The little pink cat with polka dots was Custard, Strawberry Shortcake’s cat, and it was from the Party Pleaser doll. I had it when I was little! 🥰

So I had a bell charm necklace and a bracelet. For me, i would estimate it would have been in the 1985 ish time frame. You could get the charms in those plastic egg vending machine things. They were also a staple at arcades in both claw games and as a prize for tickets. I don’t ever remember being able to buy them directly at stores. I would trade amongst my friends for ones I wanted, although we were always all after the same ones! I also remember it being one of those flash in the pan things. Like all girls my age seemed to have them and we all seemed to lose interest in them at around the same time. That’s just my memory. It was fun seeing those in that box! Lots of memories.

@@amydaisy933 yes! And the randomness of those vending machines meant you ended up with a lot of duds 😆 it would take a lot of work (and quarters) to get the good stuff

80s kid here. looks like you found the coveted 80s junk necklace. I got some more detailed expensive version individual charms that looked similar at a sticker/novelty store in the 80s at the Willow Grove Mall in PA. You would have flipped the store sold rolls of Lisa Frank stickers like a wall full. Also some junk necklaces came with random cheaper charms like full collection on a chain that were a cheaper quality. The cat with hat and horn is from Strawberry Shortcakes party pleaser series. The lineculer book cover and puppet like characters inside takes me back I had Goldilocks and the three bears late 70s as a toddler. fun finds

I live in Canada but recently I was in the US visiting my girlfriend and happen to look out the front window and noticed that the neighbours across the street had put 4 blow molds at their curb....a long skinny 3.5ft pumpkin and the 3 wise men....so Im thinking "Laura and Jeanine would scoop those up in a heartbeat' so I went across the street, talked the neighbours to inquire about their treasures at the curb and they told me to go ahead and take them off their hands.....needless to say, I came home with 4 blow molds!!!......I found it funny because Ive never experienced that and Ive never seen anything like that in the area that I live in.....so thank you for putting that idea out there!!.....I LOVE YOUR VIDS!!!.....keep them up.....I get so excited when I see a new one post........ ;-D

I so remember growing up in the 80's and having those necklaces/charms. I remember they were a popular fad. I'm Canadian and I remember seeing these being sold at stores like Zellers and I think I remember seeing these being sold at corner stores. They were sold everywhere. If I knew back then I would've kept a lot of my 80's toys. I only kept a couple of plush toys like my original E.T. plush toy. My dad had surprised me with it the day he took me to the movies to see the film. It has sentimental value to me. I also have an original Papa Smurf and Grumpy Bear plushie. Glad I kept those. I wish I had kept a couple of my vinyl figures. I had a couple of Gremlins and Cabbage Patch doll vinyl figures. I'm kicking myself for not keeping my Garbage Pail cards/stickers.
