ghost holding the pumpkin and skull is the one blow mold from my childhood I recently acquired too! The wooden witch is awesome too! We had a wooden witch similar to that along with a Ghost and pumpkin when I was a kid but it's long gone now :(
Hey beautiful ladies!!! I have Worthpoint and use it so much! If you need some information on certain items you found, I can happily see what information I can obtain for you!! What a crazy insane JACKPOT you all hit!!! ❤
Just discovered your Channel and subscribed. Loved watching you find amazing treasure👏🏻👏🏻You can fix blow molds that are cracked. I have done it many times and still sold them for a lot !!! (disclosed repairs) If the edges of the crack line up you can use epoxy. Just follow directions on epoxy package and use painters tape to hold it together until it dries then use a razor or sandpaper to smooth repair. If the edges of crack don’t line up or there is a chunk missing you can cut a plastic milk bottle to repair . Cut a strip from bottle and apply to the inside or underside with epoxy then smooth repair with sandpaper. Your sleigh you picked up should be an easy repair using just the epoxy. Wether you sell it or not the repair will prevent further cracking and breakage. Hope this was helpful.😁
Why don't you just take EVERYTHING and donate what you can to the thrift stores?? I see you leaving a LOT of great stuff behind. Liked and subscribed!! Enjoy the blessings of the trash picking. Have a very blessed day!!
5:49 weekend at Bernie’s and winter collab’ed to make that snowman. Not a humidor. You should have taken the moose and used it in a plant pot. What plant wouldn’t look better with a moose?
The bunny bank is vintage and the coins sound a little different so some of the quarters in there may be older sterling silver ones they have a different sound when the clank around and are worth a lot more than .25 cents. You can just cut a hole out of the bottom when you are ready to get the money out👍
Blow molds are my favorite things of all!!! Never ever would they be in the trash here in AZ they would be 100’s for the Santa and sleigh w/reindeer and the Halloween ghosts 250 or so!!! Great picking!!! I wanna come to the East but don’t know if I could handle the cold!!!
OMG! So happy for yall in picking up all that awesome stuff! It's a good thing you passed on the scooter or you would have had to fund a place to put it.. haha
You can clean the Air Pods! My boyfriend bought a set of used ones from a resale store (Unclaimed Baggage), and they thoroughly clean their products before selling them. They're worth quite a bit of money if you didn't want to keep them.
Omg I can’t believe what the people in that area are tossing or getting rid of 😮😮😮 You did fantastic 😊 I must say that you need a pickup truck 🛻 for days like this 🎃👻
Thanx for the info! I believe I have an old Scream mask from the 90s that my sons wore as teenagers in our old Halloween stash. We just put jenky masks and hands in our bushes for decor but since we moved- we get no Trick or treaters here. I’m going to have to check the pedigree of that mask! Guess it might just pay off being a hoarder!🤣
We do not have this system of putting all your stuff to the curb like that its awesome for you guys to find your treasures & that you donate good items its something I would be addicted to doing if I lived there lol Great finds!!!!
It is sometimes hard to figure out the thought process of some people. That family with all the bins decided to just give away a whole yard full of vintage things. Then they also decided that they would keep some of the blowmolds to sell later. They could have just had a big yard sale and sold all of it and made some good money. It is lucky for you two that they didn't do that! You found (and bought) some great things on this hunt, thanks for sharing!
Wow great finds, you should do Whatnot with the items you don't want to keep. The small stuff as well. I wonder if there is a way to fix the Santa and sleigh. I would be looking on RUclips, just a thought. All the squish mellows would be great on Whatnot. I am so happy for you girls; I really enjoyed a Longer video. Thanks for taking us along. 🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩

Those sears catalogs go for some big cash. Scrapbookers and junk journal makers pay decent money for them.
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE garbage picking video EVER

Great finds especially for the squishmallows

A little wood putty and paint to repair witches nose. And just tie some raffia or sticks from the yard to the end of broom. So glad you saved her👏🏻👏🏻

Wow, what a score! All those blow molds are awesome! And I love the painted plywood witch.

Or get a kitchen knife put the bank on its side and put the knife in and you can work the coins out that way without ruining the bank.
