I have a comment about the lane cedar chest. I believe you can look at the serial number backward to learn the date the chest was manufactured. This is how Lane cataloged their cedar chests. This is especially important if you ever find an old lane chest.
Assuming someone is an alcoholic is a hurtful thing to think. You know it is very possible that they went to a liquor store and got boxes that were being thrown away to use to move. I have moved numerous times in my life and I have picked up boxes that were being thrown out by grocery stores. As a recovering alcoholic myself , shame on you.
Though interesting stuff they find, I view these type of people as scavengers those who prey on peoples misfortunes like a tow truck driver. I'm sure they are nice people but how they speak with peoples belongings just puts me off, kind of smug. They've obviously never felt the pinch of the real world.

AND BECAUSE I WAS "1" DAY LATE AND I HAD made a partial payment that the person who took my payment and put it on the wrong account so the Mgr didn't know anything about it and so therefore I lost all of my Mother's antiques, photos and China... You name it, it's actually very hard for me to watch this for too long of a time, So I feel for the people who lost their things!!! It gets overwhelming to think about ESPECIALLY LOSING ALL PERSONAL PHOTOS AND LEGAL PAPERWORK ETC... SO YES ITS EXTREMELY UNFORTUNATE FOR ANYONE WHO LOSES THEIR THINGS!!! 😢

This looks like my Mothers jewelry. I love the charm bracelet, the charms are worth hundreds each. Was the purple stone amethyst? She probably had a mink stole too! Wow what a great unit, easily worth 20 or 30K just in jewelry. I think he said there was one 1 carat diamond and four 1/2 carats spread over the different rings. Looked like a lot of fun. I would have loved digging through that gold mine.

maybe you should invest in a cart or two in case, like this facility, they have no carts available. that had to have been a pain hauling all that out by hand. Piece by piece. maybe even a hand truck for bigger pieces of furniture. This was a fun video to watch.

The set of plates are Franciscan the design is called Desert Rose. With a little research (Google etc.) you will see the do have value, especially to collectors or to complete a set for someone. My deserning Godmother had them.

Personally, I would be a bit careful with pawnshops. They may not give the correct estimate value of those items because they are not ready to pay more than they have to. However, antique dealers etc. do exactly the same thing.

Tip; Old original Bowie knives don't say, Original Bowie in the knife. Just a Bowie. Shun can be valuable but those are standard Amazon set probably 3-350 dollars. some shun can cost thousands per.

The man's leather wrist cuff, has a Morgan silver dollar on it. Depending on the condition of the coins, they are worth a decent amount of money.
