This episode made me so sad. This was someone's entire life, wrapped up in memories. Nicknacks, children's toys from the 60s-90s, treasured Christmas decorations, momentos from trips, sewing scraps, embroidered linens, crocheted blankets, handmade quilts, pictures. There was so much stuff, and I can't believe you thought it was a hoarder locker. I knew early on it was 60+ years of memories that people keep that were very special to them. I know you have to make your money back, but like the homemade stuff, children's childhood toys, which were probably her children and grandchildren's, I would set those aside and offer them along with the American flag back to the family. I know you won the locker, but if you have a heart, it would be a nice gesture to offer some of the family heirlooms back. ❤
You might want to check behind the backing of the painting that was in the "back of painting" box. A lot of older people hid things in picture frames and maybe that was a reminder for them...or it could be nothing ☺️
Yes! Behind framed art and photos, and in books and Bibles can often be found money and important documents.

you have steif bears!!!...they are rare and worth A LOT, especially with the metal tag...get it checked out...don't do a lot with those...it's the box marked steif!!!...great find!!

Wade, you need a retractable key holder for your belt or belt loop... to attach your box cutter to. OR... wear "cargo shorts with pockets" for several box cutters 👍

The doll in the "piano" box is a Kuppie doll, most likely 60 or 70. The candle holders fit the black wall sconces you opened at the beginning. The pink crochet item is for an extra toilet paper.
I'm an old lady who loves to sew, knit, crochet. The joke in my generation is, "She who dies with the most fabric wins!" Apparently your owner was trying to win? (lots of cool fabric)

WMF is a high-end german brand of cookware and cutlery
They took such care to keep those crocheted afghans clean and well kept. You threw them on those dirty boxes!!! Some respect needs to be shown !!!!!!
How can you forget a table, box cutters, trash cans, and basic tools nearly every time you work a storage unit?
You are constantly forgetting your table, your knife, etc. then repeatedly complaining about not having it throughout the whole video. This is your job. You should automatically make sure you bring your tools of the trade to that job.

All those made in Germany are worth money, especially teddy bears with metal buttons. Steiff bears are straw stuffed. The company has been in business since 1880. Claim to have the first factory produced teddy bears. Very collectible. Suggest checking prices on all the stuffed animals made in Germany.
You have OCD right. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this before but you repeat everything at least once. We call it the Wade's Venture drinking game😅 every time you repeat yourself we have a drink😅

OMG. When you took out that doll toward the end and said "what's up with that butt" i laughed with no sound coming out of my mouth. Then i laughed for at leadt 10 seconds. Too funny. I am one that doesnt laugh easily, but you guys crack me up. I also laughed at the glass blown "shopping cart". You two are great together! God bless you both.
Those blush things in the kids' box are sewing kits from the 60's. Made them when I was young.

That is a hand painted ceramic nativity set. The name is the woman who cleaned down the greenware & then painted the fired bisque & sprayed a surface protecter coat over the paint. She did a beautiful job on it! The other letters stand for Vancouver Washington, I think. She would have spent a fair amount of money to buy & fire those pieces & then the paint. That is my best guess, I used to have a kiln & did ceramics.
If the Santa and the old linen's are an indicator of the rest of the unit then you will make your money back and then some.
I have a hand blown pedestal punch bowl mini hand blown at the state fair in WV . I was there when my grandma bought it inabout 1974. I have others as well that I got different places. I would stand for hours at the fair watching the glass blower make the mini items.
I think the locker owners were old, probably just the grandmother. Children traveled and sent gifts home. Grandma opened up the gifts, wrapped them back up and packed them away. This is what it was like going through my mama’s things. Sweet.

Her kids must be about mine and Grandma Ventures ages. So many of the kids things are sparking memories. Many other things are familiar from my mom and my grandma. Fun one for me. ❤ I can't wait to see the rest of the unit unboxing!
Lots of older German things. Also their name sounds German. These old people either emigrated many decades ago. Or their parents did and relatives sent stuff over from Germany up to a certain point. And those people never threw any of their stuff away. Great finds. I'd love to dig through this.

I love Steiff plush, I sold my Bunny for $50 last month. The old German bears fetch $100.00- $1000.00 The chicks and ducklings are about $35.00. Great Haul guys. Vintage Samsonite 1980’s 5 piece Luggage Set $100.00 new in the box...They were definitely into painting and firing ceramics... Can't wait to see more...

The last couple plaster plates you found--My local plaster shop still sells those same plate molds!! I painted the rocking chair one for Christmas this past year. Mine didn't look nearly as good, though. Love those and all the retro towels and Owls!
